Catch?

Putting the datapad back into his small backpack, Ar'ekk eventually removed whatever was covering his face and revealed his true identity to Teyla and company with nothing but a big smile on his face. His reaction was equivalent to one you'd similar to not seeing an old friend in a very long time, though in this case both the smuggler girl and the former Jedi turned slicer had only shared a drink, he was as friendly as one could be.

"No catch! Well, just the credits. Just make sure to catch every single credit chip inside or we'll be in trouble."

Giving Rafiki a two-finger salute in appreciation to his support, Ar'ekk laid eyes on Damon and Teyla and nodded. It was clear they were after the money after all and he wasn't surprised about it except when they offered him a cut which he happily refused. Though it seemed to good to be true, he was more than energetic enough to make sure his point was understood and that there was nothing to worry about.

"Keep the money, I don't need it. I'm looking for other stuff anyways and they should be beyond those doors too, don't worry about it." He explained while connecting a cable from a nearby computer terminal to his cybernetically installed neck ports, allowing him to connect and have complete control of the whole infrastructure's network, including security. "Consider it done."

Yeah! Sweetheart. Quite the surprise, wasn't it?

"Go on, darling. You don't want to keep your man waiting, I will make sure nobody comes to ruin our party."

All other exits and doors were locked as requested until asked to open them, denying anyone to leave or enter the facility. Turbolifts were deactivated too.

By the time [member="Arekk"] disabled the lifts, Hypatia found herself near the mainframe's supposed location. By now security was no doubt well aware that they were in the middle of a heist, however; there were at least two teams. One of which seemed more well organized and had more people, the other? Rogue. Getting to the mainframe wasn't going to be easy and her disguise had a one time use. It wouldn't take Void Station security long to find their bound and gagged friend. His security card would stop working - but not before Hypatia managed her way into a secured hall. It was time to find another ruse but in a secured hall that would have to come second.

The clock was ticking and the Confederacy would want their money, and she, her cut along with it. Slicing was going to take time but she couldn't focus on that right now. Right now it was all about black out, forcing the cameras and lights off. Cameras were still easy to do, lights - a little trickier. A quick throw to the generator on this level would work but she needed something more substanial something to distract from both teams. She needed another diversion, and what better than a station wide overload. That didn't require a mainframe, what it required was a manipulation of systems and tricking a computer into doing something it shouldn't.

At worst the plan backfires and she'd have to make the break to the mainframe without the stealth. At best she buys just enough time to get it done - or, Hypatia thought just as she walked right pass an environmental control room. Hypatia looked left and then right, used the card - tossed it and walked into the room. There were a few consoles and several lines that were plugged into each of the consoles. Hypatia approached them and read through each one, one controlled sewage, one controlled water and the other maintained data on both systems. Quietly she read through each options, thanking the gods for whatever person forgot to log out.

No security spikes needed this time, it was a matter of reading - and quickly.

In a split decision she decided to manipulate both systems.

Maintenance would have a field day, and it would be enough to distract some of the already stretched out security teams.

The process would take her a few minutes, and with each passing minute she knew that someone would get closer to discovering her. Hypatia concentrated on the screen in front of her, her fingers glided across each console's keys. Once the process was started she looked to find a maintenance worker's outfit, a new ruse. Slipping into it she grabbed the gear provided and headed out of the room. She rushed in the same direction of the mainframe keeping pace with other workers and when they went to figure out the issues with the lift? Hypatia disappeared into the stairwell.

Athena chewed on the inside of her cheek as she waited quietly in the ship that [member="Arekk"] had brought to Void Station. The Ebon Hawk was comfortable enough but she had woken up a little surprised. Alone. She had been in one of the resting quarters getting the newest update for her replicant frame and hadn’t realized that today was the today that her creator intended to score big. She moved through the dimly-lit hallways of the Hawk in silence. She hugged the walls, creeping carefully, while decidedly bare feet skittered across the floor.

