- Imperfect Stealth - While not as comprehensive or reliable as more advanced systems, the Skuggalegt polymer on the hull and the TibannaX isotope used by its engines affords the Glorificent a very limited, imperfect degree of stealth, making the craft potentially harder to detect in dark conditions and giving it a smaller sensor profile.
- Agile - Named after a dancer who lived during the period of the Cold War between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, the Glorificent is as agile and graceful in motion as her namesake. It can win almost any turning fight and makes most snubfighters seem like lumbering star destroyers in comparison. In addition, the Glorificent’s tiny frame allows it to fly in tight environments that other craft might be incapable of entering. It goes without saying that the Glorificient is at home in condensed asteroid fields or similarly hazardous environments.
- Speedster - The Glorificent is an extremely fast craft. Given its speed and tiny frame, hitting the craft is sometimes comparable to attempting to hit a wasp with a bullet from a pistol.
- Electronic Warfare - In lieu of armor and shields, the Glorificent is equipped with a electronic warfare suite that gives it an extra option against guided ordnance, in addition to sensor jamming capabilities.
- Slippery - Equipped with a FAE/C-01 Multiphase Tensor Element, the Glorificent can resist predator interdiction fields and tractor beams to a very convincing degree. For a small fighter pod which depends on its speed and agility for survival, the ability to counter technologies capable of slowing it down was considered to be paramount.
- Fire Concentration - Correcting the disadvantages of twinned weaponry pertaining to concentration of fire at certain ranges, the Glorificent utilizes a computer brain-governed fire concentration system that executes minute on-the-fly adjustments to the angle of the craft’s fixed-forward weaponry, based on constant feedback from pilot input and targeting data. In effect, this system dynamically optimizes pattern harmonization at all viable ranges, affording its weapons greater accuracy.
- Low Armament - The Glorificent’s light beam cannons lend it just enough firepower to engage a typical snubfighter or medium-sized vehicle. Against anything larger or more heavily-defended, its guns are likely to be outmatched.
- SLAM - Usage of the Glorificent’s SLAM comes at the expense of its weapons. In addition, extended use of the system will drain power faster than it can be replenished, forcing the pilot to divert power from other systems, such as ECM, in order to maintain it over long periods. The SLAM will also nullify most of the Glorificent’s stealth capabilities.
- Fragile Speedster - Make no mistake, the Glorificent is a tiny craft, even by single-seat snubfighter standards. Since the craft lacks shields or armor, its small size makes it effectively a nigh-guaranteed one-shot kill or disable if struck by a bolt from a vehicle-grade laser cannon. In theory, infantry-grade small arms fire is effective against the Glorificent as well, though hitting the craft is another matter.
- Area of Effect - A tiny, fast craft, the best way to engage the Glorificent is through area of effect attacks, typically from cluster bombs or missiles with a particularly large blast radius. The Glorificent’s lack of shields and armor might render it extremely vulnerable to these weapons and others like it. In essence, you might not manage to kill a wasp with a bullet from a pistol, but a flamethrower will perform beyond expectations.
- Mechu-deru - Often an unspoken weakness of complicated and advanced technologies, the Glorificent is vulnerable to the dark sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts can quickly disable it, provided that they have a direct line of sight to the craft.
- EMP / Ion Disruption - As a craft that depends on a suite of complicated electronics to ensure optimal performance, EMP and/or Ion-based attacks can hamper the combat capability of the Glorificent, the severity of which depends on the power quotient and proximity of the discharge to the craft.
The FAE/SFP-01 "Glorificent" Fighter Pod began life as a prototype, before being realized as a full-production craft. Considered to be a "pod" type craft due to its extremely small frame, the FAE/SFP sits in a class of its own, along with the ancient ISP-6 Imperial Shuttle Pod, as the smallest of small ships. It is smaller than most civilian groundcars, yet is capable of venturing deep into space and engaging most starfighters or medium-sized vehicles.
Given the Glorificent's small size, the pilot flies the craft in a semi-prone position. Unfortunately, they can be no taller than 1.88 meters, with smaller individuals being the most ideal and comfortable. This was one of the reasons why Bella was chosen as the primary test pilot of the Glorificent's development program. Naturally, passengers are out of the question, unless both pilot and passenger are especially diminutive in stature. Two Bimms might fit inside, though it would be an awkward, uncomfortable fit.
As an fighter pod, the Glorificent's capabilities are geared towards harassment and interception. Being small, fast, agile, and possessing a moderate degree of stealth, it goes without saying that the craft is a slippery, frustrating target. In testing, Bella noted that because of the Glorificent's small size and extreme maneuverability, flying the craft was comparable to making the transition from flying corvettes to piloting conventionally-sized starfighters, though in this case, she transitioned from flying conventionally-sized starfighters to a craft classified as a starfighter pod. Nevertheless, in spite of the learning curve, the Glorificent's designers and test pilots maintain optimism for the the craft's sales and performance in the field, even though the concept behind it is somewhat unproven. Should the design prove successful, a mass-produced variant is planned.
