STRENGTHS
  • Kinetic Impact Diffusion: Through the particle shield layer, the armorweave, and the bistate thermal gel underlayer, the MIVS-1 excels at neutralizing physical threats. The thermal gel actively hardens upon blunt-force impact to absorb heavy kinetic shock, while the armorweave deflects projectiles. This minimizes blunt-force trauma to the wearer’s bones and organs, ensuring survivability against slugthrowers, shrapnel, and heavy concussive blows.
  • Sonic Dampener: Heavy sonic attacks are efficiently mitigated by the ear pieces in the FAE/A-07 Neck Piece. The counterwave-nullifiers within the ear pieces actively cancel out destructive auditory frequencies, preventing disorientation or internal hemorrhaging. This ensures that the wearer can maintain her tactical awareness, spatial orientation, and physical stability when facing sonic blasters, sonic grenades, or high-decibel environment hazards.

  • Imperial Fury: The MIVS-1’s stunning resistance to both energy weapons and weaponized heat provides excellent survivability value. The solar ray shield dissipates plasma bolts, while the ostrine reinforcement acts as a massive heat sink against thermal beams and flamethrowers. Even if the Echani shield momentarily collapses, the armorweave's heat-absorption capacity prevents catastrophic thermal bleed-through, allowing the user to operate inside fiery infernos or heavy blaster firefights with surprising resilience given the bodysuit’s form-fitting aesthetic.
  • Mind and Body Enhancement: Achieved via energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the body glove, the MIVS-1 enhances the wearer’s raw strength roughly thricefold. The Ghost Link and the Prism Core synergize to allow the wearer to attain true woman-machine gestalt. The Prism Core's terahertz processing feeds the Link's neural interface, enabling microsecond reaction times and days-long operational endurance without brain strain. As a result, the wearer can perceive the battlefield as a seamless extension of her own body. With the proper mental conditioning, she is able to track thousands of targets, run predictive simulations, and multitask across weapons, sensors, and comms simultaneously. Where the organic mind provides instinct and creativity; the Core provides infinite processing and fortress-grade security. Together, these systems can turn the wearer into a hyper-lethal, hyper-aware, and hyper-fast combatant.
  • Witch Blood: The MIVS-1 provides exceptional defense against Force-wielders. The terentatek hide weave physically resists external telekinetic attacks. In addition, the integrated stabilizer mask actively regulates brainwaves with micro-bursts of electricity, forcibly breaking mental domination, fear-based intrusions, or Force-induced body control, making the wearer an nigh-unmanageable target for Jedi and Sith alike.
  • Low Profile: The MIVS-1 has a greatly-diminished observation profile owing to its camouflage and polymer coatings, while the D-baffling system renders it nearly dead silent. Both of these systems lower the overall signature of the bodysuit, but they do not offer true stealth capability or invisibility. Instead, they serve to make the suit and its wearer more difficult to distinguish from the surrounding environment and harder to detect.
  • Serpentine Grace: The MIVS-1's flexible underlay enhancement eliminates armor stiffness entirely, allowing full, unrestricted range of motion for acrobatics, contortion, and combat maneuvers. This passive augmentation maintains the suit's robust defensive characteristics while ensuring that the wearer can dodge, roll, and strike with fluid, serpentine precision, maximizing her speed and reflexes.
WEAKNESSES
  • Tensor: While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the bodysuit’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause severe injury.
  • Shield Projector Fragility: The MIVS-1 is a high-tech combat bodysuit that depends in large part on its electronics for its defensive prowess. Thus, should its electronics be overloaded, disabled, or impaired, the suit’s ability to protect the wearer will suffer in turn. In such a case, the Echani shield array might suffer malfunction. Since this system is a linchpin to the suit’s resistance against disruptors (the protective material by itself is unable to adequately defend against this weapon type as solid materials can not be proofed against disruptors), these weapons will likely pose an especially mortal threat to the wearer in the event of system failure.
  • Deep Freeze: While the MIVS-1 is rated to protect the wearer from all environments (including arctic planets the likes of Hoth and Ilum), it unfortunately does not grade well in terms of defense against cold-based weaponry. That is to say that the biting, freezing power of cryogenic weapon systems is far more penetrating than that presented by cold environments. Thus, the wearer must rely on other means of protection should she come to face these weapons.
  • Circumvented: The bodysuit’s terentatek hide construction and integration provides excellent protection against direct applications of the Force, including (but not strictly limited to) mechu-deru and direct telekinetic influences. However, indirect applications of the Force (i.e. using the Force to generate bursts of pressurized air, throw rocks, generate elemental effects, etc.) may still be effective, depending on the specific resistance that the suit has to the attack in question.
  • Energy Intensive: The simultaneous operation of the conformal Echani shield projector array, reactive polymer strength enhancer, sensors, and other systems demand an extreme-output power core. This power core, the Glimmerweave Q-Vacuum Entrainment Cell, is a critical engine; disabling it puts the suit on a budget and a timetable as the systems revert to capacitor power, which is limited. A total power failure or depletion will drastically reduce the bodysuit's capabilities to its (still formidable) passive layers.
  • Slow Self-Repair Cycle: Programmable matter repairs are gradual. Severe damage incurred in rapid succession cannot be immediately undone and may accumulate during prolonged engagements. It goes without saying that the programmable matter will not be able to effect repairs during most live confrontations.
  • Single Point of Failure: The energized neck piece concentrates critical sensors, shielding control, and life support functions. Severe damage to this component can compromise head and neck defense more quickly than a traditional helmet would.
DESCRIPTION
Made for the newly-raised Imperial Vipers, the MIVS-1 Imperial Viper Combat Suit is an ultra-advanced, skintight energized bodysuit. The suit was designed by First United Astral Engineering, who was awarded the contract after the successful adoption of the Imperial Gunnery Suit and the Imperial Combat Rider Suit by the Mahporeem Imperial Military.