The ship had been hidden, clearly, and power had been turned down to a minimum to remain off the radar. She crept up to the controls. Athena wasn’t afraid of Ar’ekk being angry with her for checking on his whereabouts but she was worried. It had been several hours since she had been offline. It was too late to catch up with him now but perhaps she could aid him in some way.

The plainly dressed replicant droid sat down in the captain’s chair and picked up the retractable cords that allowed Ar’ekk to connect with the mainframe. She could do so via the constant data-stream but a direct connection was always better. Her eyes seemed to light up, filled with an unearthly glow, as she traced the string of code that always led her back to her creator. She would know his presence anywhere. Be it physical or through any sort of technology. He was excellent at what he did but he could never hide from her. Splicing, hacking, was something she had been trained for long ago. It had been the basis of her initial creation. “You work quickly, Ar’ekk.”

He was connected to the infrastructure of Void Station. Now, so was she. He had control of everything and he would easily hear her through their secure commlink. It was, generally speaking, unhackable and untraceable. Her voice would ring in his head like a soft song touched with a sprinkle of pride. “I see that things are going well. Do you require assistance?”

It wasn’t so much that he would have needed her help slicing as it was that he might want it. Athena could handle many of the more hidden sub-routines that might split Ar’ekk’s focus. His work was his work and she would never try to interfere, but, she liked doing things with him. Even if it meant potentially bending the law. Chestnut colored eyes flickered. Teal lights flared within them. Surveying. Reading. Comparing. Analyzing—with each function happening faster than any human could hope to achieve. Follow the code. Follow the trail.

The turbolifts were frozen. Groups of employees were moving toward them. Trying to figure out what was happening. A lockdown? Mechanical failure? They didn’t yet know. Athena’s head tilted as she reviewed the active systems, searching for specifically for someone trying to override Ar’rekk, but instead found an anomaly. “The environmental systems are not functioning as they should. If the default settings are not restored many of the levels will flood. With human excrement. Would you like me to make the necessary adjustments?”

A more in-depth evaluation seemed to point to the fact that these systems had been compromised deliberately. Why would facility, in well-working order, choose to make it so that many of the floors became flooded? It didn’t make sense. Where something was abruptly different in a computerized setting, where there was an obvious hole in commonalities, there was a problem.

“There is either competition or virus attempting to circumvent movement. I am searching for both. Be on your guard, my love.”

"Good day, my beautiful. How did you sleep?"

Hearing Athena's soothing voice on his earpiece was like being above cloud nine and beyond, all that edge seemed to dissipate with a simple gesture such as hearing her talk. Everything about her made him feel in ecstasy almost, she was truly perfect in his eyes.

Aware that his beloved was already connnected to the mainframe since she had already found him, he bopped his head instinctively as if he was talking to her face-to-face.

"Matter of fact, I do. Could you take care of the emergency exits for us and create a path so we can make a quick gateaway? We'll take different routes out of this facility so calculate mine nearest to the Ebon Hawk."

Wait. What did she say? That wasn't possible, it couldn't be. If it happened that would not only be the most disgusting thing a human can ever experience, it also meant they were in deep trouble. Though he detected that someone was overriding his control over the facility's network, Ar'ekk was calm enough to let Athena do her thing and help them efficiently since she was as experienced as him on matters like these.

"Human excrement? You gotta be kidding!" The slicer raised his voice lightly so everyone could hear him, pacing back and forth as he tried to come up with their next move. After all, they depended on him and Athena to get out. "That would be wonderful, Athena. It would suck if that stuff reached our way, imagine the stench!"

Caressing his five o'clock shadow, the former Jedi now turned slicer walked to the door and watched the smugglers do their own thing as they rummaged inside the room, trying to find the perfect moment to break the news to them. The datapad containing secret information he was after was right on a table next to the credits and with a quick sweep he concealed it within his armor.

"We need to get out of here fast. Get the credits and load them up, we'll have company. Athena is clearing our path, let's not screw this up."

