Faction Welcome to the Hellmakers [The Family]

Kardek Alpha

OPEN TO ALL FAMILY MEMBERS INTERESTED IN JOINING THE HELLMAKERS

It was a rather dark night. The noises of Coruscant's bustle were ever present, the planet that never sleeps. And tonight was no different. The Family Hangar had been mostly vacated except for a handful of ships, including The Harbinger. An important meeting was about to transpire on the hangar floor, and this meeting was not appropriate for an elaborate hall or some other venue of the like. No, This meeting was hidden... exclusive... secret. There were many reasons for this, but most notable among them was the fact that what was about to transpire here could never be linked back to the Family in any way. Every precaution had been taken, with alibis being provided for every individual that was present. And those that were here had already been vetted and carefully selected. Each person had mysteriously received a metallic card with a strange insignia engraved onto its surface. When accessing the technology embedded within the card, all that had been found was the date and time of this meeting along with a rather ambiguous tagline: "Come prepared"... and as soon as that information had been seen, it simply disappeared, leaving no trace of the data.

N7HnzFF.png

Kardek stood in the hangar close to his ship, flanked by the highest leaders within the Family...

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae ... This powerful Capo would be overseeing this new development, and Kardek would be report directly to her moving forward.
Marcella Fiora Marcella Fiora (represented in this meeting by Mairéad Solus Mairéad Solus )... This sophisticated Capo that Kardek had been serving under for some time now had been a key voice in early conversations, developments, and financing.
Dedata | Celty Ree Dedata | Celty Ree ... This mysterious Capo had helped significantly in equipping and programming much of their technology and systems.
And, of coarse, the illustrious Donna herself was present... Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud ... who would be giving this venture her blessing, even if it was just by her mere presence, which spoke volumes.

The gunslinger was fully armed, adorned in his typical leather trench coat which effectively hid his dual balsers underneath. His mandalorian beskar chest armor was visible under the coat, and he looked like he was ready for a serious fight, which hopefully everyone else was prepared for as well. Alpha stood beside him, armed with his repeater cannon and fuel cell strapped to his back. After concluding some preliminary conversation points with his leaders, Kardek turned and took a step forward, looking with furrowed eyebrows at those gathered before him. A sense of pride filled his chest at the prospect of this becoming his new team... each person standing before him was deadly, professional, and very good at what they do. Such a team could accomplish much.

"Thank you for coming." His voice projected confidently throughout the large space, echoing off the distant walls. His hands flipped back his trench coat, allowing his palms to rest on the hilts of his weapons as he continued, "You're probably wondering what the kriff this is all about." He smirked, "Most of you know me, and I know you. We have fought beside each-other, serving The Family... serving our Donna..." His hand stretched backward towards Ivory with respect, "Our Capos..." His hand then spread wider towards Marcella, Stardust, and Dedata, "And now our service is being taken to new heights. You are here because we trust you. We trust your commitment, we trust your discretion, and we trust your abilities. What we are about to share with you can never leave this building." Kardek looked around, catching everyone's eyes, "If anyone has any reservations, now is the time to leave. If you choose to stay, I will interpret your presence as all-in commitment to this new endeavor." Kardek took a moment of silence to allow everyone to process their decision. Once everyone had made their choice, he continued...

"I am forming an elite tactical team that will serve the interests of the Family. We will operate independently from the Family in order to safeguard against any potential blowback. I will report discretely to Stardust, who will be our primary overseer... however we will provide our services to all of the Capo's. This team will have the liberty to engage in it's own pursuits as well, but the Family will always come first."

Congratulations, you are now a part of a criminal black-ops unit called the Hellmakers."
With that, he turned towards the Capos and Donna behind him, "Before we continue, is there anything any of you would like to say?" Kardek opened the floor to the Families most prominent leaders.

Stardust felt electric! It had been awhile since something made her feel this way, dressed in her best armor Stardust would flank Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha closely as they made their way through the hangar to those gathered around. Taking a step off to the side she crossed her arms to take in those gathered while she let kardek speak his piece, after he was done Stardust nodded her head and stepped up

these missions will be high risk...but expect a high reward for them as well...the hellmakers are meant to be a more military centric pmc group that can operate without consequences to the family...at least that's what it shall go as

She grinned and clapped her hands together as she smiled, by the force she was to excited for her own good and wanted to get to work immediately...especially with what she had planned

other then that? Not much else to say, I will be overseeing and directly participating in operations. Everyone here should know my prowess on the field of battle, for now I'll let kardek speak

He decided to wear his more utility based armor this time around as he made his way the drone pieces of his armor floated behind him when he entered the room he walked in with a repulsor lift carrying several crates, when he stopped he nodded to Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae and Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha , the end of his spear made a brief clang sound when he planted it to the ground and had the lift move over to before them.

