GENERAL INFO

Organization Name: The Warlock Caste

Classification: Subgroup of Military Order

Affiliation:
The Bryn'adul

Organization Symbol: N/A

Description: The Warlock Caste (or just Warlocks) is a subgroup of the Bryn'adul's Shaman's created by Shaman Beast-Master Hrajlmak'Natok in the wake of the Bryn'adul's rapid territorial expansion. Devised primarily to deliver real-time coordination to the battlefield, The Warlock caste combines the force-proficiency of the Shaman's with the strength and warrior-nature inherent in all Draelvasier. The Warlock Caste is a shift away from the traditional Shaman. While conventional Shamans coordinate the Bryn'adul's invasion forces isolated from the field (like any General), protected by Zealots, the Warlocks pride themselves on fighting alongside their brethren on the frontline while simultaneously controlling large battle groups consisting of anything between individual units to combined forces of infantry, artillery and in more isolated cases, city-destroying Servitors.

Hierarchy:

  • First Warlock
  • Warlock Field Master
  • Warlock
First Warlock
The leader of the Warlock Caste. The term "First Warlock" was originally the title given to Hrajlmak'Natok based on him being the first and founding figure of the caste. It now serves as the leader's title, given to any who assume control of the caste.
The First Warlock is responsible for everything within the Caste such as curating its education system, hearing and acting on the voices of subordinates, reporting what needs to be reported to the Shaman Primarch etc. The position of First Warlock is subject, like any leadership role, to the Morad'kai. Any subordinate who sees the First Warlock as lacking and incompetent can challenge them to a duel. The winner takes the mantle of leader.

Warlock Field Master
The Warlock Field Master has authority over other warlocks present on the battlefield. While every individual warlock has autonomy on the field, whether they are controlling any minds or not, their actions are guided by the acting Field Master

Warlock
Warlocks, like any Shaman Beast Master, have autonomy on the field to control the minds under them as they see fit. Their presence on the field serves to coordinate large swathes of troops and war-beasts and, more passively, enhance the cognitive abilities of those around them as a product of their position in the Force. Any Warlock, regardless of position, can challenge any above them, whether that's a Field Master or the First, for their position as leader.

Membership: During the 260-day educational period common to all Draelvasier, Aeravalin that demonstrate disproportionately violent tendencies and greater combat proficiency than their peers coupled with an unflinching control of their war-beasts during combat-intense periods are considered as Warlocks. Their education shifts toward Warlock training until finally they undertake the two-week set of trials known as the Bedla'korum. Aeravalin that succeed in coordinating large groups while simultaneously fighting person-to-person themselves are admitted to the Warlock caste.

Climate: The Warlocks are a populace of violent intellectuals with what could be considered genetically-inherent ego. Internal politics is akin to an arcane-scientific community where most think themselves superior and aren't afraid of launching into a jargon-filled monologue regarding precisely why. There is a thin line dictating when this method fails and a fight would suffice.
On the other hand, being entirely made up of the Bryn'adul's best minds, the Caste is a boiling pot of innovation and intense thought. Even if disagreement results in the loss of a jaw.

Reputation: The Aeravalin as a whole are commonly regarded as pompous high-brows by the rest of the Draelvasier. The Warlocks provide a closer, more tangible service to the battlefield than conventional Shamans and thus garner themselves a greater respect and sense of comradery from the other species.

Curios: Warlocks are often adorned, like many Draelvasier, in trophies of past kills. Defining components such as skulls and hands can be seen hanging from, woven or machined into robes and battle-cloaks. However, the most highly coveted adorning trophies are the lightsabers of force-wielders.

Rules:

  • Without good reason, do not disobey your superior
  • No wielding/construction of heretical technology

Goals: The Warlocks combine war-beast and troop coordination with on-field boosting of cognitive and physiological performance.

HISTORICAL INFO
Hrajlmak'Natok demonstrated a proof of concept at the battle of Eshan where a fledgling Bryn'adul contended with the combined forces of the CIS and Mandalorians (although warring themselves at the time). There, the young Shaman, fresh out the vat, fought amongst the Draelvasier horde while simultaneously controlling a city-destroying Servitor. A daunting task that proved overwhelming in the end. A collapsing tower killed the Servitor and spelled Exile for Hrajlmak. But the experiment spawned a bug in Hrajlmak's mind that would continue to eat at him for almost a decade.

The idea brewed and Hrajlmak became increasingly determined to reconcile his violence with his genes. Impatience grew. The upstart Shaman bypassed the necessary channels in an arrogant effort to gather support for his ideology regardless of the opinion of authority. A controversial move that almost cost him his head. Rumours spread, controversy grew. In the early 850's, Hrajlmak was confronted and swiftly reprimanded for his under-the-table arousal of the Bryn'adul's internal politics.

When the conquest moved on Malagarr, Hrajlmak made his proposal to the Bryn'adul's high court, the Ish'makra. His motive was streamlining. To smooth the edges of the War-Machine. Keep it running well in the wake of rapid expansion. He touted greater flexibility, a boost to the collective cognitive acuity of the front-line. Appraisal from notable figures among the Bryn'adul such as Galak Galak , General of the famed 10th Regiment and Hraelga Nacht Hraelga Nacht , both Emissaries to the Chieftain, earned him the approval he was looking for. Thus, the Warlock Caste was introduced to the Shaman Order.

I'll be doing this review for you. This is very good, I just have 3 points before this will be ready to be stamped.

1. Affiliation.
Affiliation: The Bryn'adul

Please link The Bryn'adul here.

2. Headquarters.
Headquarters: Draemidus Prime

Please link Draemidus Prime here.

3. Domain.
Domain: Bryn'adul Territory

Because the Bryn'adul is a Major Faction, it's territory is defined by its influence cloud. As such, please list out the specific territories that you're referring to. This could be done by listing out the planets in the influence cloud, or just identifying the major planets for a hex containing multiple planets. You can update this submission later as that influence cloud changes.

Those are my thoughts. Please tag me when you have completed any edits.
