Faction Light Up the Void: Aftermath of Garn and Maldra IV [Empire of the Lost]

New-Eot-L-Divider.png
Imperial troopers march battered, yet victorious upon the surface of Maldra IV.

However, even in victory, they walk amidst the ruins of the fallen Imperial and Coalition fleets. Stormtroopers, clones, and other personnel cut through wreckage to extract survivors as paratroopers rescue downed pilots from precarious territory. The situation is much the same in space as it is on the ground, with efforts to recover escape pods and crew going deep into the evening hours. Unfortunately, the work is just as gruesome as it is lifesaving. Oftentimes, crews arrive at their assignments to find lifeless bodies floating in the void, their only responsibility being to tag the dead for later processing before pressing on to find others who can still be saved.

For these crews and the survivors awaiting rescue, the mood is solemn, yet resolute.

However, while the battle is decided, it is far from over. For many Imperials, all that remains of their mission is to breach and capture the Nest—a critical stronghold of the Coalition military. All the while, actions are underway to round up the surviving Coalition forces for trial, though many Imperials choose to deal with the prisoners via extrajudicial means.

While many find their solace in discipline and resolve, there are others whose hearts are filled with vengeance.

Objective I: The Finale

What was once the nexus of the juggernaut that was the Coalition military may now be the failed rebellion’s final bastion against Imperial domination over Maldra IV. Imperial command intends to have the subterranean installation under full Imperial control within 24 hours. However, for those forces tasked with taking it, an exhaustive defense network awaits them both inside and outside the facility. In order to achieve their objectives, the battle-hardened Imperial assailants will need to draw on their last reserves of strength and aggression as the Coalition soldiers within make their last stands.

At any and all cost, the Nest must fall.

Objective II: Liberation and Recovery

In the wake of the disastrous ionic superpulse, fleet commanders and crews work around the clock to recover life and vessel. To prevent yet more vessels from falling to the surface, ships must be resuscitated and their engines brought back to life before it is too late. Theirs is a critical mission, as the loss of yet more Imperial warships and personnel might well spell the total collapse of the Imperial Navy, which already has the bulk of its fleet assets tied up in drydock.

In much the same vein, many of the wounded are treated on the Nucleus, which has been brought into the system to assist in the ongoing personnel recovery efforts. With many of the Empire’s best suffering grievous injuries during the battle, it is here that they are brought to ensure their survival and continued service.

Objective III: Situation Report

On the Velran-class super star destroyer Revenge, the Empire’s high-ranking decision-makers gather in the vessel’s conference to discuss matters of critical importance as the war against the Tingel Arm Coalition enters its final stages. Although plans are already underway to rebuild the Empire’s industry and replenish its clone armies, the immediate problem of the Imperial Navy’s depleted roster must be addressed. While there are many who believe that the solution is simply to accelerate shipyard production, there are some proposals outlining risky alternative solutions that may or may not yield fruit.

Objective IV: Bring Your Own Objective

There are yet more stories and settings to explore in the wake of the battle than are possible to list here. Make your own adventure, create your own scenario, or simply bask in the narrative to your heart's content. Whatever you choose to do, have fun!

These Single worded thoughts are what permiated the minds of Commander Zealot and the two dozen Imperial Paragons that followed him. The successive destruction Platoons and Companies of TAC soldiers, at the hands of the relentlessly brutal Imperial Paragons, had pushed the defenders down into the winding corridors and tunnels of their bunker complex. What would follow would no doubt be a hard slog, as ambushes, prepared emplacements, booby traps, and the last stands of many TAC squads would be all that awaited those who entered, a treacherous job for all no doubt.

But the Paragons, and what scattered and broken through elements of the Imperial Army, Stormtrooper Corps, and Grand Army that joined them, would do their duty. As they did not just come all this way through Blaster Bolts and mud, just to let the rats scurry away and dig in even more.

Going in there all at once would be suicide, so the Commander would split those assembled into a dozen teams. 2 Paragons accompanied by 2 squads of either Imperial Army Troopers, Stormtroopers, or Clone Troopers. The Paragons would be the ones ar the front, securing the tunnels that they were in and would be the ones to dispatch dug in defenders should they run into them. The Squads on the other hand would be tasked with clearing rooms that the Paragons are not occupied with and assisting the Paragons with tunnel security. Finally, 3 remaining squads and single Paragon would act as rearguard to the tunnel entrance and reserve should the tunnel cleaners need reinforcements

It was a very rough plan, one that had many holes and potential for going horribly wrong should things get extra confused down there. But it was all they had in this situation and the best they were going to get for the time being, and so they delved into that place as the battle on the surface raged...

Hours before...
"CHIT! CHIT! CHIT! Oh my force it hurts. Keegan where the hell is my leg?"

Moira arrived with the much-needed medical supplies and started cleaning and bandaging his wound. "I've got it. To be fair sir it's a clean-cut, we just need to get you to the medbay as quickly as possible."

Karl had been able to stand up and get to the podium, he winced as he did so blood pooling under the stump of his lost leg. He looked around at the ghost-linked crew in their anguished contortions. He took out one of his code cylinders and pressed it into the podium. It lit up.

"How the hell did you do that?" Keegan asked

Raspily, "I always keep an extra ion-proof battery. It won't last long but we can use it to reroute power where it needs to go." Karl's hand slipped off the podium sending him falling to the floor with a loud thud. "Kriff! No, don't worry about me, Keegan. Reroute power to the life-support systems and medbays."

"Sir." Moira, the ensign said lifting him off the ground while Keegan punched in the commands on the podium. "We need to get you to the medbay as soon as possible. Chit, he's losing blood."

"The console's dead. I was able to reroute power to life-support, but I couldn't get any of the nearby medbays online. The only other ones are on the other side of the ship. You there," he said pointing at the two deathtroopers, "help me lift him. Drop you damned guns; Moira, keep his fluids up."

The next thing Karl remembers is the feeling of weightlessness before his vision turned black. He kept fading in and out seeing the head of either Moira or Keegan above him saying the same things, "You'll be okay." before blacking out again. What felt like an eternity of darkness began to grow shapes and colors again as Karl regained consciousness.

"We have to get him to another medbay. One of them HAS to be functional."

"If this one is as busted as the last one, I doubt there are any FUNCTIONAL ones aboard, Sir."

Moira and Keegan fighting, that is what he awoke to. Funnily enough, he had expected Keegan to be the level-headed one, but it seems Moira took that cake. It seems that they were fighting on whether or not to take him to another medbay, to which Karl assumed that this was either the second or third they had brought him to. He chuckled under his breath before lifting a hand, which quieted them down.

