She was no Sith Lord, nor did she belong to the fledgling Knights of Ren, but Braith had been sent to the planet of Barkhesh to be one of the few 'bigger pieces' on the game of galactic chess that would see to tipping the scales in the favor of the First Order. [member="Darth Carnifex"], the nephew of her significant other, would be attending to the Southern Plains of the planet with a large strike force whilst A'sharad and the witch would be assailing the Northern plains. The idea was to break the world on two fronts, a larger force converging on the Sourthern front while a smaller force was sent to the Northern plains. The Alua'an wasn't too certain if the First Order was aware of what she was capable of, beyond whatever Braxus and Carnifex might have notified them of, but she'd gone along with A'sharad with the expectation of being the heavy hitter of the two - she wasn't all too familiar with the Sith lord, either, but her experience with Sith led her to believe they were generally more interested in single combat or more subversive elements rather than a direct assault.

She'd had the option of riding along with the Mustafar invading force, and it had been an ideal option for the witch - she had intimate knowledge of the planet, having her alchemy workshop based out of the planet - but it was all too easy of an option, and one that offered the least amount of difficulty for her. She'd told Braxus that she lived in the 'now', that every moment was to be lived as if it were her last, but she'd been quite literal when she explained why fighting on the front lines and war in general interested her - it made her feel more alive than any passive role in government could ever make someone with as small of a lifespan as hers could. And a war with the Alliance, a group that considered itself to be the pinnacle of freedom and righteousness, was certainly one way to test her mettle.

Like Graush, Braith rode as a passenger in a separate, nondescript, starfighter. She had made the decision to lag slightly behind, however, and allow the Sith to arrive prior to her, both to allow her to prepare herself mentally for battle as well as to not draw attention to the two of their small starships while the news of an invasion force arriving most certainly spread. Needless to say, though she was already dressed in her armor and holding both of her weapons in both hands, it would take a short while longer for her to arrive than it would for A'sharad Graush.

The Lord of Mustafar would not surrender his planet without a fight. His duty was to the people he served, both the Alliance and those of Mustafar itself. If the Sith believed that they could simply attack the world and he would roll over to their superior numbers, then they were sadly mistaken. Ultimatum had been working long in preparing soldiers and ships as a planetary defense. The droid had contemplated building more permanent defenses on the planet, but there had been much that had drawn his attention from construction. He promised himself that if he came out of this and the planet remained within the Alliance then there would be a definite increase of planetary defenses. His mind was already drawing plans for the potential weapons. His focus was on defense, but then a powerful defense could easily become an offense, the fighters roaming the skies were proof of that.

The artificial being had brought a selection of his the finest V-1s and Hybrids with him in defense of the obvious Sith target. Acting as surveillance and combat support, Overseers flew over the field of battle, their small size and camouflage colors making them difficult targets. Ultimatum had contemplated having his compatriots here as well to help in the battle, but had decided against it. Instead he had sent them aboard the Sovereignty to the other side of the planet where the ship remained in stealth, prepared to leave the system should Ultimatum send the command. He did not wish his friends to be injured or killed because of his choices. Should he lose this fight, then there would be much more work ahead than the droid would have preferred, but such was the way of the galaxy.

As the various forces of HK began firing on the incoming dropships and enemies Ultimatum spoke through his computer systems to the droid minds within his own forces. "Fighters now! Rest, hold fire until closer." With the order sent, the incoming dropships would find themselves harassed by a squadrons of the advanced Awe Fighters. The droid's ground forces remained quiet, allowing the larger weapons of the HK's forces to deal most of the casualties. They would have their chance, the Sith would not give up this easily. They were prepared to lay down their lives for their home and for their leader.

With Micah and Vexen

So here’s the thing, Allyson despite everything that Kaili had wanted, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check things out ahead of time for the Galactic Alliance. She had done undercover work for Ember among other things. It wasn’t her fault she had that face that just blended in. So here she was, in the middle of this Rutan Hunting Festival, slinging slabs of meat and pouring pitchers of mead. Of course, there was nothing in the briefing that she’d be wearing the shortest of all short skirts, a blouse that made her well aware of her ‘blessings’, knee high stockings and heeled shoes. It was a good thing her blaster was small enough to tuck every so tactfully under her skirt - hidden mostly from most of the patrons. Sprinkle a bit of plot magic and her gun was essentially hidden to the best of her ability for this tale.

