SPECIAL FEATURES
The materials used to create the robes allow them to be far more protective than standard alternatives.
Strengths:
+ Resistances: The materials used - most notably the phrik - provide more protection than standard robes
+ Concealed: The robes are designed to not look or sound armored, though discerning eyes can tell
Weaknesses:
- Plasma weapons: Given armorweave is only resistant and the phrik is chain-based rather than plate, it is quite possible that the energy of plasma-based weapons could make its way through the armor
- Joints and arms: To keep flexibility for the wearer, the armor is weaker at joints and on his arms; neck and head are exposed
- Extreme temperatures: The armor does not protect against extreme heat or cold any better than normal clothing
- Metal detectors: The phrik covers most of the torso and legs, metal detectors will find this easily
- Piercing damage: Mail has holes by definition, allowing the possibility of piercing damage
- Kinetics: The thermal gel is thin and only somewhat mitigates blunt-force damage
DESCRIPTION
The original Tarammad armor had been useful. It had served its purpose well: it had been a personal set of Jedi robes suited for a myriad of duties. Over time however, the robes had become worn, the armor portion damaged to the point where repair was close to replacing the entire thing. Rather than replacing with something of the same capabilities, Audren opted to take his experiences and the skills available through one of his companies to have an enhanced version available.

Instead of chain links made of duraplast and duranium, he'd opted to use phrik. It was far more protective against most assaults and lighter to boot. In addition the links were finer, meaning less space was used. Threaded through the links were thin strands of shadowsilk designed to mitigate the noises associated with metal armor. In similar fashion to the original, only the torso and pants contained the mail. In this iteration though, the mail was backed by a very thin layer of thermal gel. This served both as impact gel and a minor thermal regulator. Both mail and gel backing were sandwiched between a fine armorweave to make a jazerant-style material. Rather than phrik, armorplast was worked into the boots to provide additional protection from that direction.

Plates of phrik were created for common impact points, each backed by dedicated gel sections. These included elbow, shoulder, and knee plates. Gauntlets were created as well, using both mail and plates to provide protection while maximizing joint articulation. The metal was tinted to work with commonly-chosen colors, and the gauntlets had hardpoints to allow attachments. These pieces could be attached or detached at will to make the robes more formal or more combat-oriented. In like manner, the belt could be reconfigured with only minor effort, allowing weapon and utility loadout to be changed to suit the situation. Correctly configured, it was designed that the untrained eye would not spot the armor and would simply see normal robes suitable for Jedi or common citizens.
