Leea Pandac

Name: Leea Pandac (Birth name: Leia Panidao)
Faction: Mandalorian Enclave
Role: part-time pilot, part-time soldier, part-time mercenary, part-time friend, full-time student of life
Species: Mirialan
Age: 17
Sex: Female
Height: 1.6 meters
Weight: 54.43 kg
Eyes: Light Blue
Hair: Raven Black
Skin: Vivid Green
Force Sensitive: Yes
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Strengths:
Lithe: Light and agile, Leea is naturally capable of moving a little faster and is more dexterous than most of her peers

Insightful: The Force has granted her some inkling of perceptions beyond the norm, she has an uncanny ability to notice the heart of an issue, both on the battlefield and in a conversation

Trap-maker: Trained under the most brutal of circumstances, Leea has experience in the art of trap setting; she can competently build primitive or advanced traps and can usually wire a makeshift bomb. This, unfortunately, does not translate into an ability to disarm traps

Pilot: An adequate pilot, Leea prefers fighter craft, but has spent more time at the helm of larger ships. She can accomplish most basic manoeuvres, and not a few of the more advanced ones

Closed-Quarters Combatant: Accustomed to fighting in asymmetrical warfare, on both sides, Leea has developed a strong preference for fighting in tight spaces

Cook?: Something she has not yet touched upon much, Leea did indeed learn how to cook before leaving home and may or may not have spent months as a field kitchen 'Culinary Specialist.' While only having a limited arsenal of dishes, she is a fairly quick learner and does have a basic understanding of flavour combinations (She does not take responsibility for food poisoning! Eat at own risk)

Weaknesses:
Weak: Physically, Leea is inferior to most of her companions and peers, in a melee she will quickly be overwhelmed

Dizzy Spin: With a nonexistent equilibrium, Leea will likely avoid the theme parks

War Shattered: Spending too long on the battlefield tends to weary Leea in more ways than one, she will often display several negative symptoms when exposed to consistent battle

Force Uninitiated: While aware of her sensitivity, Leea is neither comfortable with it, beyond the occasional meditation, nor trained well in its control. She, therefore, has many of the weaknesses and few of the strengths of being Forcie

Survivor or Coward?: Leea has survived all manner of wars and conflicts across a plethora of worlds, she has done so by changing sides at a rate that would alarm most of her allies. When the situation appears untenable, and she has no immediately available allies, Leea often turns or surrenders. She does not talk about it.

APPEARANCE:
Standing only 1.6 meters (about 5'3"), Leea is lightly built and maintains a slender figure. Although open and friendly most times, her features can take on a dour appearance when she is thinking. Her hair is cut short and left untended to, except when necessary for official functions when she is more likely to try out whatever fashion suits her in the moment. From her abdomen downwards, her body is covered in long scars left from reparative surgery.

PERSONALITY:
Open and friendly, Pandac has a bit of a competitive side that tends to show when she takes part in physical activities. She is often the first to take on a project or volunteer for a given mission, however, she has a tendency to lose focus if it seems beyond her abilities. She is contemplative, almost philosophical, when without some clear objective. Very trusting, she is prone to being taken advantage of. She hopes one day to return to Makeb, hoping her family will still be intact. However, she does not wish to return without something to repay their kindness and sacrifice with.

BIOGRAPHY:
Leea was born to three siblings on Makeb, one older, another a twin, and the last younger. As the only girl she felt a certain desire to outperform her brothers; to assert herself as the second oldest. The eldest and youngest were far smarter than her, so she took up track and field along with her twin brother. Leea enjoyed exploring, she had an innate wanderlust that drove her to explore ever further onto the mesas and rocky outcroppings. She would often convince her twin to come along on particularly long journeys, where they would spend days in the wilderness.
It was during one of these longer expeditions that an electro-storm caused a rock slide that trapped both of the siblings in a cave. Leea was trapped under a boulder, her legs crushed and pinned beneath it, while her brother had lost his hand. Attempting to dislodge enough of the rocks to squeeze himself out, the wrist became infected. He managed to escape and promised to get help before disappearing. It was almost a week before help arrived, during which time Leea had survived off a puddle of muddy water that had been left behind by the storm and the few insects that came to drink from it. A squad of soldiers out for maneuvers were the ones that found and finally rescued Leea. She was rushed to a hospital where she remained for a year with reconstructive surgery and a single bacta treatment. Once she was free, Pandac discovered her brother had never returned, no body had been discovered, and the local authorities assumed he had died. Leea was heartbroken.

Pandac returned home to discover her family had sold everything to pay for the medical attention she had received. They were forced to separate and move into different family and friends’ housing as was available. Leea went to live with a close friend of her father. Burdened with guilt and fear, she refused to traverse the mesas, and rarely stepped outside the home. She became lethargic and it seemed as if some previously overlooked illness struck, her temperature rose and she stopped eating. Her family visited whenever possible, and one of the doctors from the hospital generously checked in on her and did what she could to keep Leea alive.

In the deepest point of the illness, Leea seemed to spend more time sleeping than anything else, yet even after her sleep she appeared to be aware of what had transpired near her. She began to talk to people who didn’t exist, the doctor began to wonder if the delirium was a sign of the end. Indeed it was, but not in the sense the doctor had thought. Drawing on some well of strength heretofore unseen, Leea began a surprising and rapid recovery. Within a week she was able to eat and her fever broke, it was barely a fortnight before Pandac was moving about and seeming as healthy as ever.

It was at this time that her elder brother had managed to obtain a job at a local rare mineral refinery, he bought a house and moved the family together again. However, by this point it was obvious they had each changed enough to make it more difficult to live under the same roof. Leea felt the tension more strongly than her siblings, and at the behest of her father’s friend enlisted in the local militia. She proved effective at basic survival training and was quite physically adept. Still somewhat cautious on the rock formations, she proved herself strangely observant of the local geology, seemingly predicting quakes before they struck and often finding a safe refuge to hide in.

The militia was destroyed when a raiding party of a galactic power decided to capture the world and she was taken prisoner alongside a handful of soldiers. Taken off world and pressed into service, Leea was introduced to technology entirely foreign to her way of life before. She soon found herself caught up in war, being sent into the galaxy at the behest of any number of galactic entities as the political reality changed around her.

Hello! I saw on the Journey Begins thread you mentioned she's a volunteer soldier and scout. Kiyron was like that too way at the beginning. Always a pleasure to meet another scout.

Yep. It's a fun route to go, and not too common, even in the Star Wars media. Scouts are mentioned, but don't seemed to get much time in the lime-light.

Yeah, probably. It's fairly disappointing though. Seeing more scouts would be so cool with how they integrate the technology with old skills that human based.

Yah, maybe there should be a movement against droid use, due to their taking sentient's work. Oh wait join the Yuuzhan Vong, they don't like droids. :p

But yah, droids do have a few advantages over sentient species being scouts.

That could be an option, though I'd rather not join them. They're a little odd. Well, more than a little odd, actually.

That is true, definitely. But perhaps not quick thinking or going unnoticed.

Yah I agree, the Vong are weird, and creepy. *shivers*

Oh I think droids will never completely outdo sentient capabilities, but they are less expensive and more objective making them appear to be the better choice, sadly for those of us who have scouting as a job. :(
