New Laveau, Mephout - The Commonwealth

NGhKcgy.png
Doctor Irynelle Galeway, a Deputy General with the Commonwealth Medical Service would meet with the group at the Cowell Intergalactic Starport. Dr. Galeway had given explicit instructions for their shuttle to be allowed through Commonwealth space with little harassment from border agents, including their security and customs agents who seemed to enjoy giving trouble to those not from the Commonwealth. This particular group of people were an eccelectic mix she had to admit, from both the Galactic Alliance and the newly risen Mandalorian Protectors. Their questions surrounded one particular topic; the Blackwing Virus. Mephout was all too familiar with the virus as evident by the Noxa District and the several domed areas throughout the bayou. As she headed for the lounge where the group was likely told to go. Dr. Galeway thought about just how much the Sith could have done with the virus, given who they typically had in their employ, the doctor's concern was more than warranted.

The glossy reflection of lights across the cream-colored tile distorted her silhouette as she rounded the corner of art deco-influenced columns. People, families and vendors a like moving in typical foot traffic patterns. One side going to and the other going from, the smells of cafes, and the wails of infants complied with the ever present 'bells' followed by announcements. Mephoutian Starlines Shuttle 2891 was boarding for Needan's Cape Velikaya, another bell and another announcement, Crown Starlines Shuttle to Avalonia had been delayed - a rouse of groans could be heard from the gate as the Doctor passed. On her left and right were Commandos who made sure the Doctor was given a wide berth.

Typically, security would've stopped her from going through the departure lounge, but this particular group and their mission allowed for lienencies where their normally wouldn't have been. Moments later, and she could see the group and took a deep breath, hoping to give them a quick briefing while they headed for the shuttle that would take them to the Noxa District. She entered the lounge and gave a wide, pleasant enough smile, "Dr. Irynelle Galeway, Deputy General of the Commonwealth Medical Service, welcome to Mephout. I apologize that you don't have the opporutnity at present to see New Laveau, it is a beautiful city, but we must head to the Noxa District for the answers that you seek." Her nerves shoved as far down as she could as she presented the outward positive presence of mind. "If you will follow me," she motioned for the group to follow her.

As they fell in step with her, Dr. Galeway began her briefing, "do not worry about your expenses while you are here, we understand the urgency behind your mission. Next do not worry about your chronos being out of sync, Dosuunian standard time doesn't quite work well with Coruscanti standards so your devices may need a reboot to align with our time. Lastly, please conceal lightsabers and any other weapons you may have on you. We do not have an open carry policy of any weapons here in the Commonwealth, outside of our police force and armed forces members." There was a slight pause as she turned to make sure everyone was accounted for and then pressed on both in briefing and progress toward the Starports' exit. "If our business has not concluded by the end of day, members of our Commando Corps, these wonderful men and women, on my right and left will escort you to your designated lodgings. We ask that you do not speak of your work, or as to why you are here in New Laveau with our citizens. Simply tell them that you are on vacation." She gave a nod and a smile to those they passed as she escorted the group out of the departure area, and out into the Mephoutian sun.

There large black speeders awaited them, once boarding the speeder, Dr. Galeway tapped the glass behind her to signal the driver that they were ready to depart the Starport. "In the meantime, I am happy to answer any questions that you may have." The Doctor gave them all a reassuring smile whilst the speeder began the trek toward the Noxa District.

Before she had died, Daesyn Rodarch had been an accomlished Rodarch Baar'ur, so when her friend and clanmate Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch had discussed this meeting, she was both fascinated, and eager to add her expertise to the discussion. Of course it meant dealing with the Galactic Alliance and their Jedi representatives, but it was a price worth paying in order to save lives. She walked out of her shuttle to be greeted by the local representatives, and then hurriedly ushered on to a large and fairly ominous black speeder. They had been asked to come unarmed, or at least hide their weapons, so she had done as instructed, leaving most of her armour and her weaponry at home and wearing a fairly demure jumper and trouser combo, but keeping her leg and back sections just in case. She didn't need the suit to fly, her wings would suffice, however she had shapechanged to make her glowing wings less intrusive for this event.

Daesyn looked at her pad and furrowed her brow when asked Kelora Priestly Kelora Priestly they had many questions. "I am looking at the genetic sampling data from the samples we collected near mandalore, I can see various differences in the coding for the spike proteins, has there been any success in modifying the old vaccine to match this new strain?" she tutted to herself as she moved the strand around and observed the various differences that could be seen, including key markers for genetic engineering.

