- Accessibility:
- Accessing the Sith Citadel is a simple matter if one can make it to the surface of Exegol. The Red Honeycomb Zone and the Galactic Barrier, a chaotic web of anomalies that prevented travel, surrounded the Exegol System. The region was chaotic and deadly to traverse, only with a Sith Wayfinder could one locate a safe passage to Exegol through the Red Honeycomb Zone.
- The Brotherhood of the Maw’s Armada orbit Exegol when not on deployments across the galaxy, ever since the Great Exodus from Rhand, the Mawite Hordes and military forces of the Final Dawn patrol the throneworld of the Dark Voice regularly for intruders.
- To enter the Sith Citadel, one must simply step foot on the surface and walk under the inverted, floating citadel to the moving platform. Once there the individual is lowered into the depths or raised into it’s heights.
- Description:
- The Sith Citadel is an ancient fortress located on the hidden world of the Sith, Exegol. It is the seat of power of the Sith throughout the galaxy, the throneworld of the Brotherhood of the Maw, the headquarters of the New Sith Order, and the religious center of operations for the Church of the Dark Side. The Citadel is both under and above ground, with the latter being a large upside-down pyramid made of black stone. The structure floated above Exegol's surface, with a platform being used to lower individuals into the underground portion of the Citadel which contained an immensive hall filled with ancient Sith statues which included likenesses of Locphet, Mindran, Sissiri, Felkor, Nihilus, Naga Sadow, and many others. At the end of this great hall laid a laboratory constructed by Darth Sanguis and later used extensively by Darth Sidious and his Sith Eternal. It is here that genetic experimentation, cloning, Sith Alchemy, and dark science was performed, numerous strand-casts and abominations were birthed in the vats contained in this sinister laboratory. A massive amphitheater served as the Sith Throne Room which held the ancient ruins of the Throne of the Sith before it was restored.

- The Sith Citadel hosts the New Sith Order, the Throne of the Sith, and the Church of the Dark Side’s highest adherents. Sith cultists roam the halls of the vast citadel along with various experiments, sentries, and not to forget the Sith themselves. This place is the beating heart of darkness, the bastion of the Sith, to enter here is to invite disaster.

The Sith Citadel on Exegol was one of the earliest bastions of the Sith, as mentioned by the Jedi writer Kli the Elder in the Rammahgon, Ixigul (or Exegol as it would later be known) once had a fertile environment, until the ancient Sith colonized it and laid waste to the planet just as they did with Korriban, Ziost, and Asog. The Sith Citadel was built for meetings and rituals to be conducted within, faithful Sith loyalists excavated the world's large and deep planetary fissures in hopes of reaching a transportive vergence believed to lie beneath the planet surface.
Legend has it that, two Sith Lords, Darth Noctyss and Darth Sanguis, reached Exegol in their quest for immortality, which the former hoped to learn from the latter. Unknown to Noctyss, Sanguis had achieved immortality by transforming himself into a horrendous creature. Tricking Noctyss by not revealing himself as Darth Sanguis, Sanguis managed to be killed by Noctyss in a ritual to acquire immortality, leading Noctyss to conclude too late that Sanguis had tricked her into becoming a creature like him and freeing him from his miserable existence. Such was the price of immortality, such was the price of the Dark Side, a lesson to be learned.
Due to the remote location and secrecy of Exegol, the Sith Eternal cult chose the Citadel as its base of operations. By the time of the Galactic Empire, Darth Sidious had intended for Exegol to become his permanent seat of power. Seeking to unlock the secrets of immortality, he began to experiment with cloning technology in a bid to extend his lifespan. Sidious modernized the ancient shipyards and began construction of a massive fleet of planet-killing Xyston Class Star Destroyers.
When Darth Vader and Darth Sidious had a falling out, the Dark Lord encountered the Eye of Webbish Bog on Mustafar, who gifted him with a Sith wayfinder that led to Exegol. It was here he sought answers from his master, accompanied by the Sith assassin Ochi of Bestoon. Vader fought through Sidious' defenses and spotted the severed hand of his son, Luke Skywalker, in the cloning center. Eventually, Vader and Ochi found themselves faced with a mountain sized kyber crystal being tormented by their master's followers so they can corrupt it to the dark side and used to power his fleet's cannons. The power of the crystal was too much for Ochi, whose eyes were burnt by its power, but Vader pressed on, intent to finally have revenge on Sidious. Nevertheless, the Sith Master taunted Vader, telling him of his power and how he could only share it if he once again accepted his position as apprentice. Although Vader received a vision of his son telling him he was destined to kill Sidious, Vader agreed to rejoin his master.
After Darth Sidious' first death during the Battle of Endor, the Sith cultists of the Sith Eternal continued to construct the Final Order in a bid to reconquer the galaxy. Kylo Ren would come to confront a reborn Sidious here, forcibly locked away in a decaying clone body. The Resistance later mustered it’s forces and fought a desperate battle against the Sith Eternal and the First Order in a final battle that ultimately, with the help of the citizens' fleet, was able to destroy the Sith Star Destroyers and end the first incarnation of the Sith Eternal.
The Sith Citadel was subsequently abandoned, the Throne of the Sith destroyed, along with most of the amphitheater. It was found again centuries later after the Gulag Plague had wiped out a significant portion of the galaxy and plunged civilization into a new dark age. As nations recouped, new powers forming in the galaxy, the Citadel remained largely empty aside from the occasional visitor whom would discover it’s presence. With the ascendancy of the Brotherhood of the Maw and the illusive New Sith Order,

After the Feast of Folly at Mustafar, the sacking of both Felucia and Thule, purging Sith from the Empire and the resurgent Eternal across known space. The Schism had ended, the New Sith Order stood victorious and so consolidated their power by journeying from their redoubt on Epoch to Exegol where they would establish their new ceremonial seat of power. It was here amidst the chasms of the Great Citadel where the Eldritch Prophet

With the complete restoration of the Sith Citadel and notable expansions underway, the Brotherhood of the Maw crowned the hidden world of Exegol as their new throneworld and the Sith Citadel as the home of their Dark Voice. It was here that amidst the gathered faithful from the Church of the Dark Side spread across the galaxy, and the assembled New Sith Order that
