"As my feet walk in the ashes of Katarr"

The jedi master looked upon the world as one by one the shimmering light of the force brought his attention about. There was much happening here and they could use this world for somethings. The life might be gone but the Jedi could maybe in time find a way to heal it. For one of the first times the jedi master wished that Boolon Murr was around and his Ithorians they had healed Ruusan and helped there. So much had changed but standing there now with his hands while looking at the dead world with the force he could still make out plenty. The dark ages when everythign had been rebuilt might have fixed planets but dangerous things still were about and no Miraluka hd returned to its surface.

"Spread out and be careful. We're here to heal the world and this is a place remnants from the empire might have fled to."

Objectives:
  • Explore ruins
  • Create hidden stockpiles
  • Setup early warning station

Iella's walked down the ramp of the ship and onto the ground of Katarr. She stood dressed ready for anything, her amour still scarred for the battles but it was more for precaution more then anything else as this planet had not seem the presence of being for some time, as far as they knew. As she walked toward Master Syn, she smiled. He was the first Miraluka to set foot of the soil of the planet and now here to regain it and bring it back to it's former glory. She looked around and saw the planet overgrown with all manner of plant life, the sound of creatures filled the air all happy with daily business.

She did not know what to expect here, but the moment's signnificanes not lost on her. Iella indicated for the Republic Troops to move out as order my Syn, and the units soon complied. They would all need to stay vigilant to fleeing Sith and the like, not to mention unexpected issues with the planet. She stood by Syn now and just looked out, for a moment.

"So where do we begin", she asked firstly.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Saki looked around, using one of the breath masks and visors for her eyes, the miraluka's had lived here long ago and now... now nothing did but their eyes were caused by their worlds so protecting them was her primary concern while walking around the ship and looking at the soldiers. Checking each one and her equipment with some grapple lines for exploring. Never knew what you might find when exploring the temples.

With the fall of the Sith Empire, Daella had begun to go to other places in the galaxy to assist the Jedi Order and Republic.

Journeying with the rest of the Jedi to the planet, Daella stepped off the shuttle to the surface of the planet.

Not more than a minute after the Jedi's arrival to the planet, though, some feral-looking humanoid wearing a loin-cloth came running out from behind several bolders and charged at @[member="Syn"]. He held a dagger made out of Katarr's stone and attempted to plunge it into the Jedi Master's heart.

"You shouldn't be here!" he screamed.

She moved quickly with the others and had been spreading out, seeing the sights of the world was impressive but it made her wonder. If the world was dead then why had it been rebuilt? Why had any of the worlds been rebuilt and what made it special? That wasn't as important though when she heard the sound of the man charging the jedi master and yelped a little going behind a soldier. She might know how to fight but this is what they had the jedi for and it would prove useful.

"What value does this place hold sir?" A good question but while the shuttle jerked a little something that Van cleef didn't really know how to answer. There was always value in a planet even if you didn't know it, sometimes it was on the surface and sometimes it was down below. Buried deep but he knew some value in going to a world devoid of life. "What is its value? Your asking the wrong question soldier, in truth the planet might not hold up for things but dead worlds provide good cover for hideouts and in this case possible safe locations. Were anything to happen hiding people here would be easier then most realize. Plus the miraluka hold some sentimental value with the planet."

Quenladose had come down with another ship but she knew the intention well enough. Taking in the sights of the world was something amazing and then she could feel it and heard the soldiers speaking. The world was lifeless as far as they knew but the vertical structures that had endured from a lifetime were what all of them were interested in. Her smile remained when they departed on the world and she held a mask with some robe. The temples, the homes all of tit could be used for refugee's if need be or as a small safe haven in times of need once they secured it all.

Lilia stuck close to Iella's side, but she couldn't help but stare around at the devastated planet. "It must have been beautiful once." She murmured, surprising herself. More amazing to her, though, was the fact that they were the first people to set foot here for thousands of years.

