Wedding Woe: CIS Dominion of Woostri Hex

WIi4ji8.png

Ever since its conception, the Confederacy of Independent Systems has sought to expand the territory which it encircled, offering protection and economic growth to the planet within its cloud space. Some planets, had to be brought in because of necessity, as it was the only way to keep them out of the filthy hands of various empires who sought to occupy and dominate them. Other planets, seeing the financial success and relative safety of those planets, did not wait for the Confederacy to reach them, but rather went to the Confederacy themselves, asking for it to widen its influence to include them.

One such planet was Woostri, known for its lovely white beaches and deep blue oceans, and home to the HoloScan Database. As a representative legislature, all of Woostri's formal political business was performed by President Wanash, who had held office and kept the planet stable for the past several decades. The planet's unofficial business, however, was conducted by none other than the leader of the Information Gangs, the infamous Madame Nefasta, who ensured that any crime on the planet or that involved the gangs of the planet, were carefully controlled and contained. On paper, the two heads of the planet had no reason to get along so wonderfully well. In reality, not only did they work together in perfect harmony, but their children had taken a liking to each other as well, and had decided to tie the knot.

Their wedding was one to which representatives of the confederacy had been invited to, along with hundreds of leaders from both outside the planet and within, and was spoken of as the grand event not only of the season, but of the entire year on Woostri. President Wanash's daughter was one of the most beautiful brides the planet had ever seen, with a bridal dress whose labor's expenses that could have fed several villages for decades to come. Madame Nefasta's son was dressed no less extravagantly, though his modest tuxedo only had the ability to sponsor food for a single village and for a single decade. Despite this, the couple were well loved around the planet, and flowers as well as colorful candles were lit all over to celebrate the joyous day with them all.

The wedding left on a gigantic planet-side cruise ship, moving fast enough to make it seem as though it would be semi frozen in an eternal sunset for the entirety of the 22 hours it would take to circle the planet. Lavish suits had been made ready for all the guests, and no expense was spared to feed and entertain them all.

Several hours after the ship left the docks, the wedding at last began. Guests were ushered to their seats, and Here Comes the Bride was played by a live band of Bith. The bride looked spectacular, and anyone who looked both at her and her waiting groom could easily note that it was love that reigned between them, and matters such as politics and money took the backseat. No other option to explain the looks the two gave to each other as the bride took step after step down the aisle could be given.
But what are dreams for, if not to be destroyed? The bride never completed her walk down the aisle, for she had only taken a few steps in before they appear; clad in darkness itself and seemingly stepping out of puffs of smoke, dozens of Crucible members appeared, and before any of those gathered could respond, the bride was taken. "The Crucible sends its regards," said the one who had physicalled wrapped around her, and with another puff of smoke, they had all disappeared, as though they had never even been there at all.
Screams could be heard from all around the ship. The screams of the groom, whose heart had just been shattered into a million pieces.

Screams of the parents, who not only were worried sick with fear for what might come of their daughter or daughter to be, but the meaning and complication of it all - for as a wedding gift, the groom had taken some of his bride's DNA and used it to give her access to the world's leading databanks. With the crucible now holding her, it was only a matter of time before they used her in order to access information that few to no others in the galaxy held. Information, the Confederacy knew, that they themselves did not have access to, and were supposed to not have at all save a kernel of it to be given once the treaties between them and the Wostri were signed, after the wedding.

OBJECTIVES:

2W1oySC.png

While several groups are gathering to try to locate the bride, it is the Confederacy that has the most intimate of knowledge regarding the workings of the Crucible. The ship is large and there are no islands nearby, which means the Crucible must still be somewhere on the ship. Find them, and save the Bride.
And remember, the clock is ticking, for if it takes too long, not only will she be but a corpse, but the Crucible shall also have access to information which will give them an edge over the Confederacy.

