  • Universal Components and Features
    • Oversight Computer Brain - System Unification and Governing Functions
    • FAE/S-12 "Dream Sight" Combat Sensor System Mk. II
    • Energized and Reactive Polymer Underlay Construction - Total Body Augmentation
    • Miniaturized Capacitor - Secondary Functions
      • The capacitor draws most of its power from the HAPU, but secondary power may be drawn from the thermoelectric conversion cells via the thermal regulation system, which draws from the wearer’s body heat.
    • Mk. V Flexibility Enhancement
    • Dynamic Traction Node Array
      • Traction grip nodes composed of programmable microstructures (nano-scale articulated filaments) are embedded just beneath the suit’s outer layer on the palms, forearms, and soles At rest, these nodes sit flush. However, when engaged, the nodes reconfigure their texture in milliseconds, changing from smooth to high-friction grip patterns tuned to the surface beneath. Passive micro-sensors in the palms, forearms, and soles continuously scan texture, hardness, and thermal conductivity of whatever they touch, to identify the surface type. Profiles include ice (microscopic spike protrusions), polished alloy (micro-suction and gecko-inspired molecular adhesion), loose gravel (splayed, high-surface area treads), and yet more. After contact, the programmable surface resets back to smooth mode, shedding dirt, ice, or debris automatically. Self-cleaning transpires via vibrational micro-displacement, preventing buildup that would compromise performance.
      • The traction grip nodes can bias their friction in one direction, allowing for active grip enhancement.
    • FAE/C-03 BioMedical Support System
      • Life support and medisensor / bioscanner functions only.
      • Triple-Layer Thermal Regulation System
        • The suit features a sealed, closed-loop thermal regulation system that augments the wearer’s natural body heat regulation with advanced heat capture and recycling. A skin-contact microcapillary mesh draws heat from muscles and vessels, transferring it to a phase-change buffer layer that stores it as latent energy. Excess heat is then converted into electrical power via thermoelectric cells, which provides additional power to the suit’s energy capacitors. A non-evaporating thermal fluid circulates through the suit like a second vascular network, cooling hotspots before recirculating.
        • In cold conditions, the suit can reverse thermal flow, releasing stored heat back into the body. It equalizes temperature across core and extremities, harvesting even minimal ambient heat and maintaining a stable skin microclimate. If no heat is banked, the suit taps into the energy capacitors, converting energy into heat for warmth.
      • Liquid Reclamation System
        • The suit absorbs, reclaims, and reuses the wearer’s evaporation sweat mist and ionically conductive microfilm, harvesting the latter’s electrostatic charge for power. An anti-microbial, self-cleaning inner lining keeps the suit sterile and dry for long missions. The skin-contact layer is slightly pressurized, encouraging sweat & mist to wick outward naturally into the absorption network. This maintains a stable microclimate against the skin, preventing discomfort or pruney skin from long-term use.
    • Hybrid AEGIS Nanoarray-Energy Sink System
    • Self-Repair System - Programmable Matter
    • Cybersecurity Suite
    • Magnetic Equipment Attachment Strips
    • D-Baffling System
  • Exoskeletal Spinal Interface
    • Spinal interface acts as a load-bearing conduit, reducing strain on the spine during high-G maneuvers or rapid vector changes. It aids in reinforcing spine and core musculature, improving strength, stability, and endurance. The device contains reactive polymers and nano-hydraulics that additionally enhance sprinting, climbing, wall-running, and sustained high-speed pursuit. The interface is linked to the user via the Ghost Link, ensuring a direct neural connection which effectively allows the interface to prime itself for movement almost before the wearer is fully conscious of it.
    • Energy Shield Integration Point
    • HAPU Mini-Cell
  • Face Mask or Helmet
  • FAE/A-07 Energized Neck Piece
    • Reactive targeting matrix, Dream Sight (along with accompanying subordinate systems), and smart contacts removed.
    • The neck piece is not used if a helmet is worn.

