OBJECTIVE: Create hidden stockpiles

You know, being short and all was a normal sensation for Kira. She was, afterall, all of 152cm's tall... with shoes, but compared to some of the other near-human species, not THAT short.

HAH! Well it was an entirely DIFFERENT kind of sensation when you have a 182cm's of Trainii helping to your feet. She felt small. Dainty. And with her kinda tipped back due to her trying to regain her balance, she was half wondering if this is where she should lift her left foot slightly up like in the rom com holo-flicks.

Nah!

Kira gave 'Song a rather sheepish grin, shrugging her shoulders in a small apologetic "Sorry about that..." both hands went straight to dusting her robe and cloak off. She had a streak of grime over her left cheek and a crimson scratch from one of the bats on her right.

"Well, as clear as it is going to get!" she said rather ruefully, taking her electrum saber in hand to brandish it in front of her. "At the very least, we have a couple of glowstick for light no?" she added with a half joke to 'Song. A press of the activation switch had the silvery blue blade burst to life with a twsssh! A sphere of silver blue light bathed them both.

"Alright... let's get going." she began, moving forward into the maw of the cavern. "Hey... you think there might be other things in there besides the bats?" she asked, mulling out loud as she lead them inside.

Balaya moved going after the one jedi to avoid her. She hadn't expected the jedi here of all places since the collapse of the empire. No she had been using it to try and lay low while going for a new identity to keep hidden away. Something remote and dead had seemed perfect to avoid them but they came here and now she was preparing for what would have to be done. Chief among those was fight the jedi if needed. Second get off world and flee to another planet.

This place was awesome, well the parts of it that Orihime was in. She had gotten a bonus compared to some and was able to say she was away from the violence looking at the flowers and gardens. Overgrown with time but what was supposed to be a dead world was looking pretty nice. Must have been the same thing that restored blown up worlds and others ravaged but not the people. That just meant they had an easier time going about while looking for places to make storehouses or they could bring the agricultural corps here and let them play around in the dirt. Lots of fun.

"Aye, more than likely," admitted 'Song, igniting his own orange-bladed lightsaber and holding it before him. "I'll be honest, I'm nae a hundred per cent sure o'the fauna 'round here, 'specially the cave dwellin' type, but if we've got a cave that opens out to a cavern, my bet is we'll find somethin' more livin'..."

'Song stopped, listening again. "We're nae alone," he said in voice like a whisper across a bass drum.

"Greaaaaat....." came Kira's rather half amused half sarcastic low hush. The grin still lingered, as she led 'Song deeper into the cave. There were small little pools of standing water to the sides, and unfortunately -- with a grimace -- a whole lot of bat guano on the cavern floor.

She came across a large boulder, one she took cover against, as she shot a glance over at 'Song. "Any idea how big? " Kira, in these kinds of instances, was not the best at figuring out what lay in the darkness. She could however, apply Theran Force listening techniques to try and listen a bit more closely.

The Force surged through the Lorrdian, as she stretched out her senses to listen a bit more clearly. Yup, something definitely was out there. Her brows furrowed in contemplation. It sounded as if something was sliding around ahead of them...

Or was it above them?

"More than one," growled 'Song. "Different smells, too. Above an' t' the sides and--" The Trianii's orange blade flew up into a parry five stance as the tail of a keejin sliced downwards out of the darkness. With a deft flick of his wrist, the Trainii's lightsaber turned and sliced, severing the tail, which continued to twitch and slither as it hit the cave floor. "This isn't the threat!" barked 'Song, but focused his attention to the fight at hand.

Now this was a place she could get lost in as the men with the loin cloths came at her. A smirk on her smirk seeing them but they were in control of the planet which meant that there might be something here to salvage or see. Not that she wanted to exploit the people but how they came to live on a world most believed was dead intrigued her to no end and made her want to take more notes as it all ticked on. The few were engaging above, some exploring caves and she went after one of the residential areas with a small grin.

"Oh beans! Oh beans! OH BEANS!" he was right, there was definitely something else in there that had nothing to do with Keejin. The clicking sounds of mandibles sliding together along with eight large beady glowing eyes confirmed it.

"Well.. maybe a cave wasn't the best of ideas," she mused aloud, only to widen her gaze as the 'IT' styled monstrous cave spider suddenly began darting to them.

They had no other choice. With a determined glint in her eyes, Kira stood, bringing her blade up to defend herself and the padawan, swinging her saber as one sharp leg came crashing down at them.

Cave diving, treasure hunting, no not today the Jedi Mused as he held the light up in the air around him, revealing a much bigger part of the cave. He took a few steps forward, moving rather easily on the rocky surface, yet almost slipping once or twice so not that perfect. From up ahead he heard various sounds echoing across the cave, along with the squeaking of bats and various other creatures of the cave. Which the Jedi Master wasn't to familiar with. Moving a little bit quicker through the cave leading him to the source of the noise that had belong to two other Jedi that were set up by a giant cave spider.

Kahne dropped his bag lightly and his hand shot forward using the force in attempt to hold the spider in place as a force stasis type ability so the other two Jedi could finish it off.

Padawan Vincent Jusik followed @[member="Vulpesen"] off of the shuttle's ramp and onto the planet's surface. They were here to explore and set up stockpiles, at least officially. Jusik always looked about for hidden purposes in seemingly mundane operations and missions. Something he'd picked up from his mother in his earlier years.

"Anything else we doing here Master? Anything hidden? Secret? Taking out the Grandmaster's laundry?" Vincent asked with a chuckle to the Shadow.

