Skirmish Hunter Killer [Open to All]

He had been downloaded...rerouted per say into something else. The place felt...cramped, it felt as if there was almost not enough space to furfill most of his primary duties. It took him a while to respond, a lot of firewalls to break through but regardless, he had broken them with relative ease. With a small shimmer from the datapad, there was a crackling noise before it projected a holographic image upwards, making a small six inch figure appear. He looked...strangely like a cowboy, his hat and mannerisms were obvious of that but even his clothing, the strange belt with a revolver on the side...all indications.

"That took longer than expected...your datapad is rather outdated. I am Horando Hafey, Third Generation of the Hafey Linage of droids. I be rather asking the same thing considering the circumstances involved here...hold on, what is this?"

The information finally clocked into the weapons database, there was a swirling of symbols all around the figure as it turned to watch the amount of information flow through. There was several signatures unlocking as he was actually breaking into encryptions to adjust power level settings along with range limiters. There was a loud KaCLANK from below as the reactor was being pushed slightly due to being connected. Then he vanished from the datapad and was now about a foot and a half feet tall on top of the console as it was projected.

"Access to weapon systems...alright then, I see what you need!"

As they were moved, as soon as each weapon got into a line of sight, they opened fire in cannon-fire like fashion, all firing one after the other towards the Stormbringer. Each one flew by with vicious malice as the weapons, torpedos, everything they could have would attempt to pummel the star destroyer into submission. The Mass Drivers however seemed to be taking a different kind of role. Each one would fire with a rather precise precision, each one trying to strike at a weapons system, the Gravity Wells themselves or in one shots case of the twelve, nearly blow through the bridge with a visible shot flying near their viewport and grazing it!

As all this was going on, it was getting new signatures of starfighters and corvettes approaching. The loud whine would erupt from every section of the starship along with a lot of audible weapon lock signatures before every point missile defense system fired their payloads out towards the incoming drone starfighters. The loud bursts of Barrage Rockets came streaking forth, going towards their targets, a massive total of two hundred and twenty barrage missiles all fired at once. Strangely these missiles don't seem to be acting on the missile deactivator screen, each time it is hit to switch them off, they are turned back on!

Secretly, Horando was guiding each one with its hands out like an orchestra. He seemed to only do ten at a time as each finger moved a missile towards a particular direction to collide into a drone starfighter. One after the other, he kept trying to reduce their number more and more, it became a true test of patience and skilled shooting to eliminate as many missiles as he had at this moment, before it can reload! All the while, the Inderictor Cruiser was being hammered by the starship still with great accuracy but no longer pummeled by the percise shots from earlier. It seems the AI still has to direct some attention to get the shots he needed...he was currently worried about an annoying set of angry TIEs headed their way!

Kailani looked over to the weapons terminal, where a shimmering blue figure stood about 1.5 feet tall. He wore a cowboy hat, boots, and a belt with a revolver by his side. Certainly a cowboy. "Sir! Our weapons...their effectiveness has increased by 25 percent! This AI is amazing!" cried Lieutenant Commander Swreepi.

The commander nodded. The AI was indeed amazing. It was coordinating precise mass driver shots on the enemy cruiser, probably even piercing through its shields, though at this distance Kailani couldn't tell. Then, the sensor officer yelled, "Commander, multiple enemy fighters....hundreds! Coming right at us! We don't know from where!"

So the enemy had cloaked or otherwise stealthed ships. Kailani grimaced. He wasn't yet good enough to anticipate the Final Dawn's traps and tactics. Then again, he'd only studied holos, and holos were a lot different than real experience. He observed the tactical map. And realized the AI had stopped its mass driver attacks in favor of defense against the swarm.

He smiled. "Excellent job H.A.F.E.Y. Continue destroying the swarm. Our turbolasers will be sufficient against the enemy cruiser's shields."

Kailani really was proud of the AI. There was no point in an overly aggressive stance. If your ship had no defenses, it wouldn't be alive to deliver a counterattack. He opened a channel to the Frenzy anti-starfighter corvette. "Lieutenant, bring your ship off escort duty and into a close formation with my cruiser."

