A Call for Help - SJO Dominion of Noverskaa (Hex AC26)

Syd nodded to [member="Valkren Calderon"] and got into her own vessel, taking off to fly ahead of the ship. She was not disappointed by her instincts, as her over-tuned, alchemized sensors detected threats.

The secondary cannons swiveled to target heat signatures from hostile rebels, some of whom attempted to lock onto her craft and his. Syd opened fire. The secondary cannons let out a blistering rate of fire, adapted from those used on ancient TIE's, which were already capable of destroying small asteroids and the ground below her erupted in rubble and fire from the bright blue bolts that impacted on enemy targets trying to fire on Valkren's craft. They would not succeed. The Ghost of Flames would not permit it.

Dispassionately, Syd targeted each enemy position on the route deeper into the city, her shields taking the heavy blaster fire, causing it to rock as it flew, but its shields held. Syd made sure to hit all the hardened positions that threatened Valkren's craft as they got deeper. Finally though, they cleared that gauntlet, and Syd, with a clinical ruthlessness, continued firing on enemy positions stationed close to where Valkren's ship set down, switching to the Dragonsbreath heavy cannon system and used them to utterly demolish a building full of hostile Sith Rebels close to where her allies landed.

Syd spun the craft in a circle, opening fire on every position pelting her ship shields, even laying waste to some missile fired at her through the burst fire of her secondary cannons. But inevitably, the shields started to weaken from the relentless fire, and Syd was forced to land close to Valkren's ship, but not before her sensors also detected the seismic activity close by. Syd took her lightsabers with her as she stepped off the craft to join Valkren and any silvers he'd brought with him. At least she had caused the enemy to waste ammo trying to destroy her beloved but cramped vessel.

Knowing the Dark Side was a threat here and to try and double the chances of them coming home alive, Syd chose to work her magic, first on Valkren, her eyes glowed orange as she pointed a finger at him and other soldiers around him. She could get up to three at once:

"Ashla, shield my allies from the dark..." she chanted quietly.

This was another thing that had made Syd so dangerous in her heyday: She posed a lethal threat on her own, but when with others her magic was geared to enhancement and protection of said allies.

If the magic was accepted, him and two others around him would be sheathed in painless, harmless green flame. They could still see perfectly, but would gain an immense resistance to dark powers for a short time. About six minutes on average.

"Don't be frightened. The flame that enshrouds you will make you heavily resistant to the Darkness...a short while at least." She explained to everyone present.

Syd repeated the spell on every cluster of three people she spotted, hoping they'd accept the spell effects, or it would not work otherwise. She spotted [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] and [member="Kiso"] and with a smile repeated the protective spell at them before turning to Calderon.

"Shall I scout ahead, Sir? There were some positions I was not able to destroy with my ship and the Dark Side's presence is strong here..." she said calmly.

Cambria followed the Jedi Master from the cockpit to the boarding ramp of their shuttle after they had landed and donned a cloak over her armored bodysuit that fit like a glove. The Jedi Guardian double checked the heavy blaster pistol that was holstered off her shapely right hip and adjusted her lightsaber and shoto where they hung from the other side of the utility belt worn. The Rutian Twi'lek's warrior dagger of her people was always sheathed in her boot.

Ever since the fall of the Galactic Alliance and the shattering of the New Jedi Order as it was, the blue-hued Knight had joined Coren in his efforts to defeat the Sith whenever possible. Here today was another chance to do just that.

"The armory should be just a klick or so ahead. I spotted some activity in the area when we flew over... Best be careful," Cam nodded with a twitch of her lekku to the sandy brown-haired Corellian as the two Eclipsed Jedi started to make their way towards the action.

"I knew Sith were often rather direct in command"

"And to them, the most important things to them in regards to heavy weapons are volume of fire and explosive yields, more than even knowing what constituted a hardened target and which weapon to use against what kind of targets. It's just that Jedi have a different kind of entitlement, that is not to say that they don't feel entitled, far from it. They don't feel necessarily entitled to control as much, it has more to do with what they feel the Force allows them to do that NFUs can't"

Ah, collateral damage. One of the topics that made Jedi uncomfortable. Even the Rift campaign was not entirely joyful as a victory because of collateral damage it has wrought: destroying one of the main thoroughfares of the city its climax was set in to destroy the main Primeval army above it was what made it bittersweet to her. The Dominion took a while to repair the infrastructure in its wake, but she knew collateral damage was inevitable in urban warfare when dark-sided factions attacked. Yes, it was true that FU favoritism was common but, for Jedi, it often seemed to be favoritism by the courts of law more than in other areas. What would, in other eras where public accountability was actually a thing, such as in the early days of the post-Ruusan environment, cause Jedi to be investigated by the Treasury Audit Division and maybe even summoned to appear before the courts, but even in the Clone Wars she knew that even accusations of financial mismanagement from the Jedi Council were swept under the rug. Jedi definitely were, in Jessica's mind, the less entitled of the two, however.

