HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally built by the First Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era, over a millennia ago the Seswenna Military Shipyards was once an busy and active shipyard producing warships for the Galactic Empire, then the Eriadu Authority, the New Republic and later the Confederation and the Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. However during and after the Gulag Plague it fell into disrepair, underused by the various factions of the Galaxy that came to claim the Seswenna Sector including the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Despite a brief surge of activity during the brief time Ben Craig would serve as the Viceroy of Seswenna, the Seswenna Military Shipyards was left to it's own devices, partially abandoned and ignored by various corporations and governments. That was until the arrival of the Final Dawn.

When the Confederacy of Independent Systems collapsed, it left a massive power vacuum within it's former territories, a power vacuum in which various factions sought to exploit in order to expand their spheres of influence such as the Galactic Alliance, the Eternal Empire and just recently the Rimward Trade League, Mandalorian Enclave and the Empire. One of the first factions that had sought to take advantage of the chaos left behind by the Confederacy was the Final Dawn, a Unknown Regions-based Sith-aligned Military Junta which was also known as a subgroup of the Brotherhood of the Maw. Under the direction of the then-Grand Overseer Marlon Sularen and his trusted lieutenant Director-Admiral Dorian Sevenar of the Politorate (The Final Dawn's Intelligence Agency), the Final Dawn began establishing new bases and outposts across the former Confederacy to expand it's own influence and power projection capabilities across the gaalxy.

One of the places where the Final Dawn established themselves was Seswenna, where they quickly took control over the abandoned Seswenna Military Shipyards, restoring and modernizing the Shipyards to their needs and using the Shipyards as a major base of operations for their fleets operating across the former territories of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However this caught the attention of neighboring powers most notably, the Rimward Trade League and the Empire-backed Eriadu Authority. Both governments opposed the Final Dawn's presence at Seswenna, which was highlighted by a tense meeting with Rimward Trade League representatives and a disasterous summit at Eriadu. As a result, the Seswenna Military Shipyards was reinforced with additional warships and defense platforms, in order to discourage any future incursions from either the Rimward Trade League and the Eriadu Authority.

Now, the Seswenna Military Shipyards acts as a major base of operations for the Fleets of the Final Dawn, enabling the Neo-Imperial Military Junta to keep both the Eriadu Authority and the Rimward Trade League in check with the ability to strike at their worlds should they dare interfere with future Final Dawn operations in the region. Killing two birds with one stone.