The lieutenant acknowledged the order and the corvette's engines flared to life and it hustled to the Peacemaker's side, firing at the incoming drones on its way. Kailani pulled up a report on the TIE Drones capabilities and started reading about its weaknesses. And its strengths.

“Bring us around so that our full firepower faces the Stormbringer! I want all our TIES to intercept their attempted strafing run now with our point defense guns! None of those starfighters will get through to cause major damage!” Alasdair ordered, voice holding a slightly strained edge to it as he did so.

“Sir! Our advanced ECM countermeasures have begun to engage…something…but the sensors, they cannot pick anything up!” One of his bridge officers reported. “Chaff, flares have automatically been deployed by the AI!”

“Have we been hacked? Why has our network intrusion AI not-” Alasdair did not get the chance to finish speaking before he watched seismic explosions ripple out in front and around the Tenacity, the ship’s extremely advanced ECM systems doing their work even against their enemy missiles ECCM due to their sheer sophistication unique to the Bulwark series of Star Destroyers. Were it any other type of Star Destroyer, the full barrage would have certainly hit the Tenacity. As it were, only roughly half of the missiles impacted the powerful, multilayered molecular shields of the capital ship, shaking the entire vessel as they did so.

“Some kind of stealth weapon!” Alasdair exclaimed, barely steadying himself against his command chair. “Missiles it looks like! Do we have any idea of where from?”

Thank God mother insisted on exceptional defensive measures first and foremost. Were this a regular run of the mill ISD, we would have been totally screwed in the first strike without any means of recourse!

“Not yet sir! We’re slowly trying to get a targeting solution but it’s difficult because a lot of the missiles were deflected or sent off course by our ECM systems. It will take a little while for us to figure out where they’ve come from!”

Another series of shockwaves hit the ship’s powerful shields, this time from the Stormbringer and its escorts opening up on the Tenacity as well.

Damn it all!

“Open full firepower on the Stormbringer! Ignore their engines and the frigate protecting it. Order the Allegiance to continue firing on it too! I want their shields down and their gravity well generators hit in the event we need to make a quick escape here! I also want our ECM systems working on full overdrive damn it to lessen the effect of those missiles! I want all the sensor decoys, chaff, flares, electronic tricks, and complete measures on full display! Anything to lessen those missiles!”

“Sir, yes sir!”

“Shields down to 30% sir!”

Just the opening barrage and they’ve taken down our shields by 70%, and that is with us being almost perfectly designed to withstand such an ambush and a lot of their missiles not being able to cope with our advanced systems. This would have slaughtered any other type of ISD. Thank God mother put an emphasis on survivability that most Imperials usually do not in favor of firepower.

“One more thing sir! They’ve deployed TIE drones, seemingly from nowhere! They’re heading towards the GA BAC!”

“Where exactly? Details man!”

“A few clicks beyond the Stormbringer!”

Ah…that’s where he must be hiding whatever trump card he has…we can’t pick it up directly on our sensors, but thanks to him deploying those drones…but the priority still remains the same. Keep hammering the Stormbringer and take down the gravity well generators as priority number one. I hope you can hold out Alliance commander, it's clear you don't trust me, and you are likely wise to do so, but I am rooting for you today!

TITAN SQUADRON
Additional Squadrons [Attack Run vs. The Tenacity]
As Titan Squadron began to close in on the LES Tenacity, they began to be slowly reinforced by additional Starfighter Squadrons scattered across the Galaxy, as numerous TIE Terminators and TIE Annihilators joined Baron Vonreg and his Squadron in their attack against the enemy star destroyer, their numbers growing ever larger even despite the loss of a few fighters and bombers along the way as they continued their approach and came under fire from enemy point-defense systems.

