"Oh I'm fine. No need to worry about me for now." she responded, feeling a sense of pleasure swell within her at the thought of having another Jedi that would look out for her. Rasu had been gone too long, and the events that had taken place during her absence haunted the Shi'ido consistently. There would be no simple way to rid herself of these thoughts. She knew that only through time, as well as patience, would she see herself reach a sane, guilt-free mind. However, she could not help but long for the east way out.

Bringing herself out of her thought tirade, she focused back on Matsu, offering the kindly Jedi a heart-warming smile. Rasu had not known much of the Atrisian during their time as defenders of the Republic, but due to their defection and the creation of the Sanctum, the Shi'ido had learned to be truly grateful to the presence of Matsu, happily adding the Master to her growing list of life-long friends.

"Thank you though Matsu, it means a lot." Smiling again as she spoke with the woman. "Well I'm definitely done to death with rest, so how about I come along and help you out. I'll keep you company." Offering her assistance, the Shi'ido brushed the sand from her legs before wrapping a thin cloak around her body, covering the exposed emerald skin. When Matsu was around, everything was sure to be a great time, and Rasu wouldn't dare miss out.

Objective A: Help the people of Freetown
Location: Freetown

The denantium puddle was observing everything with the fascination of a small child.

So many different kinds of objects! So many different kind of animals! The polydroxol wanted to try and mimic the form of each.

The young polydroxol had been allowed to accompany the giants who referred to themselves as Antarian Rangers. Now, the polydroxol had no idea what an 'Antarian' was. Or a 'Ranger' for that matter, but it certainly sounded both official and impressive.

As the puddle shifted and moved along the back of the cargo speeder, the Antarian Ranger giants were off-loading crates and boxes of aid supplies. The polydroxol had already mimicked the form of the boxes though. It was a very interesting shape. Very... cubic.

A giant -- human? -- walked by, a line of some sort connecting it to a smaller quadruped that was at the end of the leash. Blossoming upward, and then out, the puddle stood on the back seat of the cargo speeder and assumed the approximate shape of a canine. Complete with a whip-like metal tail that was swishing from side to side.

Padding around the the other side of the speeder, the mercury-like dog leaned its head out over the side, peering out at the work being done by the Rangers. The canine melted back into the formless puddle, as it poured over the side of the speeder to drop onto the ground below. As the puddle watched, a Ranger came over. Placed his arms on either side of a box. Lifted. And then walked back in the direction he'd come from.

Flowing upward, the puddle appeared for a moment to be a waterfall in reverse. From out of the formless blob of denantium, a humanoid form began to take shape. Staring down at the silvery, metallic hands for a moment, the polydroxol walked forward on its legs.

The figure wavered and bent with the awkward step, trying to find equilibrium as it paused to adjust the balance of its mass. Then it took a second step, somewhat more confidently than the first. Then it reached out toward a box.

Lifting the object off the cargo palette, the polydroxol turned around, curious as to what it should do now.

Matsu looked at her and focused on the thought of working a few things. "That would be lovely." A smile on her face before she rose up and held the finger stinger on her hand before she checked it out. "Think it looks good?" She was certain of most of the things within it but thre was always a need to do some work as Matsu moved with it and tapped a rock letting the stinger of the device spread out and crack the rocks surface. Spider webbing out as the force sharpened tip pushed the force energy onto the rock. Collapsing and compressing it until it was gone and she backed away. "Thanks to Corvus sharing with me I found notes to a technique the jedi used on cabinets to create more space." Most of the hard work for it before sh looked back at Rasu. "We have a lot of different efforts for construction that could use a master of the force. Buildings to help people and stare the supplies, gear that jedi can use for missions and most important finding ways to better observe and find ones who are force sensitive to offer them the chance to join out here on the outer rim."

She was watching him run off while looking at him before turning back to the slavers and reaching out to keep them there ready for processing. "Stay." Her voice was like a trainer keeping a pet instead of people while keeping them bound together and going over to the slaves. The black bodyglove getting some gasps and laments but they knew she was here with the jedi while she opened the cage with a slash of the saber feeling them shove past and one embrace her as the jedi knight didn't know what to say. A child thanking her before they were milling about and she spoke. "There are jedi strike teams around the jungle, I suggest you stay close though as we have a beacon here. Sakura medics and healers will be along shortly to aid you." She moved over taking a seat while working on the force with her saber and sigil on her neck. The wounds she could start checking as they were forming a line. "Until they arrive I'll be able to check you over."