Consider it a gift, May it find use too you, it is not much but it should do.

The crates where labeled accordingly 2 crates containing 18 each e7 - Acid Mines, a crate of T-7- Vibro Braces ( 12 in the crate) a crate of 20 G-11 Shield gauntlets 6 Crates of each of the following Noverskaa steel, DION fiber, Limestone spray.

After that he merely walked off to the side to wait for the others to show up and listen to what both Stardust and Kardek have to say and where they maybe deployed

Jay looked at everyone there, the Donna, the Capos, and Kardek. It was weird seeing the man in a more serious setting, taking things more seriously. He was there in his normal bounty hunting armor, with his normal weapons. While Jay had to admit working closer with Stardust did still worry him, but he figured if he was picked for this he guessed he wasn't on a chopping block or anything. Too many good guns for that. This was a bit... familiar to him though, and Jai's mind flashed back to Concord Dawn for a moment before he shook it off. No. This wasn't he same. He'd be fine.

He then saw all the new weapons. While Jay did have a preference for his revolvers, even setting his eyes on a rifle version of his Rims, the gear would be useful. He continued to look around, at the others, listening to Stardust's words. Another flash of memory, and Jay would close the his eyes, now having a blue glow to them. He was still getting use to the things. Maybe that was it. Just getting use to the tech. Plus, he'd still done stuff like this for years. So he'd just listen for the time being.... And maybe peek closer at those weapons crates.

La Kosa Nostra. La Famiglia.

The Black Oak had grown strong, indeed.

First, they'd begun on Coruscant; rising from the ashes of near-total destruction, entrenching themselves into the Galaxy's Capital - burrowing deeply into any empty space they could fit. What did not yield immediately was eventually weakened. The ground gave way. Beings from every level of the City-planet were either subsumed or willingly bowed to the inexorable expansion.

Then, Denon. Progress had come slowly. The cultures & peoples which roamed the neon Corporate Paradise were entrenched in a duality symbolized by gleaming towers of glass & steel which rose from trash-littered streets & millions of faceless forgotten souls imprisoned in a web of illusion & deceit. The Family was one of thousands of gangs... but their ability to operate in the shadows gave them an edge which allowed them, in a short amount of time, to plant seeds which (they hoped) would last many years to come.

Then, Epica. This ancient paradise, ruled by Families & Syndicates not unlike The Family itself, would likely prove to be the hardest endeavor yet. Where Kosa Nostra's money, influence, and penchant for subversion & surgical violence had given them progress elsewhere, Epica was a place both ripe & resistant to their unique brand of "business". Only time would tell how successful The Family would be, but The Black Oak had grand designs on such an open slate for conquest.

The Donna herself had realized, months ago, that such unique & varied problems would undoubtedly call for equally unique & varied solutions. She had chosen & trained her Caporegime well - building a foundation for the Black Oak to grow strong. They had recruited skilled criminals & problem-solvers, each boasting skills gathered from lifetimes lived within the dark collective underbelly of the Galaxy's criminal elite. Some were merely content to follow orders...

Others, however, had chosen to take a more personal role in the further development in their future.

Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha was one of these.

As the handsome rogue made his introduction to the collective assembled before them, The Donna stood - the barest hint of a smile on her ruby lips - as she listened intently. She let Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae speak first, pleased that the Emerald Dragon had accepted the responsibility of supervision over (what Ivory assumed) would be The Family's most dangerous asset. When it was time for her to speak, The Donna stepped forward - fingers laced together at waist level in what would now be a familiar stance. From beneath the wide brim of her black Fedora, The Family's Matron raked her penetrating violet gaze across each of them in turn before speaking...

"Ladies & Gentlemen, the commitment you make here today is no small endeavor. The Family has many enemies; most of which, we have not yet even learned of. You will not only be entrusted with great power, but also with the ability to determine - by your actions every day - the future of our Family. Success will ensure our continued survival. Failure may spell our destruction. To that end, I will authorize personally any requests for equipment or augmentation which may enhance your capabilities in the field. Secrecy & dedication to our ideals are prerequisites - even more so here than within La Kosa Nostra itself."

