A Call for Help - SJO Dominion of Noverskaa (Hex AC26)

guillem-h-pongiluppi-trappist-1g-poster-guillemhp.jpg

A land of green, of forests and grasslands broken up by the blue of the sea, Noverskaa is the gem of the Novesk system. The home of Mirdirmout, the planet is nestled in the neutral zone between the territory of the Mandalorian Empire and the Order of Silver Jedi. A quiet unassuming world, the Noverskaars have rarely needed help from the rest of the galaxy, preferring to go their own way, acting as a neutral haven between the two factions while they were left to go their own way in the galaxy.

But slowly, things have been changing, on the planet, beset by threats from outside and inside the council of Noverskaa have opened their borders to the nearby Silver Jedi Order. Realizing they can no longer make it alone the Council have asked to join the trade union of the Silver Jedi, requesting they deploy to assist the Council with the crisis assailing their citizens.

The Rebellion (Objective One)

In the dark a hooded human male smiles (link Canni-bale-boof) his work is finally bearing fruit as a small group of dissident sith refugees from ME space have captured an experimental facility of Mirdirmoruts. It is finally time for the uprising. The leader who has been affected by the mind control of the man places a call sending out many of the weapons within the armoury. It is time to rise up. It is time to show the Sith they still support the cause. They shall take the planet for their masters.'

'Meanwhile Genesis, the Mirdirmout AI, recieves the distress call of not only the facility but also the city as many revolutionaries have broken through killing guards and stealing weapons. She sends a call to the Noverskann Ruling council as well the Silver Jedi. This day will be dark if they manage to figure out how to switch on the experimental droids before they can be stopped.'

In response to Genesis’ request, the Silver Jedi have deployed a contingent of Rangers and Jedi to the Armoury, hoping to stop the rebels before it was too late.

The Cure (Objective Two)

In the town of Tuuveskaa a series of strange symptoms have been afflicting the population, symptoms the local doctors are unable to diagnose. The doctors placed a call to the council, who contacted [member="Rachel Taff"] on Kashyyyk. Rachel had previously been involved with the construction of an advanced medical centre on the planet, and the Council thought someone with knowledge about the medical system on the planet might be the most useful in helping deal with this outbreak. With even doctors and nurses falling to the strange illness it is up to Rachel and her Silver comrades to figure out what could be causing the issue.

Trade Expo (Objective Three)

Not all is doom and gloom, determined to put their best foot forward to the trade opportunities coming with their alliance with the Silver Jedi, the Council are putting on a trade Expo on their space station. Mirdirmorut has been called on to show off their wares, along with any other company that would like to engage in trade opportunities with one another, or with the government of Noverskaa

(OOC: Many thanks to [member="Tom Taff"] for letting us set our Dom on his planet, bringing it into the Silver Jedi Order. As always, if none of the above objectives appeal to you then please feel free to bring your own objective and stories and remember guys, have fun!)

When you get a calling from members of your family, that there are attacks upon innocents, and members, You will investigate it. You will seek them out to answer the questions brought to you. You will bring them to Justice and face the consequences of their actions. That, is my purpose here. The limited reports I had received were of Force Sensitive beings, along with troopers of some kind, were attacking members of the Family, or those protected by them on Noverskaa. While I had never come to the planet for anything else other than business, I came now to cleanse those that would cause harm to my family.

I had stepped up to the calling. I had accepted the challenge of becoming Don. The Head of the Family. My rage was not my own. It was the Family's Rage. We were to never leave one of our own abandoned. Nor were we to ever let someone else attempt to harm those within our borders. We may not be of bloodlines, and Kindred species, but those who worked for, and with me, were more than that. They were not employees. They were not assets. They were my kindred.

Behind the helmet, I growled loudly. Anora stood beside me. Dressed in simple Echani Fiber armor. While she had a ligthsaber for herself, In my left hand, held onto in a reverse grip, was a massive claymore. A weapon that had once been used by myself for the Donna. A weapon to execute those who had wronged our people. Now, it was the absolute symbol of my ability to uphold our rules and laws. This was no Gavel in a court room. This was no Scythe of Death. This was both. It was the Judge of all those before it, and the Executioner of those who fell under it's edge.