Heir to the Emperor, Former Senator of Denon
The trade expo was going quite well for her at least. THey had some fo the smaller companies on the planet itself that were showing off their wares agreeing to distribute for Sasori which would bolster them and mean that Sasori isn't competing on the planet itself to cause issues. A smarter way to go about it when Ayumi walked around and she could feel some of the others here on the planet. The former senator prepared herself where she was checking it out... with some parts of it as the deals were signed themselves. "THank you." THen she was moving for the moment to let herself walk around and check out the other things that were being sold offering plenty of credits.

"Short, sweet, simple, just the way I like it." It had been the girl's experience that the more complex a plan became, the more likely it was to fail and fall short. If they worked then they could be amazing, pulling things off that you could only dream off. But more commonly the plans failed to achieve that potential and ended up dragging down into a desperate fight for survival. Hopefully, that wouldn't happen this time, it sounded like most of the trouble was centred around the Sith that was leading this uprising. If they could get to him and subdue him then the rest of this followers hsould settle down of their own accord. Or at least turn into an issue for the council themselves to be able to fix in their own time with their people.

The pink-haired Jedi stepped back, Waving Yuroic and his Rangers onto the dropship as she settled herself back into her seat. arm slipping through her harness as the dropship powered up into the sky. It was only a short hop and skip left to them now, a distance the Luna's would eat up in no time. "Last stop, crazy sith only one block away people, stay safe and don't make me fly a hospital trip on the way out." With a wave and a nod the Luna was off, it's repulsor's carrying it back up into the air to act as a support for the rangers on the ground, the marines who were deploying around then. "Shall we?"

As the drop ship made it's approached Kiso checked through her bionics and programming one last time, this assault would be the first time she went head to head with Sith on the ground, the first time she would be up against force users. Quite lucky to be deploying with two skilled Jedi, hopefully they would be able to keep the saber jokey and bay while she and the rangers gunned down the Sith troopers, or what ever sort of ground force they had. "You two may want to do things quick but I for once want to make sure to weed out this little problem for good, not simple cut down the tree, uproot it and throw poison in the hole so nothing new can ever grow again".

Un-holstering weapon she loaded a new clip into the bottom, cocking it and looking down the scope, "I wonder how many slugs a knight can deflect before one gets through and into it's body, would be nice to bring one down with an archaic weapon and my own skill instead of some other wordily power and energy sword". Not that she wasn't without her own advantages, she was much stronger then a regular human and with her cybernetics was a faster thinker, marksman and more, "anyways good hunting and don't lose a limb guys".

Objective: Trade Expo

Mykes Taff watched around to others at the expo. It seemed plenty busy, with people going about. A couple people came to Mykes' booth, but it seemed not much caught their eyes. Once things calmed around his booth, he kicked up his feet and leaned back. Sighing to himself. Still quite on edge as he could not yet feel his husband's feelings from down on the planet. Was he okay? Was he cutting his emotions off, like they had been trained to do at that one point? What if he was in pain? All of this worried him.

Eventually, when the worries were getting close to pushing him over the edge he moved to distract himself. Standing from his seat, Mykes moved to the back of his booth. Thinking maybe, just maybe, what he had in mind would get plenty of attention. His hands reached to the canvas covering something, and then he pulled back on it. Revealing a fighter-sized ship, the T1 'Megos Runner'. There he stood before the ship, marveling at his creation.

Yuroic watched as the ship took off, the scenery passed in a slight blur as he thought on the mission more. It was annoying that they were going in somewhat blind but that would always happen in fast paced situations like this. Yuroic was equipped as much as he could be, his metal hand tightened to a fist as he thought about their duty and the amount of losses they would suffer. This was not an endless battle with the Sith but it felt like it could be. He turned to Kiso who was less pleased with his plan than Asaraa.

"Problem with that plan is that we don't have the time. This is an emergency situation, we had to come in with only limited information on this rebel faction, we don't know how large or how many they to root the out and destroy the ground. So unless you want to ravage the whole world, we take down as many as we can. Capture leaders for later interrogations and move on. This fight isn't going to be the last one on this world, just hopefully the first win in the right direction." He hoped Kiso would understand his point.

He jumped from the dropship and pulled out his energy bow, nocking an arrow, his eyes searched for opponents. "Remember, stick together, large force will overwhelm these rebels." Yuroic reminded Asaraa as he turned to Kiso who clearly was not a fan kf Force Users. "Well, by the time you find out, you'll be dead. You'd need a extremely quick firing blaster to get enough shots to make things tough. Don't take on a Knight solo, work as a group, more guns firing the harder to block." Yuroic stated as he moved forward with his bow slightly drawn ready to fire.