V3WrRJK.png

You could try to find the way to block the Crucible's access to the database even on the vent that they get the correct piece of DNA from the Bride. This is the place for tech savvy and slicing people to get together and find a way to secure that information - even, perhaps, at the cost of destroying it.

uWe9rNy.png

Just because the Bride is kidnapped, might die, the political future of the planet and the Confederate's potential to remain stable are all hurt, it's still a party, isn't it?! Grab your drink and go enjoy all the cruise has to offer, be it hot aerobics classes, grandiose buffets, free booze, and dancing. Maybe you'd prefer to sneak back to your suite for other forms of dancing? Jumping overboard and going for a swim with the fishies is also optional. It's the BYOO, so have fun with it!

There was something special about a wedding, it was meant to be the happiest day of a bride and groom's lives, a celebration of their future and the lives they would build together. Or at least that's how John had always seen it. I just seemed that apparently not everyone shared that same idea if hte Crucible's sudden appearence at the celebration was anything to go by.

He'd actually been enjoying himself at the party, settled in the back watching the festivities and just relaxing out of hte limelight. As a minister of the CIS his duties weren't too onerous, but being present at social occasion like this were one of the few times that he was forced to appear in public to wave the flag as it were. Luckily a greeting, pressing the flesh, or hte metal in his case, and he could go to find his seat and just enjoy the show that was being put on, at it had been a show. From the clothes the wedding party wore, to the oppulance of their surroundings, everything was designed to impress.

For a moment he'd even thought the smoke had been some part of the magic trick, but alas no. Which is how he foundhimsef huddled upto a console on the bridge, staring at the screen infront of him as he muttered to himself. "Can't just block all communications, that'd inconvenience too many people, but we need a filter then, control what information gets in and out." Illegal...maybe but if no-one cottoned onto it, it might just help give them a leg-up on the crucible, and that's something that they'd always need.

The investigation had just begun into the disappearance of the Bride from the ship, and the Confederacy wanted to not only pursue the investigation, but also make sure that the planets big wigs knew they were taking things seriously. Under normal operations, Kade would be assigned to an investigative team and be part of the muscle for the team and for the eventual rescue/recovery operation. As he wasn't extremely useful in an investigation except as muscle, having no training in the legwork such investigations required, and the distinct shadowy nature of the culprits, it was decided that Kade would be better used on the ship as a show of force, and to be brought in when they needed doors or walls knocked in for the rescue operation.

Rescue, there wasn't even talk of it becoming a recovery op, because that would mean a failure that could affect the political outcome as well.

Kade paced the uppermost deck of the ship slowly, his eyes moving back and forth. He was here for show, mostly, but that didn't mean he was going to be lax in his situational awareness. He wore his customary battle armor, a knights blade peeking over his shoulder, lightsaber on his belt, and a sidearm holster with a blaster pistol in it. He moved solidly, and anyone near by would be able to feel and hear him as he passed. His face was hidden by the helmet he wore, its heads up display was giving him information about what he was looking at. He had his sensors at maximum gain, his Force senses extended out as far as they could go, and his eyes peeled as well. He was distinctly not trying to hide his presence, anyone with tech would notice his sensors, force users would feel his awareness, and anyone close could see, hear, and feel him as he walked.

He was aware that he was essentially baiting a trap for some of his stealthier allies, and that made the tedious walking round and round the boat, up and down the decks not quite as boring as it otherwise would be.

A knife had slid into Scherezade's hand. As the rest of the guests that had not only come for the wedding but had also been granted clearance to actually attend it rather than entertain themselves on the ship while it was happening, she had sat there and seen it all.

Their reason for being here was beyond her; surely for the political aspect of the entire thing, the Vicelord and a handfulof viceroys would have been enough? But no, it seemed like the wedding throwers wanted bigger, better, and thus, many Confederates had come along, Scherezade included. And while she had sat in the back, she'd still sat quiet close to the aisle itself, giving her ample view of the bride coming in.

The look on the bride's face had confused the heck out of the Sithling. She had understood that it was to be a political knot that would be tied that day, but the bride's face had shown love. She'd seemed, to Scherezade, the way Scherezade had once looked at someone. Her eyes had then moved to the groom, surprise taking over as she realized he'd been looking the same at the bride.

