STRENGTHS
  • Skin Shield: In spite of its skintight construction, the Nullsong Veil offers nigh-unparalleled resistance to energy weapons and lightsabers, while maintaining a high resistance to directed heat attacks. Phrik-terentatek hide composite armorweave, ostrine mineral treatment, mono-molecularly bonded gammaplast, the miniaturized “skintight” shield array, and other systems all work together to lend Qyssiyana excellent protection against these common battlefield threats.
  • Wallflower: Featuring an integrated Taozin skin nodule for concealment from Force detection, a stealth camouflage coating, a Blue Witch system, and various other stealth technologies, the Nullsong Veil offers Qyssiyana an unparalleled degree of stealth, allowing her to hide within plain sight and engage targets with virtually no risk of being picked up on sensors.
  • Synapse Boost: Achieved via ultralight energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the suit, the Nullsong Veil gives Qyssiyana a moderate (twofold) strength enhancement, mainly functioning to lower the energy costs for physical exertions (running, climbing, lifting, etc.). In addition, the Ghost Link allows her to control virtually all of the suit's functions and attached subsystems via mental command. The Ghost Link provides further mental enhancement via the suit itself, enhancing her user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power from the onboard computers. Thus, the suit enhances the user both physically and mentally.
  • Metaphysical Shield: Terentatek hide integration gives the Nullsong Veil a good resistance to direct applications of the Force. The material makes up the bodysuit’s primary construction and is threaded throughout its systems, shielding both wearer and subsystems from metaphysical interference. In addition, a dedicated Force Shield in the collar provides protection against mental attacks and intrusion.
WEAKNESSES
  • Acerbic Affliction: Unfortunately, acid weapons are very effective at eating through the bodysuit’s protective material to harm the wearer directly, potentially inflicting a host of dangerous effects.
  • Tensor: While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the bodysuit’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause severe injury.
  • Shield Projector Fragility: The Nullsong Veil is a high-tech bodysuit that depends in large part on its electronics for its defensive prowess. Thus, should its electronics be overloaded, disabled, or impaired, the suit’s ability to protect Qyssiyana will suffer in turn. In such a case, the miniaturized intrinsic shield array might suffer malfunction. Since this system is a linchpin to the armor’s resistance against disruptors (the protective material by itself is unable to adequately defend against this weapon type as solid materials can not be proofed against disruptors), these weapons will likely pose an especially mortal threat to the wearer in the event of system failure.
  • Surface Damage: While the bodysuit’s equipped Dream Sight has an extremely advanced surface-integrated passive reception array, any direct damage to the surface may diminish the effectiveness of the system due to the destruction of a number of passive micro-sensors. This can result in blind spots in the passive reception array.
  • Deep Freeze: While the suit is rated to protect the wearer from all environments (including arctic planets the likes of Hoth and Ilum), it unfortunately does not grade well in terms of defense against cold-based weaponry. That is to say that the biting, freezing power of cryogenic weapon systems is far more penetrating than that presented by cold environments. Thus, Qyssiyana must rely on other means of protection should she come to face these weapons.
  • Circumvented: The Terentatek hide provides excellent protection against direct applications of the Force, including (but not strictly limited to) mechu-deru, direct telekinetic influences, and mental attacks. However, indirect applications of the Force (i.e. using the Force to generate bursts of pressurized air, throw rocks, generate elemental effects, etc.) may still be effective against it (depending on the nature of the effect in question).
DESCRIPTION
With her position established in the Dark Court, Qyssyyana was afforded with the means to outfit herself to better fulfill her duties. The Nullsong Veil is a product of this investment. Engineered for stealth, the suit includes a dedicated cloaking suite, with accompanying thermoguard, mirror, and Blue Witch systems that render both suit and wearer effectively invisible to scanners and sensors. The taozin nodule serves in a similar capacity, albeit directed towards concealing both suit and wearer from Force detection.

Covering defense, the Nullsong Veil includes Echani-style “skintight” shielding that is woven directly into its construction. This, along with the phrik-terentatek hide composite armorweave and the shear thickening fluid underlay, confers stunning resistance to lightsabers, energy weapons, directed heat attacks, kinetic attacks, and yet more. The suit is also highly resistant to direct Force attacks owing to the terentatek hide incorporated into its construction. Of particular note, even though the suit does not include a helmet, the energized neck piece has a reactive defensive shield which can intercept attacks to the wearer’s head and neck

In all, as an advanced, exclusive combat bodysuit, the Nullsong Veil is very much the bleeding edge haute couture that First United Astral Engineering specializes in. For Qyssiyana it is a symbol of the nature of the exquisite chains that bind her in service to Darth Virelia and the Dark Court: love, belonging, discipline, beauty, and perfection.
