Overview: Form V, known as the Way of the Krayt Dragon, was developed by Form III masters seeking a more offensive style to address Soresu's prolonged defensive nature, which could be risky in combat. Combining Form III's defensive maneuvers with Form II's aggressive tactics, Form V emphasizes complete domination through physical strength, making it the most physically demanding lightsaber form. Developed alongside Ataru to actively keep the peace, it has two variants: Shien, focused on countering blaster fire and multiple opponents, and Djem So, designed for overpowering single adversaries through brute strength. While some Jedi criticized Form V for encouraging excessive control over opponents, its proponents, including Jedi Battlemaster Cin Drallig, viewed it as a powerful tool for the Jedi Order. A favorite among many of the jedi that I know. At least in terms of Djem So as a form that is strong for defensive measures to outlast some of the darksiders and sith that they face.

Developed alongside Ataru to actively keep the peace, it has two variants: Shien, focused on countering blaster fire and multiple opponents, and Djem So, designed for overpowering single adversaries through brute strength. A favorite among many of the jedi that I know. At least in terms of Djem So as a form that is strong for defensive measures to outlast some of the darksiders and sith that they face.
- Shien Variant: Known as the Perseverance Form, Shien excels at defending against blaster fire and enemy strikes while maintaining offensive capability, particularly against multiple opponents. Its opening stance is a high two-handed guard, with the lightsaber hilt above the head and the blade angled upward and backward, enabling powerful step-through strikes. Some practitioners used a reverse Shien grip for sweeping strikes to handle multiple foes, though this was controversial. Shien's weakness lies in its reduced effectiveness against a single opponent.
- Djem So Variant: Created to counter Form III's passivity, Djem So focuses on dominating single opponents through powerful, Force-enhanced strikes and immediate counterattacks after defensive moves. Its attack stance involves holding the lightsaber above the head, angled back and down at a 45-degree angle. Djem So's brute strength and wide, forceful strikes can overpower forms like Makashi, though it lacks mobility compared to other forms.
- Barrier of Blades: A Shien technique that defended the user from blaster fire and redirected some incoming blasts. This maneuver allowed practitioners to protect themselves while maintaining the ability to launch counterattacks, making it highly effective against multiple opponents or ranged attacks.
- Falling Avalanche: A Djem So technique characterized by an overhand power blow that crashed down upon an opponent with incredible force. Leveraging the form's emphasis on brute strength, this attack aimed to overwhelm an opponent's defenses through sheer power, often enhanced by the Force.
- Fluid Riposte: A Djem So tactic involving a smooth transition from parrying an attack to a counterstrike. This technique allowed practitioners to maintain a strong defensive foundation while immediately pressing the assault, using the opponent's own strike against them to dominate the duel.
- Shien Deflection: A Shien technique where practitioners simultaneously deflect weapons fire and leap toward an opponent. This maneuver combined defensive prowess with aggressive movement, enabling Shien users to close the distance with enemies while countering ranged attacks.