Moving around the volunteers and the other reptilian folk, Allyson poured a few more pitchers of mead and handed them around. When she returned to the chaotic kitchen and center of it all, she was shoved a try of meat. “Pass out.” The creature that was cooking everything up quickly gave her the order and out she went again. Looking at the other food maids or whatever they were called, she noticed she was one of the few dressed in such a fashion, although, she wasn’t sure how the lizard folk looked in a skirt just long enough to cover one’s bottom.

The platter was slowly passed along, until she made eye contact with a very familiar face. Pressing her lips together she made a bee trail towards the man known as [member="Micah Talith"] and his best friend [member="Vexen"]. Seeing both of their plates now empty she smiled her brightest smile through her painted red lips.

“Well well, look what we have here! Two hungry hunters ~” Allyson quickly piled on the meat onto both of their plates, but specifically continued to empty the entire platter onto Micah’s. Once it was empty she smiled and winked at him while he tried to plead with her to not give him any more. The platter she carried found its way onto the table in front of the pair of hunters. Allyson leaned on the table and towards Micah, “Thought you had a man’s appetite?”

Her grin never faded.

[member="Kaili Talith"] was really missing out on this outfit.

Ever since joining the Galactic Alliance, Maria had been wandering around different Jedi outposts around the faction's territory and even outside of it. She was no fighter, but more of a healer and a philanthropist, so her work lied not in the battlefield but behind the scenes of the faction, as well as amongst the civilians.

Maria had not stood idle, though, because a Jedi had to train, become better, advance. Having been a witch before redeeming herself, she was not afraid to experiment and find new ways to use the Force. Auras and other spells were her forte. While she may have not been the best Force user there was, she did think she was at least of some use.

It was a rather usual day in the Rutan outpost. The woman had enjoyed her usual morning coffee in the café and then moved on to the typical work of training Padawans, planning the humanitarian aid and talking to the locals to hear what they needed and thought. It was a routine, but she didn't mind. Because after all, that was the place where she could feel safe and not have to worry about inevitably being caught by the Dark Side again.

However, it was not a normal day. The Jedi Knight could feel something in the air, but she couldn't just put her finger on it. The anxiety it brought along made her feel a little bit insecure.

Gliding on the thermals that rose from the lava and hot ground Vitha thoroughly enjoyed the heat. While it was extremely hot especially as she passed over the streams it allowed for easy flying. The force was strong here to though it was clearly of the dark side. Having only recently started to understand much less access the access the force without a lot of concentration she had initially been somewhat staggered by the strength of the dark side in this place. Far more used to the academy on Voss where light side currents flowed easily and seemed to pass through nearly everything like a soft stream the raging currents here made for so much power she'd instinctively retreated slightly from it like she would a strong gust of wind. It wasn't that she was afraid, indeed it was practically impossible to frighten an Avogwi since they were apex predators on Altor 14, but rather only her basic training didn't provide much help when faced with such power which only seemed to be getting stronger.

However all of this she'd been distracted from, something had slammed into ground near the tower and she'd adjusted course to investigate. Not expecting to see a large metal object she started slowly descending. Vision making out practically ever detail of the object from over fifty feet up she spotted movement. Strange spider like droids started emerging and making their way towards the castle.

Turning course she beat down with her large wings and started making her way towards the main entrance. Seeing it she went into a steep dive and rapidly gained speed. Folding her wings so only a half was extended with the rest folded back she quickly gained speed and kept her ability to adjust her course which she used to aim for doorway. A large armoured figure had just dragged in someone.

Coming down swiftly she shifted her weight backwards while simultaneously extending her wings to form a giant air brake. Legs extended her talons scratched on the stone and she hopped inside the entrance. Nodding at the large armoured figure she quickly said "There are droids that seemed to have just landed. An object slammed into the ground and these things started crawling out."

Connor Harrison had been here a dozen times before.

Stood in the doorway of a transport after being deployed in low orbit to arrive on a planet to liberate. Jedi stood beside him as allies, Sith and their forces out in the wild beyond as his enemies. Clad in armour or protective clothing, lightsaber by his side and the Force as his spiritual guide, the Jedi Master has invaded planets and systems many times before.