That alone had been enough to glue her to her chair. The bride's excitement was tangible to Scherezade, and she found herself wishing the two all the joy the galaxy had to offer.

And then she was gone. Before she could react. Before any of them could react.

It would not do.

Knife in her hand, Scherezade rose from her chair, glowing green eyes scanning the crowd to find those who would fight to bring her back.

He was wrapped in thick strips of cloth and fabric. The rags hung down from his arms and shoulders, making him look as if he was being prepared for mummification.

How long had he been back in this world? He couldn't say. He did not even know how long he had been dead. The thought of his own death made the man's head spin and his knees go weak. He clenched his jaw tightly but he didn't say anything. His mind was focused on the flight controls that laid before him. The fighter he had was stolen, what world had it been stolen from? He didn't know. After The Golden Army murdered To'Kola they presented his body to their apparent masters, or at the very least their allies, The Crucible. The organization had hoped to take To'Kola alive and use him against The Confederacy but their plan had failed the minute that the Golden Warmaster ran his chest through with his golden blade.

To'Kola's hand rose to his chest, rubbing the scar that sat in the center of his sternum. It was not a normal scar. It was fleshy and pale but it was not the light color of his skin, no it was a faint shade of gold and it had a metallic shine to it. It was almost as if the golden sword had melted against his chest when it ran him through. So The Crucible had discarded his body, throwing his corpse away like a piece of trash. The thought of this angered him, but his mind was not on his rage, it was elsewhere.

His mind was on a single question that had plagued him ever since he was pulled from the Great Ocean of The Force.

How was he alive?

How did he yet breathe and draw breathe?

His cheeks were sunken and his body was unkempt, but he was alive and well. Even most of his wounds had healed from his battle months ago. Of course, his Sandali body was capable of healing itself for days and sometimes weeks after his death, but he had never heard of a Sandali warrior return from death months after they had joined.

To'Kola did not know what to do. When he came to life he was in a world covered in filth and darkness. But on that world, The Crucible had left their mark. To'Kola stood up from the controls, turning to see the dead human who laid in the back of the starfighter. He had been one of the mercenaries the Organization had employed and he had been useful. He had even revealed The Crucible's next strike against The Confederacy.

His body was weak and his mind was still suffering from the shock of death, but that didn't matter.

He had no weapons, but that didn't matter.

All that mattered, was that he was back.

Ciri had found herself enthralled in the ceremony as she hadn't seen many like it. Two Hutts going through their traditions or members of any of the big gangs usually seemed to have different ways of going about things. Everything seemed so soothing and pleasant and yet if you blinked you may have even missed what happened. Figures appearing from smoke and snatching up the bride. If she had to be honest, they had impressed her and she secretly wished to learn how they did it. But, there was no time for thinking on such things!
Having already jumped out of her chair the moment the bride was taken, Ciri excused herself and made her way to the bridge as she scanned local comm channels for chatter, disregarding most noise or voices as she was looking for something else. Any who would commit an act, if they used open comms would likely use codes of some kind, though anyone worth their weight in credits would be connected to a heavily encrypted channel.
Reconnecting to her own encrypted channels, the Raven entered the bridge, immediately surveying the area to find she wasn't alone as another Confederate had beat her there, though whether he would recognize her as an ally remained to be seen, given her line of work within the CIS.
"It seems I was not the only one to think of coming here."

Madalena had not wanted to be there at all. A wedding, and not just any wedding, but one that was the result of romance between two people who by any right should never have fallen in love at all. The dreamy eyed look on the groom, present long before the bride showed up, had told her more than enough. Her heart ached too much, and while she utterly refused to cry in public, she could not deny that there was a certain amount of wetness in her eyes.

They had not planned to get married. Not like this, in a big lavish thing that would show strangers how much money they were willing to throw into an event during which they would promise themselves to each other for eternity. Certainly, they had the money, and if they ever thought they lacked any, both had family members to ask donations from. But the business between her and ToKola had been their own, would always be their own. They had done certain things to magnify their bond on Sandala, and she dreamed that some day they would both go to Endelaan and do it the way of her people as well.

