INTRODUCTION.jpg

The Tygaran Alliance is a Monarchist Confederation centred on the world of Tygara and its people, though its influence extends beyond them. It was born in cataclysm when the Eldorai and the human-led megacorporation Firemane Industries launched an exodus to escape the certain destruction of the Eldorai's homeworld Kaeshana by a massive asteroid.

The exodites soon made first contact with Tygara's natives, who were divided, menaced by foreign corsairs and lacked spaceflight technology: The Persian-like Qadiri, the drow-like Xioquo and the wood elf-like Vashyada. While treaties were made with the Qadiri and Vashyada, open warfare broke out with the Xioquo as both powers warred for dominance, until the drows were finally defeated in a great battle.

Today, the Alliance faces the task of winning the peace, uniting various disparate people so that Tygara can speak with one voice and facing those who'd wish the world ill to maintain its independence. At the same time, the Elves and Firemane seek to extend their influence in the greater Galaxy. Firemane operates galaxy-wide, has its own paramilitary forces, fleet and Force order. The elves possess unique cultues and independent Force traditions untouched by the Jedi-Sith two-party system. "Tygara is also home to the Kar'zun, a formerly native silicon based sentient lifeform. Long persecuted by the Eldorai, the stone people have made their peace and are attempting to rebuild their civilisation in the mountains of Tygara's north.

FAQ.jpg

Who are you?

We are the Tygaran Alliance, a minor faction based around the planet of Tygara in the outer rim. We are a combination of several species as well as Firemane Industries and Technologies, a Tier 6 mega-corporation.

Your species subs are too long, what's the deal with these elves?

We have a broad spectrum of space elves for your consideration.
The Eldorai are a race forced to flee their homeworld of Kaeshana to avoid a massive asteroid impact. They are what one might think of as ‘Space High Elves’. The Eldorai are modernising to a galactic standard quite rapidly.
The Qadiri are a more primitive native race of Tygara, descended from the Eldorai. They are rapidly modernising and typically live in deserts and warm climates. They are essentially ancient Persia as inhabited by elves.
The Xioquo are a sub-species of Eldorai native to Tygara who lived in the mountains and caves of the northern lands. They are similar in some ways to the Drow of literature. After being defeated by the Eldorai and Firemane they are now experiencing life without genocidal Dark Sided rulers.
The Vashyada live far to the south in the forests. They are close to the conception of wood elves, and are the most isolated of all the Eldorai sub-races on Tygara. Contact and trade has just been established with them by Firemane.
Finally the Kar’zun, formerly natives of Kaeshana are a silicon-based lifeform which look like walking humanoid rocks. Once enemies of the Eldorai and almost wiped out they have begun a new life on Tygara.

So you're not just elves, what about Firemane and the Order of Fire?

Firemane is a Tier 6 corporation which grew out of the old Omega Protectorate. They supply quality armaments, vehicles, ships and equipment to all like-minded groups. They also offer mercenaries and military contractors to a variety of different operations.

The Order of Fire is Firemane’s home-grown Force User group led by Siobhan Kerrigan. They focus more on the military and less on the philosophical side of things. They are similar to the old Imperial Knights except they are devoted to Tygara and have a more neutral philosophy.

What are your goals?

Our goals are to promote the independence of Tygara from outside interference, defeat the Sith and their allies and make a lot of money selling things! We also aim to be a place where people of many kinds can meet and write freely.

What do you do?

Being a mega-corporation mixed with a matriarchal monarchy and a Force user group, we do a lot of things! We make commercial deals, we help out allies in Dominions, Skirmishes and Invasions, we train acolytes and we have more than a little Eldorai political Game of Thrones manoeuvring.
We also have our own major plots and threads such as the construction of new cities, creating new tech or fighting off invading enemies.

What opportunities do you provide for Force-users and Non-Force-users?

Force Users:
  • The Fire Order is a Neutral aligned Force using group with some Dark Side and Light Side practitioners. Balance, obedience and dedication are the main traits of the Fire Order. Both new acolytes and incoming Knights and Masters will be well received.
  • The Eldorai have an elite unit called the Angelii which are like a holy order akin to the Templars or Teutonic Knights. Eldorai who are Acolytes, Knights or Masters all welcome.
  • Rogue Jedi not subscribing to any order or faction.
  • Eldorai healers and clerics are Light Side Force users who use their training to assist rather than fight.
Non-Force Users:
  • Military characters of all types are welcome including; admirals, generals, soldiers, pilots, mercenaries and officers.
  • Scientists, researchers and designers are a big part of making new products for Firemane.
  • Eldorai nobles and leaders (though these can have Force abilities this would be a primary focus).
  • Business types such as lawyers, bankers and commercial people.
  • Those with companies who seek sponsorship.