Sula blinked in the efficiency of it all. It was all clean cut, official, everything was precise, even the doctor that greeted them failed to have a single hair out of place. Her dark eyes slid to her clanmate, wondering if beneath his visor he felt the same discomfort she did. It was unnatural. With no weapon to rest her hand on, the obvious once left behind, her free hand clasped around the long messy braid, the other was coiled around a large black case, from which every now and then an odd gurgling noise would come from.

She frowned at the mention of vacations and lying to the population. A dozen questions popping up in her mind; first and foremost, why? Why would they not tell the citizens what they were here fore? Secondly, did she know that mandalorians didn't take vacations? She opened her mouth to ask the questions and then remembered that the Al'verde had sent Shev with her specifically to police the words that came out of her mouth.

"I have questions." She told him under her breath. It wasn't a question or request for permission, more a statement of fact, that he needed to be aware of. The case gurgled again, she probably should have through about soundproofing it. She held onto them, her eyes shifting to the Manda'kyrja as she asked her question. Sula set the case on her lap as settled.

The polite thing to do would be to wait for the question to be answered, but Sula was not polite.

"Why do you not want us to talk about what we are here?"

"Weapons are a partif my religion." He mumbled from the back as the series of black speeders turned up. He didn't know anything about needing to pay for anything. Maybe he could get them to pay for his docking fees.

He was quiet as he handed his blaster carbine to a strange person in a suit. He was calm as they told him to not speak about what he saw. He made the determination that they would likely not want him talking about the things he had seen in other places either. He stayed near Sula. She was the only person he knew for one, and even though he would never admit it he didn't like talking to people he didn't know.

"I have questions too." He said as quietly as he could, "but you go ahead. I'll explain what I can."

The weirdest orders he'd ever received, well, perhaps not the weirdest, considering that one time the Master Warden insisted on a foot massage. Nonetheless, peculiar orders. He found himself seated in the rear of one of those ostentatious black speeders favored by the upper echelons of the Commonwealth, tasked with staring menacingly at everyone present to ensure they kept their hands to themselves. Except for Doctor Irynelle, evidently; judging by her demeanor, she wouldn't flinch even if he held his lightsaber against her throat. Surveying the others, he surmised that intimidation might not be his strong suit with this lot. Nevertheless, the Blackwing affair pertained to Sith matters, and among all the forces within the Dosuunian Commonwealth, the Dark Wardens were the most interested in Sith matters. He resolved to remain silent and listen, later he would relay any information he deemed interesting to the Master Warden.

He didn't much like the idea of Mandalorians and Jedi on Commonwealth territory. Those were strong factions with immense strenght. What was stopping them from strongarming the Commonwealth and Doctor Irynelle to do whatever served their interests? Great. Back to the menacing looks and flashing his lighsaber it was. Now the Mandalorians had questions...of course they did. He sighed. This was going to be a long day. Thankfully, the speeder was probably about to blow up if the periodic gurgling sounds were anything to go by.

NGhKcgy.png
Straight to the point, the Doctor could get behind that sort of idea, "we'll be sharing with you all the research and information that we've collected thus far regarding our own studies of the Blackwing. However, this information will not be given freely, there are a few things that the Commonwealth has interest in. General Ranulph Tarkin and Representative Ivalyn Yvarro will be meeting with us at the Noxa District, Galeway looked directly at Daesyn Rodarch Daesyn Rodarch and answered, "we have not seen the sample, so you have us at a disadvantage. What we can provide you will be the blueprints for our vaccine. We've continually updated our vaccine to match the strains we discover here. Whether those proteins match the strain you've been dealt remains to be seen. However, the mRNA within the Blackwing remains constant, with luck your own strain has not been so drastically modified that we cannot come up with something while you are here."

Then to the other Mandalorians, "while we respect all religions, we do not believe one religion should have a benefit over others. Thus, we ask that you conceal your weapons while in the Commonwealth. Or you can meet with our local authorities, the choice is yours. As for the rest, our citizens, while aware, lurk outside our city walls. Are skeptical of those beyond our borders, the guise of tourists allows both you and them comfort and minimizes the risk of anyone getting hurt. You'll find most Commonwealth citizens are typically more concerned with their own devices." If the consumerism and propaganda around the everyday person wasn't enough the education system did the rest of the work.