"All this fuss? For me? You shouldn't have." He said this in a joking tone, trying to ease the temper in the room. "Keegan, I'll be fine. Head to the tertiary bridge. Command staff know to go there in an incident, at least the surviving command staff. Go now, I don't want to hear objections. I'll meet you there."

"Yes sir." Keegan said leaving the room and motioning for one of the deathtroopers to follow him.

After he left, Karl turned his head toward the ensign. "Moira, be honest. Am I still bleeding?" She didn't respond with words but nodded in affirmation while looking past him down the hall, presumably at the back of Keegan, her hand clenched in anger at her side. He lowered his head, now finally looking at the pool of blood surrounding his stump leg. Hmph. Chit. He thought I liked that leg. He opened his flask and took a small sip before pouring the rest on his stump.

Looking towards the remaining deathtrooper, "Soldier, get me a burning piece of metal and something to bite down on."

Karl sat in one of the many situation rooms aboard the Revenge, one of his old First Order datapads in his hand. He was going over the newest batch of data the commodore Keegan had sent from the Basilisk, as Ensign Moira walked into the room.

"Sir, the Nucleus is in system and helping with medical efforts." She said not knowing she was staring at his cauterized wound. "Sir, do you want me to do anything? I can get you some more pain meds for your leg."

"I appreciate the sentiment Ensign, but to be honest the pain is what is keeping me awake." He said while smiling through his pain. "Go head to the Nucleus, your skills are better needed there. I'm sure they'll take all the help they can get. Thank you for all you've done."

"Of course, Sir." She said saluting before she exited.

Then Karl was left alone with his thoughts, an old datapad, and a flask of something Corellian. He breathed, though each breath only stung and he exhaled, even though each exhale burned with electrical smoke. He coughed a few times before taking a sip from his flask to quiet it, it instead did the opposite, making him cough more and spitting out a few droplets of that something Corellian. He looked toward the middle of the table where a carafe of water sat, much too out of his reach.

He swallowed the nothingness of his mouth; his throat was drier than the twin-sun planet of Tatooine. He carefully hoisted himself up onto his right leg and hobbled to the water before him, holding onto the table with a death grip. He carefully positioned himself on his elbows to pour the water into a cracked glass before abandoning the glass altogether and taking a sip from the carafe, quenching his thirst.

He placed his stump back where it was originally resting on after a brief struggle back to his chair, he let out a long exhale feeling the fire in his lungs slightly extinguished. How the hell did intelligence not know about that weapon? How many Imperials weren't going back to their families? How are the shipyards going to handle this mess? These and many other thoughts flew through Karl's mind as he sat alone waiting for the first guest to arrive.

It had been only hours since Evelina had left the Citadel, her hand leaking blood and her lungs raw from asphyxiation. For anyone else, it might have taken weeks to heal from the injuries inflicted upon her flesh by the Echani Jedi. Instead, it took the Butterfly only hours to recover, aided by a bacta patch and a few mechnosutures to close the wound.

Nevertheless, just as she thought her role in the battle might be over, Evelina was summoned to Maldra IV to accompany the Paragon-led assault force into the Nest as an assassin attaché. Ever dutiful, the Butterfly did not hesitate in following the order. Thus, after procuring a new pistol, she boarded the shuttle to the surface before linking up with the Paragons once she was planetside.

And soon, Evelina found herself engaged in the thick of the slaughter.

Her chakrams described arcs of death in-flight as they tore through bodies at blistering speed. To her left, a pair of human Coalition soldiers were decapitated via chakram before they could open fire, their severed heads sent flying as crimson vitae spurted out from their necks in the manner of a geyser. To her right, a flying chakram sent a charging Wookiee sprawling face-first to the ground, viscera spilling out from where his hips had been moments prior as he fell. Then right in front of the Butterfly, an Ovissian’s vibro-sword came within centimeters of her helmet, the strike narrowly dodged with a pirouetting backstep. Evelina called both of the chakrams back into her grasp before throwing them one after the other towards her assailant, severing both of his feet at the ankles.

However, before the Ovissian’s body could fall helplessly to the ground, Evelina’s vibroblade was buried deep into his skull, impaling the space between the eyes.

"Failure to act always brings consequences. But sometimes, those consequences can be turned to one's advantage."

Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Objective III: Situation Report.

Sieliel Dimegor of the Imperial Immortals was set to attend the meeting among the top brass within the Empire of the Lost. Important dignitaries of the Imperial Ruling Council had questions for the New Imperial Security Bureau. Among them was the most pertinent and important above all others: how were they not warned about the ionic superpulse weapon deployed by the late leader of the Tingel Arm Coalition-- Fynch Fynch -- during the Battle of Maldra IV?

The answer laid within the conspiracy that has quietly slid it's way into the upper echelons of the Empire whose foundations were laid by the late Staff Director of the NISB, Alicia Drey Alicia Drey :

Agents of the Tsis'Kaar have infiltrated the NISB since the turn of the ninth century after the late Director begun colluding with a member of the Dark Council (in the form of Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr ) to begin influencing, and sabotaging, the Empire of the Lost from within. It was those same conspirators who had withheld the intelligence that could have saved tens of thousands of personnel lost during the battle as the late Rebellion leader broke the Imperial naval forces in orbit of Maldra IV with his weapon.

As a clean up operation was conducted to salvage what was left the NISB had sent a Major from the Imperial Immortals to act in her capacity as Staff Agent within the organisation to meet with the likes of Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss and the other Moffs who sat upon the Imperial Ruling Council put together by the late Velran Kilran Velran Kilran to answer those questions, and more.

Arriving in the Maldra system on board the Science cruisier Nucleus Sieliel and five from the Imperial Immortals took six TIE/DL to approach the flagship Revenge to land within the Velran-class Super Star Destroyer.

"This is Major Dimegor of the Immortals approaching on vector to your aft starboard," Sieliel spoke into the intercom as she hailed the Revenge. "Transmitting codes, over."

"Codes received. Pause your approach and await confirmation, over,"
replied a voice on the other end.

"Fall in on these co-ordinates and take formation on my heading," Sieliel then transmitted to her squadron. As they fell into line around her Sieliel turned her gaze to the viewing screen and watched as several TIE fighters flew in to surround the Imperial Immortals as the Major's codes were processed by the Revenge. Several minutes passed as the starfighters passed on the aft starboard side of the destroyer. It was a magnificent ship made to honour the anointment of the late Emperor of All Imperial Kind, the Eggman, Velran Kilran Velran Kilran . Quietly Sieliel hoped to be in command of such a vessel later on in her career.

