Remnants of the Infinite Empire (Republic Dominion of Rakata Prime)

Vulps

CEO of Verres Trading
Zarro sighed at @[member="Jack Sparrow"]'s reasoning but decided not to press the matter. Still, he spirits skyrocketed when he saw Vulpesen on top of a rancor with the rest of the strike team. "BOY!" Leaping forward, the Amaran easily cleared the rancor and landed next to his adopted son. Quickly sharing an embrace, the two locals of Amar enjoyed their reunion. "It's been far to long my child."

Vulpesen nearly fell off his rancor when his master tackled him, but it was a welcome surprise considering what it was that almost made him fall down. "Master, its good to see you, and yes it has been." Separating a moment later, Vulpesen cast a glance at his first master, and known father. "It seem's you've become a bit more than a respectable merchant."

Zarro nodded in response and took a more relaxed position on the Rancor's head, using his own powers on the force to quell its minor irritation at the extra ride. "And you are no longer the little padawan you were when you left Amar. Beside's, its good to see you enjoying the company of the Ashlan wolf I've given you." Their conversation went on after that, covering a chain of small adventures they had shared while the pair waited fo the rest of the party's actions.

Ayumi Pallopides

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
Ayumi was now on the ground and looking at what they had. While the jedi and other politician's were off she went about moving. Looking and searching for the remains of what the empire had brought got her off to the side while she touched a pistol on her hip. They were working to get improved arms and weapons and she was going to make sure they worked for it. Make sure they had plenty going on to keep the Republic strong before her hand sifted through the sand and she smirked. "Fun times."

It didn't take long for the others to converge around her, first being the Senator of Kashyyyk, Jack Sparrow. Offering his little cheeky remark, Rasu smiled, it had been long since she had been asked such an invitation. Maybe she would take him up on that offer, only because she needed the break and the Senator indeed looked like a very friendly man.

"No I believe I have never had the pleasure of visiting this place Senator. However if we get out of this in one piece, I will happily accept your offer." she said, keeping her eyes locked on the darkness in front of them. With her focus concentrating on the entrance, Rasu jumped slightly as a familiar voice sounded from behind her, bringing back long dormant emotions. Turning she rested her eyes upon the Jedi Knight, watching as he quickly hid his emotions, reforming his strong neutral features, not giving away anything. Things had not changed.

More and more beings began to arrive, forming a rather large group, all waiting anxiously before entering the temple. The Headmistress could hear the murmuring travelling around the group, fueling even her own fears, which were quickly expelled from her body. She could not let fear get the better of her, nor any of those under her care either. Walking over to Aika, she placed a comforting hand on the instructors shoulder. "I feel it too, but let's not let on. Better to keep the morale up eh?" she said, lowering her voice so that only her friend could make out the words she uttered.

"Well if we're are all ready, then let's go." she said, taking the first few steps into the building, the light already vanishing as she continued forwards. Extending her tendrils of consciousness, like Master E`ron had taught her, Rasu was able to see even with the absence of light. The Jedi's lightsabers would provide sufficient illumination, but better for her to conserve the power within her weapon, just in case anything still roamed the Temples, which wouldn't be a surprise. Continuing onwards, she continued extending her awareness, hands resting near her weapons, prepared for the traps that were inevitably nearly upon them.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Oh, the darkness. How she hated extremely dark places. Especially dark places on planets she didn't know well. Nothing about this smelled like something that would go easily. But did things ever go that way? Not for her, sadly...

Aika was mostly blank, lost in her own little world as she stared into the black of the temple's entrance. That is, until she felt a hand on her shoulder. The voice confirmed what she essentially already knew. It was Rasu, and her words rang true. Aika was one of the instructors. That meant she had to be brave, or at least put on a brave face. Showing that she was scared would only serve to cause others to feel the same worry. Still, it was nice to know that they both were feeling the same thing, from the Temple and from within.

Clasping her hands behind her back as she normally did, she moved into the Temple, letting a few others move ahead of her. After all, she didn't have a lightsaber. There was no way for her to see her hand in front of her face, let alone what was up ahead. Still, she simply couldn't shake the worried feeling from her body. There was something in the Temple. What? she couldn't tell. But one thing was sure; Someone, or something, was awaiting them within. For all their sakes, they needed to stay together. Which probably wasn't going to happen, knowing the others...

@Anyone on the beach

Iella smiled as her feet touched the sands on the beaches. The place is paradise with it white sands and palm trees, the sun beating down radiating off the sand warming her skin. She was here to investigate the area, to secure it so the researches can come and continue valuable work in safety. However she is also aware of the possible dangers, anything might pop up, all manner of things to threaten the tranquility.

She reached out through the force .. the landscape filling her mind's eye and her sense touching on all living life forms in the area. Nothing seemed out of place for the moment. The troopers with her she sent to scout the immediate area before they would spread out across the island paradise. She had warned them not to become complacent in this relative calm environment.