Beyond that? It did not matter. Not to her. She didn't need a big white dress, especially when she looked so much better in slink. And ToKola in a tux… At least that brought on a small smile to her sad lips.

And then the music had started, and everybody turned around to look at the Bride walk down the aisle. Madalena had kept her gaze straight forward, not wanting to see that look of love mirrored in her eyes. Her right hand moved to cover her heart and she closed her eyes. It had not been very long since ToKola's death, and while she knew she would have to let go, to empty the giant chamber he had held within her heart, it was still too soon. Much, much too soon.

And of course, then the Crucible showed up. Madalena's eyes snapped open, but not for the commotion that had begun because of their appearance and disappearance; but because now, she could feel him.

Rising to her feet, Madalena looked madly around her, trying to understand where the sensation was coming from. She had actually slept the previous night, and she had not had a sip of liquor, and something, something inside of her knew that this was no hallucination, that her heart or her pain were making none of it up.

Wordlessly, Madalena found her general direction. And within moments, while the people still screamed for the Bride and other Confederates gathered for action, Madalena abdicated her responsibilities as Lord Marshal, and opened a personal hunt for her other half.

She shouldn't have been relaxed, regardless of situation, a wedding was a time of joy and peace, her own was as such, even if said wedding had been somewhat unorthodox, for this one time her guard lowered in order to enjoy such an event. Alas fate one again had a habit of being a pain, she should have expected something to go wrong, where ever the CIS went trouble seemed to crop up, regardless of time place and location. At the very least the CIS and her knights would have a better chance of solving this matter, but time like always was winding away quickly.

With saber and pistol drawn, sense on guard Kurenai approached who she assumed to be Dewinters, keeping an eye out for any follow up attack or altercation. "I suppose it is time for us to get to work, you have an idea of were to start looking first? Or would you rather we have a look around and try and sense were these kidnappers went"? She knew first hand the women's smell was on just as strong if not a somewhat stronger then hers, if these Crucible members left anything behind, even a hair, the two would be able to hunt them down.

There was one thing that made Voph happy about this situation. One. For once, he wasn't the only Warden in the field. That was it. Beyond this, Voph was extremely displeased with his lot in life. On the plus side, the augmentation process had gone as well as it could have. Voph was slowly adjusting to his new physique, and certain among his company assured him that his figure was more striking with a return to darker hair. But he'd trade it all just to get his sight back. He was still recovering from the process, and his sight had not yet returned to how it typically functioned. Not to mention his armor had to be resized. All of it. So here he sat, bride missing, with Crucible hiding in the shadows, and naught but armorweave and Krayt Hide to protect him.

He had sat quietly in the crowd during the ceremony, but the moment things began to go awry, he was on his feet, the blue-purple blade of Ciniel flairing to life as he stood. It was rare for him to be caught flat footed like this. And internally, he cursed. The bride had suddenly become a key to perhaps the greatest information heist in history. He needed options. He knew [member="John Locke"] was here, as well as that new Warden, [member="Kade Sunward"]. The deWinter girl was close at hand, as well as Kurenai. But for now, Locke was his man. The Crucible was still on the ship. They had to be. There was no where else for them to go. But they couldn't take that chance. Lockdown was the name of the game. His comlink was in his hand as his lightsaber returned to his belt and Voph hurried from the hall.

"All Confederate Operatives, Crucible is aboard the ship and the bride is MIA. Fan out, begin searching. If located, signal and wait for backup. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ENGAGE ALONE." Voph paused, trying to think. If he were a terrorist kidnapping the new heir of an information empire, where would he go? "We need to start locking down the ship. If they escape, it's mission failed. Locke, are there any internal sensors we can use to start searching?"

"When in doubt go to the brains of the operation, on the control centre in this case right?”