When the...thing - feral humanoid creature - tried to stab Master Syn, the Jedi Padawan reacted instinctively. Snapping out a hand, her terror fueled a Force push that would shove the creature away. Initially, her face showed shock and surprise. She stared at her hand, her mind racing to figure out what had just happened. She had most certainly not been anywhere near calm. And yet, she had channeled the Force. Therefore, that was certainly not...the...
Say it.
Not the Light Side.

Slowly, she lowered her outstretched arm and swallowed hard. She looked up at Iella and Syn and seemed to shrink a little inside her skin. "Sorry..." She mumbled.

Harkness looked at the planet, this was something to behold and in truth he rather liked the view from the window. Plenty was going on within the world that all they really needed was to build an ideal little vacation home for visiting senators. The peaceful and lifeless world while dead would still provide some scenery for them and that was what mattered in the end he could imagine. That it was lifeless but not ruined, rebuilt like so many others that had been lost only served to remind him something sinister had attributed to many things in the galaxy.

Syn heard Iella and her padawan which amused him, he wasn't going to lie because she was growing up in the force and very skilled more so because of her conscious then he was. When he was about to speak something came at them and the jedi master reacted moving off to the side with no one around and bringing a hand up with the armorweave robes protecting him. A knife wasn't to bad but then the padawan reacted and he followed suit just a little bringing the force at his hand and towards the mans legs to knock him down. That wasn't so bad and if there were people on the planet, even feral they might provide insights.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Matsu flew through the air, unlike the others she had jumped out of the ship and was now hovering near one of the waterfalls as she smiled and enjoyed the sight of it all. A strange sensation compared to some and her fans were in her hands when she sensed it and dove down the force alerting her to the arrow while she looked around and scanned. A full face and concern before going off towards the would be attacker and landing on the ground with a small grunt. Her body enfolded a little and her hands came out while the force flowed through them to make the fans stronger able to resist some saber strikes. "Come out now."

EN ROUTE TO THE RUINS

Vulpesen ship soared through the sky, coming near his destination. "Torrevaso has entered the field, anyone around the ruins?" Ace was sitting next to him on his piloting rig, using it to help his bond-mate move the vessel through the Katarr air. Vulpesen had done some homework on this planet, and enjoying the history of it, he was rather looking forward to seeing its surface for himself. Dressed in his Ossuss robes, Vulpesen was quite comfortable with the feeling of his saber at his hip, and the jingle of daggers behind his back. True, he would always offer a surrender, but on a mission like this, he would waste no time in beating down anyone who got in the way of his adventures.

Nico moved, her master was here and now the padawan activated the energy shield as she went with one blade activated. The ones who were attacking it seemed were messing around maybe but she still had a job. Out of the way of them as her face contorted in concern. She just wanted to make sure the ones who were here were safe. Their diplomacy would be helpful in maybe finding a way to meet on common ground with these people. "Please come with me and be careful, we need to see if there is a way for peaceful solutions."

"Woof," Vaudin said as he watched the Jedi handle the local, "I had an ex that did that same thing to me but she had a nicer loin cloth."

He looked around trying to see if anyone got the joke. Well even if they didn't he thought it was funny. The Iktotchi wish they would let him carry something a little more powerful on some of these trips but somebody had to be there to keep things straight. that and if things went really wrong he would have to work with @[member="Serenity"], The little minx, to clean it up, spin it, and make the Public happy. At least he didn't have to fly freight for huts anymore. The Jedi were much more attractive and huts are terrible kissers.

Vaudn shuddered at the thought and kept moving they should be able to get the listening post up without much trouble as long as more loin cloths didn't flap their way.

OBJECTIVE: Create hidden stockpiles

So, while the rest of the folks were off to galavate in the ruins, Kira decided she would stay behind and do what she did best. Horde.

Heh, alright, not quite what she did best, but she had a knack at making sure stockpiles of necessities were accessible and properly hidden until the appropriate parties came looking for them.