[member="Cambria Zadira"]

The Jedi Master usually had a lot to do, running a whole team of Jedi, and Alliance soldiers. Today, was just the pair of them and the Force. The Corellian was ok playing second fiddle, and he and the other Masters of the Order, and brass of the Alliance-in-Exile had discussed a few changes to their tactics, and they allowed Coren a bit more freedom. More for this walk-the-earth type who didn’t mind not just sitting around. But he was a solider of a cause, and the Alliance was right there with him. They’d never change their focus, and hit with a little more focus on protecting life.

Not that crusading was ever going to stop for Coren, the closest thing to a Sword of the Jedi at the moment.

“Lead on, Blue.” He grinned as he tightened his grip on the blaster in his hand. He’d do what he could to slow the approach of anyone. The pair were making good time, at a pretty decent pace. And he could feel the dark side emanating.

“Be on your guard, its getting… darker.”

"As you wish," the Rutian Twi'lek nodded with an amused twitch of her lekku. Cambria did not have a 'pet' or nickname for Coren; not that the Knight was by any means his intimate friend. They were Jedi partners simply full of respect and loyalty towards one another. That was all. It was what the man needed. It was what she gave him as he gave her in return.

It was good to see the Jedi Master not so uptight. The Corellian seemed to be burning the candle at both ends. He had the weight of the whole Jedi Order on his shoulders these days. Some of it was self-imposed since the betrayal of the New Jedi Order by one of its own, but more and more the Jedi needed a bold leader to bring them more or less all together if they were to hold back and hopefully defeat the Sith. The Force had seen fit to call upon Master Starchaser to do just that, but today he was here on this planet giving assistance where it was needed not rallying a crusade.

"Yes, I feel it too, and I will," the blue-hued Guardian answered as the two moved swiftly in tandem down an eerily quiet street for a business area that had residences upstairs.

Cambria was using Force Cloak to conceal themselves in the shadows. Suddenly there was a commotion ahead and cries. A speeder trunk was parked in the middle of the street. A family had been marched out onto the sidewalk and were being hurried to the tailgate of the vehicle by some rebel troopers rather forcefully. The man looked injured, maybe he had resisted, and the woman and children appeared frightened to death.

"Looks like we are just in time to intervene!" Cam said, then the Twi'lek Jedi called her primary lightsaber to hand and sprang into action; igniting the cerulean blue blade drawing the troopers attention to herself while Coren swooped in stealthily to get the civilians out of harms way, or so she hoped as blaster bolts meant for her were deflected back deftly at the senders.

"You hearing these people, boss? Not much of a plan if you ask me.." Specialist Lowder's familiar voice chimed into the Colonel's personal line, usually used by the command squad of the Radama Raiders. This time, all twelve of his rangers were linked into the channel, so they could all hear each other.

"Yeah, I hear them. Been awhile since we've rolled with some Jedi. Just follow orders, and if anything seems too much like a 'Jedi move,' let me know. I'm not ready to collect any of your dogtags boys, so if need be we'll make our own moves. Keep on Yuroic and Asaraa if you can, I trust 'em. You boys remember the 1st Ranger Marine force?"

"Aye, think one of them owes me and John boy a few credits." Lieutenant Harris's voice huffed through, although his team's second-in-command was directly beside him, brandishing a large Z-6 rotary cannon while they listened for orders.

"You're damn right he does..Think I see him over there too." Lowder piped up once more, hoping to secure his credits before the operation was over.

"Cool it Lowder, Asaraa is leading the first marines this time, so watch their backs and they'll watch ours." Valkren replied, keeping the rowdy few in check as he rolled his shoulders. The plates of his katarn armor rubbing together against the undersuit that protected his skin beneath.

"Solid copy, sir. Babysitting business.."

This response from the team's specialist elicited several chuckles and laughs from his team, some even audible to others if they were standing close by another one of the special forces rangers. Although it made the colonel roll his eyes behind his visor, but still made him crack a smile.

Erasing the smile from his face, he'd snap back into game mode once Yuroic took off down the nearest street towards their objective. Next, the same geist that surprised him before arrived again, [member="Syd Celsius"], offering scouting to the group.

He motioned with his helmeted head towards the group, "Negative, stick around with us. We could use the support with the main Quick-reaction-force."

Directly after this, himself and the other twelve operators jogged up towards the front of the pack, assuming different positions as they maneuvered down the street ways and pass civilians fleeing the scene. An update suddenly filled his Heads-up-display, with the voice of their Luna transports' pilot coming through. The scene showed an alleyway up ahead of the group that connected to a street running parallel.