Rasu gazed in wonder, watching curiously as the device sprang to life. The Jedi held a hand up to shield her eyes as the rock shattered, spraying fragmented stone in all directions. This creation truly was powerful, knowing that Matsu would ultimately find the perfect use for such power in the troubled times that lay ahead. It worried her at how chaotic the galaxy had become. Her life had been surrounded by conflict and thus far she could see no end to the fighting. Of course, she knew why there would be no end, however this did not stop her from hoping.

Putting aside her dull mood, she turned to Matsu upon hearing the need of a sanctuary for troubled force-users. This far into the Outer Rim, Voss would have been the point of call, however the idea of creating such a place on Arkas intrigued the woman. Memories flooded back to her time as Headmistress on Tython, persuading her to recreate such a place on this world. Looking at her fellow Jedi with renewed enthusiasm, she expressed her excitement.

"Why I like the sound of that Matsu. Let's find a suitable spot for an enclave?" Reaching out to the Force as she spoke, Rasu began expanding her consciousness, scanning for potential locations. "It can be our contribution to the people of Arkas. A place of solace on a world corrupted by scum and villains."

Matsu was looking at her with a smile on her face to that, yes they had a plan and many of the things before she slid a small case out of her pack setting the finger piece in. The cushion holding it while she could find a use for it but there was a danger in making force weapons... side rom them being harder to destroy by normal means you risked whatever effects they had being used against the living and that was something she didn't want to see. It could get rid of rocks in a rockslide or fallen debris to rescue others as she was sliding it int her equipment pack. THe jedi master had one of the drones come while she offered a hand to Rasu so they could fly up to scout and find a place to begin building the enclave. "We'll have a better view from the air."

Technically, Makai had been around as an NPC for some time now(before Theo AND before his parents were married), mainly as a toddler. PC upgrade then the writer just gave him a 7th birthday to "age" the kid a little bit. I mean, Judah and Thessa can't be growing old too quickly. Can you imagine them being parents to a teenager? Its hard just to imagine them being parents at all....Really, Zak's writer should cut himself some slack and enjoy writing a cool little dude...

Right, where were we?....Anyways....

Only Theo would get carried out to sea. Makai supposed at one point or another the boy was going to have to actually get in the water and try out the board. It would be best to get into the water as well, at least up to his belly button. Makai wasn't sure of the older boys swimming skills and it was easy to get confused once you wiped out on a board. The only difference was, he had gills to keep him from drowning.

"Umm....look for one thats starting to build towards you...kinda flat. Don't pick a big one..."

At least not until he had more practice.

Objective D: Operation S.U.R.F.B.O.A.R.D.

Zak wasn't going to be much help on this one.

He went body surfing from time to time, but didn't spend a lot of time in the surf. So, hopefully Makai knew what he was talking about. The important part was getting wet. Hopping up into the air, the small Nautolan spun in mid-air, pointed outward, planted and shouted, "To... THE WATER!"

...which was when he realized he was pointing inland.

Another hop. Spin. "That way!" the boy said, correcting himself. Then he took off for the surf, motioning for the other two to follow.

Sighing heavily, the hooded figure fished out a pair of restraints, binding the Nautolan's hands behind his back, and his ankles together. After ensuring his quarry was unlikely to flee anywhere for the time being, he'd take a seat in the sand next to the unconscious form. Reaching up into his hood, gloved fingers would gingerly prod and poke the still healing region he'd been shot earlier. Fur was still growing back into place, and some of the scorched tissue remained to flake away, but all in all, his master had done a marvelous job healing the wound. He was quite thankful for her mentoring in the healing arts.

For now though, he'd rest, and recover his expended stamina. Too much exertion, in too short a period. His indomitable spirit, and typically dauntless stamina, could only endure so much punishment. And the limit is where he now stood, seated in the sand, watching the waves roll in. In the back of his mind, he'd hope to not have to reveal himself, maskless, to his peers just yet, though if it was Krest, the red-skinned Zabrak, seated down the shore, at least he knew of Ryn's identity from their duel.

The masked padawan, presently maskless, was still not quite prepared to exist among the Jedi fully open. Not just yet.

Théo's head turned to each side as his friends swam in the water beside him. A smile beamed on his face, this day was just getting better and better! Good friends, surf, sun, sand, there was only one thing missing..

Turning back to the waves, Théo remembered Makai's words, Keep looking straight ahead, keep paddling .. just keep paddling.

"...look for one thats starting to build towards you...kinda flat. Don't pick a big one..."

