Graveyard.

It was
a planet unlike any other. A Dark Force Nexus, surrounded by an asteroid field that was part rock and part space debris from ships that never made it out. Most never made it out. More evidence lay in scattered ruins across the planet's surface. That was what gave Graveyard it's name.

But there was also another reason....

Fragmented colonies dotted the landscape, some more primative than others. And although their cultures were different, by nightfall they all shared a common purpose.

To survive.

In the night was when they would come. In the night was when they would hunt. In the night was when they would destroy any means of escape.

Like clockwork some of the colonies practiced their routines to protect their people. Buildings were boarded up, lights were extinguished, the streets behind the large stone walls were empty. Snipers stood their silent vigil within towers, keeping watch both to the skies above for more unfortunate ships that would fall victim to the planet's unusual trait, and to the ground below for them.

For years it had been this way. For years the pattern had hardly varied. That is until now. The activities of them had changed, altered in such a way that led the colonies to believe that they were up to something. The threat that they had posed was rekindled anew.

And like a plague they needed to be stopped.

An old Arkanian woman stood on one of the walls overlooking a valley. The wind gently whipped whisps of her long white hair as though they were water. Her robes kept her small frame protected from the cool temperatures. Behind her the colony was bustling with activity. The sun was still up, so for the most part they went through their day-to-day carefree. Everybody had their part to play. Everybody had their roles and their tasks.

It wasn't often that the old woman ventured to the top of the wall, however today was one of those days. Her eyes squinted in the light of the sky, searching it for something that only her gut instinct could explain.

"Mother Fey'drah. What brings you up here today?" A robust human male inquired. He was bigger in stature than the old woman, appearing half her age. His armour looked as though it had seen many battles with dents and scratches all over it. Yet it held up well for him.

"For two reasons, Tobias. One has yet to present itself, while the other is to see you. Any word from our friends across the mountains?"

"None yet, Mother Fey'drah. The sun has merely been up an hour. We will keep trying until we hear something. It is unlike you to be impatient."

"I fear the clock is ticking, Tobias. And there is more trouble on the way."

"What kind of trouble? Is it them?"

"Yes and no, Tobias. Yes and no."

Tobias turned his gaze not to that of the sky, but to the valley below. He hated it when Mother Fey'drah got all cryptic. But she was the Guardian Mother, protecting them all and healing them with her powers like an Elder should. Her lifespan surpassed most others and it was her wisdom that guided their colony's survival. He was most certain that she was talking about them. Afterall, they caused more death and destruction than anything else on Graveyard. Even moreso than the zombies.

A sonic boom was heard up in the distant sky, which drew the attention of many pairs of eyes. It was quickly followed by more, as well as flashes of light. All of that could only mean one thing. Ships were losing their battle with Graveyard's effects. Ships were being pulled into the atmosphere. Graveyard was claiming more victims...

OOC: Welcome to a horror mystery! 'Tis the season afterall! The starting premise is simple, with ships unable to escape the planet's effects, which causes them to crash near the colony. Characters must reach the colony before nightfall and help Mother Fey'drah stop whatever they are up to.

Who are they you might ask? That'll be revealed in time! Rewards for participation tier up with each page completed!

Link for the planet is at the start, which gives you a bit of history on it! And no, this isn't yet another zombie thread :p Feel free to jump in!

TJ, The Star Warrior had been flying his star ship, and while his ship still worked, uneffected by the effects of the planet he still entered it's atmosphere. He and his college, Venessa-Void Kenobi, The Void Force Witch, were searching for a relic known as the Void kyber crystal. All signs said it was on Graveyard. They land near the colony, after all they needed to be somewhere safe. Venessa-Void locked the ship making it impossible to break or enter unless your her. The 2 Rouge Padawans, as the Jedi Council called them, walked into the colony

The ship had crashed on some unknown world, pulled in as if the Force was forcing her to an event that she had no idea of how to fathom or predict. Dreidi sighed as she checked herself from the less than perfect landing of the ship she was on. There was little point talking to the pilot, he wouldn't understand the reasons they were forced to this world. No, Dreidi would need to investigate on her own and she would attempt to solve the issue so she could leave because being stuck was not her idea of a good time. Tying her hair up and checking that her Lightsaber was still clipped to her belt underneath her jacket, Dreidi sighed in relief since everything seemed fine. Stepping out of the ship, she got her first real look at the environment around her and how the situation looked, she breathed in deeply and crossed her arms. Which direction should she travel in. Could take some time since she couldn't really see any signs of life around. At least nothing that seemed obvious to her.