The MIVS-1 Imperial Viper Combat Suit takes full advantage of First United Astral Engineering’s natively developed subsystems, including sensors, targeting assistance, life support, electronic warfare, power, and onboard computing. The suit’s primary construction is AlloyPlast-terentatek hide composite armorweave, combining the resilience of armorweave with the metaphysical shielding of terentatek hide and the versatility of AlloyPlast. Underlying this, the suit is reinforced with Ostrine to defend against weaponized heat, and self-softening thermal gel to mitigate kinetic force.

Of particular note, the Ghost Link and the Prism Core are synergized so that both systems multiply each other’s efficacy. As the Prism Core offloads much of the cognitive heavy lifting from the wearer’s organic brain, the user gets the benefits of hyper-awareness, hyper-reactivity, and yet more mental benefits with significantly less cognitive overload. A Prism-Core-linked user can process combat data in microseconds, allowing a skilled user to execute predictive battle simulations in her head before the enemy even pulls the trigger.

Other notable systems in the MIVS-1 are the FAE/U-07 Nano-Repulsorcam and the FAE/MDW-03 Resonant Disruption Projection System. The former system is a hybrid recon drone-extendable nanocam that allows the user to look around corners, peer into tiny spaces, and scout terrain. The FAE/MDW-03 is the company’s newest anti-missile system which destroys incoming via resonant frequency vibrations. It is mounted on the bodysuit in distributed nodes, lending omnidirectional coverage against missiles, grenades, shells, thrown explosives, and yet more kinetic threats.

Ultimately, with its distinct default white coloring (though other default colors may be set and the suit has adaptive camouflage) the MIVS-1 is anticipated to become a distinct symbol of the Imperial Vipers. The suit and its wearers are anticipated play a critical role in manifesting a new era of Imperialism in the Skyriver galaxy, guided by and in the service of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant!