As Sieliel's squadron continued to hold formation-- escorted by the Revenge's TIE fighters-- the Major quietened her breathing and took the moment to center herself. She knew why she was nervous, of course. As the Fifth Wing continued to supplant the Empire under the noses of it's ruling elite on Lianna her superiors within the NISB had fed her to the Imperial Ruling Council to cover up their "mistake". However, it was not a mistake that had allowed the likes of Fynch Fynch to deploy his weapon, but instead it had been by design.

With the formation of the Tingel Arm Coalition and it's aggressive Rebellion against the Empire presented an opportunity to further weaken the Imperials as they continued to lick their wounds after the Sith Order's victory in the Tion system. Although victory had been secured at Lothal, Mon Calamari, Maldra IV and Garn the Empire and it's expansionist policies that had taken it into the Esstran sector (where the Sith Holy Worlds rested within the realms of the Stygian Caldera) had been severely diminished as the Imperials were forced to deal with the Rebels who sought to liberate the star systems taken under their control.

Therefore, when the NISB had secured intelligence regarding the Super ionicpulse weapon (which the Tingel Arm Coalition had created in their mission to liberate the Tion Cluster), the files had been classified and withdrawn from the notice of the Imperial Ruling Council as they drew plans to counter-attack the rebels after the disastrous first engagements during the battles of Lothal and Mon Calamari. The result had been a catastrophic loss of several Star Destroyers and other smaller, yet vital battle ships as Fynch Fynch desperately tried to repel the Empire's invasion of Maldra IV.

But the Fifth Wing were cunning, and in anticipation of this scenario, had prepared accordingly. As the most important dignitaries of the Empire gathered on board the Revenge to be debriefed following the conclusion of the Battle of Maldra IV, the Nest-- a former Old Republic installation repurposed for the Tingel Arm Coalition-- had been hacked by the Direct Surveillance of Domestic Threats after the NISB had deployed a member of the Imperial Immortals to infiltrate the base and secure a link between it and the DSDT during the battle.

It would be a simple, but effective lie that was based mostly in truth. With the assassination of the late Staff Director (allegedly at the hands of the Tsis'Kaar) the New Imperial Security Bureau and it's intelligence gathering operations had been put into disarray which was further exacerbated by the formation of the Tingel Arm Coaliation; it's consequential rebellion against the Empire of the Lost; and the fallout of the Siege of Tion, which had plunged the Empire into economic recession and security instability as Tionese refugees flooded several star systems leading to the formation of the Tionese Reformation Movement of which the NISB has been actively clamping down, and exterminating, since Fùchóu Zhī Shén Fùchóu Zhī Shén first came to their attention.

These combined facts presented an official stance that the NISB were set to adopt, and that Major Dimegor would explain in the debriefing. That the loss of Director Drey, alongside the refugee crisis caused by the destruction of Tion, and the security operations conducted by the Imperial Immortals to crush Fùchóu Zhī Shén Fùchóu Zhī Shén 's Tionese Reformation Movement scuppered the NISB's intelligence gathering apparatus resulting in a loss in intelligence on the Tingel Arm Coalition which led to the deployment of the weapon during the battle.

It all hinged on whether or not the Moffs could be convinced. Was the death of Alicia Drey Alicia Drey that impactful on the Empire's security and intelligence operations, or was there something more sinister to all of this? It all hinged on Sieliel now. This was a test in more ways than one. Pass it, and she would leave the Revenge with her cover intact, but also with her freedom, and life. But, perhaps more importantly, she would prove herself a valuable asset to her master within the Sith Order who were now pulling strings in the wake of the Director's death.

"Major Dimegor of the Immortals," said the same voice on the other end of the transmission between Sieliel and the Revenge. "Your codes have been accepted. You are designated to land in hangar 34-A, over."

"Thank you. Instructions received. Over, and out."

Distracted away from the plausible deniability of the NISB Sieliel flew her TIE/DL to lead the formation of starfighters into the bowels of the Revenge. Upon arrival the Major disembarked and upon stepping foot on board the destroyer she was met with a security team tasked to escort her to the debriefing. Together, they marched throughout the ship and into the situation room where Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss was waiting for her.

As the security team left the room Sieliel raised her hand to her head and saluted Moff Strauss. "Sir. Major Dimegor reporting on behalf of the New Imperial Security Bureau. Reporting as ordered."

The actions of Mechu Deru Mechu Deru and a couple others along with the medical capabilities of her armor had saved the life of Grandmaster Teckla Tane long enough for her shuttle to bring her to Maldra IV and join up with the Strike Fleet. It was lucky for those involved that the Grandmaster was unconscious upon arrival as there is no telling what response the aimlessly floating fleet would have stirred. The Empire had won again over the rebellion. Again the cost had been high. The question now was how high, and what the next steps were.

The red headed Grandmaster woke in a dim medbay. Minimal power had been restored to the Imperial Paramount. Enough to ramp up activity to see to some injured. Teckla of course was given priority, and now she laid on a medical bed hair wet following time in a bacta tank and wearing a light patient gown. She could feel her chest being held together by bandages as the bacta continued to do its healing work.

Green eyes blinked open slowly taking in the waving strawberry blonde hair of her cousin Roxxann Tane Roxxann Tane standing over another patient Admiral Baik Rimmer. "What happened to the Admiral?" Teckla questioned.

"Oh you're awake Overseer. The Admiral is recovering from the outage of his armor. He will be fine as will you in time," the younger Tane stated with a smile.

Teckla sighed and closed her eyes again, not to rest but to reach out with the Force. Her eyes flashed back open. "Have we moved away from the rest of the fleet?" before Roxanne could answer the Grandmaster answered her own question. "No. We are still here. And so dear cousin, time is not a luxury that we have…" her voice trailed off into a coughing fit. "I trust there are other capable hands to look over the Admiral. I need you to take me to the Revenge" Roxxann saw the look in Teckla's eyes and merely nodded meekly.

As Teckla Tane Teckla Tane was sleeping on the Medical Frigate, Kaanni walked towards the red head her eyebrows crinkled into a frown. Teckla was one of the people her father told not to trust. Though they hardly saw each other, Kanni could tell that Teckla was an ambitious sort. Always looking for an opportunity to attain power. Part of Kaanni wondered if she was after her throne, she head rumors that Teckla had the desire to marry Velran so she can rule. Idiot.