She had to let the Force guide her on this one. There was going to be a something that brought her here and she just had to have trust in the Force. One with the Force and all that jazz. Wandering for a few hours, Dreidi was glad for the warmth of her cloak as she wandered. Her Jedi garbs would have left her freezing and this way she also didn't look so obviously Jedi as well, it avoided a lot of questions, attitude from some and demands from others. No, she was just a simple traveller and that was all she would pose to be, concealing her connection to the Force and ensuring that no one will sense her either. This was an unknown world with unknown threats and advertising a connection to the Force did not seem like a smart idea.

Reaching a small colony of people, Dreidi looked around and nodded her head before asking to speak to the leader of this colony. She was directed to a woman called Guardian Mother, or Mother Fey. It was a curious title but no different to Jedi Master, Sith Lord or Nightmother, she supposed. Wandering in the direction towards the location of the Guardian Mother, Dreidi entered a building and knocked on the door firmly. "Mother Fey, I was told to see you as leader of this colony? I am an offworlder and got trapped here, wondering if you could help me find a way off this planet?"

Grand Shepherd Burtch

Fleet Commander For The Nomadic Peoples Coalition

Location: in orbit over Graveyard,
Ship: The Lady Shii-Cho

Divider12.png

“No sir. We still can’t get fire control back online, but guns crews are still able to operate in local control” the chief gunnery officer said.

“So no change then.” Grand Shepherd Burtch simply surmised with the answer to the question he had just asked.

“Sorry, sir. It’s like she’s… sick. I can’t explain it.” Confused frustration showed on the man’s face.

Burtch nodded in total understanding, but did not validate the man’s speculation aloud. Through his holy bond with Shii-Cho, he could feel how sick she was, even if he couldn’t hear her voice still. The moment they had entered the system, her electronics systems had all but totally failed. It seemed to be a mere miracle that she was able to stay in orbit. The planet Graveyard had a strange, yet well-known adverse effect on ships that entered the system. It was believed to have something to do with the dark side force nexus that shrouded the whole planet, but sometimes ships were known to come and go as they pleased. There was something of a Stygian economy here, so some ships had to be able to survive the journey. Getting information from the fringe captains of those ships had been like pulling teeth, however, since the ability to come and go from the world gave those merchants an exclusive edge in the Stygian market. For anyone else, the trip would be considered a disastrous waste at best.

But the Holy Prophets Willow & Ivy had seen Angels in the system; “Wounded creatures” that needed to be rescued, mended, and rehabilitated. Burtch and his Shii-Cho were not ones to ask others to do something that they themselves were not willing to do, so Burtch had opted to handle this himself.

His ship, now crippled, still had power, but all operational programs and computers had been rendered all but useless. Only the main CPU, which contained the ship’s Angel Navis Operating System seemed to be functional. But there was only so much that one CPU could handle without the sub-system control systems to aid it. The soul of Treyfa, who had been given to Shii-Cho to give her life, had such intimate knowledge of her systems that she had just barely managed to restore enough flight control systems to keep them all from getting pulled into the atmosphere. Then, through the sheer will and guile of old-time spacers on the ship, “analogue” means of space flight had been supplemented to put the star destroyer into a somewhat stable orbit. Otherwise, restoring more demanding, high processing systems like targeting, high-end sensor packages, long range comms and other things had been a serious nightmare that had yet to show substantial results.

The crew had stepped up to the best of their ability. Keepers and crew pulled double duty, practicing ancient analog methods of space travel that were outdated by millennia. Navigators haphazardly drew up basic star charts and used visual references to maintain a safe orbit. Keepers cannibalized redundant sensor suites to try and get minimal functionality from just one grid. Fire Control was totally out, but gunnery crews switched to local, manual control for albeit reduced effective range, but at least they weren’t defenceless.

And they had only one functional long range Commlink on the whole karking ship…

Burtch turned to an enlisted crewman and gave an order, “Since ship-wide communications are still out, send a runner to summon Kalic Daws Kalic Daws and bring him here. Him and Starcrest may be our ticket out of this forsaken system…”

Every planet had a different version of the saying, but they all had the same essential message: practice made perfect. Conveniently, none of those sayings mentioned how expensive practice could be, or how difficult it was to fit into the schedule. Somehow though, Audren had finally gotten some time away to do so. The only way he'd been able to schedule it was by triple-booking: he was also testing a design for the company and scouting through an area of space for the RTL. Instinctive astrogation didn't come naturally to him; when he was traveling in hyperspace he was typically on a tight schedule and couldn't afford the possibility of mistakes taking him too far out of the way or damaging some part or another. Even this early in his learning it was clear that his skills would never equal those of the Tillian family, but theirs was a natural ability enhanced by practice and his was a learned one.