She paused, allowing her words to sink in... then continued:

"To that end, membership within the Hellmakers is reserved only for those who've undertaken the oath & received The Brand. As each of you have either done so, or are already entering the process, I don't believe we have anything to worry about there..."

The Donna smiled a devil's smile.

"Your missions will take you across the Galaxy; not just on worlds we control, but from the furthest edges of space to the Deep Core. Often, you will operate with little-to-no supervision or backup outside of your own team. Trust No One outside of those within this room; not even other members of The Family. You will answer to myself & my Caporegime directly... and Kardek," She said, turning to look at him directly.

"That goes for you, as well."

"I am immensely proud of each of you for joining us in what will be our greatest weapon against any threat to our supremacy. You are not just Defenders of The Black Oak, but our scalpel. Stand tall, my darlings... for you are the best in the Galaxy."

Satisfied, she signaled for The Hellmakers XO to continue.

Lliara Daeva

Pharmaceuticals (Save|Kill)
Denon. It had been Denon. That was where Lliara had found the thread that led straight to The Family. Fiora Defence Systems, in particular. There had been an exchange masquerading as a raid for legal purposes, and the Mirialan had been one of those doing the raiding. Not that the weapons cache had the slightest interest -- a simple means to an end of acquiring credits for far more hard to come by materials. That and securing access to systems otherwise inaccessible from outside of the facility. Systems with data that given enough time could be plundered.

There hadn't been anything that fingered Ivory Stroud, for example, as the Head of this little Family, but there'd been paper trails. Resources moved about. Arranged by Fiora's company by her hand or another's. In any event, things stood out to someone like Lliara -- a person that made other peoples' business her business. Exploiting others was something of a hobby, really. A lucrative one that furnished finances for her scientific explorations, which were quite expensive in nature. To say nothing of all the unwilling yet convenient test subjects found along the way.

Not that many among the Family had been... properly introduced to Lliara. Her arrival was relatively recent. Some of them might even recognize her pressed, meticulously cleaned black suit and its equally black helmet with a single, crimson line that cross across the eyes. Long enough to earn a metallic card, however. Probably because she was a known... Chemist. One with a hand for medicine as well. They'd yet to make use of her talents as an experienced and accomplished interrogator. More was the pity, really, but they'd probably find a use for those skills at some point.

For this little soiree, Lliara's swept helm was parted to reveal her face. Not that anyone ever needed to see her face to know her. The old-style Inquisitor uniform she enjoyed wearing whenever possible was often enough for recognition even with the helmet sealed.

As the time drew near, the Mirialan woman stood with her golden eyes on a miniature screen attached to her forearm. Just because this was a meeting didn't mean she had nothing better to do. It was a big galaxy, and if this quaint business card didn't pan out in terms of an opportunity then she needed to have another gig in mind by the time she left their company.

Once Kardek began to speak, however, Lliara's eyes lifted to regard the man. Her dark lips curled up at the corners once he'd gotten around to the matter of 'trust.' It wasn't that they couldn't trust Lliara, it was just the wandering nightmare knew how to get the great majority of people to break such trusts. Not all of them, of course. Plenty of people were naturally immune or knew techniques to keep their secrets, but most weren't so... committed to their cause. Not as much as they would have liked. You couldn't teach everyone to resist all forms of torture, but you could restrict who knew the most important tidbits.

As much of a... free agent as Lliara held herself, she rarely betrayed anyone she'd fallen in with. Only if they earned it. So, as for the matter of trust, they could trust her. As much as anyone could trust another.

Then the green Twi'lek spoke. Stardust. The boss's boss, so to speak. Talk of risk and reward washed over Lliara as a fine mist on a Spring day. The Mirialan lived with high risk every day, and twice any day she was wandering the stars doing 'off the books' jobs like this without a backing. Well, a scientist had to do whatever was necessary for the sake of an experiment, didn't she?

Speaking of which, Lliara's gaze turned to the next speaker with an even broader smile gracing her lips. Ivory Stroud. Oh, yes, she remembered the woman from Denon. The Mirialan had quite the memory -- matter of pride, really. As brief as their... interaction had been, Lliara recalled Ivory vanished quite early on into the 'raid' on Fiora Defense Systems. Wasn't it funny to find out one of those running among Darkwire associates had been the Matron of The Family? Hilarious, even.

Though it did take an edge of that smile with Ivory launching into talk of success and failure. Lliara didn't believe in failure. Set backs. Delays. One door closing, another opening. If there was any true failing it would result in Complete Death, after which there'd be little time to care. It might be prudent as a leader to do so -- Lliara was accustomed to being somewhat of a lone-wolf -- but to her it seemed frivolous. Why were these people here if they intended anything less than giving their all?