"Stay in Formation, it's not over yet." Vonreg cried out as his Starfighter group began to find themselves under heavy fire from the LES Tenacity's Point Defense Weaponry. "Crimson Leader, we got enemy fighters inbound" Titan Three cried out. "Look alive, Squadrons. Annihilators and Titan Squadron stay with me. Terminators, protect the Annihilators and punch a hole through their lines" the Crimson Baron ordered. Within just a few seconds, Vonreg's Starfighter Group would soon come into contact with their enemy counterparts with the TIE Terminators taking the lead ahead of the Crimson Baron and his Wingmen in order to divert the attention of the attacking TIE Fighters in order to give Titan Squadron and the TIE Annihilators a small opening to strike directly at the LES Tenacity

As the two starfighter groups clashed, Titan Squadron and it's accompanying group of TIE Annihilators pushed forwards even as they lost two bombers from enemy TIE Fighters on their approach. Soon enough, the sixteen starfighters would clear the main area of the ongoing dogfight between TIE Terminators and TIE Fighters beginning their final approach towards the LES Tenacity. Under heavy fire from the LES Tenacity's Point-Defense Batteries and with a group of TIE Fighters trying to cut them down from the rear, the group pressed forward with the Annihilators doing their best to hold the attacking TIEs with their own Point-Defense Canons.

"Alright, Squadron. Let's hit 'em where it hurts!" the Crimson Baron proclaimed as his Starfighter group would finally reach the LES Tenacity with Titan Squadron launching their first attack by firing volleys of Ion Torpedoes across the starboard side of the LES Tenacity followed by the surviving TIE Annihilators which began dropping numerous Proton Bombs upon the same area struck earlier by Titan Squadron in order to deal further damage to the Star Destroyer in addition to the ongoing missile barrage launched by the High Regent's Stealth Corvettes

What is this place?

There was a long silence. No answer...there was soon a rather uncomfortable silence before datastreams went haywire along Wilhelm Vonreg Wilhelm Vonreg starfighter, screening through data on the side as displays seem to act up. The radar then mimiced a power surge before a handprint became visible over it. I am somewhere cramped! I am somewhere...somewhere with power. There was a swift engine boost before it seemed to go to normal, as if stretching itself to learn the controls.

I know now. There was a distinct click and clatter as communications stream was starting to be filtered through, whatever was in the starship was attempting to get out! It tried to hone into an open communications channel, trying violently to get onto capital ship communication and was transferring a massive amount of data.

POV : MILLS BOWARD

After taking heavy hits from the attacking enemy forces, it would seem like that tides had shifted in the Final Dawn's favor, with Baron Vonreg charging against the Enemy Star Destroyer while the High Regent's Stealth Corvettes bombarded it with Stealth Seismic Missiles which dealt considerable damage to the Hostile Capital Ship, temporarily giving the Stormbringer some breathing room. Clearly the Battle was far from over and if the Final Dawn's Gamble had worked, they'd be able to gain the upper hand within just a few minutes.

Already, the Stormbringer had managed to reduce the damage inflicted by the enemy bombardment thanks to it's Laser-Killer Point Defense Systems, whose speed and precision was enough to intercept many shots from the energy-based weaponry of the attacking enemy warships although not enough to protect it against the missiles and other kinetic weapons that continued to deal damage against the ship.

"Status, report!" Boward shouted. "Our primary shields are down to 26%, another barrage is all that will take too..." the Defense Officer's words we're cut off as a kinetic projectile grazed past the bridge's viewport, causing it to slightly crack as a result of the near-impact. The bridge immediately went silent as they expected the cracks to grow and eventually cause the Glasteel to break, but fortunately the glass held, enabling them to resume their operations. With the enemy Heavy Cruiser bombarding them with impunity it was imperative that the Stormbringer destroyed the enemy Capital Ship in order to secure the Final Dawn's victory.

"All batteries, target the enemy Star Destroyer at Maximum Firepower. Concentrate all firepower towards the base of their bridge tower in an Alpha Strike. We must neutralize that Destroyer before that Heavy Cruiser can take us out" Boward ordered. Shortly afterwards, all the guns of the Stormbringer went silent minus it's Defense Weaponry, as they begin taking aim at the bridge tower of the Tenacity before executing a concentrated bombardment towards the Base of the Tower with it's Turbolasers and Assault Concussion Missiles in the hopes of rapidly burning through the Shields and decapitating the Capital Ship in one blow, with the High Regent and Baron Vonreg also attacking the Tenacity it would only a matter of time before the Ship was fully neutralized.