"Father always wanted me to rule," Kanni thought. "I was the only person who he was willing to share power with."

But now her father is dead and no doubt Teckla will strike like a Sando Aqua Monster after smelling blood in the water. The head of the Imperial Crusaders probably thinks Kanni as some gullible pushover. She would be wrong. The Tingel Arm Coalition has been defeated yet again and it was all but assured that the Empire of the Lost won the short lived Rim War. But to Kanni she couldn't help but feel that the war inside the Empire was about to begin. Sides were already taken and if Kanni wants to remain Empress, she needs allies.

"So where do you fall Tane?" Kanni said as she gotten closer to the woman.

"Grandmaster Teckla," Kanni gave her a "warm" smile. "I've heard that you've suffered grievous injuries during the battle, I've come to see if you are okay?"

Objective III: Situation Report.

Aboard
The Revenge

Maldor entered the room aboard the Revenge where the Moffs would be meeting, taking his seat at the table.

A military disaster of this nature inevitably resulted in a plethora of after-action reports and damage-control meetings. Despite the Empire's victory here, this had been a profound military disaster.

Or perhaps- as Maldor thought of it- a supreme failure of Intelligence.

Blame only mattered somewhat, in terms of avoiding a similar failure in the future. What was really important here was figuring out how to pick up the Imperial Fleet's pieces and carry on after such incredible losses.

For once, Maldor found that his own losses were minimal after a major action.

He'd come here with the dregs he could beg, borrow, or steal, while his main fleet was undergoing repairs and refit on Voss and allied shipyards. His counterparts within the Empire had been generous with their facilities, and new allies had made ship hulls available to him... but ships could not be formed or rebuilt overnight. Had the Empress not honored him with command of the Revenge, his presence would have been utterly laughable and entirely inadequate.

But that shortcoming was now a boon.

By sheer luck, he'd lost almost nothing of his own ships, and the portion of the Imperial fleet under his control was coming out of countless drydocks as a thoroughly modernized and entirely fresh fighting force. For perhaps the first time since coming over to the Empire, Maldor found himself in a position of real strength among the members of the Council.

And that was dangerous.

He had studiously avoided being a target, thus far. He had striven for workmanlike efficiency and pragmatism in all of his dealings within the Empire. He was not someone to envy, merely someone who could be worked alongside, absent any real concern.

Even the Emperor- paranoid of everyone and everything- hadn't managed to get worked up much about any threat Maldor could pose. The Tapani noble was merely used to fill holes in fleet engagements, taking objectives and moving the Imperial War Machine forward in effective but uninspired fashion. He'd been given the resources and respect needed to accomplish the Emperor's objectives. Nothing more.

He was nothing special.

Now that perceived reality was beginning to change.

It made Maldor wary. It was worsened by the fact that this turning of chance- the accident of his entire fleet being intact and at a safe remove- probably seemed like a coup of careful forethought and planning. The actions of a cunning mastermind.

He had to strike the right balance at this meeting- make use of his perceived power and prominence without invoking the ire and action of those who might see him as a threat.

It would be a difficult needle to thread.

Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss Sieliel Dimegor Sieliel Dimegor

OOC - Not sure if the situation room is meant to be the same room for the Moff meeting, so I kept it vague in case Karl and Sieliel wanted to have a private chat somewhere without Maldor present.

Roxanne was just easing the Overseer into a seated position on the hospital bed as the Empress approached. Teckla was not great at sensing other beings' feelings, but she could sense the trepidation within the young royal. That was not a terribly big surprise. Teckla was a large presence. And Kanni's father was slow to trust. It was doubtful the daughter would have received advice to follow Teckla without caution.

Teckla's ambition as a General and a Moff was not something that she hid. At one point it certainly was her goal to be Empress. The thought of ruling as Velran's wife was even something she had N.A. tied around briefly. It became quickly obvious however that Velran would not allow anyone to be his equal. That was when Teckla decided to move out of Imperial politics and enter into the business of seeing Velran's vision come true.

"I require some mending. It is true. It is very good of you, Your Highness, to come and visit me. Have you met my dear cousin Roxanne?" Teckla used the presence of her cousin to assess her next step.

"It is indeed a pleasure Your Highness'" Roxxann spoke up with a bow.

"I believe the other commanders are gathering on the Revenge. Roxxann was about to escort me to join them. You should come along Your Highness."

Current Outfit

Kanni could tell that Teckla was using the Force to probe her mind. While Kanni was born with an immunity to force mind tricks, she still wasn't as proficient at it compared to a Hutt. As irritated as she was, Kanni let it slide, the Empire won a great victory and the last thing she needed was to cause internal tension in the Empire. "That comes later," Kanni thought nervous at the thought of gathering the Moff Council on the revenge.

Still maintaining her smile, Kanni turned her gaze towards Teckla's cousin. "It is wonderful to meet you Roxanne," Kanni said giving her a bow. "Your niece is..... a tenacious type. One who is a real go getter. I'm happy to have her on my Moff Council."

"Such ambition needs to be tempered," Kanni thought bitterly. "Father told me to trust no one, but I need to. I can't assume everyone is out to get me, how in blazes will I get anything done?"

Better to have a restless night than endure an eternal slumber is what Velran taught Kanni. Paranoia is a survival trait, Kanni can't afford to relax as she is now the Empress. One who now controls three major sectors in Galaxy. She needs to know who she can trust and who will need to be..... watched. Kanni didn't trust Zonn and Maldor Mecetti Maldor Mecetti is almost certain to be a traitor per her father's suspicions. Teckla is a wild card but maybe she can be persuaded. Kanni will need to test her loyalty though. "I've already begun that test," she thought.

"Yes, we need to discuss the aftermath of the battle and decide where to strike next." Kanni said to Teckla. "The TAC is in disarray; their leader is dead killing himself in a pointless sacrifice. The medical frigate is on its way to the Revenge. Your presence is needed, I need everyone on board the Super Star Destroyer because I have important announcements for the council."

Teckla wasn't in the best shape, but Kanni needed loyalty from her. "I've also sent your sister: Dextra Tane Dextra Tane to the surface of Maldra IV," she said. "I've given her 2,500 of my Galactic Marines: The Empress' Own as you might have guessed. She will be the field commander overseeing the aftermath of the battle. Dextra and I have talked for about 3 hours. She speaks highly of you."

Dextra was also a shameless exhibitionist but Kanni kept that to herself.

