STRENGTHS
  • Dropship: Much like it's Republic counterpart, the Imperial U-Wing is capable of transporting a squad of up to eight heavily armed soldiers to and from the battlefield
  • Armored: The Imperial U-Wing is considerably well defended for a vessel of its size, as it possesses both heavy armor plating and numerous on board countermeasures
  • Electronic warfare: Though it is not specifically designed for it, the Imperial U-Wing does possess limited electronic warfare capabilities
  • Automated: To make flying the ship easier on the pilot, each Imperial U-Wing is equipped with an N&Z Neuron Mk I Quantum Droid Brain
WEAKNESSES
  • Armament: While it possesses a considerable amount of armament for its size, the Imperial U-Wing is arguably underarmed, boasting far less firepower than the Night Reaver
  • Sluggish: Even with the addition of SLAB and AIMS, the Imperial U-Wing is rather sluggish for a vessel of its size, unable to match the performance of more nimble starfighters
  • Door gunners: The Imperial U-Wing's Side Mounted Gun Emplacements can only be operated in atmosphere. Using them in a vacuum risks the safety of all those aboard the ship unless they are wearing dedicated life support suits
  • Vulnerable: Because it possesses am N&Z Neuron Mk I Quantum Droid Brain, it is possible to remotely "hack" the ship to reduce its ability to operate
DESCRIPTION

Following the success of the MIN Night Reaver and Mahporeem's failure to win Chi Chuchi Chi Chuchi 's Ship Design Contest due to political reasons, the Imperial Remnant was forced to revaluate the viability of producing the U-Wing Starfighter for its armed forces. Working in tandem with the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, the Imperial Remnant would eventually go on to create the "Imperial U-Wing", an upgraded yet affordable variant of the baseline UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft.

Much like the Night Reaver, the Imperial U-Wing boasts a number of upgrades that increases its combat effectiveness, including the addition of new engines, SLAB and AIMS subsystems, and electronic warfare countermeasures, giving the vessel an edge up on its closest rival, the Republic U-Wing. The Imperial U-Wing is still able to transport the same eight man squad that the original could, and also comes equipped with enough onboard storage to transport with it an NZ M7-350MM Multipurpose Launcher and its associated ammunition, two Environmental Suits and four Jetpacks.

The Imperial Remnant believes that the Imperial U-Wing will continue to be an attractive offer for a variety of different customer bases, including planetary defenses forces, corporate fleets and even private buyers. Nonetheless, only time will tell if the Imperial U-Wing will be able to compete with the Republic U-Wing, and whether or not two variants of the same ship can coexist in the galaxy, even one as large as the one the Imperial Remnant finds itself interacting with more each and every day...

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Small: The Imperial Airspeeder is a physically small target, making it more difficult to hit during combat
  • Nimble: Imperial Airspeeders are quite fast and maneuverable, allowing them to keep pace with other airspeeders and even starfighters
  • Shielded: All Imperial Airspeeders are equipped with deflector shields, to better allow them to defeat enemy starfighters in combat
  • Cheap: Though a capable combat craft, the Imperial Airspeeder is rather inexpensive to produce and maintain, making it an attractive option for credit strapped military and paramilitary forces
WEAKNESSES
  • Airspeeder: As its name implies, the Imperial Airspeeder is not a true starcraft or starfighter, and is completely unable to operate outside of a planet's atmosphere
  • Weak: The Imperial Airspeeder is rather lightly armed, sporting a pair of laser cannons and a rearward facing point defense laser cannon
  • Fragile: Though it is equipped with deflector shields, the Imperial Airspeeder is only lightly armored and unable to withstand more than a few glancing blows
  • Nimble: When moving at top speed, controlling the Imperial Airspeeder can be difficult for inexperienced pilots
DESCRIPTION

As the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant continues to ramp up its military presence around the Outer Rim, a need for inexpensive and affordable planetary defense assets has begun to develop, especially if Mahporeem intends to establish a more permanent presence on other worlds. In response, the Imperial Remnant has developed the so called "Imperial Airspeeder" with the technical assistance of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation.

Much like the T-47 Airspeeder of old, the Imperial Airspeeder is designed to be an inexpensive and compact ground attack airspeeder. As it name implies, the Imperial Airspeeder is NOT a starfighter, and is completely unable to escape a planet's atmosphere under its own power. That being said, the Imperial Airspeeder does have a relatively high flight ceiling, allowing it to engage anything within the upmost reaches of a planet's atmosphere.

Though lightly armed and armored, the Imperial Airspeeder is a rather fast and nimble craft, making it difficult for enemies to target it and destroy it. The Imperial Airspeeder is, furthermore, quite a small target, further increasing its likelihood of surviving combat with enemy starfighters and support craft. The Imperial Airspeeder is best used in swarm targets, which is it often able to do thanks to its low cost of acquisition and minimal operational requirements.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Burn, baby burn: The TIE Scorcher is well suited for removing forest cover and particularly heavy vegetation on planets where Mahporeenian forces might otherwise have trouble operating
  • Shielded: Each TIE Scorcher is equipped with NZ-SSP-SIXTUS/B Deflector Shields, increasing their overall survivability in combat
  • Fast: The TIE Scorcher is a rather quick moving starfighter, able to outrun or keep pace with most comparable and contemporary examples
  • Weapon of terror: The TIE Scorcher can have a potent psychological effect on enemy organic units, regardless of its actual effectiveness during combat operations
WEAKNESSES
  • Burn, baby burn: Because it is so specialized for ground operations, the TIE Scorcher is highly vulnerable to being destroyed by enemy starfighters
  • Danger close: Each TIE Scorcher must operate in close proximity to ground targets, increasing its risk of being damaged or destroyed by ground fire
  • Relatively slow: Though a rather quick moving and agile starfighter, the addition of two NZ RPER-800 Heavy Missile Launchers to the TIE Scorcher has somewhat reduced its overall performance
  • No hyperdrive: The TIE Scorcher does not come equipped with any hyperdrive system
DESCRIPTION

As the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant continues to expand its military operations across the galaxy, it had encountered a number of planets with heavily forested terrains, such as Mon Calamari, Brosi and Myrkr. Such planets have often proved difficult for Imperial Remnant forces to operate on due to large amounts of vegetation limiting movement and interfering with sensor scans. In response, the Imperial Remnant has developed the highly specialized TIE Scorcher.

Armed with two L-s9.3 Laser Cannons, twin Flame Cannons and a pair of NZ RPER-800 HEAVY Missile Launchers capable of firing NZ RP-3GMIM Guided Mass Incendiary Missiles, the TIE Scorcher is well suited for destroying large amounts of foliage, vegetation and tree cover, making it much easier for Imperial Remnant forces to operate on heavily forested worlds without being impeded in movement by copious amounts of plant life.

Of course, such a highly specialized starcraft remains highly vulnerable to being shot down by enemy starfighters, and to be most effective, the TIE Scorcher must operate in close proximity to its targets, greatly increasing its risk of being destroyed by ground defenses. Nonetheless, when used properly, the TIE Scorcher can be a potent psychological weapon of war against both plant cover and organic units.