"Colonel Calderon, Overwatch 2-1. We've circled about, got a good view of where you're all headed. Nothing but civilians up ahead on that road, ya'll go in there and start waving guns, crossfire from rebels and you lot are going to make for some nasty casualties. Suggest new approach. Alleyway up ahead diverts to a road that'll take you right to the bad guys at your 'armory,' how copy sir?"

With a quick motion of his hand up towards his helmet, his transmission started back.

"Overwatch, Calderon. Solid copy, I'll let the Jedi know. Stay close boys." Valkren cut the transmission, then quickly jogged up to the front of the group.

"Yuroic! Asaraa!" He'd wave them down so they'd stop, if the group did stop, the members of Valk's ranger unit would take up several positions about, weapons readied in case of an engagement.

"Too many civilians up ahead, ya'll." His alderaan-farming drawl came through for a slight second before it was readjusted. "Overwatch says that the alleyway up on the left can take us on a more direct route."

The Ranger officer pointed his index and middle finger down the street they were advancing and right to the left, before looking back to the others again.

"Might be more bad guys, but we can avoid the civilians getting caught in a firefigh-" A red bolt decided to cut his conversation short, bouncing up off the ground right in front of the group and away. The ranger's cautious attitude suddenly took a 180, as voices began to shout from the group:

"Contact front! Contact front!"

"Shooter, right side balcony!"

"Get in cover, now!"

"Bowers, move!" The lieutenant and another one of Valkren's men made their way towards the alleyway entrance, stopping right before it. Corporal Bowers quickly went to crouch below the heavy-weapons specialist, producing an ancile shield from his wrist gauntlet. Just like clockwork, several red bolts slammed into the shield, protecting both soldiers. This gave Harris the time to spin up his rotary cannon, lifting it just beside the newly-produced shield to unleash a hellstorm of blue bolts.

The lieutenant's weapon peppered the side of the building to their right, where they had initially first received contact. Dust, sparks, and rubble fell from the building as Harris kept his finger on the trigger, a somewhat devilish smile on his face behind his visor while firing.

Valkren used this opportunity to issue commands, lifting his LPD blaster rifle and firing off a quick burst of bolts to help in the suppression. Directly after, he'd turn his back to the enemies, in plain view. Risky move, but it was common for Valk, especially when fighting people as inexperienced as rebel fighters. The chances of them landing a shot were slim, and this way, he'd give little more confidence to his men and allies.

"Lowder! Detonator, second floor, yesterday!"

"Copy sir, boom boom!" Lowder pushed himself up from his cover behind a piece of rubble, letting his own rifle hit his chest rig and hang due to it's tactical sling. He'd leap over his cover, going to move directly under the balcony if possible, unclipping a grenade from his utility belt in the meantime.

Valkren looked forward, watching as now several rebels came out from the buildings up ahead. They were right in-between the civilians and the Silver Quick-reaction-force. This wouldn't be good. After raising his LPD once more, he'd let his Head-up-display do most of the aiming this time around, not wanting to risk friendly fire. With easy precision, he let out another burst of three rounds, the bolts slamming into the closest enemy. He'd slip back into any cover he could on the left. Open streets weren't ideal for non-force users, but they could make the most of it.

"Overwatch 2-1, Colonel Calderon. Requesting immediate smoke screen ahead of our position! We gotta get moving ASAP!"

Like magic, the luna roared overhead. Most of the few rebel soldiers ahead turned their attention to the metal bird in the sky immediately, firing off rounds at it like it would affect it. It didn't seem the group they had just run into had any sorts of heavy weaponry.

"Get your people moving. Smoke screen inbound."

Their mistake.

Objective 1
[member="Cambria Zadira"]

A nod with Cambria, and the pair were continuing on. Coren was doing his best to try to settle his own signature in the Force, but working alongside the blue Twi’lek? The pair of them together were going to light up anyone searching through the Force as much as anything. The Light Side was obvious within the two of them. The way they worked together, it was that of closer friends, and Jedi-in-arms, they had seen all the galaxy had to offer and throw at the Jedi and the Alliance. As a result, Coren felt they were a bit closer than just colleagues, and that necessitated a nickname to her.

The Jedi Master nodded. As long as he and Cambria could sync up, they were in a good place. The dark side was obvious here and the Corellia looked around. He really wished he had the deployable probe. He needed to pick up some of the old Alliance SpecOps armor. And launch that second set of eyes. More feeling her next move than hearing it, he nodded.

Checking the charge in his blaster. He fired a few shots off before moving. Firmly getting the attention towards his Knight. Dropping the blaster rifle, he let it hang at his hip, grabbing the hilt of his saber as he moved, hurrying the family inside.