"Now get some bacta," Kanni said. "We'll be there soon."

Darth Rasnuhl had raged for a time before pooling all of the power he had into a new sorcerers spell with his spell weavers. Down on the RDF Shadow's second bridge they poured all they had into imbuing the force into the ship to circumvent the damage from whatever that weapon was. It wasn't enough power for a full restoration... they did fair better than most of the rest, but after their first stunt all of them were pretty drained.

Darth Rasnuhls thoughts flowed after the dark side anger flare dissipated. How did they get such a weapon? What cost was the use of it? and was it the compromised NISB that caused the lack of knowledge? It was all things that needed answers. The last being the most pressing after the trial of the late Director Drey.

The RDF Shadow along with the much worse off RDF Talisman went about plucking life pods out of space, giving first attention to their fellow crew. Not minding about friend or foe, giving the latter proper treatment as he would hope any of his men would get in return. and that point is one that he will have words over with the others.

Getting the comms in his helmet <<See if a message can be sent to the other fleet commanders with a status report. Along with if they need assistance sooner than later. The RDF Shadow is mostly operational along with our mostly intact support craft.>> He received a quick response from the comm officer followed by the Ai.

A tired Darth Rasnuhl made his way to the shuttle bay to catch an imperial LAAT that could get to the Revenge. It was a short time crossing the eerie field of space before he arrived with a handful of security & engineers.

It would have been perceived the Moff Mecetti had orchestrated this boon of having none of his fleet present. Except that glossed over the fact that he paid the highest price when TAC had invaded Dac. He was the center of the force caught off guard, if there was forewarning Darth Rasnuhl could have brought enough to hold the line. But that wasn't the point. He was a good strategist who did what was necessary, but also showed careful thought into everything.

Now the turbo lift had stopped, walking the not far distance to the designated meeting room Here we go again, time to temper the force back into balance. he thought. Walking in seeing Maldor already seated Darth Rasnuhl took his helmet off and unto the table when he sat down. Giving Maldor a nod.

OOC: Like Maldor, I left things vague for the meeting spot.

Karl didn't have to wait long as Major Dimegor was escorted into the room via an entourage of security personnel. He watched as they departed and as she saluted him. His brow furrowed as she mentioned the NISB, but quickly unfurrowed after realizing she was probably sent here as the scapebantha for the larger organization. Still, that didn't mean he wasn't allowed to question the effectiveness of the increasingly subpar intelligence the NISB was feeding them.

"Major Dimegor," he said while returning her salute still seated, "Sorry that I didn't rise when you entered the room. I am a bit out of sorts at the moment." He patted his stump leg. "Please sit, the others should arrive... soon." He didn't say anything more to her, he just waited for her response before he would look back down at his datapad.

After a few minutes, Moff Mecetti walked in and took a seat at the situation room's table, followed by Moff Rasnuhl. Karl gave both an acknowledging nod before speaking up, "Moff Mecetti, Moff Rasnuhl, it is good to see you both in better shape than I. I'm glad to see you both mostly unhurt from that 'ionic pulse' weapon. I..." He said breathing in slowly as the pain radiated from his leg before dying down again. "...wasn't so lucky."

Karl was truly grateful that his betters weren't hurt; he'd rather his old seventy-one-year-old self be hurt than the Empire's foremost and younger Moffs be. He wasn't sure who else they were waiting on, but he did his best to deal with the pain of his leg while continuing to lead rescue efforts through Commodore Keegan and the Nucleus.

Maldor nodded at the other Moffs gathered here.

Rasnuhl's suit had always left Maldor some doubt about how much of the man was flesh and blood. There might have been anything underneath his armored exterior. He could be an alien, or entirely human. Or he could be a near-complete cyborg. Hell, the man could be a droid, for all Maldor knew. That uncertainty had left him some concern about how the mystery weapon might have impacted the man.

But war was chaos, and it seemed that Von Strauss had caught the brunt of damage. The dice of fate were capricious and cruel, and it was difficult to guess where they might land.

"I have a highly-placed Nagai in my staff," Maldor said by way of hello, addressing Karl about his injury. "with strong Yakka connections due to previous employment. I'm told the Yakkan cybernetics are among the best. I could ask him to lean upon his social network to arrange a consult with Yakkan physicians."

There were plenty of excellent physicians and cyberneticists in the Empire, of course. But when it was your leg being replaced, having the best probably mattered more than when you were getting a soldier patched up to go back into the field.

"Of course, some warning about this secret weapon might have obviated any such need..."

Vilissa took her job as the head of the Counter Intelligence Department given by the late Emperor Velran Kilran Velran Kilran with the utmost seriousness. They hadn't been around nearly long enough to finish their actions against foreign operations within the NISB and EOTL space. But she had been around since near the beginning under Aculia Voland Aculia Voland 's Administration working her way up the ranks. The late Emperor Kilran needed someone he could trust wasn't compromised to start sorting out the NISB, hence the CID.

In that short time they might have stopped one operative, but definitely stopped another when he thermal detonated himself corned in an alley. It was enough to paint that the enemy operations were running on a no capture policy. Using the same DSDT that the compromised portion of the NISB used meant that the CID had to work on viewing things from multiple angles at all times. That of the Empire, but also its foreign eyes within.

This also meant that Vilissa had leeway to go into the field and appear at important places, since their side of the data stream wasn't being parsed by foreign assets. It also meant that she was prone to using troops that flew under the radar to not alert her divisions adversaries within the NISB proper.

Vilissa for once was wearing a white NISB uniform with her hair in single braided ponytail. The uniform was bearing nothing more than the standard badging of the CID. She shook her head for a moment as the shuttle dropped out of hyperspace above Maldra IV. Seeing the level of destruction that the weapon had wrought. What a mess, all the more reason & fuel to root out these traitors. Her thoughts quickly changed to the Egg Troopers and one assistant she brought along. This whole thing should have been avoided. Another event like this won't happen again. She had watched Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr like a hawk in the diplomatic meeting. Studying the man who was seen with the former director more than once. At all hours her CID was meticulously growing and organizing itself to clear or flag members of the NISB proper & assets abroad.

Finally comm chatter on her earpiece from the The Revenge broke Vilissa out of her thoughts, responding "This is the CID shuttle, Lancer requesting docking for the meeting. Transmitting clearance codes." There was no way that an important meeting was going to be missed by the "Emperors Eyes".

A few moments pass before a reply comes from the SSD "Identity verified, Shift to vector 1-9B docking Bay 6" A few TIE's moved into a escort formation for the start of their approach.

