OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a interesting homeworld for the Draelvasier and other ghoulish creatures.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Planet Name: Draemidus Prime
  • Demonym: Draelvasier
  • Region: Wild Space
  • System Name: Draemidus System
  • System Features:
- Shatter Field: Surrounding the mammoth 460,533km planet [originally 612,560km], is a massive asteroid field comprised of the remnants of the moons and planet. The asteroid field houses a small grouping of ships and orbital defence platforms.

-The Blight: The surrounding area of Draemidus Prime has a massive Ion Storm known as the Blight of Draemidus Prime lingering outside of its asteroid field, shrouding the planet and its surrounding elements in a sinister crimson hue, radiating the planet surface.

-Moons: Draemidus Prime, based on recent research once had a total of thirty-six moons. However the cataclysm caused the destruction of more than half of these moons, leaving the planet with a total of twelve moons. All of which have been outfitted with military listening outposts and naval bases.
  • Location:
    8KEpbKz.jpg
  • Major Imports: N/A - Draemidus Prime has no contact with the outside world.
  • Major Exports: Malabast, Draemidus Crystals, Durasteel, Various Ores and Metal, Gases and Toxins. [Circulated/Exported to other Bryn'adûl instillations]
  • Unexploited Resources: N/A
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Quadruple Standard
  • Climate: Volatile - reoccurring geomagnetic storms that typically cause ionospheric disturbances that cause radio and radar scintillation, disruption of navigation by magnetic compass and auroral displays at much lower latitudes than normal. This makes the planet almost unreadable from a distance by even the most advanced equipment.
This shrouds the planet in a cloak of darkness bar the illuminating auroral areas where the light of ion storm shines through, causing a display of vibrant red plasma auroral lights to dot the planet surface, coating its blackness in brilliant red.

This also can cause issues with maintaining power when passing through the atmosphere of the planet, possibly causing ships to crash.
  • Primary Terrain: Extreme Ravines and Mountainous areas dot the landscape, forged of a molten-rock style aesthetic caused by the cataclysm.
  • Atmosphere: Type I - Type III [Only in Radiated Zones]
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Xaeldrask
  • Planetary Features: The entirety of the Bryn'adûl infrastructure exists within the confines of the underground of Draemidus Prime. Their city is built a hundred miles underground, deep beneath thousands of tunnels that stretch for miles. However there are five bases on the planet surface. Four smaller ones, then a fifth primary base of operations on the surface.
  • Major Locations:
Xaeldrask:
christian-hecker-squarefun.jpg

Xaeldrask is a massive sprawling super structure, a military city built deep within the depths of the planet surface to house the Bryn'adûl. Xaeldrask is built out of a multitude of sprawling buildings, built into the rock deep within the planet surface. Spiralling towers and pillars erected from the ground for miles upward - holding swathes of Ungulloi and various other military groups within the Bryn'adûl.

Its architecture is grand, yet simplistic. With massive simplistic buildings housing the various institutions within the Bryn'adûl, save for the Kresh'mak [Temple of the Seers] and the Chieftain's Citadel.

Xaeldrask as a structure stretches along the length of the Bryn'adûl's main excavated area, stretching for miles through tunnels and underground. The cave area is the largest section of Xaeldrask, but not the city in its entirety.

Usurpers:
joel-boucquemont-ds3-landscape-07-b.jpg
The Usurpers are conduits that exist all over the southern hemisphere of the planet, closest to the ionic storm. These are long distance energy 'usurpers' these conduits pull the lightning strikes of the larger ionic storm through the atmosphere, using the chaotic storm to absorb power to help with the functions on the planet below.

Draemidus Prime Kredarak Outpost:
Kredarak is the main surface military instillation on the planet, housing the space elevator that allows safe passage from the planet surface to space. The sky hook elevator connects to a small defensive space station that sits just beyond the reach of the planets storms. Kredarak has a total of four connection elevators that lead directly to Bryn'adûl garrisons.

Tathra's Private Quarters:
toussaint-louverture-h-g-highresscreenshot00000.jpg
Deep within the Citadel, placed at the heart of the Xaeldrask is the Chieftain's Quarters, a cold metal tomb with red plasma lighting the hallways, seemingly a maze to the ignorant.