"Must you be so angry?"
"I will sedate my anger when those who wronged us are no longer breathing."

Anora quickly found herself silent from my words. There was nothing that she could do to sway my mind. These people, these Sith, or whoever they were, would not be free to do as they please. I may be dark within the force. I may follow the Sith Code in aspects, nor do I follow the needless religion of the Empires formed around it. I am my own Sith. I am my own person. These people, will learn of the same.

Drawing deeply within the force, I found myself not quite the same. Pain ran through my veins in a way that I loathed, but enjoyed. Everything in my body felt tight and on edge. I could feel the burning of my muscle fibers. It pained me to draw on the dark side like this, but I needed all of these mongrels to know, that they would never meet up to my challenge.

Prelude
Whenever Zoe visits Noverskaa she typically ends up in The Lizard's Keep on some form of logistical business that needs overseeing for business with The Family, with the occasional venture to the waterfall of peace which she rather enjoyed sitting by. However there wouldn't be enough time for that today, there has been an incident amongst the population of Noverskaa, she had received reports of group of a rogue Sith splinter, content on handing out weapons to insurgents who appear to be attacking important assets throughout the planet. Typically she'd call on her fleet, which is predominantly funded and provided by the CIS meaning she couldn't particularly use them in this situation, nevertheless she wouldn't have any issues assisting with.. whatever she needs to do. The most important thing to her was protecting the Families assets.

Dealing with it
Before Zoe could do anything, she had to finish the unloading of supplies; arms, ammo and goods were, as usual, the typical bits and bobs being moved around, however someone reliable needs to deal with them, and Zoe just happens to be around at the time.

She stood outside one of the logistic offices in the warehouse, ensuring the operation ran smoothly. This would take some time and after hearing the situation throughout the planet she was positive that she'd be contacted by one of her fellow associates for her assistance. All she had to do was wait for this operation to finish...

Trade Expo:

Ayumi had some interest in helping the others and providing ships or supplies for what they might be able to get... she was all for that. Though this trade expo sounded great as Sasori was one of theleading and they had a number of new exotic technologies that could be shown across the galaxy. From their new mirrors to shrink equipment down to flat space pocket dimensions to turn smaller ships into larger and more powerful cargo ships. They had droids, ships, weapons and armor as well as clothing... really anything that might be able to be shown or needed. She had a smirk on her face while walking and wearing her robes with a look on her face across the way to booth where the different displays for equipment were being set up by Heinkel from Phenex.

Sith rebels. It seemed that there was a small group of Sith threatening the peace of Noverskaa, the SJO had been called to help restore peace to the planet. It was a request that Yuroic could fully support, though he wasn't clear on what their plan of attack was. Where were these Sith rebels and what were their plans of attack to the current government. Perhaps everything would be made clear after the meeting in the armoury. Yuroic stepped into the room and saw a woman supplying herself with an assortment of weapons. Yuroic gave a small wave to the new face, "hello, I'm Yuroic, Jedi Knight."

He was supplied already, with his trusty bow and several arrow types as well as his two Lightsabers. His weapons were ready as he looked around the room and didn't see anyone else yet. He must be early to the meeting for once, that was something to be glad about. He took a seat and checked the tightness and comfortableness of his armour as Yuroic thought on what threat the Sith might pose. There was likely to be Force Users as well as Non-Force Users. He just hoped that their plan went without a problem, as unlikely as that was. No plan went to plan.

Jessica was not overly adventurous and she usually trusted her subordinates to do what was necessary. It was then that she accepted to transfer some Xi Charrian marines that volunteered for the operation of rooting out a Sith-backed rebellion to commanders such as [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] on a planet called Noverskaa. I knew the Xi Charrians typically volunteered for any missions that involved fighting Imperials of any stripe, but did they volunteer under false assumptions? Did they volunteer thinking that the Sith Empire somehow backed those rebels? Jessica thought. But her last attempt to sell hardware to the Confederates ended in a failure, perhaps she could try selling mortars, machineguns, surface-to-orbit weapons such as energy torpedo launchers, or even other implements that worked with electromagnetic plasma, such as a MANPAD, sniper rifles or heavy repeaters. And maybe even sell MLRS systems or ERA as an after-market add-on to its existing inventory of armored artillery. And she knew that selling spacecraft was a harder sell unless they wanted to expand their drydock capability, but she nevertheless brought the entire catalog in datapad form.

