It was a time for celebration in the Confederacy…

A time for the people of Naboo to rejoice…

Coronation day had arrived!

The air was filled with music and laughter as tens of thousands had found their way into the great city of Theed. There were games, food, and drink as well as live entertainment abroad. Children ran through the streets, straying from time to time onto the Grand Parade route – causing the Royal Security Forces and the Confederacy droids to react, ushering them back to their proper place. It was sufficient to say that the security was air-tight and there would be more than enough people there to ensure that peace and safety was kept during the event. The palace was off-limits to the public, and a specialized, numbered invitation was sent out to no more than fifty individuals. Dignitaries, heads of state, Force users, and even normal people were among the select individuals invited to the event.

But there was some discontent amongst the masses. A small group of individuals had gathered in Theed, protesting the rise of the Princess to Queen. They were unsatisfied with the current situation and felt that Naboo should not return to the ways of old. This group was not threatening for the most part and was even pushed back to the limits of the city by the revealers and security alike. Individuals arriving would be screened by security, twice over, before being allowed into the Main Hall in the Palace. Weapons would be secured by C.I.S security teams and stored away unless they had a specialized invite which granted them permissions to retain their weaponry. Individuals with an elevated status in the Confederacy or Galaxy at large would be escorted by security personnel. It was a smooth, tight running ship with minimal expectation for hiccups – however, plans were put in place in case of sabotage or other terrorist related incidents. But none were expected, at least by the intelligence on Naboo and C.I.S abroad.

Everyone would be monitored, in some form or fashion and to get remotely close to the Princess or her Court – it would require more than a simple invitation.

After security, individuals would receive an itinerary for the events of the day, which included a formal ceremony on the Queen’s Isle, an address to the public – which would be delivered by holonet to the masses and finally a procession. The procession would take the newly coronated Queen from the Queen’s Isle to The Royal Palace via two routes, with an emergency route that led directly to the hanger should there be an emergency. When all the formalities were said and done, a grand banquet was planned – while the people in the streets would party until the early morning hours.

There was much to celebrate for the Naboo people, even beyond getting a Queen – the Confederacy was relocating their capital to the garden world of Naboo. That meant more security, larger economy and the ability to expand beyond the Royal Security Forces into a full-fledged military machine intent on protecting those on Naboo and within the Chommell Sector.

Naboo.

Once the arch enemy of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Now her capital.

How the times have changed.

The Confederacy had moved to the planet amid trying circumstances. A terrorist attack on Ryloth, followed by the assassination of the Viceroy of Siskeen, had left the Confederacy concerned for the future. An immediate evacuation of the government had been called, and so the halls of the Viceroyalty on Geonosis lay empty. But the question still stood: Where to go? Many called for the Confederacy to remain on Geonosis. Some insisted that such an industrial planet was not fit to be the crown jewel of the Confederacy. And yet others insisted that a planet was not necessary at all.

But then an offer was extended that many did not expect. Princess Kairi Leidias had extended an invitation. To more than just her coronation as Queen. She had welcomed the Confederacy to her planet. To establish a new government. Debate and debate had been spawned of this offer. To accept it? Or to return to the rightful throne of Geonosis? In the end, however, the consensus was reached: The Confederacy would take Naboo as its new capital. And now, on the day of the Princess’s coronation, the Confederates celebrated.

The new royal was claiming her throne. And the Confederacy had named a new crown jewel. Many came to celebrate. But some came to defend. Some of the local populace were already vocally opposing the new appointment of Queen. And given recent events, many Confederates felt it wise to enact the true power of Confederacy First. The best and brightest of the CDF were deployed in force, a fleet surrounded the planet with nets cast wide to find any who would attempt to visit unannounced. On the ground, soldiers patrolled alongside their planetary security counterparts. The mood was festive, but preparations had been made, just in case someone got ideas…

The Princess of Naboo stood in the mirror that towered over her smaller frame. She examined herself in her robes, sighing softly as she touched the silk laden fabric between her fingers. A knot of anxiety felt almost crushing against her chest as she anticipated the events for the afternoon – to include taking on the greatest responsibility of her life. She was no longer able to be a young person, galivanting around the Lake Country with little care. No, she was now going to be responsible for over 5 billion lifeforms, which was a heavy burden to bear. She said nothing as her handmaidens seemed to swarm about her, pulling at fabric, placing clothing on her, and discarding other garments. They worked like magic wands of sorts, taking her from slightly disheveled looking to Queen in a matter of minutes. As they continued to prepare her hair and makeup, she raised a hand to get them stop for a moment, kneeling to grab something from the end table close to the mirror. It was a small lapel that had belonged to her father, a symbol of House Naberrie. Kairi said nothing as she quietly reached inside her dress, attaching the lapel to her bra strap. Silent and in the moment, she simply nodded to the group of women and their work began again.
A few minutes would pass, as she emerged from her chambers with her Handmaidens in tow. The members of her Court would be waiting and Kairi would approach quietly, head hung low. She looked up to the group, at each individual before nodding. “I think we’re ready.” She said with a sudden smile upon her painted lips.
The sound of ships arriving in the distant and breaking the atmosphere would echo softly through the grand halls, causing their moment of reprieve before the chaos to be broken up. Kairi looked out the window beside her for a moment before turning back to her Court. “No turning back now…”

The City streets of Theed were a buzz of activity and celebrations for their new Queen Kairi Leidias and all that her coronation would do for Naboo and the establishment of a new Governorship alongside the Confederacy of Independent Systems. With the changing status of Capital shifting from Geonosis to Naboo, came a hive of media content to address the shift and relay the news to the rest of the Galaxy. For Danielle Mueller, it was the Holonet that had educated her in the coming ceremony and celebrations, something that she wished to be present for since becoming a full-time citizen of Confederate Space.

