Oysters Will Help Your Hyperdrive - [Silver Jedi Dominion of Mon Calamari]

Location: Above water
Objective: Help out

He looked at the kid who asked if he was Master Harrison and had a look on his face, that was his fault really he went the same route as his father and tried to not be involved so it got him this. A kid who didn't know who he was.... though he was debating if that was a bad thing given how his family had turned out... Whelp no time to debate that as he spoke. "No I am not Master Harrison, I am just here cause you looked like you could use some help. Now come on kid lets get him on something floating and work to make sure he survives. Should have another organic lung somewhere so he can keep breathing if he goes under."

Location: Pirate Ship
Objective: Take Bridge

There were the sounds of shlick shlick from the wires as around the room small reflective threads held with people below them and the dripping sounds of blood from where it had wrapped around their arms. Ikki was in the vent system and and lowered the slicewire with her hands as she dropped down after and stood there. She had told the captain she would get on the bridge and they needed to have air filtered... meant she could fit into the small space while the young atrisian looked on at them. Some missing hands and where one ran into the wire a chunk of his body was missing. She retracted the wires with a sign and was checking the computers while she looked at the pirate fleet and other things. She opened the bridge and wiped her hands while setting course on the ship to smash into another ship with enough time to get back to her fighter.

Aboard the Will of the Force

Getting anxious

Pacing the floor near the holodisplay, Coci watched the Silver Fleet engaging. The Will of the Force showing it fire power with ease and like Thurion it impressed her but equally it make her stomach churn as lives extinguished in a blaze of lazers, ships ripped apart pieces of metal floating off in all directions in zero gravity and the sparks and fire from what remained slowly blinked out in the black of the sky. Ships, she hated them, for this reason and many more, but this lack of control of ones own destiny?

Coci stopped pacing and looked to Thurion, her hand raising up as she ran it through her long black hair and look in a deep breath. She had seen the many pirate fighters which out numbered their cruisers naturally but they are taking out the Silver squadrons one by one. She hate standing around doing nothing while Silvers are out there fighting the battle, yes they are co-ordinating the battle but still she would prefer to be out there with them.

Which meant only one thing, she would have to fly.

An odd thing this fear of flying considering her Corellian, but because of this Coci is in fact an excellent pilot because of this fear. But she had made up her mind, the only obstacle was the Grand Master. Her eyes found him and looked at his handsome face, etched in concern as his eyes darted over the holodisplay, issuing orders to the crew and standing straight backed with an air of command in his body. That feeling filled her once more, that warmth he never fails to effect on her and with her decision made she walked over to Thurion and grabbed him, take him into a passionate kiss there on the bridge, she care nothing for who might be watching as this might be the last kiss she can give him.

"I am going out there to join the fight, Thurion I can't remain here and let other fight. It just is not me to do it". she pulled back looking into his face. Her gaze softened for a moment "Remember .. I love you, now and beyond this life". She let go of him and left the bridge for the hangar.

The crew busy with ships preparing them to leave, some returned with signs of lazer burns along the sides others incapacitated and in need of repair before they can re-engage. Coci grabbed a flight suit and helmet and quickly put it on, before walking to the nearest ship engines warming and prepared to flight. She jumped into the seat of an Aurek Strike Interceptor, the canopy came down and sealed.

As she secured the helmet strap. "I'm an idiot", her voice coming clear as a bell through the communication on the bridge of the Will. "Master Heavenshield?", the voice replied from the bridge. "Never mind, do I have clearance?". "Yes Master, you are clear to depart".

Coci could feel the sweat forming on her brow already. She took in a deep breath and pushed the ship forward, exiting the hangar in a roar of the engines.

Opening up communications to [member="Kei Amadis"], "Kei, entering combat, heading to engage the pirate fleet engaging the Will, got any spares?". She asked for back up. I hate this, damn flying metal coffins. Fingers racing over the control panel, Coci put shields up until engagement.