Kiso followed behind master Yuroic as they made their way around through the warehouse of call, the marines that [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] supplied trailing just a little behind, mixed in with some rangers. She herself was a little confused on why the SJO was called to this place, considering how close it was to ME space and the apparent relation the Taff family had with them.

Regardless there was a Sith threat on world, threatening the current government and people, and any chance to fight against Sith Kiso would take, no matter how inconvenient or strange it would be. That and the fact she was one of the few main ground force commanders that was available for such operations, not that she minded, in the few months the women had been in the rangers her rank had increased to captain, over all giving more troops to command and more responsibilities.

As the hooded Jedi gave his introduction Kiso snapped a quick salute towards the women whom they were meeting with but kept silent for the most part, allowing the two to talk about this coming operation.

The Rangers trained for this kind of thing, in fact the Antarian Rangers could go as far as to say that they pride themselves on their deployment times. Constantly sent into the fray, helping others and the Silver Jedi Order wherever it beckons the soldiers.

So when the news came that the SJO was forming a Quick-Reaction-Force, Valk was quick to throw his team's hat in the ring. Now here they were, on a Luna transport inbound with twelve of the Rangers' hardest-hitting operators, the 'Radama Raiders.'

They didn't hesitate to prepare for what could be waiting for them when they get their orders. Every man and woman was clad in their relative Katarn armor system. Most, like Valkren, wielded LPD 'firebolt' blaster rifles, favored for their compact nature and variable charge system. While others carried more recognizable weaponry like their assault rippers, carbines, and faithful sidearms like the SHG. Some of the larger set operatives, such as Valkren's XO Lieutenant Harris, carried Z-6 rotary cannons.

Colonel Calderon was now on his second walk through down the middle of the troop bay in their Luna transport. Both gloved hands rested on his rifle as the officer inspected over the fire team of rangers he'd be leading. Each of the dozen were meticulously going over their kits before their arrival, assuring no weapon malfunctions or user-errors would occur once poodoo hit the fan.

"Sir, signal received says we should move to the armory!" The co-pilots voice crackled through into Valkren's comms, alerting him that they weren't exactly the first Silvers on the scene.

"Looks like we're not the first ones to the party..Move us that direction! We may be late for their briefings but if we get patched in we can still get our orders." He transmitted this back to the cockpit, before looking up to make sure he received a 'thumbs-up' from the co-pilot.

Rebel-hunt.. Now that sounded weird.

The middle aged soldier now moved back around from where he could, looking over the rangers in his unit one more time. He quickly switched transmissions to be sure his voice found his team members.

"Alright ladies and gents, you heard the briefing, what little we had of it. These aren't your neighborhood rebels, these are Sith rebels..That's right, they're on the bad guys side. So strap up and listen in for further orders. Solid copy?"

With a resounding yes answer from his question, he continued on his path to where the rear ramp of the troop bay rested, closed for the moment. He wanted to be sure that wherever they were going, he'd be the first off their boat.

There were a number of Orders in the galaxy, and they were all… well, right. As long as they held the Jedi call, and fostered the light to grow, to Coren that made them alright. As a bit of a ronin since the collapse of the New Jedi Order at the hands of the Sith, he found himself jumping from place to place. Helping the Shattered Order as an Eclipsed, one of the leaders that were trying to do their best with limited resources, and the new military state the Alliance in Exile had established around D’Qar. He had a few Jedi with him, [member="Cambria Zadira"] as one. But then he also found himself lending his hand to the Praxeum, and collecting Jedi that weren’t wanting to throw their lot in with one of the galactic powers.

It was good work, but he knew he had to get himself out there and working with everyone. Taking a spot within the New Republic’s Jedi Enclave was helping, giving him another view up o the Jedi and their happenings in the galaxy. And that meant he was also going to be doing some help for an Order he had worked with when the Levantines called it quits. Through out recent time in the galaxy, one thing that Coren did was assist the Jedi from all walks.