And that was when he heard the thermal detonator click. Diving towards the civilians, Coren threw up a barrier within the Force, almost instinctively. Having the connection to Cambria, he knew she was probably out of the reach but that detonation would still tear through a part of the structure.

With the ringing in his ears subsiding he looked at the father. “Stay behind me.” And with that his lightsaber ignited as well.

In the end, however, she did end up selling several batteries' worth of mortars; a company-sized battery of mortars depended on the number of "guns" in it, typically 4, 8, 12, 16 and 24 respectively in descending order of caliber. And also the Izumo and the Chalacta were included in the deal, with the Furutaka somehow displacing the Ventooine for infantry use in a suppressive fire capacity; perhaps it offered better mobility than a Ventooine, which was a better fit for mounted purposes, e.g. point-defense. The very sort of stuff she knew were easy to overlook by so many in the army, so this time around the trip wasn't completely wasted. Perhaps they would actually be using it in some capacity, defensive or offensive. But that was the first step to her. It was do-or-die time in this respect, and she must treat each and every business trip as if it was her last. Meanwhile, [member="Ayumi Pallopides"] seemed to have had a different set of commercial successes, probably because she was selling other wares. And, with the new contract in hand, she ought to keep a copy for the legal department.

Syd nodded to [member="Valkren Calderon"] and kept a good pace with him and his soldiers, one hand on her crossbow pistol, the other conjuring three miniature balls of fire that orbited around her hand as she followed the squad, running into a heavy, fleeing presence of civilians.

As her emotional capacity was reduced, this only unsettled her slightly. Her programming was explicit however--she was to go out of her way to avoid harming them. Syd paid attention to Calderon's orders to the others, following them through the alleyway...and then things erupted into chaos.

Rebels opened fire in front and above them. Syd raised her pistol, concentrated, and fired a shot that traveled clear across the alley and hit a sniper on the rooftop, the bolt going through the scope, then his eye. His body slumped, then slid off the building.

One of Syd's mini-fire balls flung towards another target at the building where the rotary cannon was already being emptied and saw one rebel catch fire, screaming as he fell, catching a few bolts from the fired cannon which flung him brutally into the wall as he fell, and she dodged a few bolts, going behind cover to load a bolt slowly into the pistol track. Then she decided where to fire it. She spotted more rebels trying to push them back and aimed at a spot on the roofs fifty meters ahead and above on her right, and fired. She watched the bolt hit the slates and concentrated. She vanished in a burst of flames and reappeared where she wished, on the roof itself, and in range of the rebels below. She was winded for a second from the exertion, the bolt acting as a magical tether for her pistol, which was quickly holstered but soon was releasing great swaths of flame from a golden, chrome colored hand, bathing the bodies not hit by blasters in fire, raining streams of it from her hand.

She controlled the fire chewing through now dead flesh, concentrating as hard as she could, making streams leap from bodies and fling fireballs at rebels, some streams leaping around cover. Summoning fire and controlling it was easy most of the time but extended control from multiple points, as well as making sure the fires were precise and did not hit any non combatant was capable of taxing her concentration. The gunship from overhead provided support fire but Syd still saw reinforcements, some with heavy repeaters.

Syd jumped from the roof, blue lightsabers activating...

(Mick Gordon Doom Soundtrack Plays)

Syd slowed her fall with force flight, dropping safely into the largest, hottest patch of flame she made, a twist of the wrist and the fire around her slowly expanded, driving some of the rebels away as Syd flew out of the flame, eyes bright orange as blue blades plunged into a screaming, burning rebel, slashing and slashing away, deflecting blasterbolts and running into a large patch of flames, having caused a great deal of the rebels attention, who all fired at Syd.

Syds blades spun in her hand, using her Force Flight to manuver her body, her sense directing her hands where to intercept...

She flew out of the flames again, phasing through an overturned speeder to reach the rebels trying to get to it for cover.

Syd's blades ripped into more rebels, precise, focused slashes removing leg and limb, piercinghead and chest, swift slashes crashing through and melting duraplast armor---

A burst of armor piercing rounds slammed into her from behind. Her suit took most of the shots, as it had been very welll made, despite its seemingly thin construction, but three had gotten through all the same, and now the front and back of her mid-section leaked fire, half of her head missing and now leaking fire from the inside of her "skull". The Geist rose in front of the terrified rebels, the gunship hitting some of them, some engaging her with vibroweapons as her shell began to break down, momentarily putting on the defensive before a stream of flame erupted from her mouth, which caused her shell to break down faster as two of her opponents caught fire as she was attacked from all sides. She needed to reach a fire soon.