This situation was a perfect example of why he didn't do this on business trips. Whilst in transit there had been what he could only describe as a ripple, and he'd hesitated a microsecond too long in responding. His craft had abruptly been yanked from hyperspace into a binary star system that also contained a black hole. The ship had taken a huge burst of some kind of radiation and had mostly shut down. Momentum from the hyperspace drop had him hurtling further in-system but mercifully clear of any immediate threat. His fledgling damage control had been sufficient to bring basic systems online, including the comm system. Unfortunately the navicomp, let alone the hyperdrive, was beyond him. By the time it was under control, the ship was approaching a planet. A breathable atmosphere was highly preferable to the potential vacuum of space if something else went wrong, so he headed in.

The damage had either been more intensive than originally thought, or his repairs less than sufficient. Or both. Probably both. The result could only be considered a landing in the most general sense: there was no way this ship would be lifting off unassisted. Some time after the landing, the Sephi regained consciousness and fumbled his way through the vessel. This place didn't feel right...the Force carried that sense quite clearly. It reminded him of Midvinter for some reason. He would trust his instincts: in addition to his robes he pulled on a segmented breastplate. His lightsaber hung on one side of the utility belt while a pistol was holstered on the other, and a rifle was on across his back beside a survival bag. Finally, a dagger was sheathed to one of his boots. Only then did he make his way out of the ship and onto the planet's surface to look around.

In the distance Audren could see what appeared to be a walled settlement. It was the only sign of civilization around, so he took bearings and headed in that direction. Nightfall was only a few hours away but he should be able to make it before then.

Being a scrapper herself, places like these attracted the Sangir like a fat kid to a candy store... Imagine the credits! All her's of course, sharing was pretty lame, and the only thing worth dishing out to those who deserved it on Nal Hutta was a bullet. Taking a stolen... Ahem, borrowed cargo ship, her sights had been set on this sector for a while now. Ghost stories of all sorts had been told about this place, how it had the tendency to pull you in or make you go insane. That all had to be pure chit right? Even if it wasn't, what was a graveyard to a being such as herself other than a home?

The ship's alert had went off, causing Jackal to spur into action. Music was turned off and within moments it was clear that this ship was going to get sucked into the graveyard just as the others.

Well chit...

Using maneuvers she did know, Jackal is able to get a very rough landing. Explosions and fire come from the craft as it scrapped violently against the ground, Jackal herself suffering wounds from the crash landing, a small chunk of durasteel stabbed into her arm.

"Knew I should have just stolen another craft... Wait didn't I have scrap still in the back?!"

She asks, more concerned about the potential credits rather than her arm. Jackal turns her head, looking behind to see that the ass end of the craft had been ground into junk all around the area... Only really leaving the cockpit to be the only section that didn't get messed up beyond repair. If things had gone just a tad worse, if she had failed to stick the landing... The cold embrace of death would have clutched her tightly.

"MY MONEY!"

Jackal hops out of her seat, taking a better look at all the damage that had been done, blackened blood still dripping down her arm.

"Fffffff-"

In a fit of rage she kicks in the wall of the ship, actually causing a fairly sized dent, moments later only taking note of the pain in her arm. Crudely she yanks the metal out and tosses it aside, her unearthly regeneration taking effect instantly as the wound started to patch up by itself.

Pistol in hand, she sighs deeply before adjusting her goggles...

"Good for nothing piece of junk."

Jasper slammed his mechanical hand against the dashboard of his X-Wing. There was nothing like a simple mission going south. He had just finished clearing out some pirates and was on his way back to Coruscant. Something had pulled him out of hyperspace, however, something he didn't quite understand. Worse yet, he seemed incapable of taking off. There was no use in sticking around. Distant lights cast by a nearby wall suggested a settlement of sorts. There was something off about this place. Dark, even. Jasper got the sense that he had aught to make his way to this settlement before dark fell. He set off, rather reluctantly, first making sure to help his astromech, Blip, out of the downed vessel.

