Xan was supposedly from Coruscant, a street rat who had to fight to survive. But when she grew old enough she wanted to do more with her life. She became part of the planetary defense force and strived to be the best she could be. It was here where she honed her skills with hand-to-hand combat, blasters and starships. But after several years and many supposed enhancements to help in her duties, she grew tired of the life she was living.

She got more involved with local syndicates and was apparently caught selling weapons to one of them. With that bad rep on her name, she fled the planet and decided to look for a new home. She found Denon and decided to make the most of the new world with its goldmine of opportunities.

Anything more than that is either buried too deep to dig up or seemingly has no evidence. Though she has more than enough scars and mementoes to prove her claims.

After arriving on Denon, Xan established herself as a very dangerous and reliable Shadowrunner for Darkwire. Though after a long time, the truth came out eventually. Her real name was ‘Experiment T3/21-SS’, more commonly known as Tess. It was a secret only a select few knew about her, but the truth came out nonetheless. She wasn’t some soldier from Coruscant, she was a genetic experiment created by an unknown organisation that operated from the shadows.

This, however, didn’t stop her from going rogue and forming a new life on Denon. She met new people, got reacquainted with old friends, and even formed a relationship that made her a pseudo big sister to a young boy she grew very fond of. She also made many new enemies, naturally in the form of the Corporate Authorities of Denon. Her reputation grew quickly as she took on many missions and accomplished tasks that made even other Runners revere her name and bright outfits. Unfortunately she bit off more than she could chew when they went after a DireX top dog onboard his space station.

She was captured when she set off a self destruct sequence and turned into nothing more than a bunch of code when the Corpos stuck her into a truly despicable device they used on a Shadowrunner before.

For a long time she drifted through the Holonet in perpetual agony, robbed of her very being as a person and forced to watch others continue with their lives without her. She made do in this form, making friends with a criminal and helping her former colleagues in Darkwire as a very advanced and dangerous A.I. by aiding them on the software side of things. All the while she plotted and planned on how to get a body back. Eventually she found her solution.

She approached a friend of hers who could build a Human Replica Droid for her to inhabit. She would be a person once more, this time far more dangerous than she ever was… and armed with new knowledge on a great many things.

  • FeGwwE8.jpg
Upon first meetings, Xan comes off as casual, flirty and easy to get along with. She doesn’t look for trouble right off the bat but will often mess with a person for the hell of it. Her mask helps to keep her face hidden on the streets but in private she doesn’t have an issue showing her face.

Though when in private, she becomes a little different. She doesn’t talk so much about where she came from or what she did before arriving on Denon. When pressed she can become defensive and flighty, though it mostly remains hidden behind an easy sense of humour and energetic personality. Getting to know her on a more personal and deeper level won’t be an easy task, despite her willingness to make friends with people.

    PROS:
    • Glow stick: With her revealing clothing and outrageous attire, she is easy to spot. Though she knows how to handle her bright and eye-catching features to her advantage.
    • Queen Kong: Trained with all kinds of weapons and martial arts, Xan is dangerous at a distance and up close. Her enhancements also grant her unnatural speed and strength.
    • Driver: Xan is a decent pilot and driver, and can easily adapt to different vehicles
    • Chameleon: Her dodgy personality and easy personality shifts allow her to shake the paint and blend in easily if needed to.
    • Small package: Various genetic and cybernetic experiments from her military career, and hard training has made her extremely dangerous. With sharper reflexes, higher intelligence and quicker problem solving skills, thinking on her feet is easy.

    CONS:
    • Broken: Her time as an A.I. has hurt her deeply and made her very unpredictable at times.
    • Tiny: While an excellent fighter, surprisingly tough, and with inhuman strength and speed, her size might be a bit drawback in a fight
    • Extreme: After what the Corpos did to her, she has an irrational hatred towards corporate figures and wants to see Denon’s rulers burn.
    • Self destructive: While Xan is level-headed and responsible for the most part, she can get a little unhinged and go off the rails now and then in her free time, ruining her overall health and putting her in danger.
    • Modifications: Xan is not just genetically enhanced, but technologically as well. So while an EMP or ion blast might not kill her, it can temporarily hinder her abilities or knock her out entirely, if they can get through her EMP defensives.
    • Not that good: Aside from the obvious fact that there is always someone better, Xan's training isn't that detailed or deep. She is an average survivalist at best and maintaining anything else other than her weapons is not something she's capable of.
