For Danielle in particular, her parents were of the military life and her father was part of an operation on Giaca that found themselves ambushed by Peroenian troops, killed for the intelligence they were carrying and left to be discovered, following failure to rendezvous with their own.
During this time, Dani's Mother hadn't yet learned of her pregnancy and so upon hearing the news after suffering an already heart breaking loss, she chose instead to adopt her daughter into a Military paired Orphanage, where she would be raised with the education required and later brought into the regime, taught to be a soldier and given a chance at life where her Mother felt herself incapable of providing at the time.
Giaca offered a place of temporary station as part of Shor's military establishment and regime. She spent three years away from her homeworld as a Soldier and protector of the Shorak settlement, excelling in the duties, routines and general day to day of military life.
At sixteen years old, Danielle chose to step out into her own, having come of age and given the opportunity to continue to serve or otherwise leave the Military Force and find a life that truly called to her.
Appearance
The Shorak are near-human species built with a more muscular baseline than most general humankind, for example the female Shorak are not as hindered by a smaller frame as women of the human race are prone to being, and can become quite well built and toned through regular exercise and training.
At the age of sixteen galactic standard years, Danielle is of a strong athletic build, well toned in muscle. There are very few differences between her and a typical human appearance however. Beyond the capacity to become rather well built, her hair color is a deep brown and her eyes are hazel. Her skin pigmentation is fair, though her home-world bares no lack of sunlight or warmth.
Strengths and Weaknesses
STRENGTHS
- Staunch Physique: A species trait of the Shorak, Danielle is built of a strong, stocky physique known to her people. Broad shouldered with great muscle mass, good height and often easily mistaken to be older than she truly is; It's no doubt easy to understand why the life of a soldier did her justice in her earliest years.
- Sleight Of Hand: Trained in the basics of Self-defense and Unarmed Combat, Danielle has taken a liking to fighting with her body over the likes of weapons practice. While she is capable in other area's, her hand and foot work in melee form is an obvious strength and interest to her future training.
- Self-Loathing: Danielle suffers from low self-esteem and self-neglect in connection with her childhood and being raised an Orphan. She has learned to process her emotions through physical training and while she isn't an overly violent person, instances of anger can quickly turn to bouts of anxiety where she struggles to justify herself within confrontation.
- Self-Conscious: Due to her species boasting a more masculine body mass, and Danielle's physique being well built compared to the typical Humankind that she is often mistaken for, Danielle is often left feeling anxious where the views of others are concerned. No stranger to the judgements of others, her confidence is easily moved by the sense of rejection or notable indifference with society around her.
- Average-Jane: Having been raised through a military infrastructure, Danielle has her basic qualifications and education required of a former soldier. However she does not hold any advanced learning, training or general knowledge of the wider practices known to the Galaxy and therefore struggles to find her sense of belonging or purpose alongside others.
