COMBAT INFORMATION

  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Combat Function: Field Commanders/Beast Handlers
  • Description: A shaman is a tall, typically more lithe figure that wields a staff. Adorned with bones and lighter armour, the Shaman is a Commander of both Drael and Beast.
Shaman Ranks:
-Shaman Adept: A Shaman adept is a newly made Shaman that has recently completed their training. They are not nearly as powerful as the other ranks within their order. They typically are only able to control smaller beasts such as Skags and Rhivaks.
-Shaman Beast Tamer: The Beast Tamer is an initiate of larger beasts, such as the Brumak and Ra'mak. The Beast Tamer is a step above the Adept, able to use multiple Beasts under their command at once.
-Shaman Beast Master: The Beast Master is a Shaman that has conquered the Servitors, capable of Impressive feats of Force wielding powers.
-Shaman Field Commander: The Field Commander is a step above, capable of commanding troops and beasts, such as the M'gaelak Siege Towers.
-Shaman Primarch: The Primarch is the defacto leader of the Shamans, and typically its most powerful member.

  • Strengths & Weaknesses:
+ Beast Control: The Shamans of the Bryn'adûl have symbiotic relationships with the animals under their control, they are masters of the beast. The Shamans can successfully command various species previously tamed by the Bryn'adûl to follow complex tasks and fulfil particular strategic goals.

+ Aeravalin Intelligence: The Shamans are solely comprised of the Aeravalin race within the Draelvasier, and are typically more intelligent and disciplined than their fellow Bryn'adûl warriors. Their scientific and decisive minds allow them to perform well under pressure, maintaining control of their animals even during personal combat.

+ Thick Hide: Like all races within the Bryn'adûl, the Aeravalin have a tough reptilian and bone-like hide that provides great protection against all forms of injury.

+Agile: These Shamans train both body and mind. Also due to their racial physical composition can be considered agile, able to move and escape various attacks through their ability to climb and traverse otherwise difficult surfaces.

+Protected: When the beasts of the Bryn'adûl are deployed to a battlefield, it is crucial that the control of these beasts is not lost, therefore the Shamans are typically protected by an escort of Bryn'adûl Zealots.

-/+ Separated: These Shamans use their force mastery to ensure the movements of Bryn'adûl troops and are crucial to the success of various strategies. Therefore, they are typically isolated away from the mainline troops, and while this is to ensure their safety. This also means they can be cornered, and killed.

-- I’m Melting: Heat is deadly, and the flesh of the Aeravalin is sensitive to it. This causes lower performance in combat within heated areas and a weakness to explosives and fire.
- Infrared Vision: Draelvasier have infrared vision, seeing through heat. This can be a problem with explosives in combat, as high exposures of heat will blind them temporarily.

-- Bigger Target: Stealth isn’t quite so easily achieved by the Draelvasier, their bodies are heavy and weighted, powerful. But this also means that they can be heard or seen coming from miles away.
  • Description:
The ability to command the cosmic powers of the force is rare amongst the Draelvasier, even rarer so to find those with competent enough abilities to be named master of an ability as difficult as control of many beasts and creatures. The Shamans of the Bryn'adûl are rare and vital members of their society.

Residing within the Elite Caste, the Order of Shamans belong to the Seers. Highly intelligent and powerful force users that serve as advisers to the Chieftain of the Bryn'adûl and Draelvasier. The shamans are chosen for their force potency during the process known as the Kad'Maera, the system of both training and education within the Draelvasier. From that point on, their education is overseen by the Seers, teaching them to serve as Beast Masters for the Chieftains war-effort.

The Draelvasier species follow a belief that a beings actions, competence and power is what they are comprised of. The rest, is trivial. At a young age, a Shaman is lead to the various breeding grounds of the animals they are expected to tame and control. When this happens, the Seers conduct what is known as a Ra'mu.

The young Shaman is instructed to kill, and prepare the creature as a meal. This process is overseen with great scrutiny as the Draelvasier believe that by eating this animals, this is a tribute to their spirit. A way to lend the animals strength to their own by devouring its spirit, and becoming one with it. This serves as a premature form of domination over the species, but also a way to honour them, and gain a deeper understanding of the things they will later on allow into the depths of their mind.

A Shaman is then told to adorn themselves with their kills as trophies, wearing various leathers as part of their robes and trinkets and trophies. Following this, each Seer is assigned three student Shamans under their guise, only one will survive their training.

The three are made to compete in their abilities to control various creatures, forcing them to kill one and others pets as the Shamans are taught to forge strong bonds with the creatures. However, this process also serves to teach them to not allow the deaths of their creatures to damage their minds. Sometimes, the bond between a Shaman and his first beast can be so strong that, in training they may fall as quickly as their beast.

Once their basic force abilities are beginning to mature, the Seers release the Shamans back into the society of the Bryn'adûl. These remaining Shamans then undergo a strenuous education under the Judges of the Draelvasier, being taught advanced strategy and introduced to various combat scenarios.

This education and training of their force abilities continues throughout their service to the Bryn'adûl as Commanders on the battlefield.

Great sub :) Only one thing before we can move this along;

  • Equipment: N/A
- Ceremonial Robes
- Bo Staff [Made out of bones]
- Various skulls and trinkets
What does the Bo Staff do? Is there a submission for it? If it's anything other than a staff (blunt weapon) made of bones, I need an elaboration. If it's just a blunt weapon made of bones, this needs to be written too please :)

Another one I need the update summary on. It's also still on the old template, so I need you to update that, in particular in regard to unit size/availability/experience since that part is what changed the most from the last version.

I'm missing the "general information" part under the General Information category (marked in yellow):

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: [ What is the name of this unit? Example: “Imperial Stormtroopers” or “Republic Commandos”. ]
  • Affiliation: [ Who is this unit loyal too? Usually a faction, company, or character. Link any relevant character bios, faction pages, or groups. ]
  • Classification: [ What type of unit is this? Choices include, but are not limited to: Conscript, Infantry, Engineers, Recon, Artillery, Fighter Pilots, Black Ops, etc. ]
  • Equipment: [ If your unit possesses any specialty equipment (weapons, armor, combat tools, star fighters, landing ships, etc.) list them and provide links here. Check the table below for production level and affiliation of any Factory submissions based on the unit's size and availability- those that are inappropriate will need to be changed. The unit may use equipment of the listed production or higher production values, but not lower. ]

  • Description: [ Give a brief overview of this combat unit. Notable appearance, if they have a unit emblem, general mindset and behavior, etc. ]

Everything else is great, just add that in and we can re-approve this submission :)