She nodded at the pilot who nodded in return "Changing vector to 1-9B and heading to Bay 6" At least they were still efficient despite the super weapons destructive use.

The shuttle landed in the bay, shortly after seeing the disembarkment of Vilissa & entourage. Vilissa walked to the guards and showed her CID badge and stated where she was going. Off they went down the hall and up a turbo lift before another hall finally leading to the meeting room.

Vilissa took a deep breadth before mentally telling herself Its another meeting, you already know many of the faces there. She walked in showing the badge to the door guards to let her in. Walking in the assembled people might recognize the woman now in a white NISB uniform with CID insignia along with a long ponytail from the negotiations with the Sith Order. She gave a slight bow towards the Moffs before taking a chair opposite of where the NISB representative was seated.

The Counter Intelligence Department was determined to finish what the late Emperor Kilran had tasked them with... with meticulous ever growing information gathering.

turned away from Moff Strauss and took her seat as she waited for the arrival of the other dignitaries of the Empire. As the new Empress took her place in the meeting Sieliel stood up and saluted her before lowering herself back down.

"Welcome," Sieliel spoke into the microphone in front of her as Vilissa Pormenn Vilissa Pormenn entered. "Today the Bureau will share it's prepared report regarding the status of the Empire's security, and our mission on Maldra 4. Leaning away from the microphone Sieliel activated a Cone of Silence. Nearby the artificial lights of the situation room dimmed and were replaced by the eerie white of the Cone as it bathed the Imperials in complete and utter silence as the TRIGONUS REPORT appeared in front of them on the designated terminals that were seated before for them to read.

Written by Sieliel Dimegor, Major of the Imperial Immortals, acting as Staff Agent of the N.I.S.B.

On Stardate 0722902 the Staff Director of the New Imperial Security Bureau, Alicia Drey, was discovered deceased in Lianna City inside her apartment. Post mortem proves that the Director had been dead for a period of three weeks due to an autopsy (performed by the N.I.S.B in Lianna City) revealing post rigor mortis with ligatures suggesting asphyxia due to injuries discovered around the levator scapulae and splenius capitis (the neck) caused by an unknown assailant who we believe to be her murderer.

Flight manifests place the Initium (the Director's personal star courier) departing Lianna three weeks before her body was discovered by the Imperial Immortals which further collaborates that the Director was murdered somewhere outside of the Lianna system before her body was returned to Lianna City where it was then discovered by the N.I.S.B special taskforce dubbed the "Imperial Immortals".

It is our conclusion that Director Drey was murdered by the so called "Tingel Arm Coalition" as a consequence of her being discovered as a spy within the Empire of the Lost and not, as it was previously alleged, by the Tsis'Kaar.

We have yet to determine where the Director went before her body was discovered three weeks later.

The star courier called the "Initium" is currently missing, and believed to be in the hands of the suspect responsible for the Director's murder. A review of the Director Surveillance of Domestic Threats indicates that the surveillance program was linked to this missing ship. As we attempted to purge the system and sever the links to the Initium we were unsuccessful due to a sub-routine coded into the program which prevents the link between it and the missing star courier being removed without further compromising the system which could lead to it being permanently shut down through malicious code that would cause a system wide error.

Loss of the DSDT Program would be catastrophic for the intelligence gathering, and surveillance initiatives of the N.I.S.B which have been instrumental recently in quelling the recent rise in anti-Empire rhetoric and the Tion Reformation Movement founded after the destruction of Tion by Fùchóu Zhī Shén Fùchóu Zhī Shén whom we have arrested, and currently hold in our custody, after he was discovered assisting the "Tingel Arm Coalition" on Maldra IV.

Due to the fact that we cannot sever the link between the Initium and the Director Surveillance of Domestic Threats we have continued to run the program while we search for the ships whereabouts to conduct a recovery operation.

As per our press statement the N.I.S.B conducted a thorough investigation into the Director where it was discovered that she had engaged in acts of sedition and treason against the Empire which collaborates the findings of Lutin Corveni Lutin Corveni that were provided in her trial that was held by the late Emperor Velran Kilran Velran Kilran following the destruction of the Tion system.

Our investigation concluded that the existence of the so called "Fifth Wing" has no basis of fact or evidence of it's existence, and was a fabrication created by Director Drey in order to divert attention away from her own seditious and treasonous acts.

Furthermore, we have collaborated the transmissions sent by the Sith armadas at Tion bringing forth the conclusion that the consequential Battle of Tion between the Empire of the Lost and the Sith vassal state termed "The Sith Holy Worlds" was an orchestrated event made by the Director in order to bring both factions into war.

The death of Director Drey has left the N.I.S.B leaderless. This has subsequently affected the organisations efforts to maintain the internal and external security of the Imperium. As a consequence of this failure in leadership the N.I.S.B were unable to launch the necessary intelligence gathering on the likes of the "Tingel Arm Coalition" which led to the surprise attacks on the Mon Calamari and Lothal systems by the rebellion, and later, the detonation of the so called "Ionic superpulse" superweapon that was used during the Battle of Maldra IV
.

Furthermore, with the discovery of the Director's seditious and treasonous acts against the Empire, we have subsequently discovered a level of corruption in the top office of the organisation that has since been abated with her death.

It is therefore paramount that a new Staff Director is selected to takeover the N.I.S.B to ensure that the new leadership can produce the necessary intelligence gathering and supply of information to the Imperial military branches; the Imperial Ruling Council; and the Empress of the Lost.

During our internal review we discovered and investigated missing personnel of Outpost Northwest: an installation belonging to the DSDT Program that was decommissioned by Director Drey several months before her death.

Upon reopening the outpost we discovered a cover-up which obfuscated the following facts:

  • Valery Noble, Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order, and General in the Galactic Alliance, was discovered in Lianna City by Outpost Northwest on Stardate 2303902.
  • Director Drey made contact with Noble.
  • Following their meeting Outpost Northwest was decommissioned and it's personnel are missing.
  • The presence of the Jedi Grandmaster was obfuscated by Director Drey.
  • Alicia Drey was a stolen identity taken from a deceased entrepreneur from Chandrila by Ella Nova: a Jedi Knight whom served in the Old Republic military during the Star War called the "One Sith Wars" which was waged more than fifty years ago in the decade following the end of the Four-Hundred Year Darkness.
It is in our findings that based on the seditious and treasonous acts of Director Drey-- an undercover Jedi operative now known to us as Ella Nova-- brought the Empire of the Lost into conflict with the Sith Empire which coincided with the subsequent declaration of war made by the Galactic Alliance on the Sith that has sparked another conflict presently being conducted along the Mid Rim Territories.