The Imperial resistance continued to be a minor pain, more sentients entered the station only interested in lining their own pockets. At least now his own ship was not the only one taking on civilians and with the amount of droids marching into the station it seemed perhaps he could focus on actually capturing the station, as well as perhaps keeping tabs on certain items that he wasn’t sure if he was comfortable with them being handled by Confederates without the purest of intentions.

He was most interested in the Viceroy who he had been informed was named Kenway, the man had gone in with a number of battle droids but reports had come in he had already found some important artifacts, The more important thing however would be to actually take out the warlord that owned the station before things got a lot worse.

It didn’t take long as a new type of Storm trooper began to emerge, with tubes running from their helmets to a chest piece as well as some kind of power cord connecting their blasters to their armour and red markings it was apparent the Empire had yet to throw its best at them.

“Take cover!” Vildarn yelled to those around as the droids fired back at the strange Imperial troopers.

“SCAR troopers detected.” said one of the battle droids before losing its head and Collasping to the ground.

As if that hadn’t been bad enough about twice the size, a larger and seemingly robotic creation stepped forward, an Imperial Purge trooper, just what he needed on a day like this. He fired at the SCAR soldiers but the Purge trooper fired rockets from its shoulder launcher forcing him to pull back.

Saving Private Ryan Those In Need
After the minor skirmish had been concluded, resulting in a victory, her immediate thought was to rush to the aid of the civilians. However, Aayaith looked over to Madalena and saw her struggling for breath, “Aayaith, I need two masks!” , she heard her yell. "Here." she calmly responded, immediately reaching into her bag and throwing two life support masks over to her. "Thank you for the assistance, Madalena." Aayaith stated, quickly turning her attention to the civilians bunched up at the back. She immediately ordered a few of her droids to bring a crate of life support masks, handing out the rest from her bag and, once the crate arrived, the masks from the crate.

Once all the civilians were secured she would order all her droids to take them back to the shuttle, ready for extraction and further medical attention should they require it. She would then continue to secure the area if necessary and assist anyone in need.. without her droids this time...

Marx watched with a dry mouth and quivering hands as The Confederacy smashed through his defenses. The man's crazed eyes were moist with tears as he watched the holofootage. Every so often he would slam his hands on the terminal in a fit of rage. Ragged screams escaped him as he realized his own guard had been eliminated. He looked to the footage outside of his own office, his bloodshot eyes locked on the screen while he muttered softly. "No.....No!" He looked around his office hurriedly as he heard the murderous knock at his door. He had all of the windows to his office sealed, to prevent thieves from coming in. Even the vents were ray shielded so no one could get in without his knowledge.

Turning back to his desk, which was still covered with an array of jewels and treasures, he dug for his blaster pistol. As the coins and gems fell to the ground he felt the panic take him over. It seemed each second since The Confederacy had arrived he was drifting closer to a hellish fate he could not escape. That fate was not the loss of his life but the loss of everything he had amassed. It was ridiculous to think that years of planning and maneuvering had ended with him losing everything! He would not have it! They would not take it!

Finally under the sea of riches he found his blaster pistol. It seemed to be a long time since it was detailed and it held a coating of scratches. He paid the thought no mind as he aimed the barrel at the door before him, yelling out. "You will not take it! It's mine! Mine!" He screamed, firing a few random shots towards the closed door in a mad display of his "power."

[member="Lirka Ka"]

Lirka chuckled as she heard the rampant ravings of the madman inside, Gods above how in the world was this station even running itself? Whoever must be his second in command deserves a metal along with whatever execution he, she, and or it was being given. After taking her brief time to look at all that had transpired she took another long breath in, trying to tap into the force. Drawing upon all that rage and hatred for another burst of force energy...gods she was going to probably pass out for a day after this one.