Fortunately for her, she mused, as she parried attacks from two different rebels, if there was one thing this place wasn't in shortage of it was fuel...

The Flame Geist realized she was grinning and with a noticeable disquiet that crossed that slowly breaking down face soon after, realized she had missed this job. Missed being in the thick of it.

Syd was uncertain how to feel about this...

Kiso nodded to the Jedi master as they made land fall understanding what he was saying, once they had gotten the main threat under wraps the planets own security could hopefully take care of things. Placing her helmet on and licking it to her HUD she prepared for the coming fight, bringing assault rife to the ready as she and the other RRSTU hit the floor. So far things were quite, even if they knew fighting was only but a few hundred meters away, her internal biomedical map giving a live feed of the current troop movements on the field.

With professional movements she kept in formation with the other squad members, though keeping silent as the unit went about conducting it's sweep of the nearby area, no present threat detected so far. Until well things went down hill within moments several figures from above firing on the street troops, Kiso taking cover near an parked speeder as the shooter pinned her position, a event that latest a few seconds as no sooner had he revealed the location had the other rangers detonated their little hiding hole giving Kiso room to move up and regroup.

"Seems as if our Jedi friends are taking the the rooms, I'd keep eyes pealed for anything that may get past em", one way or another the enemy knew where they were, the sound of more gun fire echoing down the street, an odd bullet whizzing through the smoke screen. It was a welcome cover, but a curse to the rebels, from her HUD Kiso was able to see most of them firing blind into the grey cloud hoping to hit something but to no avail. Crouching down she aimed for the lead most rebel, letting off a few control bursts, quickly moving to the next target with robot like accuracy, downing contact after contact.

It seemed easy, maybe too easy, even if this was a rebellion run by Sith most of the enemies she had come into contact with seemed militia grade, even if they had decent equipment. "Hey Harri's does this initial defense seem to easy to deal with? The enemy fired upon us way to early to make the most out of their ambush, what is more they don't seem well trained nor any Sith around to give support, let alone regulars". Maybe the Jedi would have an understanding of where their dark counter parts were, all she could do was keep up a suppressing fire and make sure no lucky shot down anyone.

"Sarge, I don't like this, it feels like the sky's gonna fall on our heads, why couldn't they have brought hte mob somewhere nice and contained...like a nice ship or a space station? Oh oh Sarge! You think if we ask really nice they'll move their rebellion up to a space station, I can ask real nice like Sarge."

"I swear Davies, when we get home I'm gonna have you running so many laps around the field that you're gonna wear a rut into the track so help me."

"Aww, that's our sarge, always looking out for our health and well being."

"Davies..."

Asaraa couldn't help but smile at the familiar banter between the marines as she peered around the corner, watching as Colonel Calderon and his men cleared out the street in what looked like a well-practised procedure, each of the rangers falling into place like a well-oiled piece of machinery. The problem? They were so close to the armoury, to securing it that the Jedi could almost taste it, reach out and touch it. But that would avail them nothing if the pressure of the sith's forces kept them back from the walls of the armoury for long enough to allow them to be breached. The forces sent there way didn't seem wholly capable of stopping them, but then neither could the Silver Jedi's quick reaction force push up without risking casualties. At least not pushing up fast.

"Well, you heard the man, go go go." The smoke cloud settling on the ground was enough to blind the naked eye, the sith rebels shots going wide as they fired blindly into the smoke. The Rangers, on the other hand, came equipped with all their gear, which included infrared sensors that left the cultists clearly highlighted on the H.U.D.s. It was an easy task for someone to follow up and lay down the fire, almost unfair really. Asaraa could feel the stock of the rifle pressing against her shoulder as she took two steps forward, fired, taking another step before firing again. Other's might have had the advantage on her in terms of their accuracy and training, but it didn't matter at this range. The Marine's hopped forward, deploying out at the edge of the smoke as the buildings around them opened up with fire too. The scrape of armour on the ground cut through the sound of blaster fire for a moment before the Jedi nodded. "So, wall it is then." The silvery blade of her lightsaber ignited with a hiss, spinning in her hands. It was almost like a solid wall of light, catching each blaster, bouncing it back down the street as the marines pulled out of the cover they'd dived for, crouching down in the cover provided by the silver blade as they returned fire down the street.

"Safe to move up."

