Nyree likes to wear the best clothes, and she always looks good. Always. The young girl loves dresses, skirts, and other flowing free form clothing. She dresses well and comfortably, but more importantly, she dresses for function. As a merchant, people expect a certain level of her comeliness and cleanliness. Nyree learned early on that people pay more to those that dress better. Instead of simply moving things from point A to point B, she buys low and sells high.
Personality:
Nyree is highly outgoing, perky, and very extroverted. The teen keeps up with culture and can more than hold her own in a conversation covering almost anything. She picks up information virtually everwhere and tucks it away since you never know when you'll need it next. She can be ecentric and bizzare at times, but she is (arguably) one of the most likable people in the galaxy.
STRENGTHS
++Charmer: From an early age, Nyree learned that she had a knack for just charming people. Her tongue is silver as can be, and she just has an innate skill when it comes to pleasing people. Thought she doesn't know it, part of this is because of her Zeltron heritage.
++Polygot: She's been around. She's seen a lot of languages. This lady can speak most all of them, read quite a few, and if she doesn't know it--it won't be long till she starts to pick it up.
++Well informed: Nyree keeps her ear to the ground in almost every topic. She has approximate knowledge of many things. And frankly, most of the time, that makes it super easy for her to relate to others. With her latent psychometry, the girl is able to grab further surface level information from most things without even realizing it.
++Business savvy: She knows where to buy low and sell high. She knows how to drive a hard bargain, it all comes pretty instinctive to her. She has prices of virtually every well-paying commodity stacked to memory. If a market shifts, chances are she will know it first. Her ability to appraise the value of things is second to none.
++Cultural savant: she's been exposed to a variety of wild cultures. Some strait up bizzare. Nyree is pretty comfortable in some of them that would make most beings balk.
++Friend in every town: It comes with being a charming traveling extrovert, but Nyree has more friends than she knows what to do with. She makes good trade contacts, and has a friend in pretty much every port she frequents
++Decent pilot: While the lady isn't a fighter pilot, she can handle her own flying pretty much anything. However, she specializes in light freighters.
WEAKNESSES
--Finner things in life: Nyree likes nice clothes, good food, soft chairs, and pleasing music. She doesn't like roughing it and is a lover of all the finer things. She likes her creature comforts and would rather spend her money on a nice dress than save it, even when to do so is the wiser choice.
--Talker not a fighter: Nyree is confident she can talk her way out of anything, and to tell you the truth, she will sure try. Combat isn't her go to and she's pretty lacking.
--Ecentric: Nyree is a little bit of an odd bird. She's a bit of a low-grade social deviant. She has odd tastes in food, odd gestures, and a few weird turns of phrase that she likes that Nyree has picked up or even just made up.
--Generous to a fault: Nyree gives without thinking. The girl has a generous heart and doesn't really know how to turn that off. Even for people that are taking advantage of her, Nyree will give.
--Refuses to kill: Nyree may be a bit nieve but she refuses to take a life. She thinks everyone can change. Everyone can make their lives better. She refuses to kill anyone, even when to do so would bite her in the butt.
--People Pleaser: At her heart, all Nyree wants to do is just make people happy. She craves the approval of those around her and will go to great lengths to get it. That is really, the heart of her constantly groomed appearance, her great makeup, her manner of dress, her generosity, and everything really. All she wants is to have friends.
BIOGRAPHY:
Nyree never knew her father. The young girl came from a well-off Kiffar Gem merchant and luxury goods mover named Genla Nagir. Genla never spoke of Nyree's father, and Nyree never asked. Genla was a career woman, and Nyree loved her mother, so the wealthy woman had her follow along across the galaxy. Nyree learned everything about her trade craft from her mother, and soon found she had a knack for dealing with people and products in general. The girl could bat her pretty eyes and give a sweet smile and everyone would just seem to melt in her hands like putty. Of course, it was her latent Zeltron and Force sensitivity at work, supplementing her natural charm, but Nyree never knew.
Nyree decided she liked the way it felt to make people happy and soon, that became all she lived for. She dressed well, loved good food, and made a rapidly increasing string of friends on every planet she visited. It just was like she was born to make people happy and drive good bargains doing it.
Next to pleasing people, Nyree's second love came to be pleasure itself. Genla showered her daughter with everything that she wanted, fine clothes, fine dining, fine furniture, anything that she wanted. Business was good and the girl got all she wanted. Nyree found a certain standard of living and decided she never wanted to lose it.
Genla, however, was not about to let her daughter become just a mindless, pretty girl without a tradecraft to earn her cash. Nyree showed a knack for the craft and Genla was more than happy to provide an opportunity for her daughter to perfect it. One moment she was watching Tariss Got Tallent and the next negotiating the sales of Arkanian diamonds. And through this on the ground training, the girl became even closer than never before to her mother.
But of course, even the greatest duos must come to an end. Eventually Genla decided to take a back seat into early semi-retirement. She had the money, her daughter had the skills as far as she needed, so Genla decided to become an intel broker working out of Atrisia, catering to other high-end goods dealers. Nyree became her own merchant, traveling the hyperspace lanes in her yatch/luxury freighter The Sky Princess. In the end, Nyree found herself driven to do the best she could. She found pride in sniffing out not just Gems, but anything she could buy low and sell high. Nyree would even make it a challenge; frequently she would drop an investment on some odd and specific thing (like Bantha jerky from Tatoowine, or a cargo hold full of industrial grease) that would make her mother quirk an eyebrow in surprise, haul it across the galaxy, and sell at the right place at just the right time to make a bumper profit.