Gods it was hard enough for the Ranger to concentrate and keep situational awareness with the constant comm chatter going on in the ear bud she wore, but with the added little "voice" in her head as another distraction… Well it was enough to make Kait want to pull her hair out. Didn't [member="Judah Lesan Jr."] know she was in the middle of engaging the enemy at the moment keeping them off his six while he played nice with a Sith?!

"Kinda busy here… Be there as soon as I can," the brunette thought back loudly with determination, hoping her message was actually being received by JJ. She had no way of knowing if it had.

Kaitlyn fired off another round at the pirates as a squad of Mon Cal Rangers came to back their position up just in time, then she quickly ducked into the cave the same way her Jedi partner had.

Did he say poison, and explosives? That personal thought made the young Ranger move faster inside the cave, putting aside her fear of closed in places.

Elpsis was lying there on the ground, then suddenly Abaigeal appeared and fell upon the corsairs like a fury in an explosion of beautiful, violence-filled awesomeness. Within a few moments the corridor had been filled with corpses and the scent of death permeated the air as the Black Orchid slaughtered the scum with brutal efficiency. Someone else might have been a bit...disturbed, but not Elpsis. As a matter of fact she could not help but find the efficient lethality of Aba to be...quite beautiful. Yes, Elpsis' Aba fangirling was probably about to reach stratospheric levels.

"And you look really hot...sis," she spoke, laughing when she surveyed the carnage that both of them had caused. Dead pirates, blood-splattered walls and a partially broken ceiling. Ah, now she was in a good mood again. "Thanks for coming. I can stand, just give me a moment. Got something to take care of," she said. then looked down upon the nasty wound that had been blown into her thigh, blood dripping out. She tore off a piece of the sleeve of her vest and stuffed it into her mouth.

The reason for this would become evident all too soon when abruptly a ball of fire manifested inside the palm of her hand. Slowly her flaming hand moved over her gaping wound. She bit down hard on the piece of cloth to keep herself from crying out in pain when she felt the heat of the fire, the hiss of flesh and blood sizzling against it, pain surging through her body as she used her power to cauterise the wound. She shook and trembled while the flame burnt across her bleeding skin. Beads of sweat dripped down her face and back while she did so. After she was sure the bleeding had stopped she dissipated the fireball, using an improvised bandage in form of a cloth piece to cover her wound. Eyes closed for a moment as she harnessed the Force, narrowing her focus as much as possible, then then the piece of shrapnel embedded into her shoulder was abruptly torn out and landed on the floor.

The cloth dropped out of her mouth and she shook, panting very heavily. "I'm better now," she said, looking for something to bandage her shoulder wound with. However, respite was a bit far off when, as klaxxons howled, pirates came their way. These fellows had been inside the hangar and now evidently wanted to make up for their earlier ineptitude. What with having let in the girl who had just slaughtered all their buddies. That sort of thing did not look good, especially if your boss was a Sith. If his name was any indication, presumably he liked to cut people up.

"We got the bitches, kill them!" One pirate levelled his repeater at Elpsis and was about to let loose a hail of blaster rounds, his companions following suit...then suddenly blazing heat surged through their weapons and they began to melt. "What the...," the temperature of the guns was red-hot, forcing the corsairs to drop them as they felt like they were boiling.

A knife lying around on the floor was suddenly gripped by her and she let it sail through the air at truly absurd speed. A pirate ended up with the dagger embedded in his forehead and did not even have the time to cry out as he fell to the ground with a thud like a puppet whose strings had been pulled.

In a flash the knife had exited and swept through the air to stab another villain through the back. However, a third pirate, who was made of sterner stuff, had the presence of mind to dodge quickly and block the knife with his vibrosword. The clang of metal was heard as the knife dropped to the ground and then he was upon her. Elpsis trieds to roll under his blow, so rather than her head it met her forearm, drawing blood as the blade sliced through it. A hard boot was moving towards her chest and forced her down, then suddenly the pirate began feeling...very hot inside. To be more precise, it would feel like his blood had started to boil, a very painful experience go through.

