  • EMP/Ion - The Parabrite/Dunalmite alloy paired with the Kirishima Cap Drains makes this vessel highly resistant to the effects of either energy, allowing it to shrug off attempts to shut down systems inside the ship and even transferring the energy to shield power.
  • Stealth Polymer - During the process of construction, the materials were doped with HPI's stealth polymer, and while the surface of the ship is still highly reflective, run of the mill scanners notably have difficulty picking up these ships at times.
  • Hull Integrity - The Ossis II framework gives the ship an incredible amount of integrity in regard to kinetic resistance such as ramming or even direct kinetic hits.
  • Turtle - While equipped with a spread of weapons, the systems are focused around screening threats to the fleet the vessel is attached to with some of the offensive weaponry serving as defensive weapons.

  • Variables - While the ship benefits from the VOId systems, in combat situations a direct strike to the engines will potentially damage the adjustable systems and either lock them into that system, or disable the unit.
  • Not Impossible - While the stealth polymer helps to avoid being found by passive scans or run of mill scanning systems, higher end scanner systems are able to find the ship with ease.
  • Built In - While the Ossis II frame provides many benefits, in field repairs are highly difficult due to the complexity of the internal framework.
  • Limited Weapons - The ship does have some offensive weapons on board, but it was designed around anti-starfighter and anti-ordinance protocols meaning it has limited capabilities in a fight by itself.

The Radiant Aegis-class frigate is a robust and dependable escort warship conceived by High Republic engineers to serve as the fleet’s shield against nimble threats and missile salvos. Designed with formality and function in mind, this frigate combines aesthetic elegance with the rugged practicality of wartime necessity. Shaped with graceful but firm lines, the Radiant Aegis features a sturdy hull with layered armor plating and internal reinforcement, allowing it to endure concentrated barrages without compromising structural integrity. While its silhouette is bulkier than most vessels, it retains a refined design language through subtle curves, silvered paneling, and golden accent lines across its flanks.

Built to counter waves of enemy starfighters and missile attacks, the ship’s weaponry is both diverse and efficient; laser cannon turrets and ion cannons for smaller targets, a select few turbolaser batteries for mid-sized targets, and missile launchers for intercepting incoming ordnance or launching counter-assaults. Featuring a modest hangar bay beneath its reinforced central hull which supports a squadron of starfighters that offer supplementary coverage and flexibility during fleet engagements. The hangar is designed with rapid deployment in mind, supported by an internal tractor beam system and recovery cranes for swift turnaround.

The Radiant Aegis is cumbersome to maneuver due to its reinforced frame and broad structure, yet it maintains a respectable cruising speed, ensuring it can keep pace with larger capital ships and can respond quickly to shifts in battle formations.

All this in mind, the Radiant Aegis-class frigate stands as a beacon of defense—unyielding in its role, noble in its construction, and loyal to the protection of peace.
