An augmentation of the original sensory organs without completely replacing them. These augments function as a pseudo plug in, enhancing what already exists without the need for complete cybernetic replacement of functioning biological organs.

Featuring a limited zoom function and integrated flashguard filtering, the ocular enhancement offers extra functions beyond the existing system. Paired with the attention to minute physical details and processing enhancements, this package is excellent for delegates and gamblers alike.

The auditory enhancement features an integrated sonic dampner system for sudden, high volume protection. This enhancement also grants the recipient acute hearing functions, able to listen in on conversations some distance away through a crowd with dedicated focus and ingenious use of the sonic dampner system.

  • It's Yours, Plus Some - The process of this augmentation is invasive, but grants the recipient enhanced sensory functions in regard to information processing capabilities, paired with enhanced visual and auditory perception. As with the standard package this system is based off of, the system enhances the senses beyond what it is biologically capable without removing any organic systems but rather adding to them.
  • Hear and See More - Using the same true-fleck brain implants and artificial hypergleamum glands as the original system, the enhancement adds processing capabilities alongside extrasensory functions. From hearing at beyond standard frequencies, to five times zoom and enhanced visual acquity, the augmentation allows the recipient to process all of this extra information.
  • Automatic Filter - With an integrated flashguard filter in the auxiliary receptor housing, sudden bright lights and flashes are a worry of the past.
  • Integrated Sonic Dampner - While the integrated dampner will not nullify sonic attacks, it will reduce sudden high pitched or volume noises that enters the auditory receptors. Typically reserved for hearing sensitive beings and those in high volume work environments, the integrated dampner can nullify sudden high volume exposures.

  • Giveaway - While the augment is largely hidden, in a typical humanoid, a telltale sign of this augment being present is the rings that are visible in the iris as well as a glow that emits without specialized contacts from the auxiliary receptors working to capture light and minute details.
  • Stuck if Struck - One of the notable downfalls of this augmentation however is the rather fragile manner with which the auxiliary optical nerve functions. The addition of a zoom function, however limited, can fail to revert to standard vision if the user's cranium is struck sufficiently. A reset period is required as the users vision will be temporarily, and in the worst cases for an extended duration, stuck in the zoom function.
  • Strobes - While the automatic flashguard filter is handy, it can be caught in a loop of filtering on and off if light conditions are unstable such as consistently flashing lights, or flashes are being emitted inconsistently in a dark environment. The system can be disabled with pressure along the optical augmentation line, but leaves the user at standard disadvantage to flashbacks and other sudden bright emissions.
  • Constant Volume - If the environment in which the user is in maintains a constant high volume level, it is possible for the dampner to actively muddle surrounding sounds in an attempt to preserve the users hearing. Including nearby voices or sounds in direct proximity to the augmented user.
  • Defibrillator - The use of a defibrillator, i.e. a direct shock to the nervous system, on an individual with this augmentation may result in damage to their augmentation. This damage could result in the shutdown of their enhanced senses bringing them back to their standard senses and requiring repair to their augmentation.

The market for cybernetic augmentations is significant and diverse, but Niki sought something a bit more biologically friendly. Using pre-existing augmentations as a basis, she sought to remedy the need for removal or replacement of the recipient's sensory organs.

Using her Organ-replacement cloning system for testing, she was able to meld this system through trial and error into a viable augmentation by simply hijacking the optical nerve with auxiliary nerve receptors wrapped around the primary. Allowing for the existing optical nerve to remain while adding the secondary functions of the augmentation to the biological eye. The auxiliary receptors are visible through this process however, and require specialized contacts to hide the receptor rings that are visible as well as the glow that emits from the augmentation.

Functioning off of biological energy, the system is self-contained by use of the organic body's metabolic functions through tying auxiliary cords into the recipient's nervous system.