There was some good news, however. Kardek and Ivory were confident those assembled could operate freely. Yes, some missions and requirements and so on, but they weren't trying to shackle Lliara. It made their relationship so much more viable, and mutually beneficial in the long-run.

It was a shame that Marcella Fiora Marcella Fiora had not been able to attend this meeting. It was not through any lack of interest or undestimation of how useful a group like this could be, but the business orientated Caporegime had a thousand and one different pots on the boil and people to see and with the greatest will in the world, could not be everywhere. Which is where her Capo was able to step in as Marcella's representative. Marcella trusted her new Capodecina to be able to speak here and make appropriate observation, that was the theory anyway. This was Mairéad's first such appointment, and much to her suprise, she didnt feel out of place or like she didn't belong her.

She had watched as Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha gave his bold introduction, the man was very confident and looked pleased to show off what he brought to the Family. She could not blame him for this, she had the same pride for her own contributions, Mai did wonder what he might think about presenting to Mai along side the bosses, given their simmering rivalry in certain matters, but Mairéad was sure that he, like her, would treat their friendly tension entirely separate to their professional dealing and she went in to this purely with Marcella and her part of the organisation's interests in mind.

As the individuals lined up she spotted Jai'galaar Gred Jai'galaar Gred and Skorvek Skorvek lined up, already known to her. She did not recognise the Mirilian woman Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva , but her name was recorded along with her species for the bosses attentions so Mairéad was able to pick her out of the group. Fascinating, a new member of the family being inducted into a high collateral risk part of the organisation, she would need to be more closely monitored until she had proved her place but from Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae and Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud 's word, Mairéad had little worry that she hadn't been vetted by Kardek.

After Ivory spoke, it felt an innapropriate time to be asking too many questions to slow down their demonstration, she could ask more later, mostly around how the connections and command structure would accomodate professional deniability. She did speak aloud though, "Good to see you my friend," she had a little private smirk to Kardek. "I'm here for Ms Fiora, we are very interested in your demonstration and have a fee business considerations for afterwards. Good luck." That was genuine, this was his "Reveries opening night" he deserved for it to go well.

She took her place next to Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud and spoke more quietly and respectfully. "This should prove interesting. I'm curious how this PMC like group falls within Alliance legislation, private sector security, mercenary, that kind of thing. Is Arturo Arturo In the loop with this before I discuss anything with him?" She knew that Fiora already had armed security units, so a large company hiring supplemental units for certain tasks ran the risk of raising flags with the Alliance authorities.

“I can play nicely,” Thayne said coyly as his new superiors opened the floor.

Although his work with the Family had been admittedly sparse, his reputation among both friendly and competing syndicates across the galaxy had earned his name on the list of candidates for the Donna’s elite company. And while it was true he preferred to work alone, Thayne saw only a bounty of opportunities ahead, where before there was nothing.

Dead ends and locked doors would open with flourish now.

The only question left was, when he can start showing off his favorite rifle?

Kardek Alpha

I’m Kardek, He’s Alpha

Kardek let a smile spread across this face for a moment at Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae 's excited reaction to the Hellmakers. He shared her excitement as well and was very much looking forward to this new endeavor.

Skorvek Skorvek was surely ready for conflict with a set of very impressive armor. He nodded in appreciation at his contribution to the Hellmaker's stockpile. "Thank you, Skorvek. Glad to have you with us." He eyed the crates with a sparkle in his eye.

His eyes met those of Jai'galaar Gred Jai'galaar Gred , a fellow Made man whom he had been on operation with, specifically during the Fiorian heist. He offered a respectful nod at his presence, grateful to see him as well. He would make an excellent addition to the team.

As Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud stepped forward to address the Hellmakers, Kardek stepped to the side and turned towards her, listening intently to her words. It meant an awful lot to the man to have her present for their formation. He had developed a tremendous amount of respect for the Donna, and her presence was validating of his efforts. As she mentioned his name, Kardek straightened even more, looking into her piercing eyes. She seemed to emphasis specifically that the XO should only report to her and the Caporegime directly. Kardek's mind processed the reasons for such emphasis, wondering if it was possible that the Donna suspected other allegiances. Ultimately he was unsure of the full reason for the statement… it could be as simple as a reminder, or as serious as a threat. Either way, Kardek nodded respectfully in agreement to her words. He was being given great responsibility, after all, in leading this team. He could not afford to fail. He would not fail.

