Lews stopped unloading and followes the Knight and Master. He was quiet as they boarded. It would be a change for him he usually got the jobs lifting and nor investigating.

The Imperial star destroyer remained inactive as the Jedi boarding party approached. Eventually, they go the signal from Oreluos to board the ship and the dropship did so through the starboard hangar - which [member="Antares Windu"] could fly into as well.

Daella immediately exited the dropship to see her immediate surroundings inside the hangar. There were blast marks everywhere - indicated a firefight had happened - and several Imperial starfighters were trashed all around the hangar.

Lews listened to the sound of the engines and sat in silence as they approached the imperial ship. His green eyes closed and he leaned his head back against the bulkhead. He opened his eyes to look at the ceiling as he prepared for the inevitable fighting. He was ready.

Lews was quickly on his feet and a step behind the Master as they entered the hanger bay.

Soon after the Jedi dropship landed, the Jedi would have been greated by a small group of Sith Imperial troopers and an officer. They seemed ragged and on edge - pushed to the limits mentally and physically. They didn't attack, though. The human officer simply called out in a nervous voice, "What are your intentions?"

Antares's starfighter swung around and then entered into the Imperial Star Destroyer after [member="Daella Apparine"]'s own shuttle had gone in. There were several blast marks all throughout the hangar bay Imperial starfighters all throughout the hangar, crashed and destroyed. "Perform a scan of the hangar and tell me how long ago this happened." He said, as the eta-6a hovered a few feet above the ground and the hatch opened up.

The young Windu leapt out and landed on his feet without hesitation, he started walking towards the Jedi Master. "Did the Captain perform a scan upon the ship?" Antares said just as he saw the Chiss and the rest come along. It doesn't matter anymore. He thought to himself.

"Our intentions are to investigate what happened here at the moment." He said, and he raised a single eyebrow waiting for an explanation.

A smirk came to his face in the full, unlike Vosra, who was sure trying hard to hide it. Peradun was just about to volley back with some cheeky remark about how he didn't know the knight swung that way, but the other man drew their attention back to the task at hand, requesting focus.

"Right it is, then," he confirmed, getting a similar notion from his own senses, though more vague. He started moving again, the train of three - Stali as the locomotive, Mara and Talon the caboose, taking the corner, turning down the passage to the right. "Any thoughts on what we might find when we find it?"

"Sith." He said ro the Masters mind "should we just kill them?"

He stood ready and waiting for orders. Lews had never been the most tactful Jedi.

Daella's eyes locked onto the Imperial captain as she stood next to [member="Lews Therin"]. She drew her lightsaber hilt yet did not ignite it. The troopers next to the officers immediately pointed their weapons at the Jedi Master. Yet, they remained noncombative - at least for now.

The officer replied to [member="Antares Windu"] with, "A terrible fight, and a struggle to that has gone on for too long."

After [member="Lews Therin"] suggested just killing them because they were Sith, the officer quickly yelled out, "No! We're not Sith! We killed the only Sith that were aboard - it's why the ship is in such horrible condition. We're just looking for sanctuary. We can take you to our leader if you promise not to harm us. We promise the same to you."

The Jedi Knight glanced at [member="Daella Apparine"] to the side. He watched the group of their troopers, his own lightsaber still upon his belt, hidden from the sight of anyone else. His expression was one that was cautious and he wasn't about to just trust these people. "A few questions." He said with a tight smile. "Who, what, when, where, and why?" He said, unmoving to the Chiss that was, [member="Rytek'irk'intrano"]. "And your name."

He looked over the Chiss slowly. "You are not in condition to offer us protection."

Talon had half expected a retort when the Padawan acquiesced and turned their little awesome train to the right. He blinked behind the blindfold and had a terribly unJedi like thought before he shook it off and cleared his throat.

"I am not really sure." Talon admitted calmly. "But it's ancient and knows we're coming. I can feel it reaching for us now."