Except the tide of war had turned, and Connor’s eyes - corrupt with Dark Side power - were well and truly open to the truth.

Standing in the doorway of the transport that had been deployed in low orbit to arrive at the perimeter of the imposing former castle of Sith Lord Darth Vader, the Knights of Ren and First Order troops stood beside him as allies. The Galactic Alliance and their Jedi out in the wild beyond were his enemies. Clad in his dark armour of the Ren and wearing his crimson cloak, lightsaber by his side and the Force as a weapon, the Disciple of Ren had never invaded planets or systems as something he once swore to destroy.

He was fuelled by the strength of his brothers and sisters, their first call to battle together as Disciples, Knights and Masters. A combined fighting force that was to take back a world that belonged to the Dark Side; housing history far beyond their years on a world that burned with fire.

The Galactic Alliance and their allies would burn today.

Connor felt the transport come to a stop, convoy of them had landed together. They were to make their way to the castle across the dangerous terrain surrounding them, take it and repel the Jedi forces.

Glancing around his transport, many faces were covered with masks and apparatus. He held his helmet in his gloved hands and looked down at it; imposing, faceless and effective. Connor Harrison was part of the Knights of Ren. He lowered his head and slipped on the helmet for the first time in war, activated the HUD and wide scope of sight.

He was now one of them. It was time to fight for the glory of the First Order and the glory of the Ren. He had to prove himself once and for all.

"Show no mercy,” he said aloud, his synthetic amplifier all but distorting his voice to that of a true Ren.

Kaalia sat on one of the seats available on the FIV Commination, grinning wickedly as she twirled the hilt of Mirari around. The saber was a relic of her past, of her Jedi days that she now looked back on with nothing but anger. The Light had chained her down and planted weakness within her, but now she was free. She had embraced the darkness, and in return it had embraced her. The redhead was a different person now, and that didn't go unnoticed. The people around her felt it and she saw that, but it was also noticed by the one most of the Ren would call their 'father', Sieger Ren, although to her he was no more than an employer, not that it mattered today. No longer was she a Disciple, but a Knight. However, this surge in darkness within her was noticed not only within the Order of Ren. Even the Sith Lord who went by the name of Krest had sought her out and proposed her with a nigh irresistable offer. The two had met on a joint mission on Kro Var where their objective was to capture a Master Shaper, and the woman assumed she had caught his attention that day. How things had changed since Kaeshana. She was weak, hesitant and blinded by the Light. Now she was blinded no longer, and today she would have her revenge on the Jedi that sought to enslave her. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy.

Samka Derith, who had been appointed to command the operation, marched out to the collection of Ren who were patiently, or not so patiently in Kaalia's case, waiting. As she listened to her speak she felt the passion of the people around her flare up, rallied on by the purple-haired Knight. The words were to strengthen the sense of the good of the group over individualism, and the redhead could feel that it was working. She softly nodded out of respect for her charisma, but she wasn't going to get lost in it. As much as the wills of the Ren and her aligned, she was primarily doing this for herself. There was a deepseated lust to spill Jedi blood, and Kaalia would see to sating it. She hated them, all of them. Their lies of peace and serenity had shackled her down for too long. She would honor Mustafar as 'the place where Jedi go to die'.

Kaalia unclipped the mask that was on her hip, looking at it intently. She never did like wearing it, but in missions where staying anonymous was of the essence she would concede that it was necessary. Today however would not be one of those days. The redhead wanted to see the ones she would kill eye to eye before ending their lives, fear the last thing they would feel. The mask was stored away, keeping it safe on the ship. It would not come to face the environment of Mustafar.

The ship arrived at the planet, and the redhead's anticipation flared to life. This would be the ultimate showcase of her power, and she would let nobody get in her way. This wasn't for the 'Supreme Leader', this was for her. The fact her actions would please him meant nothing to her. Her passion swirled around her, and she grasped it tightly. The darkness flowed through her as she mulled over the objective that was given to the group. They were tasked with taking control of Darth Vader's castle, and so that was where they were headed. Kaalia could only imagine the artefacts they could find there and the things she could learn from them. The wicked grin returned. The Light would not prevail.