The cyborg’s head came up at the sound of footsteps, at the sound of a new voice echoing around the bridge. A certain level of panicked activity had settled on the crew, the tension clear in their voice, in their demeanour. This was the wedding of the century after all and it had all gone wrong on their watch. If John had been in their shoes he knew he’d have been worried for his job, for his skin, as it stood all he had to do was help find whoever it was that had actually gone so far as to find the bride and help get her back. Easy right?

Dark eyes settled on Ciri for a moment, a small nod as the engineer smiled, “We’re out here in the middle of no-where so the ship has the most powerful communications equipment around. A little creative reworking and I’m sure that we can use it against the Crucible and they won’t even see it coming.” Which would be a nice win for the Confederacy against these opponents who had come from no-where to set themselves against his friends and colleagues. “Although…you know I’m pretty sure we’re not exactly going to be that popular if people find out we can listen in on their calls, or track them this easily.”

Kade continued his walk through the top deck until it brought him to the cargo access down to the next level.

"Warden Sunward to control, I've completed my circuit of the top deck and am moving onto the first deck down." He reported in via the comm in his helmet.

"Confirmed, Warden. We've got you on sensors, let us know if you see anything out of the ordinary." He heard the androgynous voice in his ear, and nodded absently as he moved down the ramp into the ship. He kept his eyes and sensors roving, his senses within the Force queued to detect as much as he could.

He let his steps reverberate off of the hull around him as he started a new circuit of the ship on this deck, hoping the investigation would give him something to do other than be a show of force.

As the Bride began her walk down the aisle every eye in the room seem fixed on the young lady, this was nothing uncommon for this type of ceremony. But for Eli there seem to be a tension to the room, something she couldn’t quite place, it was as if she was the only one who felt it. Everyone else seemed so at ease but for Eli the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Though her eyes stayed on the bride her left hand was placed on her thigh, for just under her skirt she had a blaster in a thigh holster along with her twin sabers one on each hip, luckily it was a loose skirt.

Eli was quick to react when the puff of smoke went up, she moved almost in sync with the puff going up. She was on her feet her sabers in her hands before the smoke had even cleared, had it not been for the lack of mobility the dress allowed and the people blocking her way she may have been able to get to the bride before the people disappeared with the bride in tow. Eli quickly made her way down the aisle, she stowed her sabers back under her skirt discreetly.

Eli knew that the bride being kidnapped would have far reaching implications should she not be returned promptly and those who perpetrated her kidnapping brought to justice, she figured they could cover more ground should they split up so she decided to head to the lower decks of the yacht where there would be more places for people to hide

For MxKenna being invited to this wedding was a shock, for not too long ago she was only a fighter pilot cadet trying to make her way in the galaxy. From then she had made a lot of progress both in her military career and her social standings, as for her military training she had been chosen to go on into officer training and there was talks of her leading her own squadron within a few months if all went well. In social standings she had made a few very powerful friends who had given her the credibility that came with their names. When it came to formal occasions McKenna often felt out of place but this time felt different, the short ginger wore a complex dress, the base dress was about mid-thigh length and black and then on top of that was sheer, it covered her shoulders and arms it was adorned with white flowers and the skirt seemed to tie around her waist though it was all one piece.

As the bride was kidnapped the girl couldn’t think of any way she could help so she decided the best she could do was to keep the party going with her fellow party goers in attempt to keep everyone calm while others worked on the solution to their problem

When the bride was taken and disappeared, Red instantly snapped up, weapons ready. Red scowled. The only reason he was there was to make sure things didn't go wrong, as they normally did, and he failed at that. He wasn't invited for any other reason than to help guard the stupid wedding, and he couldn't even do that job right. Then again, there were plenty of more experienced people in the audience, and they failed to stop it. That made Red feel a little better.

"People, people! Please, calm down. The Confederacy will fix this, they will right this and bring back the bride. There is nothing to worry about." Red said in an attempt to calm the crowd.

To be honest, he didn't believe his own words. He was quite worried himself. He knew that this marriage was important, and that things had been messed up badly. He just hoped that they could fix this.

Red pressed a button on the side of his helmet and raised his comms. "This is Agent Red, of the CIS, reporting for duty. Anyone need assistance? I'm here to help. Just point me in your direction or where you need me and I'll be there."

