STRENGTHS
  • Turtle Back - Between the optimized plating, enhanced capacitors, shield micropoles, specialized cap drains, and regenerative shield enhancements, the starship is well defended without adding significant bulk to the ship.
  • Maneuvering - One downside to making a ship with a plethora of enhancements is retaining the agility. This vessel manages to retain a considerable amount of its agility with enhanced thrusters and refined engine systems.
  • Speed - The most notable point of performance for the vessel even in atmosphere. Refined energy consumption and regeneration systems provide ample amounts of fuel to the system while optimizing the thrust to weight ratio of the vessel.
  • On A Dime - The Agility Array allows for unprecedented turning and surprise attack opportunities mid flight alongside alarming course adjustments.
  • Sensed - The VT-Refraction Sensor of the vessel is capable of scanning a large area, and finding a variety of anomalies within that area.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mediocre - The vessel is meant for scouting and anti-starfighter duties, and it's payload reflects this. While capable of providing a decent surprise first strike, a rearming trip for Torpedoes would be required.
  • ECM/ION - Even with a concerted effort towards resistance to this form of attack, a successful strike of this nature would have devastating effects upon the vessel. From loss of systems, to catastrophic reactor failure. This form of attack is the bane of this vessel.
  • Blind Find - While able to find a variety of anomalies and disturbances in its search, the VT-Refraction Sensor does not provide any depth of detail aside from location of anomalies and approximate shapes. Leading to potential hazards on little information.
  • Cramped - This vessel has no room for anything more than a pilot and integrated droid brain systems. Even during a rescue mission, the chance of anyone joining the pilot in the pressurized cabin are impossible.
  • The Essentials - Aside from a couple sets of clothes, small pair of weapons, and some rations, this vessel is not equipped for long ranging Scout missions. Designed for jumping ahead of the main group to survey an area and return.

While the x-wing was the common sight of hope and freedom, it represented something different to Tarish. Having spent time on more backwater planets compared to the core, the Z-95 Headhunter series was a more common sight as both defender and aggressor.

Those that owned one, enjoyed them, and maintenance seemed a cinch.

Desiring one of his own for easier travel, he put in the request for such a vessel from the same person that had created his blades. And they were all to happy to oblige.

While largely remaining true to the original design, some modifications were made to the canopy namely in the way of reinforcing the corners. A side benefit being a more aerodynamic line as opposed to the more rounded bubble shape of previous iterations.

Tying the intake systems of the engines together created a larger intake for the engines, heightening the mixture of fuel while creating a larger surface area to cool excess heat. While it created a larger heat signature, the caveat was deemed worthwhile with increased engine function.

Replacing previous weapons systems with more specialized ones provides considerable anti-starfighter capabilities as well as excellent ground strafing armament. One alteration was a dedicated energy torpedo system rather than allowing both launchers to remain physical munitions.

Dotting the exterior of the vessel are a number of smaller systems spread out to maximize the available gray space that would otherwise be unused.

Sporting specialized cap drains and shield enhancements to further the survivability of the vessel. Enhanced thrusters for agility and speed, as well as a system for atmospheric and zero-g maneuvers.

Maximizing the space in the nose of the ship for Sensor Systems by adding to the overall size, the space has been filled to the brim with scanners. A concern for EMP effects was noted but giving the ship the heightened capacity for Sensor data was first and foremost.

Smaller additions to the vessel include a belly mounted magnetic cable for in system cargo hauling, external amenities for atmospheric ground work, and even a window tinting system to keep the pilot from being blinded with sudden excessive light.

The rather drab exterior hiding the potential of the vessel with a modest, yet sleek re-design.