Tensions had been high. The drill frequency had increased tenfold as the First Order’s war machine ramped up into full gear and even so, Major Amsel of the First Imperial Shock Troopers affectionately referred to as Fortan’s Fist, wasn’t so sure some of the troops were ready. Though still a Major, he’d been given liberties that any other officer of the same rank might not be privy to, namely command of an entire legion. It wasn’t just any legion either, but the permanent garrison aboard the FIV Concordia, the Grand Moff’s flagship - a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer.

Given little time to reflect, the Major did a final once over of his gear. The FO-02 Series armor had been issued to the Legion some weeks ago, perhaps that had been a part of their increased drilling. It had been a welcome upgrade to the FO-01, more features and an increased survivability rating also meant more complex training - but the concepts remained the same. Protect the soldier, prolong the fight - and it was a fight they were itching for. The FIV Concordia and her complement of troopers along with support vessels screamed through hyperspace towards their objective. Mustafar. Rolf, as any good commander would, had done research on not only their objective but the planet itself. A literal hotbed of geological activity and the heavily polluted atmosphere would prove to be a danger in and of itself, and that was all before they had to contend with any forces the Galactic Alliance had seen fit to bestow upon the surface and while scans from First Order space had provided next to no intel due to the planet’s instability, human intelligence suggested a relatively low presence. Whether that was due to proper intelligence or dumb luck, or if it even was true remained to be seen.

Already the Legion had geared up, fully loaded aboard their shuttles. The objective was to give the forces around the planet as little time to respond as necessary, a blitz deployment. Unlike their normal modus operandi, the FIST had been augmented by stormtroopers belonging to other units as well as a small complement of clone troopers - one of the newest additions to the First Order’s Auxiliary Corps, commonly referred to as simply ‘The Auxiliary’. It was a special task force assembled for the express purpose of the strike into Galactic Alliance held territory. Time would tell if it was effective.

With the troopers lined up, strapped in, and geared down - they had little to wait before the roar of engines filled the hangar of the FIV Concordia, shuttles and fighters alike coming to life as they screamed outwards, the initial contact had been harrowing for the troops aboard the Grand Moff's flagship, the sound of fire reverberating through the ship as its weapons fired - all they could do was wait. Thankfully the waiting had come to an end and the Major along with many others of the FIST and Auxiliary found themselves hurtling towards the fiery orange glow of Mustafar. Inside the shuttles the soldiers could hear the frantic cry of the engines as the pilots pushed the vessels to their limits, a muted explosions battering and knocking the craft about as they descended like a rain, no - a torrent - upon the blackened skies below.

Their target was the Mensix Mining Facility, a facility built into the surface of the planet. Platforms and control arms spanned over lakes of fire and sharp spires loomed above - to one side were the landing platforms, though here would no doubt be mining shuttles if anything at all. As the vessels broke the surface a red light flicked on inside the cabin, all the troopers receiving a HUD notification with their ETA. Soon they would descend upon the mining facility. They had taken losses but a good measure of the shuttles had escaped the fate of their brethren en route - their deaths would be avenged.

Objective: Mensix Mining Facility

Establishing a foothold near the Capital city of Fralideja and an important industrial facility such as the Mensix Mining Facility is of the utmost importance to the First Order. The First Order’s goal is to acquire the facility intact and with minor damages considering such an acquisition would be extremely beneficial to their war machine. As such, infantry forces and a limited number of gunships will be deployed in an attempt to secure the facility.

Notes: Loadout coming upon touchdown. Still en route to Mining Facility.

"You wanted an engagement, Ma'am?"

"Yes, that is what I asked for."

"Well here's one."

She looked out the side window, seeing nothing but molten rock.

"I don't see any sort of figh-.."

Just then, the makeshift anti-air weapons blaster fire scraped past the side of the ship and an alert siren began to play; its own blaster cannons beginning to fire back in response. It lost its course for a second before re-adjusting.

"If I di-.."

Again, more rounds scraped past as she saw hundreds of troopers barreling towards the surface. "Finally.." she whispered to herself as the fire was drawn from her transport. Without a word, it began to descend to the surface, around the landing area of the clones. As the landing ramp opened and she exited she turned to one of the troopers behind her.

"Fix whatever damage they did, I don't want my research exploding before I get an opportunity to analyze it." He salutes and then proceeds to retrieve a maintenance kit from gunship, starting to attempt to repair the damage.