Vulpesen grinned at @[member="Vincent Jusik"]'s remarks and strode towards the ruins. "Secret? No, this time we are not those who hide. A shadow is often needed to find darkness and things that are hidden from others. So, our job is to explore the ruins just ahead. We'll leave the stockpiles to the other jedi. Besides I'd much rather see what lies in wait for us up there." Vulpesen could heal small wounds, and rebuild ones faith in the order, but when it came to manual construction, he was best left to the demolition squad. It wasn't that he enjoyed wrecking places. His skills just had more uses in the battle than in the aftermath.

"Sounds like fun. Reminds me of my childhood." Vincent replied to @[member="Vulpesen"] as he continued upwards toward the strange looking ruins.

Back in his adolescence Vincent had done extensive exploring of abandoned mining platforms and settlements floating about in Bespin's atmosphere. Despite the protests of his mother and father. He'd always been a bit of a troublemaker at heart, almost like he couldn't help it.

He grinned as he thought of how much he enjoyed it.

Vulpesen nodded and stopped at the entrance. Sometimes he regretted sending Ace on pilot duty. This was one of those times. the wolf's small size made him perfect for avoiding and detecting traps. Without his help, the knight was left to his own senses. "Stay on your toes and be prepared. If you feel the force so much as quiver, I suggest you move back and out of the danger. Who knows what tricks the creator of this place had in mind." Igniting one end of his saber staff, Vulpesen watched as the gold and black blade rose from the mouth of the fox head emitter. Using the tool to light his way, the jedi continued forward. "I doubt your child hood included ancient but deadly traps.

@[member="Vincent Jusik"]

Vincent nodded as he followed his Master into the opening of the cave. He lit his own saber in turn as his Master did, inching forward carefully and taking @[member="Vulpesen"] advice.

The bright yellow shown like a sun in the dark cave.

"Well they did have a few traps Master, just not intentional or ancient." Vincent replied.

The jedi nodded and moved forward, using the combined lights to give them a good view. "Ace would have been really nice to have right now." The ashlan Wolves were known for their glowing pelts, and though Vulpesen often referred to his companion as a barking nightlight (often when the wolf was acting as a very painful and heavy earring), he did enjoy the natural blue light in dark places. Taking a moment to get rid of his moment of sourness, he traveled forward, opening himself up to the force, allowing it to flow through him, showing him his surroundings and alerting him to any danger.

@[member="Vincent Jusik"]

"Can't say I don't agree with you master." Vincent replied to @[member="Vulpesen"] as he continued to move carefully onward. The walls shown with the combined light of the sabers. It was surreal to the padawan, as he eyed the primitive markings on the wall as the pair continued their decent into the unknown.

The knight nodded and took a careful step forward. The tile underfoot clicked and he was instantly alerted by a sense of danger which traveled down his spine. Really? Apparently these sith loved the cliche as the jedi dove forward, feeling a large blade slice through his robes, shearing a bit off the bottom. Cliche, but effective. Then again.. these were riuns. Vulpesen called upon the force and send a small wave into the ancient trap. With a loud snap, the blade fell to the ground, slashing into the stone of the surroundings. "Watch your step." Something was shifting the living force. Typical, of course soemthign like that would stir up a little trouble. Luckily, Vulpesen was never without a few tricks of his own. He was a child of Amar. Whatever planned on taking them down, would have a hard time if it were some sort of beast. If not, well then Vulpesen had backup and was quite good at improvising. "Tell me, do those symbols mention any more traps around here?"

@[member="Vincent Jusik"]

Vince moved quicker than he thought he had in his entire life as the blade swing to kill both @[member="Vulpesen"] and himself. The trap nearly took off the padawan's hand as he dodged.

Close.

His master seemed to immediately shake off the experience and continue forth. Vincent took a moment, not being as experienced with things trying to murder him on a regular basis.

"Uh. Ok. Sure." Vince said as he looked along the symbols as instructed.

There was a very VERY large boulder depicted.

"I think there's a giant rock trap thingy up ahead." Vincent replied before nervously glancing about the cave.

"Wonderful. Not only do we get dead people trying to kill us, we get dead people trying to kill us like some sort of old holo-film." As he moved forward, Vulpesen soon found his first target. The ruins had given way enough for him to see the trap laid for the two jedo. I twas simple, consiting of a large round boulder On the pedestal in front of them, sat a simple sith holocron, adn immediatly the jedi's eyes lit up. "Yes, yes, yes YES!" The shadow's hand shot out but stopped just a moment before touching the artifact. Surly it wasn't extremely valuable due to its lack of sophisticated guards, but knowledge was knowledge and such things could get a shadow like him easily excited. That excitement almost got him in trouble as he nearly forgot why the trap was so easy. "Always remember not to get too hasty."

This time, the jedi placed his saber in one hand while reaching out with the other, opening his palm to focus on the simple locking device holding the stone. "Alright Vince, I'm gonna need you to grab the holocron. Should be easy, just leave the rest to me." Once again, that familiar sense moved through Vulpesen's mind while he went about his work. On one hand, the extra life helped strengthen his connection to the living force. On the other, that same creature/creatures might be trying to cease the jedi's connection with the living anything. He'd work on it when he got to it, but until then, knowledge was his prime target.

Vincent gave his master a slightly cocked eyebrow in response and hesitantly reached for the holocron. Nice and easy. As the padawan did so he kept a constant eye on the extremely obviously placed trap. It made him wonder if their was a secondary one lying in wait.

Ok.

Easy.

Vincent snatched the holocron from it's place and moved back as quickly as he could with the dark object. An arrow promptly thudded where he'd been.