Starfighter Composition [Attacking the Peacemaker]

From the bridge of the lead Heavy Attack Corvette, Sularen watched as the first few Volley of Missiles struck the Enemy Star Destroyer overwhelming it's defensive systems as at least half of the Stealth Missiles launched by the six Stealth Corvettes hit their mark. "Enemy Shields down to 30 percent" one of the Sensor Officers cried out. "Good, at least this means our strategy is working." the High Regent remarked. "What's the status of the FDS Stormbringer?" the High Regent inquired. "Their Primary Shields are down to 26 percent, but their holding against the enemy bombardment." Another Sensor Officer stated. "Uh, sir" Sularen's attention was immediately diverted as Colonel Rackham handed him his datapad, his face showing some degree of concern regarding the current battle. "What's this?" Sularen asked.

"Apparently, the effectiveness of the primary weapons of the Alliance Heavy Cruiser has increase by 25 percent." Rackham explained. "Somehow they're dealing more damage and have more accuracy then when they initially joined the battle." he added. "Interesting." Sularen responded, somewhat intrigued at this development. "What's the status of our Ordinance Launchers?" He asked, turning to face the Senior Weapons Officer. "The Armament Duplicators is still duplicating the missiles, so far 55 percent of all necessary ordinance needed for another volley have been duplicated" the Officer responded. "That's good enough, our silence might confuse our foes and give us enough time to fire yet another barrage before they pin-point our location"

"What is the status of our TIE Droid Swarm and their attack on that Alliance Heavy Cruiser." Sularen asked once more. "It would seem that over 50 percent that our TIE Drones have been shot down by an enemy missile barrage." The Chief Flight Officer responded. "This must be a result of their sudden increase in weapon effectiveness." A Sularen said. "Hum...Keep an eye on that ship. Once we're done with that Star Destroyer, we're going to deal with that Heavy Cruiser and see what's going with their systems." The High Regent added. Something was up with that Alliance Heavy Cruiser and Sularen was quite interested in knowing what had caused this sudden increase in efficiency.

Thus, for now as he waited for his Heavy Corvette's Ordinance Launchers to be fully reloaded, the High Regent watched as the battle unfolded, ready to see how his subordinates handled this next stage of the battle against their combined Imperial-Alliance Foes. So far the battle was slowly shifting in their favor, although if the Final Dawn was to secure victory, they would have to keep the pressure on their foes and avoid making any tiny mistakes.

"Sir, enemy TIE swarm has lost fifty percent of its numbers!" cried Lieutenant Commander Swreepi in awe.

Kailani nodded. This AI named H.A.F.E.Y was amazing. "HAFEY, thank you for the assistance against the swarm. I believe the anti-starfighter corvette can handle the rest of them. I am more concerned with the enemy cruiser and how it is dissipating our turbolaser barrages. It must be a type of defense system I've never heard of. Please redirect your focus back to precise attacks with our mass drivers, aiming to take out their starboard weapons. Thank you. Also, have our X-wing squadron redirect itself to defend our allied frigate. It seems to be attracting some attention from enemy starfighters."

Truly, HAFEY was state-of-the-art. And it made Kailani question why more factions didn't have this system. Maybe he would take it back to GA Research so they could duplicate it. But for some reason, a feeling of...attachment was nagging at him? Weird. But still, Kailani figured it would be unethical to release the AI to the GA if it didn't want to go. He made up his mind to ask HAFEY what it wanted to do after the battle was over. Kailani owed the cowboy personality that much.

LES Allegiance: 100/100, 60/100.

LES Tenacity: 100/100, 18/100.

Limited TIE Fighters: 76/84

As the wave of proton bombs and missiles struck the strong shields of the Tenacity, it made the entire vessel shake for a moment, but thankfully the shields still continued to hold. Alasdair was already on the move, heading towards the secondary, reinforced command center lower in and protected by the heavy armor of the Bulwark-Class, giving orders as he went.