"And Sergeant, would you attempt to get a shield dome or some sort of equipment down to entrench this location. I sense they're going to start firing on us once they discover our purpose here."

One of them would nod, entering the ramp once more. Meanwhile, Heidi takes out a communicator and contacts [member="Commander Lusk"].

"Commander, I'm setting up a field hospital..... just south of your landing zone. If you have any non-combatant medical units I'd be happy to have them with me and brief them on the current situation."

As she said this, she looked off in the distance to the mining facility, multiple droids firing at the incoming clones. A worried expression grew across her face, fearing for the worst. Several shells started heading their way, one exploding to the right of her along with several shrieks from the men accompanying her. The trooper who had been relaying a Starship in orbit returned.

"Unfortunately, no such equipment is available but I have been informed that several more shuttles of medical supplies and droids will be sent down within 30 minutes time. I suspect though, they'll be intercepted by enemy fleets entering the sector. For now, we have an overwhelming advantage but I wouldn't be surprised if that change-.." another shell came barreling towards the position, which now had several tents set up. Rock pieces flew up in the air, hitting the metallic gunship which was essentially being used as makeshift cover for the time being.

One breath.

It stood between him and salvation.

One breath.

It stood between him and destruction.

One breath.

It stood between him and the pain he craved.

His legs were crossed, burning eyes extinguished as he meditated on the Force and the war ahead. Within the depths of his hands lay a mask, golden, scratched, mirrored to show his opponents their own fear and pain. It had been with him from Coruscant to Manaan to Kashyyyk and beyond. Thousands of battles fought, some major, some minor, all of them for the glory of Him. The Dark Lord was gone now, buried and burned to ashes, his spirit scattered just as much.

"But we still stand." Carach whispered to himself as those eyes opened themselves. This in response to them reversing from hyperspace and the inertial dampeners readjusting themselves. Deep within him the Sith Lord could feel the coiling of power. Nausea and hunger battled against each other as he once again reaffirmed control over the self and the now.

Not today. The voices whispered and Carach nodded, before settling the mask at its rightful place.

He breathed in. The armor wrapped itself tighter around his limbs.

He breathed out. The hitch in his throat scrapped and sighed.

In. Within him the churning edged out and the storm calmed, making way for purpose and conviction.

Out.....

And then Carach rose from his meditation.

In one of the lower chambers, closer to the lava outside the castle, Taryc was sitting and meditating. She had been training with [member="elpsis elaris"] since joining Firemane and had been increasing her connection to the flames within her. Now, on Mustafar, she felt at peace despite the coming battle. She let the heat soak through her, pass through her like the force itself.

An Alliance marine came in and coughed a couple of times to get her attention.

"Inquisitor, they are here." He said, then left the room to prepare with the other defenders of the background.

Taryc stood sluidly, and sheathed her sword. Then she donned her helmet and ascended to the main floor, where the entrance was, and where most of her allies had congregated. She came over and stood beside Taeli.

"Master Raaf." Taryc said as she drew even with her, hand on her bolter. "I still think we should just let them in and then slag the place..." She said with wry humor in her voice. "...but, I'm not against just bathing it in blood of wannabe sithlings."

Objective: Find out what's going on
They'd all been called to a meeting in a rather sudden fashion. Having only recently returned from Elom, and dealing with the events that happened there, he was more than a little bit tired. He hadn't quite mastered the art of meditation just yet. That said, he still managed to drag himself in and find himself standing next to one [member="Kahne Porte"] and a bunch of others. He was certain he hadn't yet had the opportunity to meet the man, but that was alright. Introductions could happen later, after all. He hadn't been a part of a lot of the little meetings and goings on of the Order as a result of being off and busy with his other job, but now that he was around more, he was sure to meet more of the others.

Clearly something was up, though. Bethany wouldn't have called a meeting of all of them unless there was a serious problem on their hands. Thus, either the Sith were attacking more worlds, or the First Order was on the warpath. There was the possibility of the Imperial Remnant causing trouble, but they were far less likely to slaughter people for no reason. They were, after all, the Remnant, and not a true heir to the Empire of old. Still, he knew where he stood in all of this, and he'd see it through as was his duty. Not a medic, not a healer. He was a soldier, but his job here was only to protect the OSL and the wounded.