Fear filled his wretched soul as he would feel like he was being barbequed from the inside out. Her eyes burnt brightly and he screamed loudly as the intensity of his boiling blood increased. His face was red and contorted in agony. "It's roastin' time," Elpsis declared rather overdramatically and ripped the sword out of his grasp. He cried out in agony when she stabbed down...and brutally thrust the blade right into his groin before bashing his nose with the hilt of the weapon. He fell to the ground and spent a couple more moments in agony as she boiled his blood.

Ugh... why did a woman always insist on keeping a man waiting? JJ was in a hurry to solve the problems, and she was busy doing her own thing... typical. It was the second time they had worked together and already they seemed to have the propensity to argue like an old married couple if given the chance. Not that JJ noticed that to be the case, he was just annoyed.

"Women!?"

He rolled his eyes as he huffed the statement under his breath and moved out of the room. He had to find the Sith who likely had the detonator for the explosives. From what JJ could tell they were set for remote detonation. There was no time to waste. Running into the next chamber just beyond the landing of the cave, Judah spotted the Sith. She was not what JJ had been expected. The crimson blade was waiting for him, and JJ said nothing. His own green blade was ignited as he faced off with the alien woman. He knew now the fight had to stay on dry land otherwise he would be severely disadvantaged. Kaitlyn truly was his ace up the sleeve in this sense, and he hoped she was in position.

"So you have a problem with women?"

"Oh... you heard that... I was just musing how women always tend to keep a man waiting..."

"Silly boy, it's because we're worth the wait, or are you just too impatient to get down to business."

"Neither, I have all the time in the world considering we're both in this cave, and I'm between you and your barrels... though I'm guessing you don't need to get past me to drain all that poison into the water.

"It would be preferable to detonate the charges once in the water, but I don't have to... you want the detonator though... and I want some sport. Come and get it if you can."

JJ pressed forward, but like most Jedi, he wouldn't attack outright. If she wanted her sport, she'd have to engage him fully. Sabers clashed as she made good on the attack. By the time Kaitlyn would rise from the waters, she'd hear the sounds of lighsabers crashing together as the battle between the Jedi and the Sith had begun.

Aboard the Will of the Force
Thurion knew exactly what Coci was about to tell him. She would meet no resistance from him, especially when she grabbed and kissed him. They were married with children and even shared she same surname. Secret's out, if it ever was one to begin with. "I know," he told her. "Now and beyond this life." Watching her walk off the bridge with confident strides, he returned to the task of overseeing the battle. It only took him a few more minutes to eventually throw up his arms and go "Screw this". He turned to one of the officers and pointed. "You're in charge. See ya!" With that, the Grandmaster left the stage to join his wife down in the hangar.

By the time that he got there, however, he just barely caught glimpse of her boosting off into space to join the battle. The Oathkeeper stood off to the side, ready for use. "Teetoo, you there, buddy?" A series of beeps and boops came in response. "Yeah, I know - we're going after her. Get'er up and running, boy." About time they put ol' faithful through its paces. As quickly as the ramp lowered in time for him to enter his ship it was raised again. Lights flickered to life and engines were primed and ready.

It felt good to be back in his own chair. The other one was far too comfortable. "You are clear to depart, Grandmaster. May the Force be with you." Engines roared and they were off. "May the Force be with us all." He turned to his co-pilot. "Divert all non-critical power to weapons and shields, Teetoo. Something tells me we're gonna need it."

Location: Aboard the Beacon
Mission: Pull back with the support fleet, engage with the main fleet.

The forward firing arc of the battlecruisers was by far its strongest, while it was a relatively modest size, however it had advanced shielding. Sadly the mentor classes large height made it a good target while it was forward facing at its opponents, as it couldn’t minimize the hits it took on a vectored approach and get the benefit of its forward arc, or keep itself angled all that much, it had to go headlong into its targets showing its largest face.