What's your alignment and opinion of other factions?

We are generally neutral tending to Dark Side in alignment. However we have a very strict set of rules which must be followed by all those involved in the faction. This forbids, on pain of death, murdering of civilians, consorting with Sith or inciting revolution in the Tygaran natives.

If one uses the D&D alignments, Tygara is Lawful Neutral.

This is our general scheme towards different groups.
  • Sith – Implacable enemies. Will attack on sight. No exceptions.
  • Jedi – Distrusted monks. The Jedi are greatly disliked and though some have found a home on Tygara mostly they are spurned for their philosophy and lack of resolution. Formal orders are not allowed because they tend to want to control and convert.
  • Mandalorians – Allied warriors. Siobhan is a Mandalorian by adoption, and the Mandalorian ethos matches well the Tygaran views.
  • First Order/Imperials – Fascist conformers. Imperials and First Order are not necessarily enemies, but they are not our best friends either. Those who are reliable and not crazed like Sith we can do business with.
  • Criminals – Treacherous lowlifes. Criminals are distrusted for being criminals.
  • Slavers – Disgusting parasites. Will attack on sight. No exceptions.

Do I have to be aligned with SJO to join?

No. Indeed it is something of an advantage if you’re not.

Will male characters be enslaved by rabid femnazis?

Not unless you want to be! ;)

We are not fanatical feminists. If the Eldorai and Firemane were sexist in the past they have become much more equal as times have gone on. Most jobs are open to both males and females, though the top ones in the Eldorai are reserved for women only. Further, the Angelii are a female only Force using group of Eldorai.

How do you intend to contribute to salt production?

Tygara has some great salt mines! Other than that…not at all.

How do I join?

Head right
here and join the faction. Membership is approved by the admins so your application may be turned down if we feel you are not a good fit.

Examples of our threads:

First Contact: A joint Firemane and Eldorai task force with Levantine support discovers Tygara. After beating up slavers, they negotiate a treaty with Shâhbanu Semiramis, a powerful Qadiri ruler. Game of thrones intrigue ensues. First fighting with Xioquo.

Exodus: Nemesis has come to Kaeshana, doomsday is at hand. The planet descends into chaos and turmoil, but almost three billion people are evacuated before the asteroid devastates the planet. Firemane conquers a Xioquo fortress and discovers a light side drow!

Twilight of the Goddess: The Alliance attacks the Xioquo capital. Three days of brutal fighting ensue throughout the subterranean Underealm. In desperation, the Xioquo awaken their evil demigoddess, who is struck down after eating many of her own people. The battle is won at a staggering cost, now the Alliance must win the peace.

The Eigth Battle: The Fire Order supports the Silver Coalition in their attack on Ruusan. Bloody fighting in the streets of Olmondo, which is left in the ruins. Relations with the Sanctum and the Silver Jedi sour after the battle's end.

We were also recently involved in the Omega Event in both the Ground Battle and the DM Adventure.

Looks awesome, I was just thinking about Eldar-ish races a while ago and lo and behold, I spot this!

Quick question: Just how limited are males on the force user side of things? Banned outright, or are they the same as the rest of the culture in that they're only prohibited from the top?

Eldorai males cannot join the Angelii or become priests.

However they can be trained in the Fire Order or hold other government and noble positions.

There is indeed. Join the faction and/or check out the species subs (they're long, lol) to find out more. Feel free to ask any specific questions you have though.

Regicide is not a good thing to get on side, no. :p

How about we get Abregado to join the alliance since we do everything together anyway? Also we have that weird interplanetary droid-elf movie night

Talos shall fall! :D

[member="Horus"]

haha. I can see that being a point of contention, though Sio beheaded an Eldorai princess once! Moreover, Tygara has a very strong Forcer presence, though it's hostile to Sith and not fond of most Jedi.

OOCly I like the Commonwealth. A different incarnation of Siobhan might've joined it (an alternate version of her really hated 'mages' and served a secular military dictatorship).