  • Velocity Redline: The Slipstream Zero is designed to enhance its wearer’s physical capabilities. Although it offers only a moderate augmentation to strength, its main function is in lowering the energy cost for physical exertions (namely running, sprinting, climbing, wall-running, etc.) and allowing for markedly increased stamina. In addition, the Ghost Link allows the wearer to control virtually all of the suit's functions and attached subsystems via mental command. This system provides further mental enhancement via the suit itself, which heightens and accelerates the user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power from the onboard computer. Thus, the suit enhances the user both physically and mentally.
  • Skin Shield: In spite of its predominantly skintight construction, the Slipstream Zero offers excellent resistance to energy and kinetic weapons, in addition to a high resistance to directed heat attacks. Estrian-ostrine composite armorweave, gammaplast armor padding, the miniaturized intrinsic shield array, and other systems all work together to lend the wearer excellent protection against these common battlefield threats.
  • Mind Shield: A Force shield integrated into the helmet provides excellent resistance against mental attacks, protecting the integrity of the mind against mentalism and other forms of Force intrusion.
  • Low Profile: The bodysuit has a greatly-diminished observation profile owing to its camouflage and polymer coatings, while the D-baffling system renders it nearly dead silent. Both of these systems lower the overall signature, but they do not offer true stealth capability or invisibility. Instead, they serve to make the suit and its wearer more difficult to distinguish from the surrounding environment, harder to track, and less readily detectable.
  • Spine Surge: Achieved via energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the suit and an exoskeletal spinal interface, the Slipstream Zero gives the wearer a twofold strength enhancement. In addition, the Ghost Link allows her to control virtually all of the suit's functions and attached subsystems via mental command. The Ghost Link provides further mental enhancement via the suit itself, which heightens and accelerates the user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power from the onboard computers. Thus, the suit enhances the user both physically and mentally.
  • Storm Chaser: The Slipstream Zero is EMP-hardened and ion-reinforced, ensuring that its systems retain their integrity and functionality even during conditions of heavy ionized and electromagnetic interference.

  • Acerbic Affliction: Unfortunately, acid weapons are very effective at eating through the bodysuit’s protective material to harm the wearer directly, potentially inflicting a host of dangerous effects.
  • Tensor: While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the bodysuit’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause severe injury.
  • Shield Projector Fragility: The Slipstream Zero is a high-tech bodysuit that depends in large part on its electronics for its defensive prowess. Thus, should its electronics be overloaded, disabled, or impaired, the suit’s ability to protect the wearer will suffer in turn. In such a case, the miniaturized intrinsic shield array might suffer malfunction. Since this system is a linchpin to the bodysuit’s resistance against disruptors (the protective material by itself is unable to adequately defend against this weapon type as solid materials can not be proofed against disruptors), these weapons will likely pose an especially mortal threat to the wearer in the event of system failure.
  • Surface Damage: While the bodysuit’s equipped Dream Sight has an extremely advanced surface-integrated passive reception array, any direct damage to the surface may diminish the effectiveness of the system due to the destruction of a number of passive micro-sensors. This can result in blind spots in the passive reception array.
  • Deep Freeze: While the suit is rated to protect the wearer from all environments (including arctic planets the likes of Hoth and Ilum), it unfortunately does not grade well in terms of defense against cold-based weaponry. That is to say that the biting, freezing power of cryogenic weapon systems is far more penetrating than that presented by cold environments. Thus, the wearer must rely on other means of protection should she come to face these weapons.

Designed by First United Astral Engineering (with input from the Vorrik Armatech subsidiary of Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing), the Slipstream Zero Exoskin Mk. I is a limited production combat exoskin designed for the exclusive use of Pursuit Zeros. Synergizing with the hyperaugmented Pursuit Zero physiology, the Slipstream Zero is designed to enhance mobility, endurance, survivability, utility, low-observability, and lethality while supporting the high-speed combat style that Pursuit Zeros are optimized for. To this end, First United Astral Engineering developed a number of new systems for the bodysuit, designed to enhance mobility and thermal regulation.

The most notable and important of these systems is the thermal regulation system, which can recycle and repurpose the wearer’s body heat, ensuring optimal thermal balance even in extreme conditions. The other is the dynamic traction node array, which was developed to ensure that rough and complex terrain does not impede high-speed movement. Utilizing programmable matter traction grip nodes, these units automatically shift their texture based on the terrain, optimizing grip and traction.

All in all, the Slipstream Zero is essentially an intelligent second skin, allowing Pursuit Zeros to maintain peak sprinting speed for longer and press the chase against the enemies of the Sith Dyarchy!