Vulpesen urged the Rancor on with senator Verres sitting beside him. "Well, it looks like he can fit!" Chuckling, the shadow moved into position behind head mistress, following the trail of the head mistress. As for senator @[member="Jack Sparrow"]'s remarks, Vulpesen was slightly less impressed than Zarro. "Oh, by the way, does anyone have any idea whats waiting for us in here?" @[member="Rasu Gan"] @Aika Kawakami @Antares Windu, @Vexander Graves @Kira Liadain @Nyos Val @Knight @Saki @Noah Corek @Talon Vosra @Darth Praelior @[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

@[member="Rasu Gan"] seemed to be leading the charge. She was quite good at it from what he could remember... Time is cruel to all beings. It has been a couple of months since he left to meditate and to straight his mind at the visions he had... but now, he was more focused and had a greater resolve to learn further about many things although he was now a Jedi Knight. Still... he felt that a lot of things changed in those two months... many things... perhaps other things didn't?

Without igniting his lightsaber at all, he proceeded to follow the steps of the ones in front of him, reaching out through the Force, he increased his perception and his senses; with the help of the lights from other lightsabers, he managed to see a lot of his surroundings while he moved silently and almost unnoticed thanks to his training in Force Concealment and his previous Covert Operation's skills gained as a sniper.

Vexander looked at the ones around him, a couple of them were known, but others were not; and it was expected, afterall; he was not the type of man that would be quite popular among many sentient beings... although his relantionships with those around him improved a lot since he joined the Order.

"I should have brought my other robes..." thought the man to himself, without knowing if others would feel or hear his thoughts... perhaps the ones that have been with him for some time would... but who knew? He usually shielded his thoughts, but perhaps someone was strong enough to break to his unconcious defense mechanism... regardless of that fact, he decided to remain silent for the time being.

Nyos rolled his shoulder rotors around to make certain they were oiled and ready for action. He wore his usual mask and body armor, leaving his mechanical arms and legs exposed, meaning he was fully protected. He unsheathed his large vibrosaber with one hand and held a bolter in his off-hand. Given that Nyos was on loan to the Republic on this mission, he would discard his rank in the OP for now and follow the orders of the Republic leader.

Edging closer to the treeline on the beach, Nyos scanned to others, and did notice a familiar face or two. @[member="Vulpesen"] and @[member="Saki"] were familiar to him. He moved to Vulpesen and nodded in a silent greeting to his comrade.

Kira Talith

Into the temple of DOOM they all went, each having a sense of forbearing of what was to come. A joke could be said that the Jedi should be safe; after all, true holo-flick horror rules stated that the virgin always survives!

Then again....

Maybe she was the only one. There came a small snicker. Okay, she couldn't help it. Blame it on her time in the Protectorate.

Her wry grin soon faded, however, as the group pressed on, the only sounds in the echoing space were their footfalls and the random squeal and scurrying of the odd dormouse.

For those who were not squeamish about bugs, the ambient light of the cerulean saber held high by Kira revealed the creeping crawlers darting across the walls at their sides, some finding shelter within the eye sockets of the carved out Rakatan reliefs.

Some unfortunately, were also found by the slight squish sound of a boot stepping on them.

Tasty.

Up ahead, the wind blew from hidden vents, giving a rather eerie keening sound reminiscent of a wail of a crying woman.

"I got a baaaaaaad feeling about this," she said, aloud, leading the expedition deeper.

Ayumi Pallopides

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
"And there we go." Ayumi had a grin on her face while she smirked. The datapad chiming as the doors slid, they had moved up the beach looking at what was coming. While the jedi moved on the temple she and a small team had moved to what the Galactic empire had brought and left pulling out of the planet to join the fringe. "Check your corners and be ready for anything." Ayumi brought her hand to her hip and pulled out a Woebringer pistol with a smirk on her face. Her eyes flicking back and forth. "Move forward."

Vexander couldn't ignore the blond Jedi's remark, everything pointed out that the place was nothing more than a huge bad omen. Perhaps it was wrong for the Jedi to be there, but the chances of finding old relics and forbidden knowledge for safe keeping from the wrong hands was something that the Council couldn't just overlook... and that Vex couldn't just ignore.

The man once again enhanced his senses, and placed his right hand close to one of his lightsabers just in case something came up. From the man's point of view, they were sitting ducks in the middle of an unknown place... Still, he didn't dispair for even a split second, however; he did feel a little bit uneasy at the fact that @[member="Rasu Gan"] was in the front. As usual, he had the rear to prevent ambushes and also to take the point in the back... but this time, as they went deeper, he felt that he had to be in the first line of defense...