Draeyde Caves:
jonathon-banks-hive-jonathonbanks-01.jpg
Towards the surface of the planet are a series of monitored tunnels now inhabited by the Draeyde solely, the planets consistently dark skies being ideal for their habitat requirements, thusly the Draeyde typically have free reign to lurk across the planet.

POPULATION
The majority of the population consists of the smaller species such as the Draeyde, Ungulloi and Crell who exist in hordes. The uncommon species are the Drurgul, Draelvasier. Whilst the rest of the species are much rarer.
  • Primary Languages: Draelvasier
  • Culture:
The Culture of Draemidus Prime is one that came with its settlers. The Draelvasier are at the top of the food chain, existing as masters of war and glory seekers, war mongering beasts. The Bryn'adûl exists solely to conquer whatever lays ahead. Draemidus Prime and its hostile existence was once such feat that required years to properly make a suitable home of.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
The wealth of Draemidus Prime is the sum of the success of the Bryn'adûl, winning countless battles and successful raiding and compiling mountains of wealth, the planet is wealthy in its own unorthodox manner. Their home planet is heavily fortified, and all the races live in acceptable accommodations.

  • Stability: High:
This planet, is inherently hostile, its landscape is uninviting and its geomagnetic storms causing ships to malfunction when attempting to land. The surface is prowled by unfathomable terrors, massive servitors and brutish beasts.

However, the Bryn'adûl maintain a disciplined and stable society on the planet, with complete control of the beasts under their employment. The Draelvasier in particular are masters of beast control, keeping the planet stable and ready militarily.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Every member of the society within the Bryn'adûl exists within a caste system, ruled by a singular ruler known as the Chieftain. The Bryn'adûl are incredibly xenophobic, not that the planet itself welcomes visitors in the first place. The Bryn'adûl are a highly militarised society with an oppressive atmosphere, exiles are hunted. Weakness is purged.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: The planet is in essence, an unorthodox fortress world - armed to the teeth with offensive weaponry.
  • Technology: Advanced Military technology, unorthodox and unlike the rest of the galaxy with primitive roots that still show in their technology.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION:
For so long, Draemidus Prime has been left untouched. A planet too savage and unforgiving for the rest of the galaxy. Draemidus Prime is a splintered rock, radiated and torn apart by many wars and past cataclysm. A sunless planet, its warmth drawn by one of the most destructive ionic storms in the galaxy.

The planet was discovered recently by Tathra Khaeus almost a year before his return to the Galactic Stage. The then Warlord of the Ancient Eye lead a small fleet to Draemidus on a secret mission, when the fleet encountered the ionic storm and the geo-storms of the planets atmosphere, the fleet was torn apart as Tathra was stranded on the planet's surface for several months.

Surviving only by mere chance, using the force to call beasts to his rescue - Tathra returned to known space after a year disappearance with the Bryn'adûl in toe, taking years to gather the resources to conquer his home-world.

Draemidus Prime sits on the edge of known space now as a fortress world. It's destructive power in the hands of the Chieftain of the Bryn'adûl.

Hey, I'm really sorry for being late with this. Hopefully we can work on this quickly and get it approved ASAP :)

I absolutely love the atmosphere of horror and extremities this planet has to offer. Only two small things that require edits:

These are all fine and I found the images that appear under spoilers. However, I can't find the header image (this one) in them. If I missed it, could you please point me in the right direction? If not, just add it in please :)

  • Major Imports: N/A - Draemidus Prime has no contact with the outside world.
  • Major Exports: Malabast, Draemidus Crystals, Durasteel, Various Ores and Metal, Gases and Toxins.
If there is no contact with the outside world, how could there be exports? Where would these exports be going to?

Added the image link as the first X.

The Bryn'adûl export to themselves, essentially. As they by in large use what resources they have at hand, both the Malabast and Crystals have been configured into their military equipment and assets, therefore they export by delivering those resources to other planets they have outposts or factories at.

In that case they do export and have contact with outside worlds, just very specific ones. I would add this specification into the sub to make sure it's clear to any potential reader :)

I see no issues here, just one question and I know it's messy because of the lack of coordinates on the current map at this time.

We're changing Coordinates to Location, because of the limitations with that and to give better options for folks since that has changed.

  • Location: [ This can be coordinates based on the old map, a screen shot of the hex on the map, or 'in X planet's hex' where X is an existing planet on the map. ]
If we can get one of those things added in here, that would be excellent.