Kei knew this and had doubled up the battlecruisers in pairs to not only maximize their alpha strike potential, but to limit their exposure along the sides of the ships. Sadly the slow speed made the rear of the ship vulnerable to the pirate’s starfighters, which were racking up some nice hits as they’d realised this weakness to. That is the remaining pirates, as some had just had enough, and were running as fast as they could, there was no credits in dying after all!

“Order the fighter squadrons to protect the rear of the battleships, give them flanking and rear escorts to their targets, and bring them up on the main cruiser.” As they did this, they started to puncture large holes in the biggest of the pirates ships, and this added to the rout that was going on.

While aboard his own ship, the smoke finally stopped aboard the beacon. Thank the force, at least now he could see. “Give me a damage report on all decks Kortec.” The beacon was out of danger now as the pirates had other things to worry about, apart from the odd stray missile or fire that headed its way, it was pulling back. The old girl looked the worse for wear though, with metal hanging down from the roof.

“How many casualties Colonel”

“300 dead, 1600 wounded.” Kortec said the grim news, Kei nodded, there would need to be a memorial service later, but he had to put that out of his mind for now.

"Oh this old thing?", she gestured to her clothes all rearranged for the effect of distraction. But her face soon turned to concern as Elpsis is clearly wounded and bleeding, she winched as she 'healed' herself but to great effect and she slowly stood, Abaigeal aiding her the best she could. No time for reprieve it seemed, as fire bolts whistled toward them. "They will never learn".

While Elpsis dealt with the pirates attacking her, Abaigeal had her own few but they had more to worry about now as the corridor continually filled the mixed gases. "Stop your fire or you will kill all of us!, the gas you idiots .. it will explode". Her saber doing the best to deflect the bolts in a direction away from the gas.

Only a moment did the pirates heed her warning, looking at one another for some sort of authority and none came. Abaigeal could sense their thoughts, "You want to take the risk?", she added. But that was as far in the conversation or firing they got. Unknown to all of them, one of the pirate battle cruisers came alongside the Crossbones, both ship maneuvering toward the Will, but the Silver Jedi opened fire from the Will of the Force and the ship next to the Crossbones, exploded. The Crossbones had shields up but the captain had taken evasive action and banked hard left to avoid the shock and flying metal from the destroyed battle cruiser. This sent pirates and the girls flying to the side.

Boom. In space there is no sound, though it is often depicted as such. In the hailstorm of fire unleashed by the Will of the Force a pirate battle cruiser perished in a fiery death. Hundreds upon hundreds of lives were extinguished in a brilliant flash of light, excluding those fortunate enough to reach the escape pods or evac shuttles in time. The Crossbornes lurched strongly to the left as its shields shimmered to absorb the detonation. The entire battleship shook and, much to her annoyance, Elpsis was suddenly tossed through the air and sent flying to the side.

Fortunately for her she managed to brace her legs and push herself off the wall rather than hitting it since that would have probably been painful. Rather she hit the floor with a hard roll. It still sort of hurt and she lay there for a moment or two before getting to her feet with a groan. So much for getting bandaged up, now she would have to do it all over again once they had gotten away! On the bright side the pirates had been flung around as well, which gave the girls a bit of breathing space since the scum had to rally themselves as well.

"Oh, no, you don't," one pirate was trying to reach his gun but Elpsis bolted towards him and slammed him into the wall, but then when she tried to do so again he managed to spin around and headbutt her. Ouch. She tumbled and he ran towards his blaster pistol, apparently heedless of the warning Aba had given him earlier because it seemed his skull was terribly thick, hence why he used it as a club!