Red saw deWinter further down the aisle. He also knew that John Locke was also somewhere on the ship. As far as Red knew, anyone on the ship would need all the help they could get.

When Kirk was told he was gonna go to a wedding, he didn't expect the bride to just vanish in a puff of smoke. But despite the commotion, he had more urgent matters to attend to. And now that it was the possible that the Crucible might have the bride made his job more complicated. Kirk exited the wedding hall and made his way to the bridge, he was thinking of ways to block access to the ships systems. A way to block the bride's DNA from accessing the system? That could take a couple hours given the right resources. But time isn't a luxury right now. We could extract the data even though that just makes us a target. His train of though was cut off once he arrived at the bridge, nodding at the two who were already present. This was probably gonna be more complicated than I thought. He went over to a terminal to get an idea of the systems diagnostics, Kirk took note of the systems as his eyes widened in shock. "With this kind of tech we can blackmail half the galaxy." He said aloud to himself, he was hyperbolizing but this ship had some damn good comms tech that could be used for data mining, surveillance, analytics, and anything else they needed to get edge on the Crucible.

Kaden had opted to work security. Weddings like this were not really his thing, and while there were the frilly things women were supposed to like, Kaden was also not about to drag [member="Daisy Americus"] to something that was distinctly not Mandalorian. Word had reached his ears about the collapse of the United Clans of Mandalore, and while Kaden was sad for the innocents who had truly not contributed to the problems, he did not feel sorry for the leadership. The collapse had led to one thing in Kaden's mind however, it was more important than ever to embrace and embody what it meant to be Mandalorian. That was why he suggested to the blonde Mandalorian they volunteer for security detail. It was supposed to be an uneventful trip, with time later to spend on the cruise ship or nearby beaches. Kaden had simply created another excuse to spend time with Daisy off in an off world capacity that allowed for some alone time later. He had no ulterior motive, and anyone who believed that was even more gullible than he could be at times.

There was a lot of chatter over the comms about a missing bride and her being the key to the database which was currently under guard on the ship. The Cabal had sent their regards, and the Mandalorian knew enough about what was taking place to know his security detail was about to turn into a firefight. A team of people were heading to the bridge, and since they were closer to Kaden's position he decided to join them. A message was sent to Daisy's HUD in case she decided to join him in the mission, or if she was not otherwise occupied in a fight of her own. He knew he should have insisted they be placed on the same detail, even though he was sure the man coordinating them knew that was the intent. Afterall, they had volunteered and arrived together.

A sigh left his lips as he ran in to hear the conversations taking place.

"If they don't realize the Confederacy is always listening on excursions like this, then they aren't going to find out," Kaden added to what Locke suggested. "So what exactly is the plan, or what can I do to buy you the time you need, cuz if getting into the terminals are left to me, then I'm just blowing them up so no one can access the data."

Kaden shrugged. It was his way about things. The bigger the bang, and the louder it was, the better.

"Then we don't let them know."
Fingers plucked her data spike from where she kept it as she slotted it into a port belonging to one of the consoles. On any other day, she would pay credits for access to the systems this ship had for other reasons. However, this was no time for anything other than dealing with the situation at hand. As more joined them on the bridge, her eyes turned to the console in front of her. Taking a look at exactly what she could work with made Ciri feel like a kid in a candy store. One of the galaxy's most powerful systems at her fingertips, yet the allure of what she could truly do was pushed aside. There was a lot she could get away with using this equipment but the Raven was far from dumb enough to compromise her position. A good slicer doesn't make it far by making dumb decisions like that.
"If they aren't aware that they are being monitored then it'll be easier to track suspicious things. However, if someone was daring enough to make a move such as kidnapping the bride on a vessel in which Confederates are present, monitoring or even blocking communications is the least of our concerns."
Working in tandem with her data spike, she aimed to get access to all of the ship's systems and keep them under control, even if it meant monitoring the access ship-wide. Peering up from the terminal, she glanced to the others, speaking her mind. "Blowing them up is out of the question... for now. Though if we cannot prevent them from acquiring access then.. let's call it our final option."

