  • Due to the use of Graphite in the compound, the material retains some surprising characteristics not usually found among most common metals. The material does not exude a magnetic field unless exposed to a magnetic field. In which it will generate and align it's newly generated magnetic field with the introduced magnetic presence.

+ Face Hardened + Fresh off of the mill, the material is face hardened and is difficult to damage using physical force.
+ Conductive + While the material is conductive due to the alum and graphite present inside. It is resilient to foreign ionic and emp signatures after being tied into a framework with proper grounding and forms a rudimentary faraday cage when properly applied.
+ Radiant Bliss + Another boon of the graphite present in the blend. The material is surprisingly resilient to radiation emissions even in prolonged or directed exposures.
+ Energy/Plasmatic + Using graphite in the compound alongside reliable grounding procedures during construction gives the material better chances against standard energy based weapons to dissipate the energies along the dense cellular structures. The floating electron within the graphite structure inside the compound allows the foreign energy to be drawn across the surface of the material rather than concentrating its destructive power to a focal point.
+ Saber Resistant + The addition of Duranium gives this material a lighter weight and the added boon of being lightsaber resistant in better than average ways. While it won't hold off the weapon forever, it is not as easily marred without some focused and prolonged attacks.

- Bad Vibrations - The material composition is actually quite weak against sonic based attacks. Through focused attacks the material itself could succumb to this form of invisible attack.
- Brittle - The face hardening of the material during casting or application is a boon against kinetic and other physical attacks until the material is damaged. While the core of the material might be flexible, the shrapnel that permeates the hull or diffuses across the front is a life threatening caveat.
- Improperly Caged - If the material is not properly grounded to the framework of whatever is being plated or built upon, the first foreign ionic charge will fry everything in contact with the plating with devastating effect. The material is very conductive and improper or damaged grounding will potentially result in more than electronics being scorched.
- Disrupted - The material offers no protection from Disruptor based weaponry whatsoever and is readily felled by this form of attack.
- Vehicle vs Organic - The material might be appealing to some as a form of body armor and while applicable, it is not the best option due to the need for proper grounding. Ionic weapons could end up fusing the plates together or to the body directly due to the exposure and transfer of sudden, high energy particles.

The addendum to meet the need for a starfighter viable material was found when trace amounts of duranium were added to the composition of Alardite. With a reduction in weight with the blended composition somewhat porous and thus lighter. While a small concern was noted at the relative ease with which weaponized elements and acids could, for lack of a better word, seep into the porous sections of the material. Being geared for the larger market as a readily prepared and available material, it concerned Niki little with the materials stability against somewhat unusual dangers.