“Continue to swarm their elite fighters, prioritize using concussion missiles against their armor the moment their shields go down, do not waste the laser shots or power trying to hurt their armor with energy weapons. I also want thirty of our fighters on that elite squad in particular. They can’t keep this up outnumbered 6:1 even with their very best pilots and their energy resistant armor. Send the rest of our 46 TIES against their remaining clawcraft and annihilators, they won’t be able to do much more than dodge outnumbered. They get off their one lucky strike, it is over for them if they want to do more than launch the occasional proton bomb against us.”

“Shields at 20% sir!”

“Order the Allegiance to move forward to take the brunt of the fire from the Stormbringer, its escorts, and some of the enemy missiles, full power to shields and engines as well. They’re to execute a Frothing Cathar* maneuver against their gravity well generators, make sure to warn the crew to prepare for that. Have our Point Defense guns switch over to AI. Have the Tenacity focus all guns on shooting down the missiles being launched at us except for the concussion missiles which bypass their laser defense grid and still seem effective versus the Stormbringer, that should reduce the effectiveness of their missiles significantly combined with our ECM.”

“Sir, yes sir!”

The large amount of TIEs now finally closed around the Final Dawn bombers and their escorts, outnumbering them by a significant margin while being close to their level or equal in many regards. It would seem very difficult to pull off another effective bombing run or do anything more than fight back at this point for the Final Dawn strikecraft.

Meanwhile the LES Allegiance stopped firing, focusing all of its power on engines and shields, and shot forth in front of the Tenacity, taking the bulk of the fire from the Stormbringer and its escorts along with some of the missiles that the Tenacity’s lasers and point defense guns missed. It then continued hurtling toward the Stormbringer at full speed, seemingly aiming to ram it to bring down its shields, and possibly even collide with its gravity well generators directly.

Damn Sularen for making me considering doing what I think I must do. The next battle we have, his little technological tricks won’t save him, that I assure you.

How quickly it had all broken down, morphing into a battle that some might question the wisdom of fighting.

Nevertheless, when it came to puritanical, human-supremacist monsters the likes of the Final Dawn, the fight was worth it for Bella. She wondered what the chauvinistic pilots inside their black and red TIEs might think to know that a Togruta ace was on their six. Perhaps they would fight that much harder for the sake of pride. Or alternatively, they might lose their heads and make a fatal mistake. Regardless, Bella knew that it was probably better that they knew her only by her starfighter—a TIE/IE Interceptor—and the lance-like discharges of its fiery magenta beams, of which there were eight.

In terms of volume of fire, Bella had never had more firepower at her disposal at any point in her career before now.

Speeding towards an element of TIE Annihilators from below relative to their positions in space, Bella drew a bead on the craft at the rear of the pair before laying on the triggers of her beam cannons. Immediately, eight beams of searing magenta particles lanced out into space, crossing the distance between her interceptor and the bandit at the speed of light before striking her target’s shields. The enemy pilot quickly rolled his TIE into a break, but Bella had already compensated by activating her interceptor’s maneuvering jets as she passed. In doing so, she yawed her interceptor around to keep its nose pointed towards the bomber, while pulling a vertical flat-turn. A moment later, she fired again, this time striking the bomber in its ball turret, vaporizing the hapless gunner within, then the pilot thereafter. From there, Bella kicked the engines back to full power in order to chase after the other bomber. However, upon seeing its ball turret swiveling towards her direction, the Togruta dipped her interceptor’s nose and gave the SLAM a split-second tap, manifesting a brief, yet sudden burst of acceleration. It brought her directly beneath the fleeing bomber, at which point she pitched upward and unleashed her array of beam cannons into the craft’s underside.

It was just enough to kill.