He nodded his head to [member="Bethany Kismet"] to signal that he was ready to go wherever was they needed to go. Just another day in service to the people of the galaxy for him.

Objective: None for now.

A lone man sat within the base.

Robes curled around his large posture and serenity radiating from within him outwards. It was clear-cut stoicism in the face of anxiety and fear roiling around him. Now, more than ever, a steady hand needed to guide those who were in need of it. Years ago Sardun would have taken that role with no doubt in his mind... now? Now the older Jedi Master was wary and cautious on taking too much onto himself.

But these people needed assistance.

As the pager bleeped against his belt a certain sense of calm moved through the crowds of people. They kept rushing, one direction or the other, with either equipment or orders, but as the sense reached them... their hearts steadied. Their resolve was enforced and their spirit raised.

It spread from there and would continue to do so - after all, sentients were social creatures and one laugh spread faster than a word could.

"I am here." The somber steady tone echoed into his comms, before Sardun nodded. It was as he had expected. They were being attacked and that had caused the initial turmoil. His thoughts went briefly to [member="Bethany Kismet"], too far away to make out more than a faint direction... somewhere angled to his left and core.

After a moment of thought Sardun relayed that he would meet Aeron at the hangar specified.

It would be faster that way and they would not have to wait too long on each other. The large Jedi rose carefully from his seat, while weaving his way through the thick crowds without leaving disturbance in his wake.

You wouldn't have thought an old Y-wing could slide so easily between the high bluffs that restricted inbound traffic, but Jorus had learned a long time ago that in close confines, nimble little snubfighters would get you killed. The faster your ship and the better its maneuverability, the more likely you'd be to twitch or overreact with lethal consequences. No, for close-in work, what you wanted often turned out to be a Y-wing.

Granted, the ship had its liabilities. This was a replica version made in the last half century during Koensayr's brief resurgence, so it wasn't close to a millennium old like the original, but it kept the original's flaws.

Like, for example, space for a tail gunner.

Laira Vereen came highly recommended by friends of friends, and more importantly she'd been available when the Wretched Hive got the call. The Hive was no combat ship, but its hangars tended to contain old or partial ships, and it hadn't taken much to get this Y-wing good to go. That said, a conduit worm had crawled up through certain systems and died, and Shenna'vala and Dingo Darr had only managed to remove 99% of its body mass, so the cockpit freaking stank. Laira had noticed.

Oh, how she'd noticed. Just like she'd noticed that Jorus Merrill's new body was roughly her age and possessed of basic personal hygiene. Apparently that was all she needed.

Well, to business. Jorus tapped the comm and linked with the command staff of [member="Aeron Kreelan"], the Omega Pyre prex. They'd never been close, but they'd fought in the occasional engagement together back in the days of the Protectorate. "Prex Kreelan, this is Jorus Merrill. I'm on air cover and recon in a Y-wing fighter-bomber with telesponder 'Riot Shield'. [member="Alyce Hawke"] is also in the air with a snubfighter. Prex, I'm seeing reentry contrails. I'm betting we're about to see dropships and TIEs in this area. Does your base have the sensor guts to give us any more detail?"

Siobhan Kerrigan was not here. Elpsis Elaris and that was almost as good. At least in Incendia's somewhat biased mind! Regardless, she had found her way to the magma world and had been meditating in one of the lower chambers, deliberately close to the lava rivers outside.

To her, the blazing heat of the binary furnace was not oppressive. Rather, she thrived in it. Heat surged through her body like wild fire as she chanted quietly. Despite the coming danger and the bloodshed that would no doubt ensue, she felt serene. Words leapt from her tongue as she prayed fervently.

"Great White Wolf, blessed mother and guardian, whose voice I hear in the winds, and who gave me the breath of life, hear me.
You, whose fur warms me and whose teeth protect me from evil.
You, from whose loving care I receive nourishment and who endows me with the great gift.
You, who raised me from great distress and made me see the divine feminine.
For I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me see the beauty of your creation and never think myself above it.
Make my hands respect the thing you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Help me seek pure thought and act with the intention of helping others.
Help me find compassion without empathy overwhelmning me.
Make my wise so that I may understand the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
Make me strong, not to be greater than my sisters, but to fight the evil wrought by the Black Wolf.
So when life fades, as the fading, my spirit may traverse the void and find peace in your eternal forest without shame."