"Alright, buddy," Jasper sighed, "We gotta go."

"Woop."

Picking up the BB unit, the padawan set off towards the walled settlement. As he made his way there, he caught sight of a Sephi man, force sensitive from sense alone, but not a Jedi he recognized from the NJO. A silver, perhaps? Still, the man's presence was light, suggesting he wasn't a threat. It was better than figuring all of this out alone.

"Hey!" Jasper called to the stranger, incapable of waving due to the droid in his arms. "Did you get pulled down too?"

"That landing was not ideal." was Lukas' highly intelligent take away from his current prediciment. All he had wished for was a outing to a new far away planet, maybe meeting someone new or finding something interesting. Instead? He had found himself plummeting, or being pulled, he hadn't quite decided on what had happened yet, towards the ground, before smashing into the ground at speed. "What fun.." he muttered to himself angrily as he disembarked the ship, which thankfully was not his own.

The ship may not have made it in one piece, but somewhat shockingly Lukas seemed to have done so, and he was quite confident in not loosing anything in the crash, which was always a bonus. While he had no clue what you were meant to do in this situation, he could make out the lights of what seems to be a settlement, which would be as good a place as any to start from.

The Acolyte wasn't sure whether it was the planet or the situation that unsettled him, but he was growing increasingly more and more uncomfortable the more he lingered around the wreck of the ship. He made his way off towards the settlement, muttering an incomprehensible stream of insults towards both the planet and his ship. Just his luck to have crashed it on one of the few times he'd attempted some kind of independent travelling. A complete lack of survival skills was amongst the least of Lukas' concerns as he continued his track, his frustration having subsided somewhat, leaving him just a generally foul mood.

The stew was delicious today. So much so that Fey'drah savoured every bite. Not even a morsel of it dribbled down her chin. No, the old Arkanian didn't allow for any of the stew to escape.

It was while she was eating that Dreidi Xeraic Dreidi Xeraic had walked into her house beyond the wall. She glanced up from her bowl, set down her spoon and wiped the corners of her mouth with a hankerchief. With a bit of a huff she sat back in her chair, eyeing the young woman up and down with a calculating gaze. "I am she. And you're lucky that you've come before dark. Are there others with you? I saw the lights from other ships..." A quick shake of the head as a thought passed through her mind and Fey'drah had rejected it outright. "Graveyard claims many victims. What is your name, child? Where do you hail from?"

Tobias kept watch on the wall. With binoculars he followed the trails of the other ships as they fell, making mental notes of their proximity to both the colony and beyond. He calculated the estimated time it would take for the offworlders to make it before dark. That is if they chose to go this way.

"Should we go out and meet them, Tobias?"

"No, not yet. Just because they fell here, doesn't mean they are our friends. Keep an observant eye upon them. Any stragglers that don't make it will appease them for a little while."

And that they did. As the sun slowly crept downwards towards the horizon, they all watched. First Audren Sykes Audren Sykes appeared, followed by Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el . Whether anyone had survived the crash in Adeline Noctua Adeline Noctua 's ship, they weren't sure just yet.

The dark figure of Lukas grew larger as he got closer and for the moment, Tobias had thought that he was one of them , but the way that he moved proved different. "Inform Mother Fey'drah. We've got more on the way."

"Do you think either of them have seen beyond the mountains?"

"We'll find out soon enough..."

You know what was good for sour moods? Jackal! Well.. No she was the pure opposite, and unluckily for the grumpy Sith, his scent had picked up on the wind. Seeing as her very legally acquired craft had blown up, might as well go see who it was right?

As the pair of crimson eyes peer past a treeline, they spot a person making their way towards some settlement off in the distance. Towns meant two things, food, and a new ship to borrow!

Seems this idiot had crashed as well, they didn't look heavily built at all... Perhaps she could get some food right now? Yet just as she was about to pull out her rifle her eyes spotted what looked to be sabers on their hips.. And while she did have just the thing for that, perhaps having another set of eyes could help.

And so with the rifle now put away, she emerges from the woodline.

"Hey! Did you crash as well? Hm you don't look like uhh the hell are they called? The wizards that snatch kids.. Jedi ya.. Waiiit I know what you are! A Sith! I have met your kind before, always so sour, you the same kiddo?"

The Sangir asks with a smug look, moonlight reflecting off her extended canines as Jackal gave the boy a toothy grin.