A warm calm sensation pulled at Talon's mind. It was either a trap or someone was calling them for some unknown purpose.

Daella gave a nod of approval to [member="Antares Windu"]'s questions and placed a arm in front of [member="Lews Therin"] as a sign that the Jedi Padawan should not yet advance.

Whispering to Lews, Daella said, "If they're willing to surrender, then spare your blade."

Daella did not yet holster her lightsaber hilt, though.

Lews let his shoulders relax slightly as he crossed his arms. He didn't trust them but then that meant nothing at the moment.

"Yes Master." He said as he eye'd the troppers and their weapons.

He guessed it would take about 83 seconds ro finish them all and move into the ship.

The human officer that was a part of the group of troopers replied, "We're the last of Grand Moff Kirk's forces. We've been on the run from hostile forces since the collapse of the Sith Empire."

Then, the Chiss leader walked into the hangar from behind. He seemed tired and weary. He looked to [member="Antares Windu"], and then to his officer - who seemed extremely concerned.

"It's fine," said Kirk to his first officer, "No point resisting."

Turning to Antares, Kirk said, "I'm Grand Moff Kirk. Though, I guess that's no longer the case. As you can see, we served the Sith Empire. Yet, my loyalty was never with the Sith."

Kirk motioned to his men to lower their weapons. They silently obeyed. He then continued by saying, "I was hoping to get those of my men that remained alive to the Ascendancy. We were delayed - regrettably - and now our fate is in your hands - or at least that of the Republic's."

Lews blinked at the Chiss as he spoke. If he was smart the Chiss would only add 12 more seconds to his estimate. He waited for the Master and the Knight to handle the talking while he watched the troopers for foolishness.

The Jedi Knight's teeth grounded upon each other. He felt his upper row of teeth bite into his tongue and draw some blood while his mouth was closed. There were so many things that he could. Help them...Or leave them. "What condition are your engines in?" He questioned and he looked over to [member="Daella Apparine"] with a questioning look in his gaze before he started to turn slightly to the Chiss and their group. It was always best to be cautious.

"If your loyalty was never with the Sith why did you serve them?" [member="Rytek'irk'intrano"]

Elsewhere, as was his wont, Boolon Murr was contributing to the Republic's expansionary efforts by healing things. He had filled that function on many a world as barren as this, at the Republic's behest, but it had been rather a long time since he'd marched to this drum. Dista had talked him into it. The Ithorian Priest of the Mother Jungle still wasn't sure whether he regretted coming back.

But healing was never regrettable, and so he healed things.

"Hmph" Lews said as he looked toward the troopers.

'Who cares?" He thought, 'they served and they can provide evidence at trial.'

He said nothing and just remained there towering over the others as he waited for the Chiss to answer.

Boolon Murr, elsewhere, continued to heal things. Katarr was a world with a traumatic past, and trauma reverberated in odd ways. Though the planet's desolation was milennia in the past, there were still really large and impressive numbers of organisms that needed healing.

More than once, Jedi had expressed frustration or disapproval toward Boolon's practice of healing wounded creatures while he could be contributing in other ways. The Priest of the Mother Jungle had been known to manifest refractory and reciprocal opinions.

Boolon continued to heal rats. A healthy planet was a happy planet.

"I think the ship is done for," replied Kirk to [member="Antares Windu"], "At least, for a while. We had a skirmish just before heading to this planet."

As for Antares's next question, Kirk took a deep breath and thought on it for several moments. Then, he gave a confident answer with, "Why did those on Korriban and Ziost serve the Sith? Granted, I was board in the Ascendency, yet the opportunities beyond that and the Empire were extremely limited."

Once again, Kirk took another pause. He looked to his men for a moment. As he looked away from Antares for a moment, Kirk then said, "It didn't take long of serving under the Sith that I resolved to take the Empire down from within."

Turning to the Jedi, Kirk finished with, "Yet, the Republic managed to do that before I could make a move."
