Khyros waited as the game started, his eyes roaming over the movements of the others as they went for the ball, threw the ball, let the ball hit them, and so on. Khyros was aware, intellectually, that he was supposed to care about the ball, that it was the central point of the game. He turned, then, towards Xobos Yakieer and moved slowly towards the sentient. He moved with calm precision, approaching in a defensive posture. Each hand held one of his twin pentag blades. He cleared his mind, let his gaze unfocus as he waited for the sentient to either attack or flee.

The witch raised her right eyebrow, her eyes filled with suspicion as she stared at the lawyer who was dressed in armour fabric that was sexy. Something was definitely not right here, yet she could not pinpoint why. She was confident that her mental capabilities were strong enough to read the surface thoughts of others, but [member="Vera Mina"] seemed to possess a mind that was filled with emptiness. It was as if the brain did not exist and the raven haired lady had no thoughts, an impossible conclusion.

Was Vera wearing some sort of device capable of protecting her mind from being read? It was an entirely plausible answer which Veronika had to assume. There was nothing else she could probe really, not when Vera suddenly recovered from her discomfort and was behaving normally again. Time of the month? No, unlikely. The blonde dismissed that thought, knowing that the cramps during the period were not easily ignored if they really were strong.

"I look forward to receiving a sample fabric from you soon, Vera." Her voice trailed off as her attention was drawn to the drunken lady who had been ill mannered since they met. First off, [member="Karlie Lynn Destat"] had sat on her seat. Next, the drunk was mocking her manner of speech and tone of voice. Veronika felt her blood boiling by the time Karlie got her name wrong, her eyes narrowing while her thoughts were filled with how she could force choke the ill mannered bred to death.

Veronika hated the agent just as the agent hated her.

"It's Miss Fleischer. Chrisyakova is my fashion house, but I am pretty sure someone like you can't appreciate taste, since it cannot be taught..." Veronika's voice was dripping with venom by now, her fingers twitching in anger but she remained smiling. She was more than capable of putting on a mask if she wanted to, on days when her mood was better. So far it had been a good day, but things were definitely dipping downwards with the presence of Karlie around.

"You need to go to the Ladies," she rolled her eyes when Karlie mentioned the word pee. What a peasant the agent was. Crude with words. "It's that direction..."

Veronika smiled, raising her hand and tilted the agent's head towards the direction of the bathroom. As she withdrew her hand, the witch flicked her fingers against the palm, controlling the Force remotely to give Karlie an impolite pat on the cheek. It was her subtle way of showing off her annoyance, an untraceable hint of arrogance that read something like "Watch your mouth or else".

Alwine sat in one of the back rows of the arena, curious brown eyes looking at the commotion and game that was quickly developing within it. She had never heard of Huttball before, and truthfully, had not been able to attend many sporting events through her life. On Stewjon, the most she could have hoped for was to witness a brawl around a bonfire. Out of it, she was learning about more and more options that opened to her as time progressed.

Holding a big box of popcorn in her hands, her little fingers excitedly tossed the kernels into her mouth as she watched. She'd been certain a moment ago that Scherezade… No, Madalena, would grab the ball, but instead the woman just let the ball hit her in the face while she stood there. Why? And on the other side, a three person fight looked like it was about to go down. Why? Was the fighting mandatory? What happened during a fight? What happened if you won a fight Did your team get any points that way? So many questions, and she had no one to ask at all.

Alwine wished that [member="Gerwald Lechner"] was with her. He would have enjoyed the sights of the game, of that she was certain. While the two siblings spoke often, she couldn't help but feel it had been too long of a time since the last. He would have had stupid comments to make, and she would have laughed at the stupid comments and call him an oaf, and they would both be having the time of their lives. They needed some more good moments to share.

Giving a little cough, Alwine returned her attention to the game. So far, none of the teams had scored a point. Was Huttball considered a hard game?

Feeling parched thanks to the salty content of the popcorn, the petite Lupine figured it was a good time to get up and find something to drink. And maybe try hotdogs.

Adron was cute when he was vaguely miserable.