Her gaze shifted over toward the Dark Warden. Thankfully, like most of the Commonwealth Guild members they were on a leash and their duties were to the people. It was practically baked into their motto, life before death, strength before weaknesses and journey before destination, all of it was geared toward service. The speeders they were in, in good strength, carried onward silently driving through the city, a sign welcomed them into the Old First Imperial District and they drove right past the Carney Morgan Imperial Academy, the sign was in the process of being changed to the Carney Morgan Commonwealth Academy. Protestors were on either side of the street; one argued for keeping the Imperial part of the name, while others believed it was time to progress beyond the First Order.

As the speeders became part of a larger convoy, they approached the Financial District. Here, larger armored vehicles manned by the Commonwealth Army stood guard, ensuring the convoy's safety. Traffic forced a temporary halt in front of the imposing Great Galactic War Museum. Its grand facade, enclosed by a U-shaped wall, prominently displayed the emblems of two nations: one adorned with the old Galactic Alliance logo, while the other proudly showcased the First Order emblem.

Tour guides bustled about, leading groups through the museum's entrance. They passionately narrated the history of the Great Galactic War, recounting pivotal events such as the tragic demise of Sioux Chambers on Kaeshana and the war's tumultuous beginnings. Towering statues depicting First Order Stormtroopers, their hands extended toward First Order Medical Service personnel, cast imposing shadows as the speeder surged forward within the convoy's ranks.

The reflections in the glass spoke to the skyscrapers, the mixed-matched architecture of decades past. Sounds of TIE fighters could be heard launching nearby, "likely the 12th Starfighter wing or members of the 8th Starfighter Force, there are several military bases not far from here."

Danger's right leg crossed over her left, the tight black pencil skirt stretching taunt over her generous curves as Danger sat curiously listening to the briefing. The speeder ride was remarkably comfortable, allowing the Queen of Trade to review the details provided for the Caldera Crisis expedition and what the good Doctor would answer.

Danger decided to gather as much information as possible before asking questions. There was so much to go through. Pharmatech and Arkuhn Medical were tasked under Arceneau Trade to assist. As Myra and Makai were busy overseeing reconstruction efforts in the Centrality, Danger was assigned the task of overseeing part of her company directly. She didn't want Myra to have to deal with any issues regarding the undead; she already had enough trouble with her PTSD and the nightmares her brush with them again on Celadon gave her.

Feline emerald fire eyes would swivel back with avid curiosity on what the Commonwealth stood for and what interest it had. It was standard for Danger to be equally cordial to anyone who wanted to conduct business with her or if they had a mind for benefit the interests of the greater good; in this instance, finding some cure for the strain of the undead virus. There was information in the Black Codex that perhaps might be useful, but until they could pinpoint the origin and if possible a cure, they were all walking in this blind.

Modified TL-50 heavy repeater, 2x SE-44C blaster pistols

Kurayami blended in with the rest of the security detail for the most part. What may be noticeable to others was that the armor was slightly different and the carriage of dual blaster pistol in addition to his primary heavy repeater. The rifle was slung over his left shoulder, and the two pistols holstered securely on either hip. The black armor shined with brushed aurodium accents, a symbol reminiscent of the Commonwealth sunburst in the center of the chestplate shone radiantly. He spoke little as they boarded the transports, listening to the others as they spoke. Shev made him almost laugh with his comment about weapons being his religion. Sula's question made perfect sense, but was also one he was sure was going to be addressed in short order, so he didn't dare say anything. Daesyn admittedly had the most interesting query out of the group so far and one he felt he had a chance to answer so he used the chance to speak up.

"As someone who has fought the Blackwing created 'zombies' for lack of a better term, on more than one occasion, I can say that the current vaccine is close enough that it is at least somewhat effective combating this strain. Perhaps because I have fought it in more than one incarnation I am not the best test case, but I can say that having been one of those to help on Mephout to contain the hordes, I have been attacked and bitten and not needed any new treatments, nor have I received any experimental treatments for this seemingly new strain that has popped up even after having been bitten during a recent operation I can say there has been no sign of infection in my case. Beyond that I am unable to disclose any details to you as those are classified unfortunately ma'am."

Kurayami leaned back and watched the faces of those around him, perhaps Shev and Sula would recognize the voice, maybe not, but if so it would definitely be fun to see their reaction to the fact that he was here in full armor and also fully armed. He was expecting a few questions at least if they realized who he was.