[member="Sinya Kairn"]

Thanks for the interest! As Tegs, the various species are subbed in Codex (the links should be in the ad), with detailed information about culture etc. They all have some common elements, but differ in a number of ways. Ironically, the Vashyada and the Qadiri are more liberal regarding the status of men than the Eldorai.

The Order of Fire has a detailed writeup inside our forums. Since Sio runs it ICly, I can answer any questions you might have about them here. They're basically Firemane's Force-using arm and a very martial order, serving alongside the regular forces.

It's a mix of dark and light-neutral Force-users and overall grey in alignment. They're governed by their own code of conduct that empathises obedience to lawful authority, martial valour and finding balance in the Force.

One of my alts, Elpsis Elaris, described them a bit in an IC interview here: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/90771-interview-log-003-the-fires-of-progress/

Oh, and here's the link to the Eldorai's capital city: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/85564-new-santaissa/

[member="HK-36"]

Lol. HK can suggest it ICly!

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]
Well we'd be glad to hear of Princess' beheadment, although we're not entirely hostile to all nobles, after all, Horus is a noble and it is well known. The only difference is he is the one who ordered to have the monarchs executed.

The Commonwealth also isn't a fan of space magic, they see it as scary and uncontrollable, a power that should be left to ancient gods and not 'mere men'. But in saying that, as you guys also don't like Sith and Jedi I'm sure the Commonwealth could begrudgingly ignore the space magic. Either way, we'd be happy to do some RP with you guys

[member="Horus"]

Hahaha. Thanks for elaborating! Amusingly, Siobhan came from the gutter and was a poor prole. Thus while she's nobility now, she still dislikes many vain blue bloods because they 'never had to work to get where they are'.

That seems like a reasonable point of view to me, and makes perfect sense ICly given all the destruction Force-users have caused. Personally, I've always thought many commoners would fear or revile them. Since both the Order of Fire and the Angelii are military organisations, punishments for Forcers who go off the rails tend to be quite harsh.

We'd be happy to rp with you guys, too. :) Especially given the Commonwealth's actions during the fleet battle in the event. Could establish some form of diplomatic contact. Firemane would be open to doing business with you guys. And we'd support fighting monsters in the unknown regions.

Sexism! Sexism everywhere!

Speaking of sexism.

What are your faction's views on Witches of Dathomir, considering their affiliation with the Mandos, the Force, and "enslavement" of men.

Thanks for the info! Starting to work up a character concept now in fact.

Question: The codex entry for the Eldorai state that all force sensitive children are taken early on and indoctrinated into the Cult of Ashira. Is this the same for male force sensitive children? Is the Cult female-only, or am I mixing them up with the Angelii?

Then after their Cult training, they could go onto secondary education, and then seek a career in, say, Firemane?

Note: I'm not trying to game the system or anything, just don't want to make a character that clearly wouldn't work with the awesome Lore i've seen so far.

[member="Sinya Kairn"]

No problem!

All Eldorai Sciians (that's their word for Force-user) receive basic instruction to control their abilities. That applies to both males and females, though only the latter can become Angelii.

It's mostly about them learning how to control their powers and not to abuse them. After training is complete, all Sciians who don't become Angelii are free to pursue whatever professions they like, though they're lightly monitored. Only a minority of Eldorai Force-users become Angelii, who are about 10, 000 strong give or take.

So what you suggest is totally possible. Firemane would hire someone like that. Having the Force is one way for a male Eldorai to gain prestige and social status that would have been normally closed or more difficult to achieve.

I should note that the Eldorai don't believe in Light and Dark Side the way Jedi or Sith do. Sciia is both their word for the Force and the soul. They see it as their inner flame, which the gifted can tap into. The religious believe it's a gift from the Goddess Ashira. They have a word for the 'Dark Side', Dashdae Sciia, but Dashdae are simply people who have abused their powers, become renegades and traitors etc. It's more of a political and/or religious label than a metaphysical one.

Witches are seen favourably...so long as they're not loons. They certainly appreciate the matriarchal style of the witches though they feel they are a little unrestrained with their methods. Certainly open to discussions with the covens though.

<_< Go watch the original movies with their 3 female and 97 male speaking roles. :p

[member="Sinya Kairn"]
[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] will answer you there as she had something nice composed.
