No More Sith Empire? How? Why? What?

For the benefit of the new players and those of us who haven't had time to go through all of the threads, can someone explain what happened to the Sith Empire, why it's gone, and what's happening to the planets it controlled? I'm betting people can find some very interesting roleplay ideas amidst the wreckage.

Basically the Sith Empire has been disbanded and destoryed. The remaining Sith have scattered to the winds and have made smaller and less powerful factions to rule over until, hopefully, they can make a grand return to the universe. In the meantime the planets they once ruled are now spoils of war to the victors. Basically the nearby factions, Republic, Mandolorians and CIS, are claiming what they can to expand.

They ultimately surrendered and the Empire disbanded, with its members fleeing into the shadows. Now, there's a land grab going on that rivals those of the "Manifest Destiny" era of American History. Basically, there are three factions competing to control where the Empire formerly was.

Now, as far as the Sith goes, there's about...four options for a new player.

• One Sith: Underground Sith organization.
• Lords of the Fringe: The Republic + Dark Siders
• Make your own Order
• Find a neutral-ish Order that'll take you.

Sith Empire collapsed because the Emperor at the time chose to give the Republic, Mandalorians, and Fel Imperium essentially all the territory OOC via mass invasion. The faction members didn't want to see this, and as a result, Empire was disbanded.

Feel free to take a piece of the corpse.