The bomber detonated in an explosion of light and fire, at which point Bella realized that she had likely struck one of the bomb or missile bays, triggering a cascading wave of sympathetic detonations which had quickly consumed the craft in its entirety. Nevertheless, after pitching back down to level flight, Bella pulled a tight chandelle before speeding back towards the LES Tenacity. It didn’t take a trained eye for her to know that the ship was under heavy fire. On reflex, Bella set her course towards a volley of the large missiles which had been fired from the stealth ships in the area. Then, while keeping at a safe distance, she approached the missiles from behind and below before opening fire with a quartet of short, precise burns from her beam cannons, shooting down one, two, three, then four of the missiles before they could reach the Tenacity.

While small, Bella hoped that the effort would go a long way towards relieving the load on the Tenacity’s point-defense systems. However, the Togruta knew that more would be required to rout the Final Dawn from the battlespace.

CRIMSON LININGS
TITAN SQUADRON
Additional Squadrons [Attack Run vs. The Tenacity]

As Titan Squadron and the Eleven TIE Annihilators pulled away from the Enemy Star Destroyer after pulling off their bombing run, the group was suddenly attacked by a single Interceptor which managed to snipe out two Annihilators before they we're able to get out of effective range from the Star Destroyer's Point Defense Systems. "All right Squadron, let's move in for another attack." Vonreg said. As the group of fourteen Starfighters and Bombers moved around to launch yet another attack run, the sensor display of Vonreg's TIE Baron indicated new arrivals on the battlefield, dozens of enemy TIEs headed specifically towards the direction of his group of TIE Barons and Annihilators. "Crimson Leader, i got eyes on over two dozen bandits headed straight for us? Do we still go for the Star Destroyer." Titan One asked.

Vonreg took a quick scan of the battlefield surrounding him, taking note of the ongoing developments, right outside the enemy Star Destroyer a massive dogfight was raging between Final Dawn TIEs and the Empire of the Lost's own TIEs as both sides kept reinforcing one another in order to gain a significant advantage and secure absolute starfighter supremacy, which would be key to delivering deadlier strikes against the Capital Ships of either side. While the Final Dawn had taken more Starfighter losses then their Imperial and Alliance counterparts, the fact that over two dozen TIEs had been sent to deal with Titan Squadron and it's accompanying TIE Annihilators alone was enough to give their TIE Terminators a small edge over the enemy TIE Fighters.

As the dozens of TIEs further closed in on Titan Squadron and the TIE Annihilators it was imperative that Vonreg made a decision quickly, before Titan Squadron and the TIE Annihilators got annihilated by the combined firepower of their arsenal of missiles. "Titan Squadron, scatter immediately and activate your Cloaking Systems, we can't beat that Swarm of TIEs head-on, but they can't beat what they can't see." Vonreg ordered. "Annihilators, disengage from battle and return to the Stormbringer for repairs, until further notice. We can't afford any further losses" the Baron finished. As ordered, the group of TIE Barons and Annihilators split in two, with Titan Squadron quickly dispersing before activating their cloaking systems right as the enemy TIEs began to lock onto them while the Annihilators rushed towards one of the side-hangars of the Stormbringer to avoid the wrath of the enemy TIE swarm.

Now fully invisible from the enemy thanks to a combination of the visual cloaking abilities of their TIEs Phalkt Metal Hull and a vast array of advanced stealth Systems, the same combination that kept the High Regent's Heavy Attack Corvettes undetected even as they launched relentless attacks, Titan Squadron began launching attacks against the swarm of thirty TIE Fighters sent after them, with some of the TIE Barons deactivating their visual cloak for a few seconds to rapidly attack isolated TIE Fighters or small groups of them before rapidly reactivating their cloaking systems and disappear into the battle. While there was the risk of accidentally colliding with one another, the five pilots of Titan Squadron continued these relentless attacks hoping to rapidly dwindle down the number of attacking TIEs before they could regroup and launch another attack against the enemy Star Destroyer.