Naboo seemed a beautiful place, the weather bright and warm and the decor of Theed's infrastructure was easy to admire even for one as clueless to such things as Dani was. Walking aimlessly alongside numerous others, all estranged and nameless to her, Dee's gaze seemed to be entirely focused on the buildings to either side as she took in all the sights and sounds. This was her first time visiting the green world after all.

Truth be told, she wasn't much to look at in the way of general attire or social status. Dani wore a pair of dark green cargo pants with black laced boots, a dull white tank top beneath an olive jacket and over one shoulder was the brown leather backpack that held the full compliment of her possessions. So far she had managed to get around via public transport and the generosity of others, yet if ever she were to be stranded, Naboo seemed a nice enough place to be stuck upon for any length of time.

Voph had arrived at the head of an impressive fleet. The Desolation at its head, and a full compliment of Vanguards and Obsidian class ships at her back. Perhaps overkill, in the light of the Capital Navy that had taken residence in the Naboo system. But after recent events? Voph was never one to make assumptions. He just hoped he was wrong in this instance.
Within the hour, Voph stood upon Nabooian soil for the hundredth time that week. He'd always been one for staying involved in the process of relocation, and this had been no different. The official headquarters of the Knights Obsidian had been moved to Naboo. The Citadel was still the massive hub it had always been, that much had not changed. But Naboo was where the Confederacy had moved to. So Voph moved with them. Facilities to keep the Obsidian Council near the heart of the nation, as well as provide lodging to those Knights in the area. He had spent nearly a month helping select the facitlity, and get it set up.
But now, he could relax. Today was a festive one. The Coronation of Princess Kairi Leidias , and the official declaration of Naboo as the new Confederate Capital. Voph sighed quietly from his post in the shade near the parade route. His recent battle aboard The Confessor had a number of consequences, some unintended. His hand ran through his newly white hair, pausing at the base of his short ponytail. The stubble about his chin shone in the light, the white hairs standing out against his jaw. At the very least? That trial was over. Now it was time to explore what else the galaxy had in store for him...

Outside the public eye and within the private spaces of the palace Anse was seen walking as a man. However in the eye of the public he stayed as a ‘beast’. As a wolf he was big enough that, with the right harness, he could easily be ridden by the soon to be Queen. A fact that made him useful in terms of protecting her.

The contract made between them set him as outside the structures that say, a guard must follow. His duty was to serve the queen in whatever capacity that she needed, within reason and if he had to trod on toes to do it. Well, she didn’t care. Neither did he for that matter.

He sat sprawled outside the door, but hearing her starting to leave the massive lupine creature stood up and gave her a friendly wag of his tail. The Lopara had contacted Desbre Gensan Desbre Gensan with news of this new job, but hadn’t heard back nor had heard from her in quite a while. A fact that gave him a lot of discontentment because he had very much enjoyed her company. On top of it, he would have loved to see if she wanted to play a handmaiden.

The harness for this event was at first glance showy, but within it held an impressive array of methods with which to defend herself and for him to defend her, should he need to change forms. Add to the fact he could easily get it off in a pinch was fantastic. His own clothing was tailored to be protective, but also allow him to change shape.

When he smelled her anxiety he casually slipped his big head under her hand and made a soft whine. Letting her know, as best he could vocally, he was here for her and would protect her. With luck, this thing would go without a hitch and things would be fine.

Audré joined the other handmaidens in decking up the Princess for her coronation. She was an artist, if she dared say so herself, polishing the last details of makeup on Kairi's face. As a handmaiden, not so much thrust into the spotlight this day compared to her royal mistress, Audré could afford a hair out of place or a crinkle in her dress. But not the new Queen, who was Audré's priority to make sure she looked perfect, before tending to herself. Her "sisters" were more fashionably oriented than her, and Audré went along with whatever color-coordinated dress and hairstyles they had picked out, for all of the handmaidens to wear.

She could feel the air of anxiety and nervousness, and couldn't deny she felt the same. This was the moment she and her sisters had all been training for. Audré couldn't be more proud of every one of them and how much they had grown and accomplished together thus far, and yet she couldn't have been more fearful at this moment in suspense, knowing that the real hardship was yet to come... Only hours away. Everything would begin as soon as the new Queen was crowned before the people. It would officially seal Audré's status as a royal handmaiden, and there would be no backing out then.

Would little Sanya be there? Audré doubted she would be able to interact with her daughter in person, but it was her hope, perhaps, that she would glimpse the little girl during the procession, if her connections had secured Sanya with a front-row view on the sidelines.

A handmaiden of few words, believing it was best in her place to be seen than heard (unless she were playing the part of the decoy, of course), Audré gave a small smile of reassurance and a nod at Kairi, ready to follow after the Princess' lead.

She were no dignitary, but had gotten a request to attend the coronation. That request came from her father, the Viceroy of Castagne.

Certainly there had been quite an objection from Karlie as to why an Internal investigator from the Castan Bureau would be sent to the new acquired CIS system of Naboo. Only in her father's presence did Karlie let known her objection of their faction's unending expansion and takeovers of so many systems. War had not been Castangne's objectives when they had joined the CIS.
Still, they were in it deep with the Confederacy.