He was a defender of the Light. And with the Alliance at its current stage, he knew he needed to step back onto the galactic stage. And right now, on a supply run, and shake down of his larger freighter and its escort squadron, something to shake the rust from his mind. Aboard the ShortFin, the Jedi Master deployed his shuttle from the Alliance bulk freighter that was on its way to the trade expo.

“This is Starchaser, requesting clearance to enter Noverskaa.”

Objective: 1

Arrived in: Scorched Earth (http://starwarsrp.net/topic/136853-scorched-earth/)

Wearing: 451 Suit (http://starwarsrp.net/topic/136742-451-suit/)

Armed with: Wind and Fire Wheels (Twin Blue Bladed Lightsabers)

Shooting Star (http://starwarsrp.net/topic/138020-shooting-star/)

Syd piloted The Scorched Earth down through the atmosphere and to the coordinates she was to meet at. The low cruising speed helped her spot the meeting point, a warehouse in a land of greens. Her ship hidden by her Whisperthrust engines as she descended. Rebels! Sith rebels! Something she knew! Something she was good at.

Syd had cleared out places like this before. These were the sorts of operations she had been made for, burning through resistance with the ease of melting butter. Though she had just barely started to explore her individuality, buying small, unneeded trinkets to decorate the interior of her otherwise unfriendly vessel, the fact remained that she was what she was: a weapon.

She set the ship down, sensing light, dark, and everything inbetween. This confused her, and she had to remember to restrain herself from attacking any dark beings working with the SJO (Though this greatly irritated her.) as she floated forward, armed with her lightsabers and her assassination pistol, a crossbow based off those used by special ops from Commenor. SOE of Commenor, sixth field platoon, to be specific. She had a number of pouches, fire proofed to hold extra bolts in, clipped to her belt.

Syd flew into the warehouse, eyes glowing orange. She spotted [member="Yuroic Xeraic"], the dark feeling one whose name she did not know ( [member="Auberon"] ), and [member="Kiso"] and [member="Zoe Rosella"].

She landed and took a bow.

"Celsius, reporting in. How many rebels? Do you know what they are armed with?" The Flame Geist asked.

She need not necessarily do what she would normally do in these situations (Namely, kill it with fire). She had multiple ways to assist them. Much of her magic was geared to protecting and empowering others, or even hiding them, with the arcane fire spells she had either been created with or learned over the years. And this pistol was nothing to sneeze at.

"I stand ready to assist by any means necessary."

Objective: Find a cure

Reggie was in another situation where people were getting sick and his lack of experience was preventing him from finding out exactly what was wrong. the Padawan was wearing a mask and gloves so he could try and prevent himself from getting sick as well. The Padawan wouldn't be any good if he got sick as well.

Reggie had went to one of the patients in the medical center to see the symptoms for himself. He would then proceed to use the force to try and purify their body of the illness, which he knew might not work. While the Padawan did this, he also went over other possible solutions in his head and tried to gather what he had learned from working under Knight Raine, Doctor Hyonu, and others in a similar situation. Without the likes of them, Reggie would never have been able to help those other patients on Panacea.

Cambria feathered the shuttle's controls as members of the Shattered Order launched from the Shortfin to assist the Silver Jedi Order with controlling a rebellion that was brewing on Noverskaa. The hope was to quell the unrest led seemingly by a Sith in Mirdirmout before it got out of hand and spread planet wide.

The blue-hued Guardian had been staying close to Jedi Master Starchaser as of late ever since Romi Jade had fallen to the dark side on Dac; not so much as a babysitter, but that of a colleague who was concerned for the fellow Jedi's well-being. The Knight knew the two had been very close. Coren said he was okay, but the man was lying. The loss of the attachment had put him in a precarious position. Cambria was there to support him and keep the Master Jedi focused on the task at hand as well as making sure he didn't go down the rabbit hole too far. It's what loyal friends did for one another.

While Coren contacted the planet authorities for permission to proceed ground side over the comm, the Twi'lek sent their data. It had been a while since Cambria had worked with the Silvers. It would be good to see them again.

