- High Weapon Count: The Hund boasts many weapons between the weapons pods and the ones mounted to the fighter, making it a threat to enemy starfighters.
- Sensor and Countermeasure Suite: The Hund carries an advanced sensor and countermeasure suite, making sure that this fighter is well-equipped to identify and deal with threats.
- Weapon/Engine Pods: Unlike the Hund, the Jagdhund does not have detachable weapon pods, as these have been largened along with the fuselage to house two additional ion engines. Their loadouts can be swapped, but it has to be done before a mission and not during.
- Superior Maneuverability and Speed: Since the pods house additional ion engines, the speed and mobility of the vessel are astounding for its class.
- Pocket Aces: (Haha poker reference) The Jagdhund is reserved for only the highest class of pilots from the Navy, the Inquisitorious, and the Crusaders. Meaning that it is rarely seen, but still a force to be reckoned with when it does appear.
- EMP/Ion Blasts: The Hund has many advanced systems that are a boon to its pilot, but after too many blasts from EMP/Ion weaponry it will reduce effectiveness if not knocking out certain systems.
- Weapon/Engine Pods: Like the Hund, the Jagdhund has a limited ammo capacity for certain weapon pods. Meaning that once they run out, it's only the weapons mounted in the wing roots that are available to the pilot.
- SLAM MK. II: When the pilot engages the SLAM MK. II it disables all weapons systems until the jump is complete.
The Naval Corp of Engineering 101b Jagdhund Elite Superiority Fight is the sister ship of the regular Hund. It has upgraded weapon systems and nondetachable weapon/engine pods, which is the first major difference between the two.
Its traditional laser cannons have been swapped out for Masers, allowing for energy and kinetic attacks. It has an additional autocannon mounted in the nose for a total of three, at the cost of a slightly reduced ammunition pool. Additionally, the autocannons are no longer fire-linked, meaning ammunition can be used more sparingly; the autocannons now fire in a middle, left, and right order. Since the fuselage was extended, it allowed for two single missile capacity tubes to be mounted on the underside.
The pods mounted to the wings were also extended and enlarged, making room for the ion engine and expanding the missile capacity by only a couple of missiles. Additionally, seeing that we don't want our best pilots running out of ammunition in the middle of a battle, a third option for what is mounted in the pod has been created: switching out the autocannon for a medium maser cannon.