"Fine..." Karlie finally succeeded.
"I'll go. I'll see what has become of Naboo and it's puppet queen-" She didn't get to finish her remark, before tarssin cut her off. They weren't going to meddle in anyone's affairs or blanket judge any system based on their alligience to the CIS. After all, they were a CIS state themselves.

"Yes, but-"

There were no buts. Not from Tarssin. He were adamant about her attitude and demanded she curb it...especially off world. Did she understand this?

"Yes..." She sighed. Karlie would not go against her father's wishes. He was after all the Viceroy and Head of the Castan Cabinet. Karlie was an agent in the ICI, a Bureau in Castagne's executive branches.
"Yes, I understand. I'll be objective...will keep an open mind about the new queen." It were a promise, something she didn't have to swear by it as her word to her father was solid.

Hours later...

Karlie had taken her private star ship, the LCX-3, punching through hyperspace at 0.3 toward the system of Naboo.
She were going to be objectionable, not judge anyone, especially the new matriarch of Naboo.

At the final countdown to ...3...2...1....* Emergence. The vessel slipped out of hyperspace and appeared at a safe distance of 400,000 km from the planet. Karlie had taken into consideration the many CIS vessels converging on the system. No sense getting into a bumper mishap right from the gecko.
The distance quickly retracted as she piloted her ship closer to the planet...

Naboo had always been a part of the Jedi Masters life, he was born and raised here. If he hadn't joined the Jedi at his young age he would no doubt still be here on Naboo. Finding something here to do with his life, however things didn't work out that way. His life had taken a different turn, one that he was quite proud of. Now he found himself looking to purchase a home for him and potentially his family should they have the desire to come and stay on Naboo. Kahne found himself missing it more and more and now that he learned that there was to be a newly crowned Queen, the occasion to return was all that much better.

The Jedi Master was dressed rather warmly today, and from the time he hit the streets a smile stayed on his face. The people flocked to the streets by the thousands and he couldn't possibly remember when there was a gathering like this. The people of Naboo had a great deal to be thankful for and with Kairi Leidias to be crowned Queen, that was one of the biggest reasons. The Jedi Master didn't know her personally, but given the out-pour of support that was here today. She was truly meant to be a Jewel to shine brightest.

The Jedi Master gently eased his way through the crowd and along the way there were a few individuals that he met up with giving a friendly handshake and even more so a hug with those that he hadn't seen in a long time. His wife and children were home, but so was Naboo.

It always would be.

The Jedi found a good spot to be to where he could watch the parade go by and then later the coronation and such. He was excited to meet the new Queen.

Commander Ra Vizsla
Representing: New Imperial Order
Location: Crowded street.

Crowds were gathering.

The atmosphere was lightning.

A coronation?

There would be a population boom on Naboo this night.

There wasn't, however, as much excitement at one particular landing pad in the docks of the city as guests and esteemed visitors continued to pour into the city Theed. Imperial emblems emblazoned on the side of a transport ship signified the arrival of one particular emissary from the New Imperial Order, the Commander of the 403rd Battalion and the highest esteemed Mandalorian to side with the Sons of Mandalore - Ra Vizsla.

Crimson and white flowing sheets blanketed the turnstiles as the Commander made his way down the loading dock and into the the crowds of the streets.

Fighting wars came easy to the Red Son of Mandalore. Easy objectives. Enemies to be destroyed, obstacles to over, objectives to achieve. Numbers to attain. Coronations, the public eye, the social highlights of the Galaxy - this was not the battlefield that Ra was accustomed to. Moreso than ever, his kind, the Mando'ade, had been dispersed and willfully forgotten. Since the days of the United Clans, the name Mandalore no longer commanded respect among his peers. People no longer shuddered in fear at the name Vizsla - the wolves of the Galaxy were discounted among the highest circles of the elite.

Exactly how Ra wanted it to be.

This was a time to observe, to immerse. And to show his respect for more than war - the fabric of the galaxy was woven in these events, and Ra could not afford to be a stranger to it. It was a dangerous game they played, perhaps the most dangerous of all -

To be loved was harder than to be feared.

This excitement in the faces of everyone in this crowd proved as much. The armored Imperial, weaponless, found himself soon standing next to a stranger in the crowd - Kahne Porte Kahne Porte - in anticipation of watching the parade.

L O C A T I O N | Naboo - City of Theed
W E A R I N G | [x]
T A G S | Bastille Rommer Bastille Rommer

Jamilah stretched herself out as best she could in the cramped space of the shuttle. The journey from Ra’Katha to Naboo had been a long one, and she could feel it in every single muscle.

Naboo was a beautiful planet, covered in a patchwork blanket of various shades of green. A stark contrast to the orange hues of the home she knew and loved. Crystalline emerald waters lapped against soft yellow shores, with the shadows of rolling mountains on the horizon to darken their depths. Even the skies had taken on a particular beauty, soft blues and pinks merging where the sun began to dip behind the clouds. If nothing else, it was picturesque. However, at the present moment in time, Jamilah would have considered Nar Shaddaa picturesque. Anything would have been, as long as it was anywhere but this shuttle.

Just as Jamilah was beginning to lose her patience, the shuttle was brought to a slow stop. Finally. An unknown hand shot out to offer her aid in standing, and she took it gratefully. After all this time sitting, her legs may as well have been made of jelly. The whoosh of the shuttle doors opening brought in a torrent of crisp, fresh air. Something that she hadn’t realised she missed until it filled her lungs. “Remind me to stay up the night before our next trip this far into the centre of the galaxy.” Her thick honied accent poured from her lips as she cast her husband a soft smile filled with amusement.