Elpsis landed on the unconscious body of one of his comrades and was stunned for a moment. As the redhead's vision stopped being hazy and she came to, she suddenly found her fingers coming across a small, cylindrical object attached to the belt of the pirate she was lying on. Her opponent gripped his blaster and quickly turned, finger on the trigger, but in the same moment when he fired a crimson blade ignited in a blaze of light and the batted away the blaster bolt, reflecting it back to him. A cry was heard when it struck him in the knee, then Elpsis put him out of his misery by running him through. "That's better. Thanks for keepin' this warm for me," Elpsis spoke to the still unconscious corsair who had apparently tried to claim her lightsabre for himself. She glanced over to Aba to see how she was doing. The few remaining corsairs in the corridor seemed to be running away. "You ok?"

So the newcomer wasn't Master Harrison.

That was a shame, because they could probably use a master something right about now. Was there such a thing as Master Healer? Zak really wasn't sure. He avoided anything doctor-y like the plague. No doctors. No healers. No medics.

And no shots, either!

The man mentioned that he had an organic gill with him, which made the nine year amphibian give the human an odd look. Zak had no idea what humans did to help themselves breathe underwater. He supposed having something like that would be handy, but it wouldn't have occurred to him to think about it... in part because Zak rarely stopped to think about anything, and in part because he had gills.

If everybody had gills, the galaxy would be a better place.

And beach planets. There would be more beach planets.

"Do... Do you have a commlink?" the child inquired, still holding onto the injured Silver Jedi to help keep the man afloat. To borrow a phrase, SOMEBODY CALL 9-1-1!

Dac ~ Mon Calamari
Orotoru G'am.

About half an hour later saw the pair arrive at the city of Orotoru G'am. What they found there told them that things were not all that great. Damp hair would cling in the half ponytail Kira wore, adjusting her clothing over herself as she gave a slight frown. Micah had already quickly switched over to his shorts and shirt, looking a bit more laid back than how he had when they first had arrived.

Once they were both dressed, they would hop off the boat and started to walk up the port. There was a tension in the air, along with the low murmurs of concern and worry.

Finally, Kira would come up to one of the Mon Cal civilians, asking, "What is going on?"

The dark red and coral striped head would swivel over at her direction, wide gold beady eyes looking at her.

"Pirates!" he would warble at her, pointing up to the sky to where the planetary shield would provide them a measure of protection -- that is if it hadn't been breached elsewhere.

Kira would follow the gesture, then gave a subtle grimace.

"Oh no." she'd say with a weary note.

"Oh yeaah!" came the pipe in from Micah at her side. It was clear that he was rather excited by the notion of pirates than his mother was.

Figures.

The fire power coming from the Will was extraordinary, the red and blue flashes lit up the surrounding area as it whizzed passed Coci's fighter. She just had time to look up to see one of the pirate battle cruisers explode into shards of metal, fire and black smoke which seemed to hang in space. There is no air in space, no wind or movement, and so the smoke pushed out as the atmospheric pressure of the ship spilled into the atmosphere, once that pressure was released the smoke stay in place, it looked horrible and smaller explosions pitted the remaining larger parts of what was once a ship. It made Coci sick to the stomach.

There are only two of the battle cruisers remaining now, one of which is the Crossbones, which lurched away from the dangers of the debris. She hoped the two girls on board would get out and soon, her had heard the received that had come through for Thurion, but did not know the girl. So far the Silver Fleet was holding it own and making good head way into the pirate fleet, Coci was about to join them but before she did she checked the scanner and noticed all position of the fleet. But what grabbed her attention was a ship standing off the combat zone, Cutter's ship, just stationed watching. Hmmmmmm

But a new ship had entered the screen, coming from the Will and it is a ship she knows very well. The Oathkeeper. Coci hailed her beloved Thurion.

"Well, hello there", she said in her most coquettish voice. "Are you following me?". She grinned. "You fancy paying our respects to our host of this party?". Cut off the head the body withers.

"I like our odds". Corellian to the core.

The arrival of the Will of The Force clearly turned the tide of the battle, there was no other way of describing it and the ship itself… it was glory. Huge, hulking and packing a punch it would shred through anything Cutter could ever hope to send against it, and in the end that was what saved the day once again.

