ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Strengths:
  • Offense: Different situations call for different solutions, and the Fortan-class has a variety of weapons in which to respond to different combat situations.
  • Defense: The corvette has a number of shields, hull-layers and other defensive measures to keep it in the fight longer.
Weaknesses:
  • Weapons Locked: When SLAM is activated weapons are locked, allowing the ship to focus its energy on speed - enabling the corvette to escape whatever dangers may surround it.
  • Stealth Mode: While engaged in stealth mode it is unable to fire any weapons.
  • Hangar: Would-be saboteurs and enemies, may find that boarding through the hangar may be most advantageous. It also serves as a blind spot for the corvette and has little in the way of defensive armament around this section of the vessel.
Description:
A return of an old First Order staple, the Fortan Heavy Corvette. This time as a semi-unique variant of the Rasoka IV. The Raskovas which were based on the Fortan before the ship line had been discontinued by Primo Victorian. The Mark IV, Fortan-class Heavy Corvette is back with new armament and defensive systems. A mini-carrier as it carries a single squadron of starfighters allowing the ship to pop in for quick support when necessary. Equipped with a SubLight Acceleration Motor, the ship can at the cost of its maneuverability increase its overall speed.

Stealth management suites, allows the Fortan-class ship to conduct sweeps for information without being immediately noticed. The corvette returns to its roots with a new ‘Intelligence’ suite. The ship includes features that are normally seen on larger capital vessels, these features have been downsized for the corvette but will serve to extend the life of the ship.

Overall, the new Fortan-class Heavy Corvette is most certainly a welcome addition to any fleet, but for Primo Victoria the ship incorporates new and old technologies, while moving forward.