“If it weren’t for the fact that it was Kairi being crowned I dare say I wouldn’t have bothered making the journey at all.” Jamilah and Kairi Leidias had been friends for a while now, mainly over letters penned by hand and sent off on the next shipment across the Galaxy, but friends nonetheless. This would be the second time the young Ra’Kathan Queen would have met her, the first being when they were both very young. But, what difference did distance make when you had solidified a childhood friendship? “I’m excited to see her.”

The moment Jamilah stepped foot on solid ground, she could feel the stress of travel melting away. Now all that was left to do was enjoy the celebrations.

Brave stood among grand halls as the Queen exited her chambers.

He wore a blue suit and a copper vest. A pocket watch and a bowler hat. Indeed, The Old Man abides. Now in his late fifties and quickly closing in on a comfortable retirement. He did this job now just for the fun of it.

The Captain gave a nod to the Queen with a merry twinkle in his eye. It meant all was well.

At his side stood a gorgeous dark-skinned Officer of the Guard. Lieutenant Amanda Holliway. She wore the blue uniform and brown blast leathers of The Royal Guard, and she smelled absolutely terrific. Which, was probably why The Old Man delegated absolutely everything resembling "work" or "drudgery" to her skilled and affluent hands. She was Brave's secret weapon. His, Ace in the hole. A woman could do practically everything and make it look easy. Heh. Well,

She was also the reason he got to slip away from active duty so often to play cards. Ooo. Oh, naughty Mister Captain who.

Anyway. Holidays aside, the Lieutenant leaned closer to Brave to whisper quietly in his ear,

"Everything is all set. The CIS are making a grand show of security. Today should be a piece of cake for us. Easy as a summer's drive, I'd say."

"Exceptional my dear. Simply exceptional." Brave smiled through his gentlemanly mustache, "Now all we have to do is stay by her side and today is for the Gods."

He smiled broadly and withdrew a large golden cigar. Nix that. A huge, golden cigar. Pressing to his cheek with a grin full of pride and wisdom.

"Um, there is no smoking in here sir. So,"

Holliway reached up and popped the cigar right out from his puzzled lips. Then promptly slipped it into her belt pouch. Returning to stare straight ahead at attention quickly thereafter. As if nothing had ever happened.

Poor Captain Brave looked rather befuddled and straightened his copper vest with distaste and dul'fuddlry.

"Well. Bother all. That woman's professionalism will be the death of me. H'rumph."

Then he wrinkled his mustache and eyed the dog.

The dog? Wait? We don't have a dog around here?

Then he eyed the Queen and leaned over to his Lieutenant,

"Erm, Holliway? When did we get a new..."

"He's a contractor sir. Bit of a wildcard. But she trusts him." She said smoothly with a raised chin.

"Oh. Well." He stammered with mild acceptance, "...Bugger me twice. She has a dog. Who knew?"

Feeling rather reclined and repentant right about now. He straightened his copper vest a second time and adjusted his gaze to the door. Well then? Now that all that's over.

He hit play on Ra's Soundcloud again.

Time for the festivities, to begin!

Surprisingly, security seemed a bit lax...getting clearance to land with just her transmitting the given codes her father gave her. Then again, how many Castan LCX-3 were registered? None. Her ship were as unique as she.
Nevertheless, Karlie was all dressed in her Castan Marine ceremonial uniform. She indeed had a few dress gowns, but attending what looked like a setting for a parade which of course would most likely follow with an official coronation; dress uniform was most appropriate for these two events. The ensuing celebration or ball would certainly be covered with one of her chosen evening gowns.
As much as she had been reluctant on attending, the planet she skimmed over was indeed as beautiful as it had been rendered in holograms. Actually, more inspiring...breathtaking, as it once must have been on her world... once upon a time.
But all of the old remnants of her Castagne had been razed. Torn down and rebuilt centuries ago by her own people. How strange it were for a world to wipe out it's own history..even as blemished as it had been. Yes, that was the word which came to mind.

The view out of her full transparent cockpit had Karlie sit there in her pilot chair awhile before she retracted it back into the main cabin. She were already fully dressed as she had prepared just an hour before her ship were to emerge in this sector. All she needed to do was don her blade. It lay there in it's scabbard on her bed.
It were an ancient blade from a time long past in the history of her planet. It had been made during it's darker times...forged of rare metals and decorated with dragons..possibly at an age when yielding the force was like yielding dragon fire...
Karlie picked up the blade and fastened it to her side. No mistaken it for a weapon with all of it's ornate design...or so she believed.

It had been found within her mother's belongings after her fall and demise. And it had been hung on her father's office for quite some time. That is until he presented her with the blade upon her military graduation...before she were indoctrinated into one of Castagne's executive branches..the IBI.

Karlie sighed, before taking a deep breath and exited her ship.
Naboo smelled similar to her world... was as bright and as tempered as Castagne. Only it spoke of much history. History that seemed to envelope every building, every house...every cobblestone she stepped on.
Oh how she wished she knew her world as it once were. But Castagne had gone through a Renaissance, a rebuilding that brought them out of the darkness...or so it's intend had been. And sadly in many ways they had succeeded, but at a great cost to it's once beautiful cities like here on Naboo.

Karlie's head were elsewhere, daydreaming of Castagne's past, walking in the direction that many around her were heading toward. It didn't take brains to know they were all heading up to the parade grounds.
She let out a small chuckle. seemed for the first time, she weren't late to an event.

Wearing: Lace Bodysuit, Jacket, Leather Pants
Location: Rootops, Prepping the Confetti Cannons
Objective: Spicin' Up a Party

"Party Girl's Log, Supplemental... We totally got confetti cannons."