Valkren had called to them and said that civilans made the easiest route the worst. Collateral damage was not an option when alternates were available and there was a simple alternative so Yuroic followed Valkren's lead. The alleyway was perfect for an attack, Yuroic's eyes trained in all directions for attack. When the rebels attacked, Yuroic was prepared, his arrows speeding through the air and severely injuring and killing all the rebels he aimed for. His arrows were flying more accurate than Asaraa's shots. He chuckled to himself and shook his head. "Seems you still need non-lightsaber training huh little one?" Yuroic teased as he used an explosive arrow to kill a cover hidden opponent. When the smoke grenade flew out, Asaraa went for her Lightsaber. Yuroic let his helmet adjust for the new environment, strapping his bow to his back. The energy string was useful in close combat, however, Yuroic wanted use his hand to hand combat.

His movements were swift and sharp, disarming soldiers that dare to come near him. He parried a dagger that attempted to strike his throat. Swiftly holding the rebel in a tight headlock, he took the man's rifle and fired at several other rebels. Snapping the neck of the man he was holding. It was cold, calculated moves that Yuroic was commiting, however, that was the way with killing. He couldn't let his emotions affect this, he needed to do his duty and protect the people of this world. As he moved forward, he noticed Syd starting to leak fire from her suit, from how she was now appearing it was clear that the leaks were bad. He shouted to her, "Syd! Get that suit patched up and heal up. Need you fully ready for final push." Yuroic ordered as he used the force to slam rebels into the wall and shattering bones of their body, letting Syd a chance to recover. Igniting his Lightsabers, he spun them in his hands ready for the next wave.

"We have to push forward people! On me!" Yuroic ordered as he led the charge.

Objective: One - Rebellion
Location: Noverskaa - Ground, moving towards armory
Assets: First Ranger Special Tactics Unit. (Radama Raiders) x12
Luna dropship (Overwatch 2-1)
"Fire in the hole!" The detonator that Specialist Lowder heaved over his head primed and went off just as it entered the room behind the balcony. The following explosion cleared whatever rebels were present on that floor of the singular building. Debris and sparks fell to the streets as Lowder stumbled back towards his unit and the alleyway just as the smoke from the dropship began to billow.

Valkren reached out and hauled the specialist to his feet after he rolled to the ground during his tactical retreat, grabbing him by the back of his kit and lifting him up quickly. The colonel would give Lowder a good shove towards the alleyway, before turning back and raising his LPD blaster rifle towards the smoke.

Calderon was more than happy to see the marine unit of rangers follow their training. As soon as the smoke popped to provide the Silver ground team a clear path towards the alleyway, they took up the advantage and put their equipment to work.

The raiders were doing the same, using their advanced heads-up-displays to pick out targets as each of them moved toward the alleyway. Not only would they avoid putting the civilians in danger, but they'd also help rid them of any rebels they'd run into whilst in their retreat from the battleground.

Valkren did his own share of heavy lifting, picking off two rebels in quick succession. He was sure they were dead after delivering two bolts to the upper torso of each combatant. His attention was caught when Yuroic shouted an order for Syd to repair her suit. It didn't sound like casualty, but it still made the colonel perk up.

"Lowder, see what you can do about her suit!" Valk' nodded toward the specialist, before turning into the alleyway and continuing out the other side. He wasn't sure if any kind of medic could help her with that situation, so the specialist might have a way to help if she needed it.

Lieutenant Harris tapped Bower's shoulder, letting him know to move inside the alley as well. Now that the threat in the buildings was delt with, Harris turned to the enemies in the smoke while the rest of his unit and the marines continued on. Kiso's voice met the Lieutenant's ears, causing him to turn away from the direction his rotary cannon was firing.

"They're rebels! I doubt they even know how to fight! Let's get moving!" The commando yelled this out as he moved around the corner, giving another spray of blue bolts toward a pair of enemies in cover before moving back towards their objective.

The silver's group would avoid the largest civilian presence by taking their detour, and it did put them in clear sight of their objective. However, it wasn't the best situation in this case. The armory was in sight, and it wasn't pretty. The large building that most likely went underground had looked like it had taken a beating during the rebels initial take-over. Yet, the rebels still made quick work for defenses. They seemed dug in, and with a few sith operatives at that. Gun positions and windows with shooters peering out, they walked out of one killing zone and into another.

As for defenses, anything that used to be a building directly around the armory was practically leveled. Rubble, destroyed vehicles, and craters in the ground from explosives detonating were the only pieces of cover in between them and the armory walls. He was sure there had to be sith within as well.

The enemy rebels began their counter-attack, firing from the windows in the armory the forced open, and the roof as well. Several of the unconventional soldiers came out the doors of their objective, moving to meet the Jedi and Rangers head on in combat. Seemed like they wanted to show their loyalty to the cause. Valkren quickly moved to the nearest foxhole, diving into the mix of dirt and concrete that was the result of shelling. The other twelve soldiers in the Colonel's unit spread out, returning fire immediately as they found the best cover they could.