Pulling him away from his duties as an Exarch wasn’t terribly difficult but it was in spare, slow moments when she noticed that the Imperial had never quite left him. Of course, the notion of attending something called “Huttball” would offend his sensibilities. Alessandra was in a similar position. Though she planned to enjoy the snacks and the company, she would do her best to follow along…Even if she didn’t know the rules in the slightest.

When they sat down she could feel him reaching for her and scooted closer so that his arms could fully envelop her if he so chose. It had startled her, at first, how often he seemed to reach for her mid-section. Feeling the little life grow stronger every day seemed to soothe the Serenno noble and in turn left her feeling a little less…Eccentric. “At the least, the paperwork would keep you here.”

And not lightyears away, fighting a brutal war, on foreign soil.

Alessandra wasn’t against the war efforts. She just wished that for once, just once, Adron wouldn’t have to go. Wasn’t the Vicelord and his pet albino sufficient enough to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies? “I’ve seen shock ball games on Coruscant a few times. This seems different though, considering, the goal there generally revolves around knocking each other unconscious...It’s actually quite hilarious.”

Not to mention the credits that were lost or gained on the incessant and monstrous betting practices. Alessandra had a head for numbers, but, there was no way she could guess which of the players might be able to survive that sort of voltage without more information. There were too many variables. She much preferred, if anything, counting cards.

Ale shook her head and chuckled, softly, when Adron suggested that they return to his ship. Of course, that was his game plan. “We already found out what happens when you get distracted like that for too long. Exhibit A.”, she commented, before pointing at her stomach, as her eyes turned petulantly back to the game. “I get fat.”

Such a princess, so much sulkiness, it oozed off of her in waves. She was not a fan of having to selectively choose what she wore to hide the fact that she would soon be larger than a beached space whale.

When her fiancé produced the requested popcorn and pulled her closer she was more than happy to crankily oblige. She scooted so that her back could rest partially against Adron’s chest while the game progressed, though, hearing her name from him gave her reason to pause. Especially the way he said it. At first, strangely, she had barely noticed the difference. It flowed. Alessandra Eva Malvern. He corrected himself and she deliberately shoved a piece of popcorn in her mouth to hide the beginnings of an uncontrollable blush. Karking hormones.

Adron kissed her cheek and the half-Epicanthix woman had to take a deep, steadying breath, to keep from reacting. Then, he called her by a title, that somehow, seemed to be near reality. A Queen? Her mother and father were titled in a variety of ways, but, it depended on where they were in the galaxy. Regardless, she was no princess, and certainly no Queen. Her mind was sent whirling. She didn’t know how to take it, not really, and wasn’t entirely sure if she would be well-suited for the work it required. She knew numbers. Money. “You’re feeling possessive today…”, she murmured softly, conjuring a smile, as a sense of warmth and security wrapped around her. It didn’t matter how often she said it or thought it, but she had missed him. More than she was willing to admit.

“Only a few months?”, Alessandra questioned, raising a brow, though she didn’t move. “That will be costly.”

Fast work that was still of fantastic quality was hard to come by. Illyria held some of her best memories and some of her worst. It was a place where they had both nearly died. However, it was a place, where she had finally managed to let go and show the Exarch how she actually felt.

“Does this mean I’ll need to call you my King?”

The buzzer sounded and the crowd roared with an undying vigor. Excitement palpitated in the air and popcorn and other snack type items tossed through the air and the buzz was certainly something to behold.

“And! Here! We! Go!” The Rodian exclaimed in conjunction with the buzzer sounding. Down below in the arena, the teams moved with the Kraytpuffs making a quick play for the ball. “And Helly with the quick play of the ball! What a start?!”

“Absolutely! But look at Voph coming in now for the counter.” It was a site to see for sure as the teams collided. The game had already seen its fight about to start and its thunderous roar of the crowd crescendoed further, growing more and more in volume.

“A quick pass to Madalena! But we’ve got to keep an eye on this Sightless vs Superstar shebang getting underway right now!” He paused as he watched a rather precarious situation unfold. “Well, so much for that pass. We have a free ball again!”

“Don’t forget the far side of the arena! Looks like we got movement from Allya toward Alden! She going to be able to secure the knockout?!”