Placing a hand against the door she began to try and feel it out for the best spot. After deciding where she wanted (the center, why not spread the pain around?) she took a step back, attempting to consolidate force energy in her hand. It took shorter than she expected, to her credit. Finally finishing off her half-roar she unleashed what she had built up, nothing completely insane but in her eyes it was mind-boggling, the door itself was blasted open. Taking a brief moment she went to completely overexert herself and dashed forward, leaping forward with Klaive raised high she was particularly unimpressive looking specter of death.

Shame the armor wasn't there.

And she landed, bringing that humming Vibroblade down to try and simply cleave the man into a bloody mess.

An elite storm trooper collapsed to his shots as he took what cover he could by the wall, just his luck he had ran into possibly the most elite Imperial troops on the station. Only two of his B1 droids remained when the Empire’s forces stopped firing, they simply turned and ran the other way but Vildarn knew it was not because of anything he had done. He stepped out slowly with his droids, he spotted the massive Purge trooper that had been waiting for them.

His shots slammed against an energy shield as another few missiles were fired, they quickly homed in and took out his remaining droids. The Purge trooper marched forward extending its blade on its left arm. Vildarn moved backwards avoiding the massive creation stomping towards him. He had little choice but to run for his life at that point, the large hulking design charged after him.

“This is Commander Tentoria, I need some help here!” he shouted into his commlink hoping somebody could help him.

“Sir the station is lost, suggesting retreat or risk forfeit of critical military assets.” Sergeant Skaya of the SCAR forces said to his superior officer.

“His right, Sir, Tuspin cares only about his money and has done next to nothing to keep separatists from entering the station.” a lower ranked female officer said, adding her opinion.

An Imperial Officer with black spectacles covering his eyes let out a sigh. “Send some troops to get Tuspin out, prepare evacuations.”

“Yes, High Colonel.” both the Sergeant and Major said in unison.

Vildarn had lost sight of the Purge trooper but didn’t dare believe for a second it wasn’t still after him. He noticed he was approaching the deeper Imperial levels of the station, luckily Imperial bodies made it evident much of the station had already been cleared. He quickened his pace toward the stations command room as he heard the marching boots of more storm troopers approaching his location.

At least Ar'ekk had control of the entire system. Whoever this company was, or this other hacker was, she wasn't going to be ruining the fact the Confederacy had hired him personally to make this lift. Riggs had an ongoing contract with Darth Metus personally for jobs of this nature, and no one was going to ruin that. He would shoot someone before he would let down a client, especially one that paid like Metus.

Whoever this new hacker was, it seemed that he knew Teyla from somewhere. There had been a bit where Teyla had gone off on her own, needing space or something, after one of their more serious discussions. THey seemed to have a lot of those, and now she was pregnant with Riggs baby. Whatever their relationship was, it was serious, but the two of them just seemed to be too scared to admit what it truly was. They had talked about getting married, but they weren't. These jobs were all an means to an end though. Riggs had promised her that she would not have to raise a baby on a ship, and that was the larger motivation here.

Rafiki and Riggs started loading the credits up right away. They had little time to act, but had to take every single credit. Nothing was left behind as each box was loaded into the crates which they had managed to find inside the safe. With Ar'ekk and Teyla covering them, they were hard at work. Hopefully it had been fast enough because as soon as it was done, Riggs was on the move.

"Right we can catch up later and find out who is here shortly. Make sure we got a clean run back to our ship, and Teyla will shoot you coordinates to meet up with us when this over. Unless you want to join us.... we can always use someone with your.... skills."

He nodded toward Teyla to see what her thoughts were on the offer, and then motioned for them all to go.

"So let's get the hell out of here..."

WIth that, Riggs was out the door and down the line directly to his ship.

Storm troopers were hot in his tail as he made his way through the station as fast as he could go. He made his way further toward the command room of the station where the warlord would be hiding. He’d ordered more droids to his position but if they didn’t hurry up he would probably not survive long enough.

He neared the control center door, strangely it was open. He eased inside to see what was happening inside the room. Bodies of fallen storm troopers lay inside. This must have been why the other troopers were heading in this direction.