She arose from the stone ground, blowing out the candles she'd lit. Candles for friends she'd lost on Kaeshana. They were now in heaven. They would have retribution. She retrieved her beskar helmet and placed it on her head, letting her features vanish, just as the rest of her body was encased by a shell of Mandalorian iron.

Milky-white, vacant eyes fell upon the lava risers outside. Maybe she was missing something, but it struck the firemane as terribly perverse that Vader's Castle had been set up on the planet where he got maimed. Perhaps it had something to do with 'channelling his pain to stoke the fires of his hatred' but it still seemed bizarre to her. Regardless, it was a heathen monument to evil.

Regardlss, she stepped out of her meditation room and made her way to the upper levels and ended up in the place where Taryc and Taeli Raaf, along with others had congregated. "What she said," she added wryly after Taryc made her suggestion. Her tone was inappropriately perky. "Either way, I'm ready to burn Sithlings. Remember Kaeshana. Let's make this their hell."

Aboard the FIV Commination, where the Knights of Ren had gathered Mishel stood as a face among the crowd to hear what @Samka Derith had to say. She stood in the quiet of it all she knew their task and knew it well. Closing her eyes she focused on the pain she had endured to get here from the moment of her 'rebirth,' to the survival on Dxun, the lessons with Kyrel and the pain of losing her hand to the Ssi-Ruuk on G'Rho. The flaming lance that pierced every nerve when Seiger showed his disappointment with her. Clenching her fist Mishel knew that today she would not fail her father. The castle, the artefacts it would all be theirs of this she was sure all the while she wondered what she could hope to achieve today. The Disciple would hope to capture the castle and aid her brothers and sisters. Mishel had read about Mustafar and its significance from brother [member="Kyrel Ren"]'s journals she knew it as the place where the Jedi came to die. She knew of it as where Darth Vader had been reborn.

Quietly she looked down at the armour of Ren that she wore, it laid hidden beneath her black and red robes. The robes of a disciple as she looked on at her newly knighted sisters of [member="Ara Ren"], [member="Kaalia Voldaren"] and [member="Zmej Ren"]. Mustafar, would be their moment and no longer would they be stories that people told to their children to scare them into behaving correctly. No longer were they to be mythology, the Knights of Ren were real and the Jedi would heel, death before failure, death before dishonour. As the vessel started its landing procedures, Mishel's anticipation grew Mustafar was not only key to the Knights of Ren and their First Order. It was also a place where Mishel knew that she could thrive, heat would be everywhere and at every turn looking down at her hand she let the flames wiggle about her fingers.

Clenching her fingers into a fist she need not look out the window to see where they were, she could hear the unnatural sounds of Mustafar. Mishel put a hand to her lightsaber and checked her gauntlets, afterwards. The disciple had found these in the armoury, knuckle plated gauntlets would be a nasty surprise for those who got close enough. Adjusting her armour young disciple prepared herself for the impending battle. She turned to hear [member="Connor Harrison"] say what they were all already thinking, show no mercy. Kill them where they stand, kill them all and all around her she could see the bloodlust that made its way to each and every one of them. Mishel's vat-grown programming would take over soon enough, Seiger's will would be done on this day.

Rogue Eight, Alyce Hawke, had a pair of other Rogues in the airspace around her flying X-Wings in stealth mode. They were monitoring the Alliance channels while patrolling the skies. Word from the Fleet was that First Order ships had been spotted throughout the sector, and so Alyce found herself on high alert on Barkhesh. As Jorus spoke to Alliance HQ, she kept her silence, maintaining her stealth as she and her mini flight aimed for the contrails in a long looping path. Their first order of business was to locate and surveil, then they would call in some hammers and get the party started.

The volcanic word of Mustafar was even more restless that day than it usually was. Something lingered in the air, some thin piece of thread holding everything together. The atmosphere around was nauseous, every little breath of air Liliane breathed in making her feel more and more out of herself. Everything was full of darkness -- everything that the woman touched made her feel only darker and darker and more insecure. But despite all of that, she could feel some comforting familiarity in all of that.

Many other Jedi could feel the same way. There was a disturbance; everybody knew who was behind it. Everybody knew Kaeshana had only been the prologue to the story, Mustafar being merely the first chapter of the novel.

