STRENGTHS
  • Jack of all trades: The NZ LC-1 laser cannon is smack dab in the middle of all of its class' ratings, making it so that there is no discernable weakness in its functions and operations in comparison to other laser cannons of the same class.
  • Easy to operate: Given its simplistic design, simple operation system and practically analogue way of firing and working, even someone who has no experience with using weaponry can realize the advantages of the point and squeeze system of these laser cannons.
  • Reach [only counts when mounted on gyroscopic platform]: Thanks to using a gyroscopic platform for placement on capital ships, this lasercannon is capable of having a much wider firing angle to work with, allowing for easier targeting and more broad targeting than fixed platforms or sideways rotating mounts.
WEAKNESSES
  • Jack of all Trades: As said earlier, due to it's overall average ratings, this laser cannon has no obvious discernable flaws or weaknesses. However, exactly due to this, it also has no discernable strengths, no ratings or points in which it excels in a comparison to other weaponry within its class.
  • Fragile mount [only counts when used with platform]: When used with the gyroscopic platform, this very platform which gives the benefit of wider firing angles and tagreting range, but it is and of itself a weakness, as any well placed shot can put the gyroscopic platformout of commision and thus render the laser cannon immobile.
DESCRIPTION
With the urge to make more mass produced products came the necessity for the N&Z corporation to set aside its usual search for bigger, better and stronger and to think about the design and creation of a simple, yet effective weapon to be used on a whole new range of ships and vehicles within its line up. To avoid any difficulty of use or any actual flaws within this weapon, it had been determined to make sure that this new laser cannon dubbed the NZ LC-1 would not excell in any area, as to avoid needing to compromise in any other area. This resulted in the LC-1 being a rather ordinary, unassuming piece of equipment that as such would never truly be an inspiration, but at the same time would be able to act as a reliable and practical weapon on any ship built by the N&Z and or its subsidiaries and partners.