Valery was largely surrounded by people she didn't know, though at least they were on a planet somewhat familiar to her. The Commonwealth had offered its aid and while she wasn't quite sure just where it'd lead, they at least needed to try. She trusted in Lio and she knew that anybody understood the stakes. The undead army of the Sith Order could not be allowed to spread, or no world would ever truly be safe again.

On the opposite row of seats, directly in front of her, there was one face Valery did recognize. She had offered Danger Arceneau Danger Arceneau a polite smile, but opening up conversation after what happened last time was... tricky.

Very tricky.

So, rather than make the room even more tense, Valery crossed one leg over the other and sat back into her seat. She drew in a deeper breath, relaxed her posture and listening to the ongoing conversation. Her expectations were for it to go beyond her own medical understanding at some point, but perhaps she still had something useful to offer.

She had plenty of encounters with the undead already, after all.

Feline green eyes settled upon Valery Noble Valery Noble , a sense of familiarity washing over Danger's features. It had been some time since she last saw the Grandmaster, and back then, she had been heavily pregnant. Now, it seemed that Master Noble had given birth. The tension of the Gala's end results lingered in her memory, especially considering the circumstances between Judah and her husband, but with time, perspective came.

A genuine smile graced Danger's full lips as she greeted the Grandmaster with a honeyed drawl, "I reckon congratulations are in order, Master Noble, for the birth of your child?" she inquired, genuine curiosity coloring her words. There was a packaged gift she had crafted, one she still had to hand over to Valery. It was aboard her ship, as she had gone to collect the last Force Tree from the bio-dome in the Centrality for the gift.

"I understand times are chaotic, but I do hope your family is faring well."

Daesyn nodded as Kelora Priestly Kelora Priestly discussed their own findings. Her data was packeted and and ready to send. "I am curious about what the commonwealth might want in exchange for sharing the information. To put any sorts of barriers in front of defeating this plague... it's a bold decision." she curled her smile and raised an eyebrow curiosly before placing her pad back down. They would share information later, Daesyn was not interested in politics, she was interested in saving lives, unfortunately politics were sometimes unavoidable.

Kurayami Bloodborn Kurayami Bloodborn had some interesting insights of his own to share on his encounters with Blackwing, she listened intently and was genuinely fascinated. She raised her hand in a gesture of acceptance as he mentioned the classified nature of further discussion, she knew what those situations were about. "That is very interesting, there has been limited field testing of the vaccine. Have you had any after effects at the bite location? I think I would quite like to examine your records at some point, with your consent.

May I ask, are you a force sensitive?"
she smiled, making mental notes, the force complicated vaccines, of course it helped that some creatures could naturally use the force to resist disease, but it made it hard to tell whether it was the vaccine doing the work or something else entirely.

The speeder travelled onwards and Daesyn shuffled in her seat, the luxurious high backed chairs were not ideal for her backplate even in its folded state she could remove it but that in itself just seemed an annoyance given their short journey.

Valery perked up when she heard the unmistakable accent addressing her. She turned to the redhead, surprise in her eyes for a moment, but soon offered a smile instead. Despite what happened last time they met, it seemed that some people were able to move on with time. It instantly relieved Valery of the weight she felt on her heart, and her smile gradually began to brighten as a result.

"Oh yes, little Eryx has been with us for a while now," Valery said with that motherly warmth in her voice and in her eyes. Whenever she discussed her family, whether it was her husband or her children, she couldn't ever stop herself from radiating pure love and joy.

They were her everything.

"The family is doing well. We're adjusting to having a new baby, especially with how jealous he can be, but I wouldn't change it for anything." Valery chuckled and reached for her necklace, "Would you like to see a picture of him?" She always loved seeing pictures of parents with their little ones, so maybe Danger did, too. If she showed interest, Valery would activate the projector inside the necklace and show an image of the little baby.

Green eyes, black hair, and little arms stretched out towards his Mom.

There it was, the unmistakable glow of a mother lighting up Valery Noble's face. Danger's smile widened,
her nod conveying a silent agreement to see Eryx's holographic pictures. "I'd love to."

Valery eagerly activated the projector, revealing an adorable image of a chubby-cheeked baby with green eyes, black hair, and tiny arms outstretched toward his mother.