As the distance was not far, Brayden was able to leisurely join up with both Madalena and a woman he...definitely did not recognize without any trouble. The failing life support of the station was not terribly difficult to determine. Fortunately, Brayden had not exhausted a great deal of his energy reserves, so his breathing was in no way labored. The slight reduction in oxygen content was only just barely noticeable in the area of the station he'd previously occupied.

However, standing in a more congested area with all manner of bystanders sitting around, it was much easier to discern the perilous state of the station. As if on cue, klaxons began sounding indicating the danger. Rather than reach for a mask, Brayden opted to make use of a technique wherein he utilized the Force to retain stores of oxygen within his body for longer periods of time. It would weaken him, certainly, but it was an acceptable circumstance at present.

Bright eyes shifted from the wounded to Madalena and her associate. There was only one question on the Sith Lord's mind. "Why are you even here?" With failing life support, it seemed any would-be operation on the station was almost all but useless. Brayden certainly did not know what the objective was of Madalena's Confederacy, but he doubted that it was to die in a vacuum. Loss of life support, after all, meant far more than simply a reduction in breathable air.

The mask at last on her face and giving her lungs the oxygen they needed, Madalena took a few slow breaths, allowing herself the few moments required before her breathing returned to normal and she could push herself to stand without any effort again. She wanted to ask the woman about what was happening, who the butthole had been that turned the lie support systems off, but she could also sense her brother approaching and she took a few steps towards his direction, breathing mask ready in her hands when she realized…

Was he doing something through the Force?! “Show off,” she stuck her tongue at him, still not entirely sure what it was he was doing that was letting him breathe normally without the mask. And now that she thought about it, the mask probably hid her tongue sticking out as well, so she put that back where it belonged. “Whatever it is you’re doing, I’d love to learn it once we’re out of here.”

Madalena wanted to ask Aayaith her questions, but then she heard Brayden’s.

Blinking, she shrugged. “There’s an imperial warlord bolstered somewhere here,” she explained, “the Confederacy wants his and his people out. Likely, the station and the area around it will belong to the CIS after that. Why are you here, Brayden?”

And turning back to Aayaith, “who’s the butthole that turned the life support systems off? Let’s go pay them a visit!”

Ar’ekk had seemed like good people when they’d met briefly on Lithios, and he was helping them now without asking for anything in return. Still, she wondered what it was that brought him here to Void Station, with really great timing, too. It wasn’t a thought she lingered on for long, and when Damon made the offer to join up at some point in the near future, Teyla didn’t have any real protest to give and nodded. “Always useful to have someone around that’s reliable.” Even the Wookiee howled something that sounded like agreement.

Get the hell out of here?

Right. Didn’t have to tell her that, twice.

She was looking forward to getting back on the ship and leaving this place behind. Hopefully, Grey had made it back to the ship.

Adrenaline surged as the group ran down the corridor, dodging around some B-3Z technical droids along the way. Hault!” some of the mechanical voices began protesting, upon the realization of what it was the crew was running with, while others complained still about their work being infringed on.

She still couldn’t believe the haul, even after they paid their dues to the Confederacy and held up their end of the deal. By now, whoever the person was that’d been working against them, was barely an afterthought. The plans for the credits and what they’d do with their cut afterward took precedence. S’long as they were successful in getting off this rock alive.

So far, so good. Teyla thought, turning down another polished-sleek hall, ducking blaster bolts and trading fire when needing to, doing whatever it took to make it back to their ship, to freedom. Excited hope lit up her face, knowing the unmistakable red paint job of the Inquisitors Revenge, would be coming into view fast. This was part of the job she loved, when working with a team and all of the pieces just seemed to click into place to make it easier.

“We’re almost there!”

A lot happened on the way back to the ship. First Arekk agreed to meet them after he got back to his ship. Apparently he was the owner of the Ebon Hawk, a ship with historical notoriety. Riggs was shocked the antique still worked, and he held back some kind of quip about offering a tow if he needed it. Riggs was pretty sure that Teyla wouldn’t appreciate it considering she had met the man earlier.