It was odd, the Jedi Marshal had to admit, to stand in the Vader's Castle in full Jedi Silencer armour, a dark side pendant around her neck. She would have wanted to vomit. Her own inner corruption, the dark side amulet, and the disturbance in the Force combined, she could only feel her stomach twirling and mind wandering restlessly.

Yet at the same time, she could feel something different as well. She couldn't say what it was, she couldn't say what might have caused it, but she was rather sure it was the only thing that managed to hold her back from getting a mental breakdown.

And that thought made her chuckled. Her two lightsabers around her waist, attached to the utility belt, she waited. Because there was not much else to do other than wait. They didn't know where the First Order might have been coming from, they didn't know it they had any strategies. But at least they were ready.

Liliane could only sit on the bench, her fingers twiddling around the amulet while trying her best to mask the Dark Side aura it gave off.

No doubt the others as well as he could feel the power contained within their craft. The Knights of Ren were on the move, their purpose evident as their vessel streaked towards the ancient bastion, Vader's obsidian castle. Though they were confined in the comfortable atmosphere of the shuttle, soon they would bear witness to the incredible heat and thick acrid atmosphere of the planet itself - Mustafar. A type II atmosphere according to the records though to look upon it now through the narrow viewport confirmed it. Thick clouds of acrid smoke prevented good visibility, the multitude of active volcanoes and slowly advancing magma flows a strange sight to the Knight of Ren who spent the majority of his time in the jungles of Virgilia. That was something he would have to change.

A simple statement caught his attention from where he stood, halfway between the cockpit and the troop bay.

:: ETA to Drop Point One - Two Mikes. ::
They would arrive soon to their first stop of two. The geological activity made scanners difficult to utilize, that much was evident from the constant chatter between the pilot and his second. It also masked their signature, which made transport relatively easy comparative to how Castor imagined the assault on Barkhesh would play out. Castor gently wrapped his fingers around the hilt of the weapon at his hip - Krigsgaldr. The blade had been the first of his newly minted weapons, yet to taste the blood of an enemy. Unlike a saber, it had limited capability beyond that of being a blade though to count it as useless was far from wise. It may not have been the most versatile of weapons however it would excel at what it had been designed for - biting into flesh and piercing into armor. The Ren breathed in, watching apprehensively through the viewscreen of the cockpit as they traversed over the terrain.

This would be the first time that Joza would enter a battle under a neutral banner. Already it didn’t feel right—she’d been in the thick of it on Atrisia and Kaeshana—but her focus had slowly split into multiple planes. The Alliance had plenty of energy to spend against the First Order in combat, but the Zeltron found that she disliked leaving messes uncleaned. Regardless of who won Mustafar and the surrounding words, the Alliance and the Order would take some heavy hits. But they knew the cost. Unfortunately, hundreds upon thousands of civilian lives factored into that and the loss of innocent life was something she’d try to curb this time around.

Fralideja was her destination, the capital of Mustafar. There was a mining facility somewhere not too far off, and that was cause enough to be wary. Resources were often targeted in war, and the fighting could spill over into the populous city. She’d already pinged [member="HK-36"] who taken to heading the defenses of the mining camp with the intent of keeping updated on the situation there. While she respected [member="Bethany Kismet"] and all that she did, the Zeltron would have difficulty staying impartial given her own grievances against the First Order and what they’d done to some of her captured men on Kaeshana.

“In the cargo bay.” She tilted her head in the proper direction when a healer had approached about where to store the crates of relief supplies. The Heka Healers were a unit of Zeltrons, mostly women, trained to provide medical aid in areas of conflict. They were used to aggressive and dangerous situations, but Mustafar would be the largest hot zone they’d seen. They were skilled in using pheromones to help calm their charges, and would hopefully make potential evacuations easier.

Approaching [member="Hazel Zanteres"], she looked the other woman over for a brief moment. “Everything alright on your end?” Her voice was not unkind, but not exactly friendly either. The Zeltron was girded for war as usual, but that meant more subtle practicality rather than intimidation. Her armor was sleek and allowed for freedom of movement, but it didn’t detract from the sabers at her waist or the guns in their holsters. While she wouldn’t be charging off into the frontlines, she’d hardly hesitate to raise a weapon if it meant guarding the city from hostiles of either side.