The N.I.S.B has thoroughly analysed galactic events that have coincided with the conflicts that have erupted between the Galactic Alliance and the Dark Empire in the Core Worlds dubbed the "C o r e W a r s"; the Rim War between the Empire of the Lost and the rebellion colloquially termed as the so called "Tingel Arm Coalition"; and the war between the Alliance and the Sith Order based in the Jutrand system currently being waged along the Mid Rim Territories.

We have discovered that members of the New Jedi Order are, or were currently, in service to the Galactic Alliance, the Dark Empire, the defeated "Tingel Arm Coalition", and the Empire of the Lost. The presence of these Jedi among all four of these entities, which coincided with war being declared, suggests a conspiracy by the New Jedi Order to eliminate it's political and ideological rivals across the galaxy namely in the purge of the ideology of Imperialism and the entities which follow, or support it.

Known members of the New Jedi Order (N.J.O) currently serving (or were serving) in the Galactic Alliance, Dark Empire, Tingel Arm Coalition, and Empire of the Lost are / were:

  • Ella Nova, otherwise known to us as Alicia Drey, who served the Old Republic (destroyed by 851 ABY by the "One Sith") as a Knight of the Republic, and later as Staff Director of the New Imperial Security Bureau for the Empire of the Lost, who made contact with the leader of the New Jedi Order on Stardate 2303902 in Lianna City.
  • Valery Noble, Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order, and "Sword of the Jedi", who currently serves the Galactic Alliance as a General in their military, and who infiltrated Lianna City on Stardate 2303902 to meet with the Jedi spy Ella Nova.
  • Jonyna Si, Jedi Master of the New Jedi Order, who served the Galactic Alliance during it's conflicts against the Dark Empire at Tython, Coruscant, and who later founded the "Tingel Arm Coalition": a rebellion against the Empire of the Lost that attacked the Imperial star systems of Mon Calamari, and Lothal.
  • Balun Dashiell, a Jedi Padawan of the New Jedi Order, who served the defeated rebellion called the "Tingel Arm Coalition" against the Empire of the Lost, and who created the installation known as the Nest that was used to attack the Empire's military forces on Maldra IV.
  • The Fynch, founder of the "Tingel Arm Coalition", who served the Lothal Protectorate: a planetary wide government who ruled the planet Lothal before it's annexation by the Empire of the Lost, and whom is responsible for the detonation of a superweapon used against the Empire of the Lost in the Maldra system.
  • Jasper Kai'el, founder of the Lothal Protectorate, a Jedi Master in the New Jedi Order, and soldier for the "Tingel Arm Coalition" and Galactic Alliance who fought the Empire of the Lost during the Battle of Maldra IV.
  • Braze, Jedi Padawan in the New Jedi Order, who served the "Tingel Arm Coalition" and is in current service to the Galactic Alliance, whom participated in the battles at Lothal, and Maldra IV against the Empire of the Lost.
  • Kaleb Sunwalker, a Jedi Knight of the New Jedi Order, and member of the organisation known as the "Dark Side Elite", who serves the Dark Empire as a "Dark Jedi".
Historically the founder of the First Galactic Empire-- The Great PALPATINE-- addressed a similar conspiracy by the Jedi during the Star War known as the "Clone Wars" which resulted in an attempted assassination of his life and a coup d'état against the Old Republic several centuries ago. His subsequent Declaration of a New Order led to the founding principles of which the Empire of the Lost have adopted and which makes us the heirs to the GALACTIC EMPIRE.

The Lothal Protectorate was a government which ruled over the Lothal system and was founded by the Jedi Master-- Jasper Kai'el-- to protect the planet Lothal and the rich Jedi history there such monuments like the Lothal Jedi Temple. It is the analysis of the N.I.S.B which concludes that the rebellion known to us as the "Tingel Arm Coalition" was founded in direct response to the annexation of Lothal by the Empire of the Lost which lead to attacks on Mon Calamari, and Lothal. The subsequent battles of Maldra IV and Garn resulted in the detonation of a superweapon that was used against the Imperial navy by a member of this government known to as The Fynch.

The New Jedi Order is a successor to the Old Jedi Order which served the Old Republic over a century ago. Based on the planet Coruscant (capital of the Galactic Alliance) the members of this religious sect of Force-sensitives are presently at war with the Sith Order on Jutrand; the Kainite-- a secular Sith sect ruled by the Dark Lord of the Kainite, Darth Carnifex-- based within the realms of the Stygian Caldera known to us as the "Sith Holy Worlds"; the Tsis'Kaar-- another secular Sith sect ruled by a Sith Lord called Darth Malum (currently a member of the Dark Council)-- which was founded by the Dark Lady of the Sith, Darth Ophidia, who served the Sith Order known to us as the "One Sith" during the fall of the Old Republic; the Eternalists, who believe that the "Worm Emperor" Darth Empyrean is destined to rule the Galaxy; and the New Sith Order founded by Darth Solipsis: the instigator of the Star War known as the "Second Great Hyperspace War" that was contested thirty years ago between the Galactic Alliance, Brotherhood of Maw, and several other now defunct factions that have since been dissolved, or destroyed.

It is not a coincidence that these Jedi have been sighted all across the known Galaxy engaging in acts that would see the Sith brought into conflict with the Empire of the Lost, the Dark Empire, and the Sith Empire in their efforts to destroy the ideology of Imperialism. More than fifty years ago the Old Republic was destroyed by a Sith Order known as the "One Sith". In the present day the members of this old Sith state remain alive, and active within the aforementioned sects which make up the modern day Sith Empire.

The Jedi, who lost the "One Sith Wars", have subsequently built the successor state to the Old Republic in the form of the Galactic Alliance who is now engaged in warfare against the Sith Empire. The same is true for the Dark Empire: a new faction founded on Carlac which is comprised of Imperial expats of the defunct New Imperial Order (destroyed during the "Second Great Hyperspace War") and the Brotherhood of Maw led by a Dark Lord of the Sith known as Darth Solipsis who founded the New Sith Order.

It is the conclusion of the N.I.S.B that the modern day Star Wars being waged across the Galaxy are direct continuations of the "Second Great Hyperspace War" and the "One Sith Wars" pursued by members of the New Jedi Order who wish to avenge their losses in their previous conflicts against the aforementioned entities, and their aligned factions.