They needed him, it was as simple as that. With Teyla expecting, Riggs knew their business venture needed more people to participate. Arekk has proved to be a good addition, so the offer had been made.

There was also the matter of mechanical droids that had been activated. The CIS could more than afford to repair them, so when they got in the way, Riggs shot them. Rafiki followed suit. There was no time to slow down on the way to the ship with the credits in tow. It wasn’t that big of a deal, considering they didn’t need the lifts. Riggs had been smart enough to keep his ship on the same level as where the credits were. The Confederacy paid him to do a job, and he worked efficiently.

Once the ship was loaded, Riggs and Teyla took to the cockpit. She fired the engines while Riggs ran through preflight quickly. Rafiki secured the crates, and in a letter a few seconds, they were in the air.

”Make sure you send Arekk those coordinates. Krant isn’t that far from here, and it is just as good a place as any.”

Riggs nodded toward Teyla before he sat back in his chair. The whiskey and champagne would be coming out soon, sparkling something for her, and maybe some cigars, to celebrate a successful haul. They were rich!

As the loud bang erupted into the room Marx dropped his weapon in a fit of fear. A loud yelp escaped him as his eyes took in the sight before him. The being that stood before him had bathed in the blood of his best men and had gained not so much as a scratch.

He was going to die.

Sickening screams escaped him as he turned to run away from the woman. Yet he was slow and weak and she had been trained to destroy her prey. Turning back towards a grouping of monitors he hoped to throw one of them at her in a mad dash to try and preserve his life but he was far too slow. She had taken to the air and was descending upon him with her blade aimed towards him. He gave one fleeting yell as her Vibroblade latched into his shoulder, the hot rush causing his yell to transform into a blood curdling scream. The screams echoed through out Void Station with a deafening screech. Crumbling to the ground he would stare at the screens before him. Each one had been programmed to show the balance of his banking accounts and each one read the same chilling number.

000.000.000

Drifting into oblivion Marx would give an involuntary twitch, a reflex set off from the pain of his riches and life being ripped away. With his men dead, his wealth depleted, and his treasures sacked death was all he had left, he welcomed it.

This marks the conclusion to the Void Station Dom. I really loved reading some of the stories that were presented here. As always feel free to keep it pushing and continue exploring what Void Station has to offer, thank you and hope you enjoyed!

Looking down to her bloody handiwork, Lirka grinned even wider than before. Yes, she was quite pleased with herself today: but the Sephi wasn't quite done yet, still far too much energy was coursing through her veins. And besides, might as well stick it to these pathetic little Imperials even more:

Moving over, she hitched herself into the comm systems of the station to deliver her message, making sure her accented voice gave her announcement throughout the station's metal halls:

"Hello! I apologize to inform you Imperials rats that your warlord is dead! You station is forfeit and a surrender would be greatly appreciated! Have a good day!"

And with that Ka went to lounge away in Tuspin's old seat, and that was exactly what [member="VildarnTentoria"] would've seen upon entry. The Sephi lounging away in a chair, far too pleased with herself and her bloodied Klaive resting against his old desk.

“Damn it!” said the female Imperial Officer balling her hands into fists.

“Sir, shall I engage?” Sergeant Skaya said in reply to the separatist voice over the comm.

“Negative Sergeant, prepare your men, we have a ship awaiting to take us to Tarsunt, with Tuspin out of the way we finally have an opportunity to begin rebuilding the Empire.” the High Colonel made his way toward his personal shuttle.

Vildarn stepped into what could only be described as a bloody mess, bodies lay upon the floor, among them was the Imperial war lord, at his desk sat his killer, some sort of amused assassin playing with the stations comm system. He would have complained had the storm troopers behind him not given up their chase and fled in the opposite direction.

“Greetings, I am Commander Tentoria.” he said hesitantly, he wasn’t sure who this being was but she was clearly not the peaceful type.