Naboo. Home of the Pinkest Zeltron. Bane of Sith everywhere -- at least the super angry-face ones. This is where she lived. This is where she worked. This was where she par-tayed. And what was today but one, giant party? Like, you don't get a Queen everyday, and there weren't many more important reasons to hold a celebration, right? There was to be no shortage in what would be brought to bear. No party favor too small, no cost too high! (Don't tell John Locke.)

What? Cali made sure all the subtle, discrete, and tasteful logos were on display. Mega-Corp supporting Mega-Pretty Queen, right? Totally good for business. People loved free things; especially festive ones. She'd done smaller gigs like this for Whimsy back in the day. Some confetti, some music, some dancing, maybe a little stage performance, some free goodies... Attract a great crowd!

Not that they needed to beg anyone to show up. They were expecting a grand experience. Lucky for them, they had a Zeltron on the job!

A soft snap filled the air as the last mega cannon was positioned by the team. They looked at her, Cali looked at them. Her jaw stopped working for just a moment as she'd been munching a bit of chocolate with a muffled, "What?" that followed. Hey, she'd done all the prep on the launchers earlier. Moving them into position wasn't that hard.

Okay, maybe a little, but there was like three of them. Delegation of work! It was the responsible thing to do.

Also, chocolate break.

She sauntered over to the edge of the roof and peered down at the huge number of people below. Yep, it was a party. Soon the fanfare would kick in and they'd be going wild. Great day to be a cutey.

Oh, right. Cali stashed her bar and pulled out a comlink, "Hey, Guys and Gals, lets do a final check on all the specials, 'kay? Nothing's more embarrassing than a misfire. Streamers. Poppers. Banners. Sweepers. We're gonna give 'em a ravin' good time," Cali cried as she pumped a fist into the air with a hop into the air with both feet.

Maybe she'd find a cute Miraluka about too. With Xobos getting Knighted, Cali never knew if she'd have actual responsibilities (not including death-games); but surely her Xoxo would be given the day off for this, right? Apparently the Confederacy moved here so a new Queen had to be a big deal, right? Maybe not. Cali really didn't get the whole political things. Well, except how to get the Viceroys to help a pink girl out when necessary.

Came to Naboo in: Blood Money (Crimson Chromium Lambda Shuttle)

Armed with: Gorgeous Looks

Wearing: Black Armorweave dress

Objective: Meet up with Karlie

Westenra greedily fed on a First Order Soldier she had kidnapped about two week before in the near privacy of her black suite aboard the Castle Morpheus. He was bound and gagged, Westenra's fangs buried in his neck, extracting the psychic energy from his brain, flesh rippling as she fed herself. Across the dining table sat her Familiar, Cern, who was calmly eating a plate of eggs right next to a pile of other unconscious enemy soldiers she had fed upon.

Westenra was in her Gladiator configuration, a slender yet somewhat curvy athlete with fair skin and raven hair with bright pink eyes, a faint glimmer of purple at the center. She was wearing an extremely revealing black, chromium like gown. As revealing as it could be without becoming tasteless. A neckline that plunged to her naval, a dress cut exposing athlete's legs. All made horrible by her moving skin.

The Android ceased feeding and pulled back, flesh going back to normal. She immediately treated the unconscious victim's wounds, then carried him with one arm over to the pile, reinforced durasteel combat stilettos clicking hard with the extra weight on a black marble floor dumping him into the pile.

Cern glanced at one of the formerly unconscious soldiers starting to wake up.

"West, this one's got a little juice left..." Cern pointed out.

Westenra noticed the soldier struggling to escape the pile, not remembering how he had gotten here. Westenra caught him immediately with arms five times the strength of a peak human athlete, sinking her fangs into him as the bound and gagged man screamed. Her flesh rippled everywear, sucking in more psychic energy, sating her hunger instinct. The man screamed reaching out to Cern in pure fear and desperation. Cern calmly continued chewing his food and drinking his coffee, and off handedly extended his middle finger to the victim.

Soon the bacta got applied to his neck also and back to the pile he went, asleep.

Cern finished his coffee.

"You're stress eating again, Lady Mina."

"Am I?" she asked, licking blood off her teeth, making sure none was on her gown.

"You don't usually eat 007 times."

"We still aren't fully out of the red financially. Transferring and funneling money from all our jobs to us legally has taxed even my capabilities..." she confessed heading over to the jewelry box, an ornate cherry red contruction from Atrisia and took out her single red colored sapphire necklace lined with pink Alderaanian Rubies mounted on an aurodium neck clasp and fixed it to the slender stem connecting head to body.

"Why not just take a break?"

"Why do you think I'm going to Naboo? Nice clean waters, trusting people...people who will look at the dress and forget about asking any questions..." Westenra trailed, slipping on an obsidian colored coil ring upon which was mounted an Ankarres Sapphire and two pink Synthetic Crystals on the sides.

"Let our knights handle wash up..." she told her familiar. He headed out to the Hangar where Blood Money, their brand new red chromium vintage Lambda Shuttle awaited.

"Lambdas...I always did enjoy Lambdas..." Cern remarked as they walked aboard, the dozen or so capsules with gamma ray lamps and pieces of Westenra from multiple guises lining the walls.

Ten minutes later...

Westenra stepped off the ship onto the open air landing zone in the city of Theed, facinated by the many colored banners and elegant architecture. It was one of the most beautiful places she had ever seen.