Kardek's gaze then fell onto Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva . She was not someone that Kardek had personally interacted with, but he had read through her file and had observed her from a distance. After consulting with the Donna and her Capo's, he had decided to extend an invitation to her. She would truly be an invaluable addition to the team. He gave her a respectful nod.

Kardek turned then to Mairéad Solus Mairéad Solus as she spoke, who was here on behalf of her Caporegime, Marcella Fiora Marcella Fiora . Kardek was internally disappointed that Marcella had been unable to attend… He had been looking forward to this moment for some time now. However he hid such disappointments under the surface as he nodded and offered a slight smirk of his own for the briefest of moments. It did grate on him that Mai always seemed to be one step ahead of him in everything… in rank… in certain relationships… however he would not let anything take away from this moment. And he did respect Mai.... She had proven herself on multiple occasions to be a formidable warrior. He nodded respectfully at her greeting. "Thank you, Mairéad." He said with an air of professionalism.

As Thayne Tameron Thayne Tameron spoke up, Kardek turned toward him. His statement made the XO smirk. "We did not invite you into the Hellmakers to play nicely, my friend." he jested in return. From that point he moved to again address all of the Hellmakers who stood before him.

"We are not soldiers. We are Bounty hunters. Gunslingers. Scientists. Mercenaries. Smugglers… But I believe, with mutual respect for each other and our combined abilities, we can be even more… We can accomplish even more."

Kardek turned towards his R-9 Astromech droid, who was waiting behind Alpha, "Nine, please display our new headquarters." Nine approached, activating his holo-projector in front of everyone in attendance. Immediately everyone could see the image of a compound nestled within a rock formation. "This is our recently constructed base of operations. It is located on the planet of Lahos. This is where we will meet for strategizing operations."

qJuO7W8.png

He nodded at Nine, who switched to the next slide, revealing the schematics of a starship, the Harbinger, "This is the Harbinger. It will be our mobile command center. We must be mobile and able to freely operate discretely and effectively throughout the Galaxy. The Harbinger will allow for us to strike anywhere we please. It is fully equipped with the most modern advances in technology, thanks to the resources made available to us by the Donna." He nodded again, and then the holo-image disappeared.

The-Harbinger.jpg

"We will have drop sites scattered throughout the galaxy, with weapons, credits, and safe harbor available. We will access everything… the base of Operations, Mobile Command Center, and drop sites… with these…" Kardek held up his own metallic Hellmaker card, the same card that had been provided to each member present. "These cards contain encrypted technology that will not only grant you access to our assets, but will also function as your own secured bank account. You can use these cards to transfer funds from your account and to receive payment for your services. Keep them secure."

N7HnzFF.png

Kardek removed a data pad from his pocket and typed in a command. Suddenly the two subtle lines on everyones cards turned a tinted green color, blinking twice, before turning back to the original grey hue. "Your cards have been activated." Kardek informed. "There are more details we need to discuss, but we can do so at a later date. Today we are simply taking the first steps in a long and rich journey together, there is much to come. And as one of those first step, I felt that it would be informative for the Donna and her Caporegime's…" Kardek then turned and nodded at Mai, "… and Capodecina… to receive a demonstration of each of our skills and abilities in action." A confident smirk crossed Kardek's face as his eyes looked out at everyone before him. He was sure that they would rise and excel at what would come next. "I believe that Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae has something particularly special planned for us this evening." He turned and relinquished the floor to his Caporegime, "Star, would you care to elaborate?"

Lliara smiled back at Kardek. At the same time, the Mirialan's arms casually stretched forth and with a flourish two long needles seemed to appear out of thin air, twirl across the backs of her fingers once, and vanish just as quickly. A nod with the same depth as his own followed suit.

Soon enough the man had a speech of his own. Well, assembling a squad of criminals did make one think a great deal of pomp was necessary. If not for one's ego, then at least to make the day stand out from the countless other ones. She didn't begrudge the man for basking in the moment; Lliara enjoyed basking in her achievements as well.

With that in mind, an announcement of their base of operations was made. The Mirialan couldn't say she knew of Lahos, but then there were so many planets in the galaxy; most of them little better than solid rock. Her golden rings narrowed when schematics of a ship appeared; they soon widened as a smile touched her lips as she spotted the medical bay. Delightful.

Then, after talk of payment and supplies, something quite... amusing was brought up. Kardek wanted them to demonstrate their skills and abilities. The green Twi'lek was asked to lead this procession of danger and intrigue it seemed. Well enough, in truth. It would help Lliara gauge the sort of demonstration they expected or desired. After all, she had a number of skills that would require a volunteer to be truly effective. Demonstrating on a fellow member, however, wouldn't go over well. The trials of being an artist in particular pursuits.

