ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Highly maneuvrable: The design of this ship allows for better movement through the use of side thrusters located within the open spaces near the spine of the ship, the powerful LF760I Hermes engines also add to the ship's capacity to be much more maneuvrable than any contempary ship within the same class, making this a very useful vessel for quick suppression tactics and long drawn close quarter battles at the same time.
  • Secured Bridge: Unlike many a ship build in the galaxy, this ship has its bridge compartment firmly located as part of the raised spine on the back of this ship, with sensory systems and shields either in-board or made much less apparent, this also aids in the ship's sleek profile and structural integrity.
  • Extremely powerful Hyperdrive: Combining the impressive NZ OS-HD1 hyperdrive and the NZ F.A.R. fusion arc reactor grants this ship some serious capacity both in and out of battle, with the hyperdrive capable of performing detailed microjumps and even shimmers, it gives the ship some actual system maneuvrability and defense prowess that allows for it to impress any and all opposition, yet also allows for comfortable and fast long distance jumps with relatively low reload times.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not a troop carrier: Forgoing the space for hangars in favor of more aerodynamic shapes, sleeker profiles and maneuvrability, this ship has a lower capacity for carrying starfighter and support craft squadrons, making it somewhat more vulnerable against the use of swarm tactics.
  • Explosion prone weakpoint: Though the gasses coming from the reactors are sent through tubing towards the engine pods to ensure safe removal of the excess build up within the reactors, should the shields fail, this may turn into the ship's critical achillesheel if one were to be able to directly strike one of those tubing systems.
  • Complex Hyperdrive: Should the hyperdrive be completely drained from energy due to the excessive use of microjumps or shimmers, it will not be capable of doing much for a relatively long period of time, any damage incurred may also be disastrous as only N&Z engineers are capable of understanding and repairing the mechanisms of this particular hyperdrive, not to mention that should the hyperdrive be hit by a critical shot, you may very well write off the ship...as there would be no ship left to repair when that happens.
DESCRIPTION
True to form, the N&Z Umbrella corporation did not mind designing a wholly new and anonimously procured line of star destroyers. With their large pool of experienced designers and engineers, such an undertaking could be easily used and fullfilled, making this one of the few designs the company made which was not meant to be used for the galactic market or the internal market.

The Tron-Class Star Destroyer was one of the two versions based on a single design and platform which were designed and built for a single, specific anonymous client representing the Direx group. Their parameters were simple, but also did detail on what they were looking for. The ship had to be very maneuvrable for its class, with a sleek and slippery shape which still inspired awe and fear at the same time, the ship was not allowed to be lower than average in terms of its actual firepower and it had to have proper defenses as well. This raised the bar a bit for the designers, but overall itwas a manageable and welcome distraction for the company, which usually designed its larger ships to utilize overwhelming firepower and defenses in favor of speed and maneuvrability.

To make sure that the ship ran and operated as smoothly as possible, its design incorporated a single ZEUS Mk II as its core, bolstered by the NZ T.o.p. and several Proton Mk I droid brains in various configurations to further support and expand the possibilities of the droid core. Additionally, a seperate ZEUS Mk II would be in charge of the ship's sensory systems,to avoid putting all eggs in one basket and to further increase the cyber safety of the ship, which thanks to being build by the N&Z could bow on utilizing their form of datatransfer through induction and magnetic fields rather than pure electronic transfer, making them quite the hard target for slicers and a true challenge for the professionals.

It's weaponry was a mixture of short range and long range capacity lasers, turbo lasers and missile launchers, allowing for a wider field of use for both the ship itself and any fleet itwould bepart of. Even utilizing the NZ ARD-1 monotype point defense system which had yet to reach the open market at that point, further increasing the overall specs and value of the Tron Class star destroyer. However, its defenses were not forgotten either, with the powerful and versatile NZ SS-1 primera shield system, the Tron Class had already a very good basedefense, made even better with the choice of exterior plating which could withstand some serious damage even without shielding thanks to the design implementation of heat and energy sinks all accross the surface to minimize the damage of any impact to a certain degree, cap drains to avoid major EMP shortages and the use of conner nets upon the ships themselves. Lastly, sensor scramblers would make it harder to recognize the ships on radar and would yet again aid in making these ships quite a hassle even for the most professional of slicers.