Can’t really blame the Sith though, he probably hadn’t been expecting a reception quite like this one in the grand scheme of things. A message was sent to the Silver Jedi, a thanks and a promise of aid that would be send for the help provided.

And so it was that the Mon Calamari Hypernautics could continue their operations in the Mon Calamari System without being slaughtered and enslaved by some rebel Sith scrum.

Capitalism had won the day once again and the power of freedom (and commerce) had prevailed.

Not that Darell Irani had ever expected any differently, obviously. One such as him always had a plan in mind, always a plot.

Probably.

Suddenly loosing her footing, as the ship lurched violently to the side, Abaigeal's body flew toward the wall. She had no time to react and her back faced the approaching wall. All she knew was she could not breath as the air ripped from her lung, the pain down her back pierced her brain and she blacked out. Abaigeal's body fell to the floor in a heap of sprawling arms and legs. There was comfort in the darkness, no one to look at her with questioning eyes, to judge or look on her as freak, they are not there to compare her to her mother. The darkness is a nice place.

But the comfort did not last long, she began to hear the sound of her own breathing, laboured and painful as air fought to re-enter and give living back to her. More noise, voices some male and Elpsis! Slowly Abaigeal recalled the situation .. the pirates the gas the blaster bolts and their danger. Her eye opened just in time to see the pirates fleeing. She pulled herself up in pain, her face grimaced with the effort as she managed to make it to all fours and she stopped to gather more breath, her head lolling downward to accept the pain. Finally Abaigeal lifted her head and looked down the corridor where the pirates had fled and she laughed .. "Ahrr that hurts".

Using the wall for support she pulled herself to her feet and leaned back against it. "I think I may have broken a rib". At least her lungs believed so, and she held her rib cage with her folded arms. "You want to get out of here? or shall we take this bloody ship".

She had a feeling she already knew the answer, and so walked slowly over to the dead pirates Abaigeal bent to gather all the weapons they had left behind after their lives had departed their bodies. It hurt it really did, but the pain began to subside as her lungs began to fill to capacity.

Meanwhile, updated news would relay that things were looking better for Dac. There will be no pirate fighting for Micah today. Not that Kira would want there to be. She was the sort to ensure evacuations and defensive positions were secured. She wasn't the one for offense like Soliael.

However, the trip and the circumstance would be used for Micah's training. Dac had some of the most powerful shields in the verse. Kira was going to teach her son more about them through the Force.

Field Detection was a Force technique that allowed the user to perceive energy fields clearly within the general area. The takes would say that a skilled Luka Sene could detect the presence and general direction of energy fields, or the field's direction of origin if the generator was too far away to perceive. Likewise, Field Detection allowed a user to detect communications devices, sensors, or other electronic equipment. When shield generators came under fire, a trained user could detect minute fluctuations in the shields and find temporary weak points.

Kira was going to teach the basics of this to her son, using the famous Mon Cal shields as his focus. Once they found a quieter area to rest until the space battle ended, they began.

First Micah would have to center himself. From there, the boy more apt to skill in sense powers would be asked by his mother to explore what he felt around him.

"We'll take it," Elpsis declared and like Aba she quickly went about collecting ammunition and weapons from the corpses of the pirates who had just perished. Much like Aba she was in a lot of pain, though her pride dictated that she try to do her best not to show it, which met with mixed success at best. Her face grimaced and she had to stop to gather her breaths, but the pain subsided for a bit when her lungs were finally filled with air. Yep. She had definitely broken a couple ribs and she was walking with a bit of a limp. "Come on," she spoke, glancing over to Aba. There was an expression of concern on her features since she could see her friend had taken a beating. Lightsabre in hand she walked down the corridor and took a turn...and then found herself facing a Chiss pirate.

In a flash the sharp end of her glowstick was being pointed at the Chiss' neck, just milimetres away from stabbing and severing her head from her shoulders. Gasping for breath the corsair did not even try to resist but raised her hands in surrender. Her two comrades, two burly ruffians, did the same.