Marines could do many things, Asaraa had seen herself how they could regularly achieve miracles on a regular basis. One thing they were not though was terrestrial troops, the marines specialised in assaulting or defending tight spaces, starships, space stations, they could handle them all with aplomb. However, put them under the wide blue sky and vast expanse of a planet and all their vaunted trading would come to nothing. So it was a good thing they were going to be assaulting a building when they arrived, it might not have been as good as a space station, but the armoury they were headed to was almost as good.

The young knight stood in the centre of the walkway, her troops stretching out around her on either side of the transport as she ran an eye up and down the benches, watching the team securing the helmets of their Aegis’ with practised ease. She didn’t even have to touch the force to hold herself in place, the magnetized soles of her boots holding her in position easily. “Well, I’m not even going to try to follow that, but you all heard the colonel. It’s another planet a Sith thinks he can jump in, force out the local government and just do whatever they want in. I don’t want to see another innocent planet fall to the kind of fear and hate that the Sith bring with them. So watch your backs, and watch one another. We’ll let the raiders take point here, they’ve got more experience at planetary assaults, so follow them and listen in when the colonel gives an order. Once we get to the Armoury, then it’s our time to shine, but remember, Mirdirimorut is a weapons maker, so who knows what kind of nasty surprises they might have lying around down there.”

“You heard her,” the helmeted blank face of the Master-Sergeant glowered at the rest of the troops through his visor. “The first person I catch larkin’ around down there gets to clean out all the armour when we’re done, the second person gets to clean out the dishes, with their toothbrush.” A good-natured groan rose from the marines surrounding the career soldier and the proclamation of yet another one of his innovative punishments accompanied by a hurried checking of their armour and weapons systems. No-one wanted to risk seeing if the man was serious or not.

Location: Space Station
Objective: Trade Expo

Daphne walked about the space station, moving towards the area designated for the trade expo. There was a spring in her step and a wide smile on her face. Though her new job at Silver Rest saw her mostly writing reports, organizing data, and helping members of the Order look through the archives... there were some perks.

This happened to be one of them.

She was free to enjoy the amenities here on the station and browse the trade expo at will. However, she had been given a simple mission: purchase a new holo-camera for the Silver Jedi archives. She did enjoy taking photos, it was her favorite part of work. Daphne was pretty excited for upcoming missions, she hoped to be granted permission to try out the new holo-cam... if she could find a suitable model that was within her budget, that is.

The archivist got into the queue to enter the convention space, and was very pleased to be greeted with a small bag of swag.

“Nice.” She said, nodding to the attendant, even though his attention was already on the next guest.

Inside, there were numerous rows of booths and displays. This was going to take some time to navigate.

Shattered Jedi echoed a lot of the focus of the Silvers, from time to time, just living in a more Spartan life style. Cambria and the others accompanying Coren were always looking to do what was right, assist the Light, and put themselves on the ground floor of any combat situation. But today, they were here to work on moving Jedi and supplies around, and the fact that there was a strike from Sith? That made Coren even more antsy.

Having [member="Cambria Zadira"] around was a bonus. The Twi’lek Jedi knew him well enough to understand what he was needing in the past weeks, since Mon Cala. “At least this lines up the enemies, huh? We’ll have to link up with the rest of the Silvers, though.” He nodded, looking at his blue-skinned companion. Trying to link into the battlenet, he was hoping to bypass any struggles and get himself linked in.

“Again, Starchaser of the Alliance to Silver Jedi. Whats the call, where can you use assistance?” Sith were here, he knew he’d be going there.

Objective: Trade expo

Understandably, most of the items for sale were intended for larger-scale applications than individuals, but then again, independent individuals tended to be interested in, well, personal equipment. There were three items, maybe four if the Izumo somehow qualified as such, that could qualify under such for weapons (Balamak, Furutaka, Chalacta), but there were also two starship models: the Neimoidian Yacht and the Premion. Unless one wanted to be a fighter pilot for hire, of course; an AT-AT barge was a bit of a stretch for a civilian individual unless one was in the business of delivering speeder-sized cargo on a regular basis. Jessica had some questions from procurement officials regarding a few of the pieces of hardware, and how do these pieces get used, with their eyes on the mortars. OK, they had blast radiuses of 20, 35, 50, 100 and 150m respectively, but one needed to know what indirect fire was for. They will soon get their answers from one of those few people that actually incorporated mortars in battle: for some reason it seemed that dark-side factions only considered direct-fire artillery (other than guided missiles).