"He's absolutely beautiful," Danger remarked, her feline green eyes softening as she gazed at the image. Memories of her own lost babies flickered in her mind, a bittersweet pang in her heart. While Makai, Myra, and Rue were her entire universe, she couldn't help but think of Fiona and Remi, the children she never got to hold.

"I'm so glad to see your family thrivin'," Danger continued, offering her sincere congratulations. "You've recovered remarkably well."

It was then that Danger mentioned the gift she'd been preparing, "I have somethin' for you as well. I 'pologize for the delay, but matters have been rather hectic lately with family and business. Makai and Myra are plannin' on tyin' the knot in a couple of months. " She paused, briefly mentioning Makai and Myra's engagement and their upcoming wedding plans. Fast for a turnaround, but that's what the kid wanted, not so much for Judah Dashiell Judah Dashiell .

Instead, the elder Dashiell had a massive argument with Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell , resulting in the old Salvager leaving for a nunnery of all things.

The city raced by reflected along the tinted windows of the speeder. Conversations waxed and waned, and as they left the city behind the aerial escort became more obvious. Newer fighters of neither Imperial nor Alliance inspired designs hovered overhead, and behind the speeders the closed ranks of army vehicles would have felt slightly more ominous. Doctor Galeway explained, "we will soon be entering the Noxa District," and there looming overhead a large solid steel dome with five meter high, four meter thick duracrete walls, barbed wires and watch towers sat before them. On the left and the right in the distance smaller steel domes, but all highly guarded those sensitive to the Force would feel something akin to oppression almost like something sitting on their chest. "The Noxa District is a result of the second Mephoutian breakout of the Blackwing. The First Order was called to rein it in. The NoxaCorp in their decision to pursue a vaccine had a breach of security which resulted in their original facility being overrun. Since then the facility has been purged and as you see additional security measures erected."

"Each steel dome you see contain the living virus, it was the First Order's way of containing the problem." She grew quiet as they approached the checkpoint. "Please do not be alarmed this vehicle will be inspected." She explained just before black armored commandos boarded the speeder looking at each person carefully. They stopped by Valery Noble Valery Noble and then looked over at the Deputy General, "do you have clearance for this Jedi?"

"I do, she is on the manifest as sent prior to her arrival," she informed the Commando, he stopped and opened a small communication device on his gauntlet. He flipped through a few screens, and then nodded in acknowledgement and activated his thermal scans and looked around the speeder.

The Commando headed out of the speeder, "everything checks out, good to ma'am."

When the door closed, Doctor Galeway elaborated, "that feeling you have, for those among us who are sensitive to the Force is deliberate. Due to the uncertain nature of Blackwing as you are aware. The Commonwealth's Guild of Force Users has asked local Orders to do what they can to ensure it doesn't escape these facilities. Dark Wardens, and Mephoutian Orders such as the Black Knights, and the Brotherhood of Angels have made sure that should any Force sensitivity be among the infected be suppressed."
bPHmwi8.png

The speeder and its convoy entered through a gate that had been raised for them. The compound would come into view as the convoy pulled through the drive. Commando escorts poured out from the convoys and headed to their respective stations, those designated to keep the Deputy General safe remained. Members of the Mephoutian Territorial Defence Fore remained standing at attention waiting for the visitors to disembark. On approach to the group, General Ranulph Tarkin and Representative Ivalyn Yvarro flanked on either side by their own security details. General Ranulph Tarkin spoke first, "General Ranulph Tarkin, Commonwealth Army, welcome to Mephout, while we are happy to receive visitors, we wish it had been under better circumstances."

"Representative Ivalyn Yvarro, liaison of Her Majesty Kelora Priestly and High Commissioner Vhondryl Gallaer they regret that they are unable to meet with you in person today." And so she had been sent to ensure that everything went smoothly and that the Commonwealth would recieve what it wanted in exchange for aiding the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorian Protectors. "Please, let us all proceed inside the facilities, there is much to discuss I'm sure." She gestured for the group to follow her, Ivalyn only gave the briefest of nods toward Valery coupled with a soft smile.

Through the solarium glasteel doors and into the facility Ivalyn Yvarro, General Ranuplh Tarkin and Deputy General Galeway led the group upstairs to a conference room. Guards were posted around the room, and four members, two from the Black Knights and another two from the Brotherhood the latter wearing a heavier suit of armor were outside the door. The guards weren't there to necessarily keep the guests from hurting the rather esteemed members of the Commonwealth. They were there just in case something happened their priority was to get their guests out and off world as quickly as possible. A risk, the ever so esteemed members of the Commonwealth were well aware of.