While Lukas had been having his small strop, he had been solely paying attention to the ahead settlement, blissfully unaware to whatever was happening around him. However, a sudden "Hey!" brought him out of this tunnel vision, causing him to visibly jump from the suprise.

The Acolyte turned quickly to face the new voice, his left hand having moved quickly to rest on his saber hilt. After a moment, he breathed a sigh of relief, having been unable to notice any weapon pointing at him. He listened to the Sangir speak, taking a moment to think before giving his answer. Maybe he was an idiot to trust so quickly, but he was stranded and this person could potentially be a ride off of this planet, so it was worth the risk. "Yeah, I am, but I don't think I'm sour. I'm just a bit annoyed my ship crashed." He pulled his mask off from his head with a sigh, stuffing it into a pouch.

Lukas turned back towards the settlement, making his way once again, slightly slower than he previously had been. "Talk while we walk, I'd like to get that place quickly. I'm Lukas by the way." He finished, briefly glancing over his shoulder to check if she was following.

She raises a brow, clearly surprised.

"Well, not as sour as I thought. My name's-"

They become lost in thought, seeming to really try to remember something... Had she forgotten whatever name she had before? Memories seemed to be locked tightly behind some fog, only scraps being recognizable.

"You can just call me Jackal, my ship went down as well... Along with my scrap I had collected."

As he looks behind to check, the strange woman would be a lot closer than expected. Seems she could keep up easy enough, despite the wound in her arm.

"Soooo did some wizards snatch you as well? You don't look very old to me, you some sort of trainee or something like that?"

Jackal hums along as they go, guns clanking against the metal bits of her gear as she went. All the while she still was trying to remember her past life, everything was a blur, not thanks to some damage, but thanks to how little Jackal thought about it. She remembers them all, everything that happened and how she got revenge. A little smirk forms as she taps a clawed finger against her pistol, tapping along in a beat to match the hum.

The mighty warship Bellum Canis emerged from hyper space without so much of a rumble as the strange planet began to work its dark magic, however the ships captain was made different it may have been due to that he was made with the aid of Sith alchemy and as a result that sort of thing leaves a stain on one's soul and that fact alone may have been why his ship was able to weather the sudden onslaught of interference with out much trouble aside from short range comms being knocked out along with point defense turrets, long range scanners and the hyperdrive no longer working, this irked Ira as when each of these systems when offline it felt like a piece of him had gone with them. On the bright side however just before the long range scanners when off line they picked up at least one friendly ship that Ira knew.

"This is captain Ira of the Bellum Canis hailing Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch , It's nice to see a friendly face out here" Ira hailed

The Sephi didn't find it difficult to move in this terrain. After all, he'd grown up in a forest and had visited any number of planets since leaving his homeworld. Beyond that though, he was in tune with the Force. Even as he reinforced his mental defenses against the pervading darkness he allowed the Force to flow through him. He provided direction but it guided his steps. The serpent's pit was sidestepped, the dripping toxins were dodged, the small bog was bypassed. In so avoiding these obstacles he found himself in sight of another traveler, this one holding a droid and also apparently heading towards the settlement.

Audren didn't say anything until hailed. In most cases he was a 'live and let live' sort of guy, and this fellow didn't seem to be harming anything. After a few minutes the other caught sight of him and shouted out. There was the general sense that he would have been waving both arms as well had he not been carrying the droid. It was very tempting to answer the question with the obvious: that he was standing on his own feet and not on the ground, but he understood the actual meaning to be whether his ship had been pulled into the planet. Once they were close enough to not shout he gave his answer.

"Pulled out of hyperspace, but when I decided to land some repairs failed and the ship couldn't take the strain. It's a tangled mess some ways back. You?"

They weren't far from the town by now, and walked through the gates just a few minutes before sunset. A gate was one thing, but having posted guards was relatively unexpected. Said guards were clearly readying to secure the access and that made the elfin Jedi wonder. A querying glance behind showed another traveler. It was far enough away to not be an immediate threat and that meant the guards were preparing for something else. Apparently his instincts had been right the first time and this planet was more dangerous than it initially seemed.

"Lodging is on your first right, travelers. Don't go wandering until you've made yourselves known. If you have nothing to trade work can be found for you."

Even more interesting.

To say Kalic was a bit overwhelmed would be an understatement. While some early training helped, he still didn't really enjoy being close to very strong Force Nexus's. He had to always focus to keep his vision from being blinded, and while having Starcrest helped, it wasn't quite like the visions. It wasn't long before the runner came though, and the Miraluke would make his way to the bridge.