"How do I know if it going to*crack* be a big one!?". The words only just left his mouth with the wave swelled underneath him and it was like he was flying. The board, with Théo on it, took off toward the beach. Ok, this is it! this is it! ... "What do I do again!", he yelled out before wildly laughing his head off.

His hands came up by his chest and he pushed up in one motion pulling his legs up and under at the same time. His arms flung out to try and balance but the board began to wobble as the wave began to grow and grow. Théo would disappear from view as he went down on the other side of the wave, but what the boys would see would be a flying surf board, spiraling high in the air. Théo had not secured the board to his leg.

Under the water, swirling and tumbling is Théo. He is not scared as he can see the light of the sun on the agitated surface, and soon the ocean spat him out on the sand in a sprawling heap. All Théo wanted to do was laugh and he did not hold back. "Awesome!", he yelled out as loud as his lungs would allow. His head popped up as he rested on his elbows looking for his friends.

Sea monsters! In this particular case the beast looked a bit like a big, hungry shark. This was probably for the best because after her experiences on Tash-Taral, Sumiko was not in the mood to face another tentacle monster.

Hentai was so not her thing.

Anyhow, the beast was hungry and shooting straight towards her. Its mouth full of massive choppers looked threatening. No time to dodge it, so Sumiko steadied her breathing and drew upon the power of space magic, err, the Force. In this particular case she rolled a D20 and cast Illusion Spell of Torture. Her mental talons cut through the mind of the beast as she clawed her way into it.

The creature hissed loudly and in pain when it felt like it was being impaled by harpoons. To the beast, it would feel extremely real. The noise was almost deafening and Sumiko's eardrums were terribly abused, but she persevered as the beast went mad with pain. These waters had been the beast's hunting ground for so long, and all the death fed her power, which she directed towards the beast's brain with a mental shockwave.

However, her victory was short-lived as the beast's cadavre floated through the ocean. For suddenly another shark creature was attacking her, for it had used her distraction. She felt a warning through the Force, but it was not enough and so the beast's sharp choppers suddenly bite into her thigh.

Ouch. White hot pain flooded her as sliced into her leg, drawing blood and flesh. Luckily for her, she reacted before it could tear her leg off. Her response came in form of a powerful Force Scream. The shockwave slammed into the creature with terrible force and knocked it away from her. Some of its choppers had remained embedded inside her thigh, blood seeped out.

Blood. was life; blood was power. Yes, draw upon it, the sword whispered into her mind, lending its dark power to her. The blood suddenly took on a darker colour as she drew upon its power. Dark mist rose up from far beneath the waters, fuelled by all the deaths that had taken place here. The mist soon solidified into dark tendrils.

She lashed out with waves of blackness, driving long slithers of poison into the beast. The black, serpent-like tendrils lashed out again and again, filling its body with excruciating agony. They were fanged, illusory vipers that looked and felt real. Once they had sunk in their teeth, the poison coursed through the beast's body, like lava in its vein. The beast could not even cry out to give voice to the agony it was feeling. Then Souldrinker was brutally rammed into the beast's skull when she finally put the beast out of its misery.

Slavers

There was a whole lot of work going through some of the things now. The medics and healers from Sakura arriving as they started setting up aid stations and tents. some of them bringing in the medical caskets they could treat the severely injured in before taking them back to the massive ships that were setting down. Something crossed her face though while one was bringing her a case with more equipment and the jedi knight bowed taking the time. "See to it that they are taken aboard and treated. We'll finish up here and designate medical relief areas for the Sakura healers." She got some nods from the healers as rangers were coming to defend them and take the slavers into custody.

Feth. Getting bitten by the shark's choppers sodding hurt. The shark perished as she drove Souldrinker through its skull. Gripping the sword tight she pulled it out, then drew upon the Force to give herself speed and stem the bleeding. She could not see to her wound out in the open, so she quickly swam towards the nearby column of rock, which she suspected was some sort of cave. Finding her suspicion confirmed as she approached a large opening of rock, she broke water.

Truly, the cave was very lovely. It was a beautiful place, set with colourful crystals, old stone construction of an ancient design and a pocket of gas was lit by phosphorescent algae, which glowed a faint blue. The Atrisian came ashore at what passed for ground in the cave and removed her breath mask.

Behold, there was oxygen! Taking a very deep breath. Dark Repair worked her wound over as she pulled out the piece of teeth still embedded inside her flesh, then sought to close the wound. The Dark Side was not meant for healing and so the process was painful, but she persevered through gritted teeth.