The loud clanking of droid feet could be heard behind him, of course a droid would follow its orders through to the end. He whirred around firing his blaster at the intimidating Purge trooper. He then dodged out of the way as the trooper fired rockets toward [member="Lirka Ka"] and the communications desk.

“Blasted Imperial hardware!” Vildarn yelled pulling out a thermal detonator.

“Take this you overgrown protocol droid!” he yelled as his detonator rolled under the Purge trooper’s legs and exploded, parts of the droid flew everywhere.

Vildarn walked up to what remained of the now legless droid. The mechanical construct looked up at him and quickly extended its arm gripping his leg, its other arm extended its energy blade once more and prepared to stab it into his own limb. Vildarn aimed his Blurrg at its head and fired away with everything he had. Finally the droid lay defeated and Void station was theirs.

Rogue.

Hypatia never seemed to work well with others, even now as the others made their getaway. She remained, the Thyrisian woman knew now more than ever that the clock was ticking. The station's mainframe wasn't too far away, banks were fun, but an entire station? Mainframe would have connections, names, money would just be an afterthought. The scoundrel grinned as she slipped by the guards, her ruse as a worker was gone and now? Now she was simply another face - the guards thought her to be a supervisor of the area. While the actual supervisor laid cuffed to a bathroom stall, lucky for them the sewage back up was elsewhere.

"Excuse me, where are you going? We're in the middle of a crisis! Go! Get to work!" She shouted and dusted the white shirt and black tie that she wore as she rushed in behind this innocent employee. When the employee turned over their shoulder Hypatia was no where to be seen she had instead walked around a large wall of computers, rows and rows of servers now would serve to keep her. Another datastick, and it was time to get through the mainframe's firewalls. Security spike to hurry the process? Yes, please.

// . . . DOWNLOAD TO DATASTICK ?
// . . . DOWNLOAD TO BACK-UP?

Datastick.

Encrypt? Yes. She'd have to send the data outside of Void Station. Hypatia then noticed someone else in the system, what's this? She wondered a moment and pulled it up on a secondary screen. Huh. She wondered a moment if they were part of the second team, but for now - she kept on. Hypatia switched up to security cameras she could see at least two teams searching for her. Now that she was in the mainframe she could reroute a few things, including locking doors to prevent them from getting in here. Activate defense turrets? Yes. Send droids? Yes.

That should keep them busy.

// . . . DOWNLOAD 78% COMPLETE.

Time to plan her escape.

// . . . TRANSFER CREDITS TO EXTERNAL ACCOUNT?

Yes.

// . . . TRANSFER TO EXTERNAL CHECKING?
// . . . TRANSFER TO EXTERNAL MUTUAL FUNDS?
// . . . TRANSFER TO EXTERNAL SAVINGS?
// . . . TRANSFER TO OTHER?

Mhmmm.

Transfer to all three, money would travel to several different locations tracers would read them as accounts from Eshan, Coruscant, or Corellia. Money would bounce out and then back into Confederacy accounts. All save for her share which would go to her personal account but that read as a business front. Download complete, and for her final act. Hypatia with her data secured, withdrew it and then inserted a small disc and from there a small virus would be unleashed.

Finally.

"HEY YOU!"

Time to go.

Hypatia looked over and gave the man a wink before turning on her heels. Blaster bolts whizzed by her ears, the Thyrisian turned a corner and bumped into another security guard. The woman didn't hesistate she checked him with his own gun, took it and a grenade. Pin pulled, grenade tossed just as the security klaxons went off. Emergency lift doors were starting to close, and Hypatia looked back just once to see the throng of rent-a-cops running after her. She slid beneath the lift's doors just as blaster bolts met the durasteel door's frame.

The lift was instructed to hangar levels.

When the lift doors inevitably opened she found that security had been waiting for her. Quietly she held her hands up and just as she stepped forward she noticed the array of vessels. All kinds of shuttles and freighters, someone once told her that part of a bounty hunter's rite of passage was stealing their ship. The Thyrisian wondered if that applied to scoundrels. Hypatia looked up, fire systems were installed - good, that was good. Flammable materials were on the left near the maintenance bay.

