HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The original design of Jar'kai was one of protection. Situated on the top of a massive spire of a mountain with a three kilometer drop on all sides. The Royal Tomb, carved deep into the mountain's core to serve as an eternal, impregnable resting place for generations of rulers. This was not a dark crypt, but a sacred necropolis, its chambers designed to honor the dead with enduring grandeur. Above and wrapping around this subterranean sanctuary lay the Garden of the Empresses. Furthermore, the architects envisioned the entire complex as a refuge. The vast, interconnected caverns, storage halls, and fortified galleries of the tomb system were engineered to house the entire population of Jar'kai in times of siege, transforming the sacred mountain into a veritable city-fortress.
Jar'kai's defensive purpose was tested to its limits during the prolonged assaults by the Sith Lord Mythos. The city suffered terribly, its structures battered and breached. However, each rebuilding effort incorporated hard-learned lessons. Walls were thickened, choke points were added, and defensive emplacements were integrated into the natural rock, making each new iteration of Jar'kai stronger than the last. The most profound violation occurred when Mythos's forces established a prolonged occupation. The force storms corrupting the air of the city behind the walls into a darkside miasma.
The liberation of Jar'kai required more than a military victory. A Jedi Knight, known in the archives as Zanza, confronted the lingering corruption. Understanding that the city could never truly be free while the nexus remained, Zanza performed a legendary feat of Light Side prowess. Within the deepest chamber of the tomb, she did not merely dispel the darkness; she forged a "Wall of Light." Following its liberation and cleansing, Jar'kai entered its most ambitious phase of reconstruction. The people, scarred but unbroken, were determined to ensure such a desecration could never happen again.

- Structure Name: Tomb of the Emperors
- Classification: Imperial Mausoleum, Public Memorial, Fortified Monument
- Location: Atrisia
- Affiliation: Atrisian Commonwealth
- Accessibility: The tomb is one of the most famous landmarks in the Commonwealth, open to all citizens and visitors to behold. Its imposing facade is a daily sight for thousands. However, accessibility does not mean vulnerability. While the main plaza is public, the single, massive entrance is a formidable chokepoint, constantly watched by the stoic, unmoving Imperial Yovshin Guard. Entry into the tomb itself is highly regulated; all who enter are screened, and the path is strictly guided, ensuring the sanctity and security of the innermost chambers are never compromised.
- Description: Rising from the heart of the bustling capital, the Tomb of the Emperors is a stark, powerful reminder of the nation's history and strength. It is a ziggurat-like structure or a massive, square pyramid carved from a single mountain source of black kazue stone, its surfaces worn smooth by centuries of weather and the gaze of millions. The contrast between the timeless, silent monument and the vibrant, modern city that surrounds it is intentional and profound. It is a public park, a national shrine, and a dormant fortress all in one. The air around it is a mixture of urban energy and the cool, still aura of ancient stone and history that emanates from its walls
- The Plaza of Eternity & The Grand Arch: The tomb is surrounded by a vast, open plaza of polished granite, always filled with citizens, tourists, and pilgrims. This public space is designed for gathering and reflection, often used for national celebrations. The focal point is the structure's sole entrance: a colossal, sheer archway that seems to swallow the light. The sheer scale of the arch and the knowledge that it is the only way in or out reinforces the tomb's duality as an open symbol and an impregnable vault.
- The Hall of Conquest: Once inside the public entrance, visitors find themselves in this immense, downward-sloping corridor. The shift from the bright, noisy city to the cool, silent, and humbling interior is immediate and dramatic. The hall is lined with the Stone Guardians, their monolithic forms and jeweled eyes a silent, potent warning to any who would consider defiling this space. The murals of charging cavalry and empire-building serve as a visceral history lesson for the public, glorifying the price of the civilization they enjoy outside. The latent energy in the air is a palpable sensation, a constant reminder that the glory depicted on the walls is still protected by power beyond understanding.
- The Chamber of Ancestors: This circular heart of the tomb is the ultimate destination for any visitor granted interior access. The public nature of the tomb stops at its threshold; here, silence and reverence are mandatory. The spiral of white jade daises and the jade stone statues holding their legendary swords form a sacred grove of history. For the common citizen, seeing this chamber is a profound, once-in-a-lifetime experience that connects them directly to the lineage of their rulers. It is the spiritual core of the nation, made visible but never truly touchable.
- The Vault of Legacies: Visible from a secured gallery or perhaps as a chamber viewed from behind a transparent, yet virtually indestructible kazue wall, the Vault of Legacies displays the empire's foundational treasures. The coronation crowns, first coins, and golden maps are there for all to see, but not to touch. This public display of immense wealth and power is a bold statement of the Commonwealth's stability and enduring legacy..