Without ignoring his gut, he proceeded to speed up a little bit, always careful and ready at the things that would show up, feeling the flow of the Force in the whole area and expecting the words while hoping for the best... his stealthy steps eventually guide him to be next to @[member="Rasu Gan"] and the man who seemed to be a Senator based on Rasu's remark. Once there, he just kept a steady pace ready to bring his blade to life if needed.

The temple hummed for her now at the excitement in the air. Balaya could feel the jedi coming and she knew what needed to be done but was more then prepared to fight with a grin. She could take the time to prepare and was chanting to herself, letting the force energies dance around her body while she let out a breath and her muscles bulked under the armor. Her saber singing and chanting with her for the sith magics until she moved more around the large upper chamber to keep it ready to confront them when they got up top.

Syn was rushing now, he had come down to the planet to search and get what they could while he moved. A saber in his hand but that was only for the rancors while he moved kicking on in the face until it got up and stalked away from him. The creatures her were problematic and he was glad Elayne Hawk wasn't here right now. It would give him a chance to fight the rancors she did regard highly from Dathomir. For now though he kept moving searching for ruins if there were any off on a different island then the ones that Rasu was leading towards the temple of the ancients.

Deep within the bowels of the Temple, a large intricate obsidian sarcophagus stood upright, a long forgotten used torch and a satchel covered in a layer of dust next to it.

There seemed to be a mirrored quality to it, even a measure of life one would say. It pulsed, with a heartbeat, as the surface of the tall stone structure gave a ripple, akin to dark liquid water.

It stood within the depths of a large cavern, upon a pedestal that fell away to a dark steep seemingly bottomless pit. There was no bridge to reach it, although further investigation would reveal that the stalagmites on the ceiling would be part of a greater puzzle.

But there were many traps laid out before they will even reach the heart of the temple.

Although no Master had been assigned to him yet, the young Mandalorian named Silas Verd found himself out in the field. Today, the Jedi had ventured out from the Coruscanti Temple and journeyed to the distant world of Rakata Prime. Supposedly, this world was once affiliated with something called the Infinite Empire; which was an entity the child knew next to nothing about. Garbed in his youngling robes, the Mandalorian walked at the heels of the Headmistress of the Jedi Academy, @[member="Rasu Gan"]. Silence ruled him, as he was of the firm opinion that he should not speak unless spoken to. As such, he quietly walked along behind the Headmistress, training saber in hand; just in case anything spooky decided to jump out at the group from the ruins.

Upon making his return to the Jedi Order, Josiah Denko found himself immediately thrust upon the field of battle against the Fringe Confederation. Although the Battle of O'reen did not go in the favor of the Republic, it did afford the Jedi an opportunity to fight alongside his brethren for the first time since Anaxes. Now, Josiah found himself on Rakata Prime, accompanying a group of Jedi who had decided to venture inside of an ancient Temple. Having had to fight off literal monsters the last time he went ruins diving, Josiah had his guard up the entirety of the time; which led to his silence the whole time. With his arms folded across his chest, the Jedi kept pace with those in front of him; and kept a watchful eye on that which was ahead and behind, just in case.

Well there it was, another entrance to one of the many inner chambers of the Temple. You had to admit, it had a certain boogeyman charm to it.

Now they only had to cross the bridge. Kira gave a frown, studying the stonework ahead of them. It gave the impression that it was sturdy... but Kira wasn't so sure.

"Huh," she said, seeing the cobble stone and various hieroglyphics on the pavement before her. That's when she took a step forward, placing pressure on one of the stones with a rune like glyph on it.

BAAAAAAAAD MISTAKE!

All of a sudden, part of the bridge fell, dangerously close to Kira and two Jedi next to her.

"Gah!" she gave a cry out, managing to dart back to avoid a plummeting death.

"Well.." she began a bit breathless, "Found the first trap!"

"Cover the sides" Ayumi moved and hugged the wall as she moved down the hallway of the outpost. They had been working harder to push past the automated defenses so they could make it to the computer center. She ejected the plug and fire pack before sliding in another one and moving across the hall that brought her into another room. She looked around for a moment and smirked taking a stormtroopers helmet and smashing it until she had the lens. The reflective surface letting her get a look down the hallway while she spoke. "Ten second outdown, then throw sonic grenades."

Sumalee stood next to @[member="Ayumi Pallopides"], her saber in hand as the tall Togruta fell in line with the republic forces. She had always been prone to being in the front lines, for the gladiator blood within her sung a warriors song.

A flick from her wrist, and her blade sung in glory of life, the citrine blade humming as it came down to defend Ayumi from the automated defenses. Bolts were deflected with her saber, before she darted forward to attack.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Saki moved behind Kira and was looking around. A trap wasn't a great place to deal with but right now she was looking at it all. Plenty of time to do as needed and they had plenty of time. No need to rush until she heard the trap get sprung and moved back while she pushed some of the jed with them to avoid the collapsing floor while she looked to Kira. "Can we try not to set off all the traps please?"