Star bowed her head to Kardek Alpha Kardek Alpha as she was given the floor, taking in the room again she nodded to the room

alright folks! I understand some of your skills cannot be tested on ah your fellow hellmakers, since I do not want anyone put out of commission...

She raised her wrist and tapped on a button, nearby a shipping container opened and about 10 commando droids walked out and stood at attention ready for orders

my personal commando droids I use for training, please make good use of them, as for those who do not have combat skills...please come to me and tell me about them! I know for a fact if your here your skills must be up to the task

With that she stood back and crossed her arms ready to see what this group of people can do...she hoped everyone was truely ready for missions ahead

Jay listened intently, surprised by the card, and the information about the base and ship, Sure he had his own, but something specially outfitted for this stuff was better than the load and proud Cloud Breaker, or the more utilitarian new bird he was looking at. Then he heard about something Stardust planned something, and that was soon clear as the commando droids walked out. She... trained on these? Holy kark. He looked at the others, looking at the other before stepping up.

"Well if no one else wants to go first, I can show off a bit." Whether someone went ahead of him or not, when his time came he'd walk up, looking at Star. "So I can't really show animal training since I didn't bring any of my pets, but I'm good with pistols and vibrodaggers." Jay would then walk out to where the droids were, ready to fight them. He stayed ready until hearing some sort of go, and quickly drew his Rims. He'd loaded them with some training rounds that the droids should at least feel when he pulled the triggers. He fired at two of them, then aimed for another, at least until any looked like they got close, when he'd pull out one of the daggers to slash at the droid. He'd keep going until either he beat the droids, or the droids beat him though. Or if someone told him to stop.

Lliara Daeva

The tall, green Twi'lek seemed to understand a woman's plight. No permanently disfiguring, maiming, or otherwise killing your own team mates, right? That had been a rule even the Inquisitors of Old had followed. Not that it helped build camaraderie, of course. Well that was inevitable when you had the Sith as your overlord.

Not that Lliara considered herself a social butterfly. A manipulative, conniving black widow, perhaps, but not someone that cared deeply for others and would be weepy in their passing. Well, some habits died hard. Usually because Lliara had been insanely secretive and manipulative over her long years. Would the Hellmakers be different...? Who could say. Far too early.

A dark, angular brow drew down over her nose as Lliara's head canted a bit to one side. Commando droids stomped out into view and Stardust announced they would be the group's punching bag for the demonstrations. It wasn't... quite what the Mirialan had expected. Perhaps some organic captives? A slaver? Everyone seemed to love butchering slavers these years. Droids were tantamount to her Achilles heel. There were ways to deal with them, but her particular set of skills worked better on the living -- things with respiratory or cardio-vascular systems. Chemical rather than electrical in nature.

The offer to tell Stardust about one's skills rather than show them was a relief.

Whilst Jai'galaar lined up to demonstrate that combat prowess that Lliara had little interest in demonstrating, herself, the Mirialan calmly made her way over to where the tall woman stood. Tall was selling it a tad short. She was nearly a head-and-a-half taller than the olive green woman. Lliara stopped a few feet short so it wouldn't be necessary to crane her head all the way back just to see Star's face.

"Have you ever killed someone without being in the same room as them? Without leaving a single scrap of evidence they'd even been killed?" Lliara paused to give the words a moment to sink in. "I specialize in people. Extracting what I need from them by whatever means necessary long before they realize what's happened. If you're concerned I'd be a liability in a fight, I can demonstrate one skill suited to the task." If Star requested it, of course. Lliara didn't want to show off, even if that was what they claimed to want them all to do. It would not be remiss to show these people -- what might be her comrades -- this skill, however; she'd done so in the company of lesser people, after all.

Infamous Shenanigans

...And so the Hellmakers each showcased their unique and deadly skill sets for the Doona and her Caporegime. The combination of such a deadly mixture of criminal professions would surely be a valuable asset for the Family, and they would likely prove themselves as invaluable within the coming months. The sword of the Family had been birthed, and the blood of their enemies quickly wetted its blade in the missions and endeavours that followed. Everywhere the Hellmakers went, they left a significant mark that was truly unforgettable, and their reputation within the underworld quickly began to solidify and mature.

Whether the galaxy was ready for it or not, the Hellmakers were here, and they were surely up to no good.