"Kiso's right! They were waiting for us!" Valkren pushed himself back to his feet, remaining in a crouched position to avoid the blaster bolts that peppered the area around him. He'd look overhead just as their Luna transport soared overhead. Many of the rebels turned their weapons up towards the dropship, red bolts streaking through the sky and making contact with the bottom and front of the Luna as it attempted to circle the building.

"This is overwatch, we're taking too much heat here! We gotta' pull up!" With that, their transport pulled away over top one of the nearby buildings, moving to make another pass.

Valkren popped out of his cover to deliver a few shots towards an enemy position, speaking out into their comms as they did so.

"Don't let them pin you down! Keep moving!"

Kiso continued to move with the group rolling her eyes at the remark, the man seemed like the stereotypical heavy gunner, all whoops and laughter while raining hell upon the enemy. Even still she was not 100% sure, no one made their defenses this week, not even badly organized rebels and if they were really bad fighters why was their moral so high? After the little light show with the detonators she was certain a rushed together militia crew would simply surrender and try to stay alive not fight to the death.

Regardless of what the other squad members said she kept a close eye out for anything out of the ordinary, falling in behind the other rangers while they advanced through the ally ways of the once populated streets. With each step her bio metric sensors giving her an indication on the possibilities of another ambush, it seemed to be the rebels only main form of attacking from what she had recorded so far.

As they neared a nearby corner just a few hundred meters away from the target location said sensors went through the room, internal HUD alarms indicated a sizable and well defended enemy location just ahead of them, but it was too late. A huge flurry of blaster bolts and slug impacted around the group, several of the deadly projectile impacting against her. Most were absorbed by the armor but two managed to gaze against her right arm, the hot bolts burning through the skin graph which overlay her metallic body parts.

"For karks sake this is what I meant", she shouted driving for cover as an explosion echoed from behind her, dirty being flung up into the air covering the women's body. Grasping to her belt Kiso threw a cylindrical object between her and the next fox hole, yelling out as she advanced under the rain of fire, "Throwing smoke, you Jedi people do you blaster deflection things"! A hazy grey screen of gas obscured the path for a few seconds, allowing the ranger to made it closer without a scratch, firing short bursts from her assaults rifle, half trying to hit half trying to suppress.

Objective one: we shall rebel and over come.

Canni Bale Boof sat waiting. He had a number of mind controlled rebels around him. He smiled as he spotted a cloaked figure within the force step in. "Tom Taff I assumed you would appear sooner or later. Rowin taught me well, especially when looking for someone of your calibar." The guards raised their weapons and fired at the position he was looking at. Except the blaster blots curved around the spot and blasted another guard instead as Tom dropped his force cloak.

"Rowin taught you did he. That explains a lot of your tactics, but I must ask where is your master now?" Tom said looking the man up and down while in his Noverskaan Wolves armour. The man smiled more "out of the way of you and your silver jedi helpers. If I am honest I don't even know his name anymore since I haven't heard of him since the last time I received a message when he failed to take you as a new apprentice. However it gave me the perfect opportunity to take you down and redeem my master's favour."

As the last word came out of his mouth another group of mind controlled rebels entered. This time armed with vibroblades and even lightsabres. Tom dragged out his two new lightsabres where he had seen something similar to this occurring. In his right hand was The Taff Vengeance and in the left was Mykes' Defender. As he did so, his Luxurious Cloak from [member="Drystan Marakos"] billowed around him as he used the force to blind a few of his opponents with it's whipping.

He sliced two of them down as the other three began began their attacks. One got hit with a fireball to the chest as he pushed the air into a fire to the man. The other two began fighting him backwards. But it only lasted a very limited amount of time as one was drowned by tom condensing the water in the air in the man's throat. The other began clutching at his throat as the air was removed from it.

Tom calmly stood looking at the Sith who had tried killing him so many times now as he got up. "Did I hurt your feelings, normally you try and keep people alive? Did I make you hurt?" He smirked. Tom looked at him "They were Sith much like yourself even if you hadn't mind controlled them they would have been a danger to the innocence of my planet." The Sith smiled even more "That makes it right does it? To end their lives just because of who they support?"

Tom stopped for a second before shaking his head "Perhaps, perhaps not I was a mandalorian before I was a jedi and mandalorians don't allow prisoners to be alive and dangerous to their civilians." The Sith stopped moving looking at tom quizzically before drawing his lightsabre and striking tom's face quickly. Tom in retaliation sliced his chest open quickly. Canni looked up as he fell to the floor "I actually hit something with my blade for once, I actually hit something." He laughed a death rattle as he continued in exclamation. "How about that I hit something." He died with a smile on his face. While Tom decided to leave the scar as a way to remind himself of what happened on this day and why he would endeavour to be less blood lusting.