Westenra's eye and facial recognition software spotted Karlie Lynn Destat Karlie Lynn Destat walking toward the celebrations in the streets. She let out a squee of pure delight and headed up to her, leaving her Familiar to amuse himself with her credit card while she went to join her.

"Miss Destat!" she called out enthusiastically walking up to her friend and pointing out her bright pink eyes, greeting her with a line she had used upon first meeting Karlie at Azterri.

"My mission is to protect you..."

Never in her life would Ashelia dream she would find herself in such a perfect place. Naboo was probably the most beautiful planet she ever saw in her life, the people of the Core Worlds were so free and yet, they seemed to care about every aspect of life like all mattered in their existence. She heard about the gungans in her life, but she never actually saw so many of them running around the city speaking in such a way that almost made her laugh every time she looked at one of them.

Curiously, a thin fainted voice, her own, spoke to her as she walked around the streets, dressed in those fancy robes borrowed by her new order in CIS. ‘This place makes me wonder…’, the voice spoke to her, ‘Is life this simple? Was life this simple before?’, she was too used on running around from place to place, finding work to keep the mind busy, or running errands in the name of her father. Now those days were done, she joined willingly to the Knights of Obsidian, even if her father was the one with that idea, Ashelia was the one that decided that. She could have ran away again, back to the underworld and its depths, hide with the scum she knew all too well.

‘But why? Everyone needs a home. Everyone needs… friends.’, and she doubted she had any, even her dreadful sister had her pets, Daedalos had his master, Sephiroth had his woman, but what did she had? She was alone in the galaxy, she had a family that barely spoke to her, a father that she hated and feared all at the same time. Looking at those people only made her heart fill empty. She swinged her head almost immediately, trying to clear her mind of those feelings, her right hand going straight to her face clearing her eyes from the silky pink hair that fell in front of them. Raising her head high in the sky, noticing how clean and blue he was, almost like the reflection of a sapphire.

"Such a beautiful day..."

In all sense of the word, she were seemingly walking in a daze.
Her thoughts were on her home world... a world she wished she had known it when it once looked like this one. Naboo's streets somehow evoked a strange longing for something she knew she had never known. How strange it were, she thought..yet, how wonderful it was at the same time. She never had these feelings of belonging elsewhere besides her own system. But that longing were of something long gone, yet-
Yet she missed it.
"Feth..." She absentmindedly uttered out loud to self, feeling the loss.

"Really?..." a woman just three steps ahead of her stopped short turning around. "Well why don't you just go around? " She said thinking karlie cussed her out for taking her time.

"Huh, wha?"... it didn't take a blink of an eye for her to return to the now.

"...er...no.
No, my apologizes. I was just..." What was she going to tell her, that she were daydreaming?
"I forgot something back at the hotel..." Quick thinking, but unfortunately there were no hotels on Naboo. They had quest houses..mansion like mini estates that off-world guest were accommodated in.
"...something important." Wait a second. Why was she apologizing to this woman? It certainly wasn't leveling the situation, seeing that the woman was not backing off.

"Well I still say you should watch your trash mouth, honey-"

"Oh please..." Karlie's eyes made a circle. "This is not going to get out of hand, lady. Out of my way! Sheesh... maybe you do need a good feth after all!" Sidestepping, Karlie did just that, pass the woman... quickening her pace, lest the woman didn't want to let it go.

Well, that certainly broke up her nostalgic euphoria. Karlie's heart had picked up a few beats. She were not one that looked for trouble, as she for some reason or other, despite her genetics was for the most part a pacifist. Although she had some good fighting skills, she were never the aggressor. Ok, some correction here, adequate skills. The girl rarely practiced one on one on a combatant scale since graduating the academy. And that by the way was a prerequisite for her indoctrination into one of Castagne's Executive Bureaus, the IBI.
Karlie were book smart rather than a honed fighter. But a fighter was in her genes.
Born sister/daughter to what one would categorize as an immortal sith, her sole purpose for life had been to replace her mother/sister's body. Well, THAT didn't happen, as her mother had been cut down and defeated by non other than her own father, Tarssin Destat
Of course her father had been much younger then as Karlie were but 4 years of age when her mother fell...

Continuing on...

It didn't take long to put that little misstep with that woman aside. It were easy to get lost in the crowd as the parade was soon to commence. There was no time to daydream again, as the excitement of the crowd gathering was very festive and contagious, spurring Karlie to get on her tippy-toes to see if she could get a better vantage point.
Then she felt it...the little tap on the wrist. Her wrist crono had pulsed a signal. Someone from Nine Lives Nine Lives house had been sensed and it triggered an initial pulse to let her know.
Karlie's heart rate picked up. Vera?..Rom? Oh Berkana, could she possibly be here? Ok yea, she were still awfully mad at Vera, she had to be. But Karlie nevertheless missed her/both..Damn, where was she? She looked about, not seeing anyone, especially in any form she recognized. Well, not someone in a new form entirely.

Ok...soooo who was this one?
"Hello..." No, her first reaction whether or not it were Vera was a cautionary one. Yes, Nine's crono had indicated one of her daughters were near, but was this one of them or just some random aristocrat giving her the eye? Really...the eye? Like what did it mean? Karlie wasn't into girls-
Keerrrrp.....(record needle scraping across a vinyl record)
Ok that wasn't entirely true. She had fallen for Vera...FALLEN.

No way!...could this be Vera in another guise, her brain were trying to figure out.

"OMG...no way!" Karlie grabbed the girl by her forearms and looked deeply into her eyes. The reference, the twinkle...
Yes! She knew who it was!
"West!... OMG, it's you!" Karlie exclaimed before letting go of the girl taking a step back to look her over from head to toe. Of course Karlie had an exasperated open smile, unbelieving it were her friend Westenra right here on Naboo...and she was here to what?