This really nifty and totally not scary rather tall looming CAVE was not at all a bad choice in hidden stockpiling areas.

"Welp... let's make sure this place doesn't already have a couple of inhabitants." she told herself with a small pep talk. Awww yeah. Time to go spelunking!

Bayzyn Tattersong came up behind @Kira Liadain, having decided to assist her in her goal to stockpile supplies. The Padawan knew it was safer to travel in packs, especially on a ruined world such as this. "I...a mo' if ye'd be so kind, Kira. I ken hear..."

Without finishing the sentence, the Trianii picked up a loose rock perhaps twice the size of his fist and hurled it into the mouth of the cave. Moments later, a breeze greeted the pair, followed by a high-pitched sound, like an energy weapon powering up.

"Ah," said 'Song, "We may want ta duck. Now."

With that, a cloud of black enveloped the pair as thousands of small, black-winged, blue bodied creatures flew from the cave, shrieking as they did so.

Having no answer for his question, Vulpesen decided to take his fate into his own hands, walking towards his ship's ramp and waiting for Ace to lower it. "Keep yourself ready for any problems mate." Very rarely did the jedi need to retreat, but when he did, he preferred to keep his options in the matter open. With the command given, Vulpesen leaned out and dropped from the ship, using the force to slow his descent as he plummeted to the ground below.

Landing a short distance from the ruins, Vulpesen stood up and wiped some dirt from his robes. "Let the fun begin." He had no idea what was in there, and just as little of an idea as to what he was doing. What he did know, was that the lack of knowledge only made these explorations so much more fun.

OBJECTIVE: Create hidden stockpiles -- and avoid the bats!

At that telltale screech and the increasing crescendo of the flurry of wings, Kira's mouth turned into a startled 'o' of surprise that quickly turned into , "DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!" in exclamation, reaching over to flop over the Trianii --- okay, or more like TRY to flop over the Trianii for the padawan's protection as a thick cloud of bats came charging from the belly of the cave over them.

Oh beans. Oh beans. OH BEANS! Mild panic set in as a bat managed to tangle itself into her hair, which let me tell you, was NO picnic whatsoever! She could feel the tiny little claws going for her cheek, the screech of it's cry by her ear, and then the splat of .. well.. the liquid that keeps on giving when you end up scaring the poodoo out of an animal. Right over her shoulder.

Lovely.

Some quick reflexes gave the bat it's freedom, but they were not out of the woods yet. The bats were like a molten black river reaching for the sky, circling round them until they finally dispersed into the ether. She didn't know how long it took for the rest of the bats to clear. But it sure felt like a long... LONG time!

His eta-6a landed in a clearing nearby to the gathering of Jedi. When he leapt out of the starfighter, the astromech locked down the ship and waited for further commands. When it received none it began running diagnostics over the ship, as was the usual order of Antares Windu. It seemed the droid was learning about his current owner, and didn't need to be reminded. It would be good to get reports from his droid about his ship, after all, imagine all of the bad things that would happen after lifting off with a faulty engine?

He made sure his lightsabers were upon his belt, and straightened out his black Jedi robes and continued on towards where he sensed the large amount of ashla through the Force. Though he still brought his commlink to his mouth and said, "this is Padawan Windu. Does anyone require assistance?" His voice said over their communications channels.

@[member="Kira Liadain"]'s movements made it clear to 'Song that she wanted nothing to do with the swarm. Instinctively the Trainii used his 6'5" frame to try and shield the smaller Human. Several of the winged vermin sank their wing claws into his fur, but were quickly batted away by the dozens of others vying for escape, and 'Song's left hand batted away still more while his right remained protectively wrapped around the other Jedi.

After what seemed like minutes, the black cloud finally dispersed, and 'Song gallantly helped Kira straighten up once again. Giving her a small grin, he said, "I believe the way should be clear now, at least the entrance," he said in his deep voice. "Er...after you?"
