It provides all the defensive protections that one might encounter on a battlefield. Short of being shot head-on with a Class-D disruptor or within point-blank of a thermal detonator, the likelihood of a person surviving a hit taken by the ATI/ISE-01 is exceedingly high (though heavy bruising/being knocked out is also guaranteed/very high). Built-in systems of the ATI/ISE aid soldiers in battle, enhancing their natural strengths and reflexes to be effective on the battlefield; the better the wearer, the better they perform.

DESCRIPTION
The ApexTech Industries Imperial Storm Elite Infantry Armor or ATI/ISE-01 for short is a top of the line suit of armor utilizing products and assets of several prolific companies across the Galaxy, bringing a versatile suit of armor that can be worn by the common soldier or elite commandos. The integrated exoskeleton allows for the wearer to march farther distances, lift more weight, and overall continue otherwise strenuous activities for longer than an average person normally would. This also improves their physical strength, reflexes, and speed by conserving energy and enhancing natural body functions.
The ATI/ISE-01 offers a number of versatile systems to aid its wearer on the field. HUDs, sensors, and other equipment such as macrobinoculars provide the wearer with a plethora of options to aid their visual assessment of a battlefield, while the numerous layers of defenses protect the wearer from a vast majority of weaponry they may encounter. A bodyglove of reactive fabrics beneath aid with movement and actions while a layer of kevlar over it protects the flesh and internal organs of the wearer that also are equipped with bacta applicators and adrenal injectors to make sure that they are always in good condition. Beneath it, a Kineticite gel layer acts as a cushion to not only protect from kinetic penetrative force but also regulate the body's temperature in environmental extremes as well as provide additional power output that can be used to power its systems or shields functions ensure that the wearer has a high survivability rate on the battlefield. Armored panels and plates act as a final layer of external defense just as added protection to the body with the ability to mount personal energy shields for even greater protection.
The ATI/ISE-01's modularity and ability to mount a wide variety of attachments makes it an extremely versatile armor base. It can be customized for the battlefield, giving the wearer a tool for nearly any job that they may anticipate on the field. Its assortment of default equipment can be easily swapped out for better-upgraded versions of the standard equipment, giving elite soldiers better options to specialize in their needs.