Finally as the wound was sealed shut, she heard screeches and gnawing coming from inside the cave behind some rocks. The source of the noise became clear when...armed skeletons clad in archaic, dust-covered and somewhat rusty armour appeared on scene. Oh, how cliched. The Dark Side surged inside her and Force Drain tendrils leapt everywhere!

Hangar Bay, Stormfire-class Assault Frigate Watchkeeper, in orbit via Arkas

It felt odd to be out of the Republic uniform, and odder yet to be in any military uniform at all. The blonde man fiddled with the wrist straps of his gray Lucerne Labs jumpsuit, a baggy thing that Gir had first mistook for a duffel bag. All around him, the other members of Lucerne Lab's security forces finished donning their own jumpsuits, back-up regulators, and emergency dive equipment. Captain Welche walked up to him and handed the man a sonic blaster.

"Every been undersea before?" asked Welche.

"I have. I grew up on a water world, after all," reminded Gir, double-checking the weapon's settings before stuffing it into his holster.

"But I bet it was never with one of these."

Gir turned to watch the last Explorer Submergible march up a ramp into a waiting dropship. Explorer Submergible...bit of a misnomer...but that would be the old Empire for you. At least it will work well enough for our purposes. I doubt the mines around Tripoli base were devised to deal with these types of machines...The former Republic officer turned his eyes back to Welche and let a smile slowly cross his face.

"There's always a first time for everything."

"He probably will, but there's no reason to force it on them." That was all Krest said to the blond man before accepting the treat bag. With a grin the Zabrak broke into it, muching on the delectable goodies. He had a huge love for food after all, so much so that he almost missed the cat man and his pounce into the water. But he did, and with Valae's comment on who it was he couldn't help but stare. Yes! The cat man! He knew him. Blue eyes watched as he tried to hide himself though, and with a slight chuckle the Zabrak went to his food. If he didn't want to be found out, Krest wouldn't. "Who ever they are they seem to prefer being alone. No reason to bother them at this point in time, right?"

Without a second thought, Rasu clasped onto Matsu's hand and jumped beside her fellow Jedi Master. While the probe wasn't large, it had enough room to fit both woman atop it's head, allowing Rasu plenty of time to balance herself as it left the ground. Minutes went by as the probe climbed higher into the sky, with the landscape expanding rapidly below them. Sand and ocean molded into one as the scene below was overcome by the sparkling blue sea, however Rasu's attention turned to what lay in front of her.

Scattered islands lay before her, each one with a different array of distinguishing features. The islands appeared to be a prime spot for the creation of an enclave, providing sufficient isolation that would allow for protection and defense in times of strife. This isolation would also provide the peace needed for Jedi to meditate and study at an optimal level. Turning to Matsu she pitched her idea, hoping that this would make their job easier.

"Why don't we narrow our search towards the surrounding islands? The enclave would be separated from the conflicts of the slavers and resistance as well as bring the peace needed for sufficient study." she said, raising her voice to be heard over the raging wind. She hoped Matsu would approve of her idea, but she knew that if not to her liking, the Atrisian would be able to point them in the right direction.

And island sound like a good way to go about it and Matsu adjusted the information directing the probe droid to go and search. Reports from the underwater droids were coming in as all the data poured in with some more attention going to a string of islands while they were heading towards it. She had and could still feel the device on her hip in the case while channeling the force into it to make it stronger and continue to work the force energies of it. Slowly working the techniques of the Jal Shey to imbue it. She was working with a friend master as well and with them both there she pointed her free hand directing it to the islands away from the mainland while she thought about a couple of things. "We could make it cool, with connections between the islands and turn the area of water between it into a wading pool possibly for healing."

"That looks like Ryn..."

Audren squinted his eyes, peering closer. The robes were similar, but the other Jedi never went out without his mask. Despite the shadow cast by the hood and the partial blocking of the view by hands that seemed to be feeling for something, there was very clearly no mask present.

"Couldn't be, he always wears a mask. That Jedi doesn't have a mask on."

"Who ever they are they seem to prefer being alone. No reason to bother them at this point in time, right?"

Wonder of wonders, the two of them agreed on something. Whatever the case actually was, it seemed to have parallels to an attack dog and prey. The dog, having caught and immobilized its prey, now waited for the controller, the Master maybe, to come get it. Something rang wrong about that, so it was likely there was more to the situation than just that. Yet he couldn't help but see the parallel.