Doctor Galeway and General Tarkin were on either side of Representative Ivalyn Yvarro who stood at the head of a circular conference table. "Her Majesty is aware of your reasons for being here, and she is prepared to offer Mephout's facilities in which to manufacture any and all potential vaccines, in addition to sharing what Mephout knows of the Blackwing, but," paused Ivalyn as she activated the holoprojector from the middle of table and side stepped to show what it was the Commonwealth wanted from each group represented.

"General Tarkin," she yielded the floor to him.

General Tarkin looked around the room for a moment and then pressed on, "the Commonwealth faces a rather common foe for all of us here, the Sith Order. They are at our gates at this very moment our worlds of Najarka and Salteract are under high pressure from them. Our militaries are ready and able, we've set contingencies in place, Field Marshal Gregory Navikov Gregory Navikov is on Najarka at this very moment preparing for battle at a moment's notice, however; we lack modern armor."

He showed them the old armor, "this is all we have, and it's been dwindling greatly since the Reclamation Campaign well over thirty years ago. We are manufacturing this but as you can see before you with new colors and perhaps a few additional modifications. We fear it will not be enough to hold up to the horde that is the Sith Order."

"This is where you, the Mandalorian Protectors come in handy," he gave them a polite enough smile, "you are known throughout the galaxy for your armor, it is not I would like to point out, your beskar that we wish to have. What we want is the methodology in which you create your armor. We would like your help in designing new armor for our Marine Commandos, Army and Territorial Defence Forces."

He looked over toward Representative Yvarro who took the floor, and thanked the General.

"Arceneau Trade Company, you may have seen some of your products as you've come through these very gates, Her Majesty wishes to personally offer the Arceneau Trade Company exclusive real estate, and tax breaks to not only bring your company's manufacturing here, but to also secure a trade deal for several items of note the details of which she wishes to discuss more formally between you, your represenatives and our Secretary-General of Economic Affairs, I will also be present just to ensure Her Will is followed." That is to make sure the Secretariat doesn't decide to make any deals that would not be a boon to the Commonwealth.

"Finally, to the Galactic Alliance," Ivalyn looked over toward the Jedi Master, "as General Tarkin has mentioned, the Sith Order is at our doorstep, and as you have seen yourself Master Jedi. The Commonwealth can build wonderful ships, we would like to offer the Galactic Alliance. Port within our sphere in which to operate, we can offer housing, and manufacturing capabilities if you need. As much as we believe we can take the Sith on our own, Her Majesty is not willing to risk the lives of her people."

"She would like to humbly speak with you and any of your legislative representatives for any assistance you could offer." Ivalyn looked around to the room of people presented before her. "I understand that for most of you this is your first time in the Commonwealth, but this place is my home, our home." She gestured toward General Tarkin and Dr. Galeway, "we are doing what we can to defend our homes, our livelihoods, we will do all that we can to assist you in your quest to vanquish this virus. All that we ask in return is to help us in our fight against the Sith Order when the day arrives that they push through our defenses."

"Oh, ok." He said relaxing behind the emotionless T-shape of his visor. "Clan hydra can help. Sula knows about the virus and my armor is my life. We should be able to point out anything we see that could improve your work."

He elbowed his clan mate gently for no real reason other than a physical release of tension and to remind himself she was there, he would pretend it was a prompt to speak.

"He is," Valery said, the warm smile lingering for as long as she looked at the pictures. She had so many more of them, both of little Eryx and the rest of her family, but she wasn't going to drop that all on Danger. Once she started, Valery knew she'd have a difficult time to stop. Her family was her everything — the strength she needed during these times of war, and the love and affection that her heart had always desired.

They had given her life the most purpose.

"Thank you, and I'm glad you think so." Valery looked down at her body for a moment and chuckled. Muscle was already there in abundance, and while her body had certainly changed in certain ways, she felt physically fit enough to be a Jedi again. "I've had triplets before, and that was a lot harder than handling just Eryx." Pictures still existed of what she had looked like, carrying three little ones.

It was wild to think it was even possible.