As he got up there, he looked at Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch , taking a breath as he walked up.

"Hey, boss. What'd you need me for?"

"Pulled out of hyperspace, but when I decided to land some repairs failed and the ship couldn't take the strain. It's a tangled mess some ways back. You?"

"Likewise," Jasper answered. "The space around here is... strange. I don't think I've encountered anything like it."

As they made their way into the settlement, a wave of confusion came over the young padawan. They had been expecting visitors? Such a thing was most unusual to be sure. There was a feeling of impending dread in the air, some kind of dark machinations dwelling deeper in the mysterious world. Perhaps it had brought them here intentionally? The force worked in strange ways. It was hard to deny that this felt like one such occasion.

"Jasper Kai'el," he introduced. "Sorry, I never gave my name. This is my navigator Blip," gesturing to the droid with his head. "I-I must ask, does something feel off about this place? There's a feeling I can't quite shake. It's... dark."

Opersh Krul

Monster of the Deep
Nightfall drew near.

Deep in the forest, the soldiers waited for the last of the light to fade. It was easier to hunt in the dark. It made their conquest of Graveyard all the easier. For just like them, the planet hungered for the destruction of machines. For just like them the planet itself was bloodthirsty. It was the perfect starting point in this Galaxy for their conquest.

Opersh Krul stood at the forefront, his crimson gaze unyielding as he waited. Blades of sharpened bones were held in each fist, stained red with blood from the previous night's hunt. Behind him stood a hundred more like him, their blackened hide cloaking them in the dark, all of them armed and waiting in formation.

Ahead of them was another settlement. Ahead of them was another cesspool of infidels just waiting to be slaughtered. Ahead of them were other machinations brought down from the sky just for them to destroy.

Just as they had done to the colony on the other side of the mountains.

Entering the field behind Lukas and Adeline Noctua Adeline Noctua was a frightened human, his face revealing nothing but bloodied terror. His clothing was ripped to shreds, tattered and stained with blood. His run was slow as exhaustion had taken over, his breath hard and fast, coming through in wheezing gasps. His left arm and torso bore gashes looking no more than two days old, his wrists bound by thick leather.

"Help!.....Help!....He......elp!"

"Jackal? Unique name, I suppose." He muttered to himself, his eyes widening slightly, surprised she had caught up so quick, turning back to face the settlement, picking up his pace now he was sure she'd follow.

"A trainee?" He glanced back with a grin. "Something like that, yeah. What about you? You don't look like a Sith or a Jedi really.. Mercenary maybe?" He nodded down towards her gun with a small frown. "Guns never made much sense to me, I can't make sense of aiming them where I want, you should try a sword or something."

Lukas whirled around when he heard a plea for help from behind him, his hands raising quickly to rest on the hilts of his lightsabers. "You're in a state." He frowned, but made no efforts to step forwards to help the man, sizing up the man in front of him, and taking note of the injuries on his arms. "Why are you bound?" He stepped back, looking past the man to see if he could make out any kind of pursuer.

"Unless you want to stick around and see what caused that or help him out, but personally I think we should get to that settlement."

"No no I am not a wizard, you hit the nail somewhat on the head though! I work as a hunter, mercenary, scrapper.. Andddd perhaps smuggler. Hehhhh.."

She cackles, eyeing them up some more.

"Hmm you don't know anything about guns? Sorry to break it to ya kiddo but guns make the system go around, I know how your blades work... They can't reflect everything."

Jackal says as if speaking from experience, sticking out her pierced tongue at the boy.

"A sword ey? I suppose if I had an interest in getting myself a nice blade, I do have my eyes on a type that is rather famous."

She glances at his saber before giving him a fanged impish smile, it was always hard to tell if Jackal was actually threatening people or not.

Yet her nose would pick up the smell of food, not a good thing to smell in this case though. She quickly unholsters her gun, aiming it at the source of the smell as they ran out of the woods.

"Stick around? Sorry kiddo but I am not being paid to babysit some random person, both our ships crashed and we need to get to that settlement."

The woman's finger almost pulls the trigger as they aimed the gun right at the man, only stopping after tension had grown.

"Then again, perhaps the people in that town would want this guy back alive? He can follow but I am not stopping anymore, either they keep up or fall behind and die to whatever wounded them."

Jackal keeps her pistol out, only lowering it a bit before they glance over to Lucas to see what they thought.
