SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A compound highly resistant to ion/emp attacks.
  • Utilizes the strengths of reinforced duraplast.
  • Neutronium center for ultra-dispersive characteristics.
  • Uses crystadurium to disperse heat.
  • Agrinium is present to aid in the handling of electromagnetic radiation.
Strengths:
  • Ion/EMP: Reinforced duraplast is a key part of the compound, allowing for very high resistance to ion/emp attacks. The added components of crystadurium for heat dispersion and a neutronium core for its ultra-dispersive characteristics. Allows for crystaplast to take on a great deal of ion/emp energy before it gets to vulnerable starship components.
Weaknesses:
  • Turbolasers: While the compound is made to handle high heat even from blasters. Turbolasers being the scaled-up blasters that they are, are able to penetrate through the compound. For this reason, it is not recommended to use the compound alone while constructing starships, most especially capital ships, and to always have a secondary layer of hull liner to help offset the compound's weakness.
DESCRIPTION
Created after the Sith Empire's defeat of heretics over Csilla, crystaplast was developed as a way to help absorb or withstand ion/emp attacks. A vulnerability that many of Fiolette Raaf's Primo Victorian ships held. Crystaplast consisted of a 'cage' outer layer that was crafted from reinforced duraplast impregnated with agrinium. Followed by a layer of the brass colored woven reinforced duraplast and crystadurium, or crystaplast. Beneath that a layer of reinforced duraplast, and a layer of crystadurium and then the neutronium center, before the process was replicated again. This resulted in the neutronium center being sandwiched in between equal layers of the cage, crystaplast, reinforced duraplast and the crystadurium. This layering process was done to ensure that the compound could hold up to ion heavy battles as a liner in place of straight reinforced duraplast.

Reinforced duraplast is highly resistant to ion/emp attacks, while agrinium highly resistant to all forms of radiation aids in the handling of electromagnetic radiation. Crystaplast, the woven reinforced duraplast, and crystadurium works to not only provide an additional layer of ion/emp resistance as well as heat resistance. Crystadurium works to mostly help with the dispersion of heat, and the neutronium core aids in the overall dispersion of energy from ion/emp attacks.