Maybe all the corpses littering the corridor ahead of them had made an impression. Along with the phallic looking glowstick and the fireball that had manifested in Elpsis' free hand. "Take us to the bridge. We are assuming direct control over this ship. This will hurt you if you resist. Our techniques have torn your buddies apart," Elpsis declared with an air of exaggerated drama and plagiarism. Faced with such an onslaught of corny, plagiaristic, one-liners the corsairs could not resist and quickly led our heroines down the corridor to the ship's bridge.

Before even Kaitlyn broke the surface of the water inside the cave, she could hear the familiar sound of lightsabers making contact with one another as it echoed throughout the chamber. This meant that [member="Judah Lesan Jr."] was engaging with the Sith. She would have to work fast then.

Pulling herself out of the water onto the landing, the brunette ranger slipped off her breathing mask, then moved quickly to where the barrels of poison that were stashed in the first chamber on the wall nearest the water as JJ was fighting the darksider in the next one over. The way the barrels were rigged, they most likely were to be moved from concealment there to another location to be detonated by remote. Kaitlyn studied the wiring and how the explosive device would work., making sure there weren't any countermeasures to deal with first. Whom ever put this ED together wasn't an expert, just wanted to get the job done and from afar.

A wire cutter was taken out of the pouch on Kaityn's utility belt, then she carefully placed the small metal open blades around the wire of choice. The Ranger took a deep breath, then let it out slowly as she squeezed the handles together…

It wasn't easy. Nothing ever is. But the boy was more apt with the aspect of Sense than Control or Alter. With his mother guiding him, she would instruct him to reach out with his mind with the Force. To feel that web that would blanket everything.

Got it? Good.

Focus a little bit outward now, beyond the lives you see around you. Rise above that, as if you are floating. Yes. Like that. Good.

His mother's voice would encourage him, but he was already starting to feel beads of sweat gathering at his temples.

The Planetary shield of Dac is a big target. One can't miss it. It is why this was a perfect opportunity to reach out and feel it through the Force. While Kai was more apt to discern electronics, something this general and this large was within reach for the boy.

So he would focus on that energy field he felt resonating in his mind, there high above the ether. It was huge, enormous really. For a moment everything was just covered in white noise. But after a moment, he began to filter it out.

Such a large energy field was not to be missed, and the boy was able to register it. It would be years before he would be able to determine the subtle nuances of weakpoints, but for now, he would know the basics on how to search for such fields.

JJ put his full attention on the battle with the Sith. She clearly was just the apprentice as her power was not much greater than JJ's, also, her skill with a lightsaber was lacking. This was why Judah had managed to stay in the battle as long as he had. Suddenly he became aware that Kait was cutting the wires from the explosives. Three were cut so far and another two to go. The female combatant also became aware of this and pressed to get past JJ t stop Kaitlyn's efforts. This limited Judah's options as far as his offense went, and because of it, he fell victim to a force attack from the Sith. He was fine, but had been force to give up the space he held. JJ was being pushed back.

By the time the two reached the second cavern explosive remained. JJ tried to keep the Sith away from Kait as much as he could. The battle was happening around her now, with JJ being between her and the female Sith. Lightsabers continued to clash and spark as the battle raged on. That's when the Sith reached out and started to choke the life out of Kaitlyn with the force.

"One more step, and I'll finish her with a flick of my wrist. Her neck will snap in two, and you'll have her death on your hands."

JJ froze, he looked to Kait for some kind of reassurance. He knew the Sith would kill her anyway, so Judah had to move fast. He watched as the detonator was pulled, ready to be pressed. All he could hope was that Kaitlyn actually got all the EDs deactivated. Soaking in the force, Judah made his move. In on fluid motion the hand holding the detonator was severed from its wrist, and Sith found a green blade protruding from her heart. She was dead.