As Vonreg pursued a single TIE Fighter, his displays and controls started to go haywire causing his Cloaking Systems to deactivate and for his TIE Baron to automatically shunt all power to it's Engines and then start accelerating across the battlefield soon reaching and surpassing the TIE Fighter Vonreg had been pursuing earlier. As Vonreg struggled to regain control of his TIE Baron, he noticed a handprint on the Sensor Display as an open communication was created between his TIE Baron and Stormbringer. "Baron Vonreg?" the voice of Captain Boward said from the other side of the comms. "Do you need anything?" the Captain said. "No, i'm fine." the Baron said. "I'm just having some technical difficulties with my Fighter for some reason." he responded. "I'll redirect a Squadron to escort you back to the Stormbringer to fix the issue." the Captain said. "No, i'll regroup with the rest of Titan Squadron and they'll escort me back, keep the rest of the Squadron engaged with the enemy TIEs" Vonreg said. "Copy that." the Captain said.

As Vonreg ended the call with the Stormbringer he prepared to open a communication with the rest of Titan Squadron, who we're still carrying out rapid hit-and-run attacks against the enemy TIEs, only to realize that he had somehow regained control over his TIE Baron, as if the force causing the interference had vanished as soon as he contacted the Stormbringer. Almost immediately, the Sensor display of Vonreg's TIE Baron began to ping indicating that he was being chased by four enemy TIE Fighters, with the lead Fighter having a lock on him. As the lead TIE fired a single concussion missile towards his TIE Baron, Vonreg immediately activated his TIE's Warhead Countermeasures unleashing a Chaff burst from the rear of his TIE In order to confuse the concussion missile causing it to detonate prematurely.

With the threat temporarily neutralized, Vonreg quickly reactivated his cloaking system, resuming his hit-and-run style attacks against the enemy TIEs in the hopes of dwindling down their numbers. Hopefully Titan Squadron's attacks and the ongoing dogfight outside the Stormbringer would be sufficient enough to grant the Final Dawn absolute starfighter supremacy over the Imperials and the Alliance, which would in turn guarantee a decisive victory for the Final Dawn

The tide was beginning to shift.

Hoping to seize the initiative, Bella whipped her interceptor around before chasing after a lone TIE Annihilator—a straggler in the retreat. Without using her targeting computer (so as to avoid alerting the enemy pilot to her presence) Bella drew a bead on the fleeing bomber as she closed in on the craft from below, relative to their position in space. Then, placing her crosshairs over the bomber’s aft, the Togruta laid on the cannons, unleashing a veritable lightshow of eight energized particle beams into the void, which in total carried enough damage potential to feasibly destroy a corvette.

To say the least, a lone retreating bomber stood little chance.

The bomber was reduced to little more than floating slag as the eight beams tore through its hull, instantly vaporizing its crew. However, Bella had no opportunity to relish in her kill. Upon registering an enemy TIE closing into weapons’ range on her sensor readout, the Togruta threw her interceptor into a hard break in the same direction that the bandit was approaching her from, while pitching her nose upward. All the while, Bella caught a glimpse of the enemy starfighter in her viewport—a Clawcraft. It turned towards her, but the Togruta managed to slice her interceptor just beneath the incoming laser fire, leaving her craft untouched.

Now, she had the bandit trapped in a fight that she would always win.

Utilizing the maneuvering jets to whip her interceptor around in the yaw axis, Bella leveled her crosshairs on the Clawcraft’s rear and fired four of her cannons into its engines, unleashing a quartet of energized lances that popped open its shields in a flicker of light. She fired the other four beams a split-second after, which proceeded to rip and tear their way through the bandit’s hull, turning the Clawcraft into a slagged meteor as it hurled through space, before exploding moments later.

“Tally two more bandits.” Bella said as she pressed the engines to recover her speed. However, before she could say much more, the lock-threat warning system pinged, the insistent noise echoing within her montrals. Registering the danger, the Togruta immediately threw her interceptor into an evasive maneuver—a steep-angled diving slice turn which saw her craft removed from its current plane and into a new one. As she did, a barrage of laser fire streamed in towards the space her interceptor had occupied just moments before, which Bella immediately registered as it passed. However, more concerning was the fact that she had no apparent visual or sensor read on whatever had attacked her.

There could only be one conclusion.

“This is Miracle, I have a stealth bogey on me, stat!”