"Wait..what do you mean, you're here to protect me?" Yes, she had heard those words before. Karlie had been in a ditch at the time. Limo crash and..and some wacked out Mando bounty hunter after her and..and whatever, it were not important right now. The Mando was no more. Both Westenra and ...and Vera made sure to take care of the problem.

"Hahaha...you!" Karlie finally got it...the reference. She weren't in danger..right? No, no no.. It were West's means of letting her know whom she was. Yes, of course...relax girl.
Karlie hesitated a second to wrap her arms around her friend...the armor you see. Karlie were dressed in Castan Marine ceremonial uniform. It had a few hard edges, but full battle armor it was not. nevertheless, despite her hesitation in not wanting to hurt or pinch her friend, she did give her a good hug remembering West was tougher than she looked.

"Oh West... so happy...excited really to see you again." Karlie's eyes looked over her attire again, touching the shoulder plunge line of the fabric. It were no textile.
"Damn you... Mother
(reference to Nine) knows how to weave some good looking armor..look at you, hehe."

When Bastille had gotten his first look at Naboo, the observation that came most readily to his mind was that of the greenery and life that the small planet hosted. The foliage seemed to cover every inch of the planet that was not consumed by jade-blue water; it was a sight so unlike Bastille's own Ra'Katha. Although Ra'Katha's trading fleet had begun to fester and grow, carefully fostered and managed by Bastille as its reach extended slowly outwards in all directions.

Yet the Kemotar had only been on one planet that wasn't his own, Geonosis, the now-former capital of the Confederacy. Despite the towering spires of Golbah City, with it's modern, core-inspired architecture, Geonosis was still very much a desert world of the same intensity on Ra'Katha. Yet Naboo? A single in this garden world held more life than the entire sand ocean of Ra'Katha. Nevertheless, the greens and blues of the famous planet was a truly impressive sight as the private shuttle of the Kemotat descended to the planet's surface.

The shuttle touched down, and Bastille was greeted by cool, fresh air and the cheerful bubbling of a water fountain as light poured into the cabin of the shuttle. He stood, gathering his traditional Ra'Kathan robe about him before extending a hand to help his wife to her feet. Space travel was no trivial matter, and for those who hadn't in a while, it was always a slightly uncomfortable experience walking off a shuttle after a long journey. He could sense some of that discomfort in Jamilah, yet she didn't complain about it, something Bastille noted with a hint of approval. Graciously, he allowed his wife to be the first to exit the shuttle before he followed behind, listening to her as she spoke.

"The Princess and you are close friends. I'm sure she would be delighted to see you as well." Bastille said with a smile as they stepped onto solid, paved ground and the ramp of the shuttle retracted back into the ship. "It is fortunate we are able to do so in such a temperate climate, too. Naboo is indeed a beautiful place, although it only holds a fraction of your own radiance, mva'Jamilah."

Only a small retinue of Kemotat guards followed the royal couple as they made their way from the landing pads into Theed proper, and Bastille paid close attention to the architecture and foundations of the city. The Kemotar was intrigued by Naboo; it had no strong industrial or agricultural sector, and plasma was the only valuable resource that the planet had to boast of. Perhaps it was improper to evaluate a planet's economic power when invited to its monarch's coronation, but Bastille's determination to have Ra'Katha once again become a world of galactic repute rose above simple formalities. Yet, Bastille would be offended if he were to be labeled uncouth or rude to his gracious hosts, and so he would merely play the part of a statesman grateful for a gracious invitation.

"Shall we head to the palace, or would you like to tour the city? Perhaps you might be able to speak to Princess Leidias before the coronation begins; I'm sure that there is some anxiety for her in such a monumental day, and your words of advice could be comforting to her when spoken from a familiar mouth," Bastille said aside to his wife as they continued to walk through the lovely city. "Of course, Theed is a beautiful city. There would be no harm in partaking of it."

When Karlie Lynn Destat Karlie Lynn Destat hugged her, recognizing her, Westenra let out a little squeal of delight, hugging her back, careful not to let her superhuman strength hurt Karlie.

"I missed you also. You look wonderful as well. Just gorgeous. Love your uniform. Love the sword too..." Westenra remarked. "Mother is planning on teaching you combat...she insisted on it ever since we rescued her from Kar Shian in fact. Its just now that her schedule is finally clearing."

Westenra said no further on the subject. Nine had refused to go insane from The Amalgam's vicious physical and mental torture, but it had cost her. A mental exhaustion had set into Nine. Westenra had practically jumped at the idea when Nine suggested training Karlie. Anything to help Nine recover.

"Naboo is a beautiful place..." Westenra remarked walking with her. Then her attention shifted back to Karlie.

"How have you been doing, Karlie? I hope the donations I've been sending to your world are having the desired effect. Rom...is...well...she's been worried about you." She said to Karlie, trying to bridge the subject.

She didn't use the name Vera. Karlie had received a terrible shock realizing her crush, the very image of perfection, was actually a hyper lethal android like Westenra. Things were iffy. But Westenra felt it was time to take at least a small risk mentioning her sister.

"Karlie...I'm so sorry how it went down, between you and Rom. You have to understand...Rom was never designed to love. Mother was more surprised than anyone else when you successfully seduced Rom by attacking her with your droids and fooling her lie detection capability. Mother said you doing the latter part was near statistically impossible." She said in a low voice as they walked. "Maybe this is not exactly the best time to say it...but whatever other bullchit my sister told you...whatever else she is or has done...she is in love with you. Her programming just would not let her tell the truth directly until you finding out was inevitable..."