Shove, kick, rifle check followed by the sound of her blaster. Whisps of crimson rippled through making contact with the flammable materials which erupted quite gloriously. Hypatia tossed the rifle as the fire system activated and made her run for the nearest freighter.

Rushing aboard the ramp, Hypatia quickly looked around.

The droid stationed there seemed a bit confused but surmised, "ah you must be my new master, my new kind master, please don't deactivate me."

"I won't just help me out of here!"

"Ah yes! Of course!"

Security attempted to board, and Hypatia looked around until she found a scattergun. She grabbed it and rushed down to meet the would-be intruders, the recoil on the gun knocked her flat on her rear. The woman looked over and saw the security team down, and the ramp started to move. Thrusters powered up the ship lifted - and away they went.

Hypatia laid there back against the ship's deck as she laughed a moment, and then rolled to her feet. She walked to the cockpit and settled into the co-pilot's chair as she cheered. The ship now gone from the station's hangar made it's way to Tarsunt in spectacular fashion leaving a streak of colors in its wake.

“I have no nightmares to report., Athena responded wistfully to Ar’ekk, wishing, that she actually did. She didn’t dream yet. There was new software that was supposed to allow the simulation of dreaming for replicant frames like herself, but, they hadn’t been able to get their hands on it yet. She was doing her best to have patience but she could be incredibly excitable about things that piqued her interest.

Dreaming. Humans had no idea how lucky they were.

“I missed you. I don’t like waking up without you.”

The words were spoken plainly as she sorted through data streams and followed the careful lines of code that led from one system to the other. It felt like the web of a spider as it branched throughout Void Station. Expertly woven. Sensitive to all things, to all changes, and specifically to others trying to splice their way through deliberate firewalls. “I will create several evacuation paths to suit all parties involved. Please standby.”

She smiled when she heard Ar’ekk’s outburst about the environmental systems and took it as a sign to begin shoring up the damage that had been done. She opened the valves so they could flush properly and realigned the protocol to what it should be. “I do not kid. It would most definitely flood several floors with copious amounts of excrement. Fear not, my love. I have circumvented the issue.”

Athena tagged the individuals that she needed to follow and ensured that [member="Damon Riggs"], [member="Arekk"], [member="Teyla Ee'everwest"], and [member="Greyanna Elvanshalee"] encountered as few obstacles as possible. Her head tilted when she thought she saw something large and furry. A Wookie? Silently, she was intrigued. She had always wanted to meet a Wookie. Their language was quite unique.

A group of B-3Z technical droids noticed Teyla Ee'everwest and her people and Athena dutifully repointed them to a new task. She introduced a mini-wipe to remove any footage of the crew having ever been there. In fact, she surveilled all of the cameras that had not been taken over it time, and remotely wiped the data before a server backup made it that much harder to get to. One of the crew members shot the droids regardless. They would not be slowed that way.

Ar’ekk would be with her soon.

Still…There was something amiss. Within the mainframe there lay an anomaly. She saw it. Moreover—the anomaly saw her. Or at least the parts she let it see. The unknown had managed to make a copy of all the information that was stored within the Mainframe of Void Station. The team that her beloved was supporting had made off with an incredible amount of credits but an anonymous entity had managed to siphon away a decent portion.

How many teams did the Confederacy have on this assignment? Did this so-called Vicelord really expect her Ar’ekk to fail? Immediately, she disliked him.

Regardless, their efforts had been successful. Athena disconnected from Void Station and began to power up the Ebon Hawk to prepare for the return of her partner. They would meet with the rest of the team somewhere less conspicuous to go over the details. They were all notably excited about the amount of credits they had managed to score, but truthfully, Athena was just glad to have Ar’ekk back where he belonged. He was good in the field. Better, with her.