"Who would ever want to blow up such a peak efficient model of information technology?" Kirk said as he was examining the software. Though he just realized he came off a bit creepy and obsessed, so he cleared his throat before he spoke to kill the awkwardness. "But yeah if the Crucible does try to get into the system we'll have to blow up these terminals." He frowned at the realization. But knowing he had a job to do he returned to the task at hand. Once he was in the system he realized the files were locked behind a passcode that was generated by an encryption algorithm that isn't used by any standard galactic software. There wasn't any way of knowing what the algorithm was unless you took time to learn about HoloScan encryption but really no one had time for that. The most that Kirk could do was use the decryption tactics he knew so he could find a pattern that compared a standard algorithm to the one the developers used. Yeah this was definitely gonna take a couple hours to figure out. He took a deep breath as he was chewing away at the system trying to get into the files. At least all the files were under one passcode cause if not the Crucible would've found a way in as well and maybe even get the files quicker than Kirk could. But why were the files locked under the same passcode? That seemed a bit naive. Unless that was the developer's intent.
Kirk voiced his suspicions to everyone present, "You know these files have some pretty rare and valuable info, I doubt the guys who set up this software would let us take their stuff without a firewall or two." Kirk said to the group as he stared at his screen. Cause he was pretty anxious, getting past encryption was one thing but bypassing a firewall is another stressful situation in it of itself.

Blow it up?!

John's head came up in surprise at the suggestion, his dark eyes falling on the man who'd spoken in surprise, alarm painted across his featues at the suggestion. "Let's not be too hasty, if we blow up the consoles, or even the communications equipment themselves then all we do is rob ourselves of a tool we can use. Everyone has holonet access at their fingertips." The man reached out, one metallic finger tapping on Kaden's helmet, "Even if we blew it up, nothing's going to stop them from accessing he holonet and starting to work through the authentications needed."

The cyborg's head nodded at Kirk, "As you said, there will be firewalls, but systems like this are designed to make it easy for their users to access the informations, that's why they wanted her in the first place so we don't have much time. As you say, if we need we can have a ship in orbit target the database building itself but there might be another option." A slow smile spread across the man's faceas he gestured at the console they were gathered around. "We can use the comms equipment to monitor all outgoing nodes on the ships and lock them down...but we can also turn it into an effective ECM device. If we put out enough static we can block, or at leas limit any outgoing communications."

Metallic digits ran along the console as John's gaze flicked between the assembled team, "If they can't connect to the database, if they can't get hte information they want then they've got more reason to keep her alive, and the more they try the easier it will be for us to lock them down. Once we get them, it'll be easy to wrap them up." It was funny, all John wanted was to make sure the bride that he'd never met before and likely never would again back with the fiancee who so obviously loved her. They deserved that chance at happiness and if this was how he could help provide it, well then that's what he'd do come hail or high water.

What John said actually make sense, if the Crucible kidnapped President Wabash's daughter then they would need her to access the database and if they blew it up then they'll justify them keeping her until she coughed up what she needed. Then again even if they got what they needed they already made enemies with Woostri by antagonizing them, basically putting them in the Confederacy's favor and then they would both have access to HoloScan tech making the two sides equal once again. All John, Kirk, and Ciri had to do was salt the Crucibles wounds by keeping them off the system and accessing the database. But Kirk honestly gone through half of his standard decryption methods and nothing got him in. "The Force better save me cause I'm about to shoot this hunk of junk to space."

He probably wasn't gonna go anywhere with this whole decryption thing for a while. To relieve his mind from the stress of his task, he decided to talk about what to do once they got into the ships comms. "An ECM could keep Crucible agents transmitting from the ship, that only makes us a target though. They'll know this is the main comms hub so anyone who's crucible will come looking for us." There wasn't any sense of objection his voice, but he wanted all their options to be considered. "Monitoring the ships comms would be more subtle in my opinion. It'll take longer for them to realize we're here."