As a consequence of the Empire of the Lost being the successors to the
GALACTIC EMPIRE it is also, in our conclusions, that the Empire became a target of this Jedi plot, and that the annexation of Lothal was used to create the "Tingel Arm Coalition" to pursue their objective in wiping out all traces of Imperialism across the Galaxy.

These conclusions are further collaborated by the exile of Maldor Mecetti from the Galactic Alliance: a former member of the Federal Assembly (a democratic body which governs the Alliance) who represented Obulette before it was discovered by the N.J.O that he was collecting Sith paraphernalia, and now sits on the Imperial Ruling Council with the rank of Moff over the planets Voss, and Folende.

Mecetti, who now sits on the Imperial Ruling Council, is the son of Casteban Mecetti: a Tapani noble and head of House Mecetti which has ruled Obulette for over a millennium. The Mecetti have been out spoken critics of the N.J.O and their policies which included moving the Federal Assembly away from Coruscant under the pretence of invasion by the Dark Empire. In our investigation into Moff Mecetti we discovered no links to Sith paraphernalia leading us to the conclusion that the evidence used against him (which resulted in his exile from the Galactic Alliance) was fabricated in retaliation to a contract made between Mecetti Nationalized Industries and the Empire of the Lost to begin constructing Star Destroyers as well as silencing a dissenting voice on the Federal Assembly.

In order to fabricate the necessary reasons for war against Imperialism across the Galaxy the N.J.O have engaged in acts of silencing, and stopping dissenting voices within the Galactic Alliance in order to pursue their plot to destroy the Sith Empire, Dark Empire, and the Empire of the Lost as seen through the exile of one of it's most outspoken critics in the form of Maldor Mecetti, and the subsequent loss of the late Senator Casteban Mecetti who passed away in suspicious circumstances.

This interference coincides with the open letter of the Trade Federation of Planets to the Empire of the Lost stating their intentions to place a trade embargo on our systems therefore cutting off the supply of necessary goods, and services from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim Territories in possession of the Empire citing the lie that the escalating conflict between the Sith Empire and the Empire of the Lost as a reason to embargo our worlds.

The T.F.P is a long standing member of the Federal Assembly within the Galactic Alliance, and operates as a supplier, manufacturer and distributor of weapons, munitions, and other services which are currently aiding the N.J.O in their wars against the Sith Empire, and Dark Empire. The consequences of this trade embargo resulted in an economic recession across over thirty star systems belonging to the Empire of the Lost.

We can collaborate the presence of the New Jedi Order within entities such as the Galactic Alliance, Dark Empire, and the destroyed "Tingel Arm Coalition" after the Imperial Immortals engaged in a clandestine mission on Maldra IV to infiltrate the Nest. Here, we used the DSDT Program to hack the facility and gain access to the personnel files of the N.J.O members who joined the rebellion against the Empire of the Lost.

As a consequence of our mission during the Battle of Maldra IV we have evidence that members of the N.J.O were in fact apart of the "Tingel Arm Coalition" while simultaneously acting on behalf of the Galactic Alliance. This is a clear hostile act against the Empire of the Lost and it's directiveS set by the late Majesty of All Imperial Kind-- Velran Kilran Velran Kilran -- to reconstitute the GALACTIC EMPIRE.

In summary the Empire of the Lost has been the target of a Jedi conspiracy to destroy Imperialism across the Galaxy. It is the recommendation of the N.I.S.B that the Imperial Ruling Council be ordered by Empress Kilran to sue for peace with the Sith Empire and create a pact with the Dark Empire in order to stop the New Jedi Order and their plot.

Through the creation of peace with the likes of the Sith, and our Imperial aligned comrades on Carlac, the Empire of the Lost can begin rebuilding following the costly conflicts at Felucia, Tion, Mon Calamari, Lothal, Maldra IV and Garn as we prepare for moRE hostilities made against the Empire by members of the Galactic Alliance.

END OF REPORT.

"Moff Mecetti, Moff Rasnuhl, it is good to see you both in better shape than I. I'm glad to see you both mostly unhurt from that 'ionic pulse' weapon. I..." He said breathing in slowly as the pain radiated from his leg before dying down again. "...wasn't so lucky."
He was glad to see the man, on that he needed to speak to more about a lot of things before long. "It is good to see you. I was hoping not worse for wear. I faired well, but that's also due to weaving Sith spells when the weapon went off." That was something very unforeseen.

At that Darth Rasnuhl took off his helmet revealing his scarred head on his orange skin amongst his cranial horns. Looking at Maldor then at Karl "Yes prosthetics hold their place. Unless one wants flesh and blood. I am sure the top geneticists in the Empire can regrow your limb. Or I can talk to Demveath Okamsiu Demveath Okamsiu and see if there is an ancient magic to do the same. If you like?"

"Of course, some warning about this secret weapon might have obviated any such need..."
He nodded, there was so many questions to answer. The main one being who will lead & how badly are they compromised. "That requires cleaning house of those double agents. Luckily the late Emperor was working on it." The man did many things right.

With that Vilissa Pormenn Vilissa Pormenn walks in and gives a bow. As she walks by he sees the CID emblem. Ah, one of the ones working to fix this perfect.

The NISB representative activated the cone of silence, and a Dossier appears to be read by those in attendance about what has happened. Darth Rasnuhl eagerly reads for the time being.

After exchanging pleasantries with Roxxann the new Empress agreed they would need to make their way to the meeting of high esteemed movers and shakers of the Empire. Teckla focused all of her energy inward and controlled her pain. She gently pushed away from her cousin and stood straight and began walking to the transport. "Dextra will do well for you in whatever you assign her. But commanding a battlefield is not her strongest suit. Your Highness will be wise to mix up her assignments." Teckla gave a bit of a smile at this knowing that most of Dextra's orders would come from Teckla not the Empress.

"The Grandmaster as been patched up as best as possible for transport. I hope this meeting will be a civil one," Roxxann added in a concerned tone. But she had given Teckla her advice to stay in the medbay. And it was ignored. There would be no further argument.

Soon enough the trio and their escort arrived on the Revenge. The usual folks were there discussing the outcome of the battle. The NISB representatives were new to Teckla. She would need to have an Obscurer look into them if they ranked high enough to be in this meeting.

She wondered if word had been sent to them of what was recovered from her own mission. Teckla doubted there was much weight being placed on that just yet. "Make them feel and accept your power Empress. For now. I will be an observer," the Grandmaster whispered as she stepped back allowing the Empress to lead.