"Mortars: we don't often see manufacturers for that stuff, but, what do you mean, indirect fire?"

"Indirect fire means that you're firing at a target on which you have no direct line of sight, although mortars are also used when firing at targets that have vastly different elevations compared to the weapon's position, and it gets more critical on an ECM-heavy battlefield because it's unguided"

"Colonel, more intel coming through!" The co-pilot's voice chimed in once more, his tag and rank appearing in the upper right corner of his HUD, assuring the user knew who was speaking when it came from Silver technology.

"We've got a Silver signal located in a building down below, think they might be headed to the same location! Wouldn't take but a second to scoop them, sir!"

Valkren gave a brief glance over the troop bay, making sure they'd have room for a whole new group. He gave a nod towards the front of the drop ship before speaking up.

"Patch me in and transmit to them. Ground forces, this is Colonel Calderon of the Antarian Rangers, special tactics unit. We're setting down outside of your position if you need a lift. Luna transport with Silver Jedi markings." With that, he cut the transmission. The colonel, by protocol, picked out a group of four rangers that were closest to him by the troop bay ramp.

The drop ship descended in the clearing nearest to the group, the rear ramp lowering just as it touched down. The four rangers that were handpicked disembarked with weapons readied, as protocol mid-mission, they provided light security for the immediate perimeter. They'd remain there at least until the last of their allies boarded the transport.

Valkren would be the first person they'd see once aboard the transport and past the security.

Charlie stood near a doorway, with her hammers dangling from her wrists. She had just re-gripped the weapons and changed the leather binding to toughen them, this allowed the girl to be lazy as she was now and let them just hang. A hand moved across her nose as she sneezed, something in the air wasn't agreeing with her senses and it was giving her a slight hay-fever. Using the corner of her shadow armor, she wiped the bit of moisture that hung on the tip of her nose from the sneeze. A cough and a sniffle she was clear again and could focus on her assignment.

Rumors spread through the network from the rebellion. Assassination attempts under the shadow of the fight made sense, focus would be on the fighting and not on the shadows. Charlie mused as she stood guard, she had enjoyed her time with the council as it was interesting learning about a different culture. It made her studies seem not as dull. Still, she kept her wits about her and prepared for the worse. She made check ins with her friend [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] during her guard time and then continued to make her routine checks. Her current check was the doorways and hallways leading to the council room, it wasn't far, but she didn't like a second with her eye off the council. After a quick check, she headed back towards the main room.

Protect the Rebels.

Really?

The Imperial agent was usually busy putting down insurrections, not sparking them. However, they had their uses. Destabilizing a hostile neighbor to soften them up for later conquest (read: "liberation"), bogging down a rival with a proxy conflict, or creating a nice distraction to keep the heat off the government etc. However, in Arlen's case, there was none of that. This was just another extracurricular for some hefty payout of credits and favors.

A new empire didn't come cheap.

With the city now a warzone, it was a breeze of an insertion, most people too busy with trying to flee or murder each other. The maelstrom of death chaos was nourishing for the Sith, which left her with a pleasant buzz as she maneuvered through alleyways and corridors out of view of other rebels and security forces duking it out on the streets in frenetic urban combat.

Well, easy for Arlen, at least. She couldn't say the same thing for her cybernetic "friend", who was usually subtle as a proton bomb. That was fine and expected for later, but for now, she liked to get to the rendezvous without any firefights along the way. Under threat of dismemberment, 140 kilograms of annoying mass was ordered to hide away under a cloak of sensor baffling reflec with a taozin amulet.

So far, so good, but it remained to be seen how long that would last.

((I'm sneaking around at the moment doing some setup while my force signature suppressed, but I'm open to interaction once I make my way toward the council.))