Westenra sighed, watching a bird chirp on a nearby branch. She reached out, but the bird, sensing her inhuman nature, flew away...leaving her with a frown.

"Mother...I love her to pieces and always will...but sometimes I hate how she made us..." Westenra confessed. "I'm sorry...I should have waited...its supposed to be a celebration. But I just want to see you around the Castle more. I missed you. So do my mother and sisters."

Vera...
Her mind were unmistakably on Vera still.

Still, Karlie had resisted inquiring if West was here alone or with a sister.
Yea, yea yea..donations...all that, fine. Karlie weren't interested in that, however grateful she were about it. But it were just small talk leading up to-
Damn it. Vera wasn't on Naboo then. It were what Karlie was picking up between the line.
Repressing her desire to ask 'where is Vera?', she nevertheless instantaneously locked her orbs on her friend's eyes a moment before realizing she were giving away her impetuous attachment to that entity's aspect.
It were a kind of split duality. Karlie as a human and scientist understood the existence of a dual or multiple personality. It were that definitive understanding that Karlie were separating Rom from Vera. Rom was her confidant, her protector, her friend. Rom had died for her..or had gotten butchered up enough to have seemingly died in Karlie's eyes. It were painful to have watched a friend get decimated like that in front of your eyes, and die in your very arms. She had wept. Wept terribly for the sacrifice Rom had made for her.

But the same had happened with Vera. The very same.
Only she loved Vera.

It weren't the fact that Vera was discovered to be a biot, one of Nine Lives Nine Lives creation...one of her daughters like Westenra.
It was-
Well it was-

Goddammit it was something she could not wrap her thoughts around the fact that she deceived her. Still, it were nothing the biot really did that had made her for in love with the Vera version. It were Karlie's heart..a human heart. And it defied any reason or sensibilities.

Rom were her friend, like west was, period.
But Karlie could not explain that to West. Hell, she couldn't even understand it herself. She were just simply crazy over Vera.

Karlie didn't press it, simply occasionally nodding to West's reasoning and explanation. She couldn't very well ask if her sister could present herself in Rom's guise. Karlie were still proud.

The crowd around them broke through her isolated thoughts with their cheering and excitement. it were enough to bring Karlie out of her somber thoughts on the matter. Ok, so Vera wasn't on Naboo.
Good, right?
Yes?...YES, good. Karlie knew she weren't ready to give in to Vera, to her own urges even. She had to remain mad at her to teach her a lesson. a lesson about pain, broken hearts and all that. Hell, she experienced it full blown. It were only right to hurt back the one you loved...right?
Gah...who really knows how the human heart works, really.

She were here now with her friend Weston Naboo, and it should be all that mattered.
This pending coronation was after all something to enjoy with a friend. And West were no doubt in Karlie's mind such a friend. Finding herself smiling.

"She made you perfect, West." No, Karlie had not witnessed or knew about Nine's daughters salacious appetite for blood. Blood that were essential to their very fabric of existence. Then again, who were Karlie to judge, who unknowingly had a near appetite for Gamorreans.
No, she didn't know that. It were a genetic trait passed down from her sister/mother...a curse. Of course her introduction to the porcine delicacy had been in a form of 'hotdogs' her mother used to serve on their picnics when she were but a child.
Keeping that in mind, who were she to judge the biot's dietary cuisine...when the time to judge presented itself. (some later story caper)

Despite the crowds and celebration horns, Karlie were focused on her friend's words. That is until the colors of the rainbow started fluttering down on them. It were ribbons, strings and patches of confetti falling on them like a snowfall in one's dreamscape. Karlie let go a moment of the built up inhibitions and started to laugh. She had never experienced such festivities, excitement from all manners of people, be they Naboo or from other systems across the galaxy.

She shook her head, with the most happiest smile she had in quite some time before looking over to Westenra.
"You know..." Naturally she took a gander as to whom were close enough to eves drop... "I didn't initially want to come here.
Honestly thought that the CIS had set up a puppet queen."
True, true, she did think that at first.

"But I don't know now...you know? I mean...look around us. There has to be at least a few dozen recognizable representations of many systems. Like...look at the behemoth (eyes referencing Ra Vizsla Ra Vizsla in the distance ) over there. Definitely not Naboo.
Like...these people..these off-worlders actually like this new queen."
Of course, Karlie had yet to know what the new queen even looked like, as she had no interest in coming here, let alone look up the new matriarch.

"Hahaha...say, nice to see some colors sticking to your gown.." She then said, pulling off one of the re and yellow ribbons that had settled on West's black weaved armored gown.
Actually, it were funny seeing the confetti falling down and settling on everything, including West;s hair and dress.

"I never had a chance to tell you before but you had a nice smile when we first met. I mean, you have that same kind of smile now too, just that with all the drama and stuff at the time-
Well, I just wanted you to know that.

And thank you for being a real friend too..." Yes, west had been a good friend. at least it were what a human would think of anyone risking life and limb for them. So what she were a lethal weapon, an illegal assassin creation of Nine. West had been there for her from the very first time they met, and no doubt would be there for her again.

As much as she wished her sister were here, sharing such a festivity with West made her feel happy again.
Besides, Nine had seemed to take to the idea Karlie had brought up in idle conversation a few weeks past that she would like to learn the skills to use the Katana that Vera had presented to her following the aftermath of the Heretic Station attack Castgne had experienced months ago...
