1. I do not think full out invasion is the way to go but to start with small battles upsetting Sith operations.
2. Reasons to take back Alderaan. One yes the phrik, two symbolism of what Alderaan stands for, three giant lab for how to combat vong terraforming.
3. The Freedom fighters need to build up reach out to other factions for aid. Also need some defensive positions.
Yes I've read all the posts here and see where some have a very vested interest. To me this is story telling, assessments are being done. Should the ancestral home of Leia Organa be let go so, or should it be a fight. Rianna and her family will always be looking to take Alderaan back. Whether it is now or later. It's always on their minds.