There was a quiet beep from the Sephi's pocket. Frowning, he pulled out the datapad and saw it had finished compiling the data he'd asked it to. Specifically, methods of countering common issues in lightsabers. The Knight was well aware that there existed smarter Jedi than him, both now and in the past, and there would be in the future. Such Jedi came up with ideas left and right - some of them were even useful. A quick glance showed that there were methods to avoid lightsaber burnout in water and more. It was time for him to get back to work. Crumpling the disposable bag he'd been given, the Sephi stood and bowed to both beings.

"A pleasure speaking with you both. Valae, thank you for the food, hopefully I'll be able to repay you in the future. Good day."

Audren stooped to pick up his lightsaber hilt and slipped it back into his pocket, heading back along the beach. It just so happened - coincidence, not intentional - that he headed in the opposite direction as Krux had, and was also away from the Jedi and prisoner. He was heading back to where he'd sat before, just wanted to finish what work he needed to do.

Rasu watched curiously as the Atrisian began forwarding the data to the probe. She had always been interested in the advancing technology, but could never quite get the hang of using them. Before long, Matsu had finished her task and their flight path was altered towards the open ocean. Kneeling upon the machine, Rasu gazed at the shimmering water as it raced across her vision, interrupted only by the occasional island. Rasu's plans for her time on Arkas had definitely taken a different path, but this way she felt that she was making a difference rather than just using her energy to benefit herself. The enclave would not just be for Force-users but would serve as a place of peace and solace to all of the innocents on the planet. The Sanctum would have left their mark for the good of the people.

Wind rushed by the Shi'ido's ears as the probe began its descent. Leaning over the side, Rasu could spot a group of islands, growing ever-closer in her line of vision. From this vantage point she could see that small straits separated the islands, but these could easily be connected by bridge or crossed by vehicle. Already plans and layouts began forming in her mind as her dream enclave came to fruition upon the sandy shores of the distant islands.

"All great ideas." she replied, as the probe landed on the shore of the largest island. She brought a hand to her forehead as she gazed up past the dunes, noticing the vast plains that carried on from the beachfront. "I think we need to scan the area on foot just to gather an understanding of what we'll be working with." Heading off towards the dunes, she called back to Matsu.

"Put down your toys and get a move in slowpoke. Last one to the top of the dunes is a slimy Hutt." Smiling, she took off into a sprint, laughing at how childish she had become.

The skeletons had withstood much. Such as logic and time. However, they were helpless before Sumiko's Force Drain onslaught as she sucked out the dark power that animated them. Souldrinker did the rest by hewing down those who still stood when her tendrils dissipated.

Soon there was plenty of dust on the ground. There, hidden behind bushes and a couple rocks, she came across a chest. Could it really be this easy? Her Force Senses tingled as she bent down and was able to decipher Sith symbols on it.

Wonoksh Qyâsik nun.
Ashajontû kotswinot itsu nuyak.
Midwanjontû châtsatul nu asha.
Tyûkjontû châtsatul nu midwan.
Shâsotjontû châtsatul nu tyûk.
Dzwol shâsotkun.
Nwûl tash.

"The Sith Code backwards? God, how cliched is this," she muttered to herself. Perhaps this should have been a clue! Anyhow, the chest was clearly warded, so without further ado she took her knife and cut her palm with it, allowing the blood to drip on to the chest.

"The Force shall free me, through victory my chains are broken, through power I gain victory, through strength I gain power, through passion I gain strength, peace is a lie, there is only passion," she recited the Code backwards. While she spoke, she saw the blood heat, bubble and finally steam off the chest as each drop landed. Finally there was a dull thud and the chest moved. The lid was revealed and opened slightly with a metallic click. Quickly Sumiko fully opened it and found that the chest was filled with shiny stuff. However, Sumiko ignored the fancy gems as she rummaged inside the chest, until she found the ring!

Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul,
Ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.

However, she frowned when she read the symbols written on it. "This is a fake," she said irritably, for there was no trace of the Force on it. Naturally the sword just had to say its two cents. "Like I told you. But you would not listen, silly, foolish girl!" His voice was like that of a stern teacher admonishing a pupil.

Before Sumiko could say anything, she felt a chill and then suddenly a ghost manifested behind her. "Haha. Finally, after all these centuries I can escape! You played your part wonderfully. All the deaths on this pathetic planet have restored me to full power. I will take a body and you will be my bride. Oh, yes, and then the reign of terror of Barbarossa the Great will..."

"Oh, for the love of crap." The situation was so absurd that Sumiko fell back on a rather puerile line. "Souldrinker, eat him."

"Now, now, darling, the more you resist me, the more....aaargh." Eldritch tendrils gripped the spirit of the 'legendary pirate lord' as he was quite literally pulled into Souldrinker and devoured. Yummy.
