CONTENT INFORMATION
Form IV: Ataru: The fourth lightsaber form, Ataru, also known as the aggression form is characterized by its almost exclusive focus on offense. It emphasizes speed, agility, and rapid overpowering of opponents to end fights quickly. It relied heavily on Force enhanced acrobatics, including leaps, somersaults, and jumping strikes, requiring considerable open space for optimal execution. It is a form one can learn easily but mastering it without giving into their aggression is the real skill of it. It is a form that also can benefit from a smaller frame. The longer the body the more spin you have but it also exposes more of you.
  • Hawk-Bat Swoop: Was intended to allow a combatant to quickly strike their opponent without giving them a chance to react. This technique, related to the Falling Leaf technique, utilized the Force to enhance speed and agility, enabling the practitioner to deliver a rapid, unexpected attack and escape before retaliation. It was particularly effective during the New Sith Wars, showcasing Ataru's focus on swift, offensive maneuvers.
  • Saber Swarm: Numerous short strikes were aimed at the adversary to force a defensive posture. Executed with particular skill by Ataru wielders, this technique involved a barrage of rapid, Force-enhanced lightsaber strikes, often too fast for the unaided eye to follow. Related to the Falling Leaf technique, it gained popularity during the New Sith Wars, emphasizing Ataru's aggressive, all-out offensive style.