The mention of a gift caused Valery to blink. After what happened last time, she had thought about bringing a gift along? Valery tilted her head and smiled, "Something for me? You're much too kind," Valery said. Somehow, her smile brightened up even further when she mentioned Myra and Makai's future plans.

"That's wonderful news. I'm very happy for them, and for you!"

But her joy couldn't last forever. As they approached the checkpoint, Valery turned in her seat to look at the armored commandos approaching. They were quick to spot her and the way she was addressed made her narrow her eyes. Lips parted to speak, but before she could utter a word, she was cleared by their host.

Valery decided to keep her thoughts to herself and looked at Danger with a smirk.

"It seems it's time to get serious," she said before she continued to listen. The General took his time to address each person, and soon enough, he called upon the Jedi Master as well. Though with a request she couldn't really authorize on her own — she was no military leader.

But whatever was shared today, she could forward it to the right people.

The overwhelming feeling of oppression everytime that Kurayami had gone to the Noxa DIstrict was...well less than thrilling. It was never a feeling he had managed to get completely used to though he had managed to learn how to compartmentalize it well enough so as to not affect him too greatly. Still, in the back of his mind there was a sense of lingering dread due to feeling those who had once been sensitive and been cut off after being infected by the Blackwing Virus. Suppressing Force sensitivity was rarely something that gave enough of a result to make it completely useful in such a situation. It was quite eerie in that way. He shook his head and turned his attention to Daesyn Rodarch Daesyn Rodarch when she replied to him.

"Ma'am, respectfully, my consent has no bearing on who reads my records. I am a member of a special operations unit and as such, report directly to Ms. Priestly herself. She is the only one who has access to or can grant access to my records. So far as being Force sensitive is concerned, that I can answer with a yes."

After the short exchange he was quiet for the rest of the ride waiting for the convoy come to a complete stop. Once it had finally done so, Kurayami remained seated and stock still as they were boarded by the commando teams. He nodded towards the Commando who scanned them and once all was said and done he stood and casually grabbed the strap of the TL-50 on his shoulder as he moved to disembark from the transport, falling in line slightly behind Doctor Galeway and Icam Solace Icam Solace , just a couple steps but enough to give a comfortable amount of space. Keeping pace with the group he smirked beneath his helmet as he saw a very familar face. His niece was at this gathering, and he was not surprised that she was, her acumen in the political arena was quite good. General Tarkin was also here, though he was less sure as to why, but that would be explained soon. He simply shrugged as the two introduced themselves and they made their way into the compound.

Though oddly beautifl in its own right, compounds like this always had a stifling, sterile feel to the Corellian pilot. Granted, that likely had to do with the fact that he spent much of his time bouncing around the stars from one odd job to another. As the meeting began to take shape he stood strangely in the middle of the two groups at the table. Ivalyn may understand his reasons, but the others would likely be confused as to why he made such a choice.

Danger mirrored Valery Noble's smile with one of her own, a subtle nod accentuating her agreement. "Mmm, it is," she concurred, her voice carrying a hint of warmth. "Persie and Rue, a niece of mine and my youngest, are being entertained by the wedding’ planning’. We've been stayin’ at the Centrality lately - took a long term contract to reconstruct and rehabilitate the Scar Worlds left in ruins by the Bryn'adul Crusade."

As they came to a stop and instructions were given to proceed, Danger gave another nod, acknowledging the Grandmaster's astute observation that it was time to address the serious matter at hand.

Rising gracefully, Danger ambled forward with her slow, full-hipped walk, her demeanor poised and composed as she prepared to engage in the forthcoming discussion.

Feline green eyes would notice a multitude of Arceneau Trade products used throughout the building. There was a subtle smile of pride in that her companies have come so far. Business was good and Danger intended that to continue.

Walking alongside the brunette, Danger was oblivious to what may be felt by Force users, but she could tell from the subtle nuances from their expressions that perhaps it had to do with some sort of force suppression. Arceneau trade and Vanir Industries manufactured such products so Danger knew what that meant.

A glance to Valero was sense to see what she would do.

However upon hearing ATC’s name, Danger listened with calm consideration at the offer.

“I would be pleased to discuss such a relationship with your Security General of Economic affairs and you, General Tarkin,”
Danger replied with a cordial smile and a nod.

“At your leisure should you desire after this assembly or another time,”.
There were others here who also would want to discuss matters, but the focus was on a cure for the virus and what Arceaneau can do to help.