“I don’t think so, Calum! Just look at Alden…looks like he’s finally being smart and turning away from the Mando!”

“You think he’s getting scared or is he trying to set something up?”

“Definitely scared! Just look at him. I know I’d have already had to change my trousers a couple times if that was me!”

“That might be a bit much, but let’s keep an eye out on that too. Let’s see where that goes. Should definitely be interesting.”

The start of the match proved exciting for sure and the crowd was loving it. It was evident with their thunderous and endless applause.

Helly's competitive attitude faded for a moment as she watched her teammate let the ball hit her in the face. It was like watching amateur performers get up on stage and trip.

As the ball fell back down towards them while Voph was coming in hot, she swung her sabers asymmetrically in a wide arc, hoping to catch him with at least a bit of it before he could gain possession of the ball. Sadly, she knew that her best chance of winning that fight was to do so when Voph had his attention split rather than a fair duel. It did take her back a bit to some of the only times she ever did use her lightsabers on another person, none of which were what she had considered to be a game. Instead, she remembered the times before she left Coruscant, just an urchin on the streets trying to survive. It was rough, but those days it seemed comfortable, like a mother's embrace, even if that mother was destitute and careless.

She may not have had an extensive background in martial arts or the force or being a warrior of any kind, what she did have was a scar on her leg from trying to hide from authority at a construction site. Of course, that had nothing to do with swinging around lightsabers.

Voph flipped his quarter staff to block both lightsaber blades as they flew towards him, and pushed forward. He was considerably larger than Helly, and he knew to use that to his advantage. He stepped back just as quick, whirling his staff around to be held in the ready position. Now that they were separated, Voph had to think quick. If he was able to get the ball, he'd have to move quick. He was already picking out his target. And all he had to do was get the ball. So he turned, sweeping the quarterstaff in front of him to try and trip Helly up. His head angled up towards the ball flying towards them, and his empty hand came up to try and catch it...

The Exarch let out an amused chuckle, his hand pressing softly into Alessandra's abdomen once more. "You're pregnant, and still as beautiful as the first day I laid eyes on you." He said with a pristine sincerity before he looked back to the ruckus below. It was a very rustic form of amusement. To be fair Adron was not very fond of social outings that did not include alcohol or some form of formal dancing, however this was competing for the bottom of his list of activities he would like to do.

Now when the man's crystal blue eyes saw the blush that came from Alessandra's cheeks he only wished to be back on their ship that much more. He enjoyed the frey of her emotuions, AT TIMES, because it made her a tad bit more vulnerable to his approaches. Still he held her close to him he could not help but wonder just how the woman would form to being a mother. Their children would be expected to handle a monsterous weight on their shoulders, and they would do so excellantly. He' be lying if he said he was not eager to see the woman beside him wrapped in the warming aura of motherhood. The thought nearly caused him to chuckle a bit. When she said he was feling posessive, he shrugged off the comment before stating, ever so plainly. "You are mine, as I am yours."

When the topic changed to Illyria there was no hiding the pride behind Adron's words. They dripped with an elegeance that displayed his fondness for this new world. "It's imperative that the seat of our power be solidified soon." It's imperative that he had what he wanted. Was the better translation for what he had just said. It had been beyond a costly effort. After his House had hosted a world's celebration they were tighter on funds than he would like to admit. Yet, when Adron took command of a prominent banking organization, the funds to revive Illyria made themselves known. Alessandra's next words were honeyed as they drifted into his ears. He smiled back at her, holding her chin up with his finger as he spoke to her. "Always." His smiled widened a bit before he allowed her to rest back against him. The Exarch exhaled softly before gesturing out to the field. "I've decided to take an apprentice. Two actually." He said, before looking to the woman who would be his Queen. "[member="Alden Akaran"] and [member="Xobos Yakieer"]."

"They're....In need of refinement but they are not without promise. Alden shows a particular strong bond to the Force, though I can tell he shies from using the Dark Side. Xobos, is unstable and a scizophrenic, but her potential equals his. Together they may even prove to be something of worth. They've already shown they can work together, helping me with a small errand." He said, with a mischevious twinkle in his eyes.

"HELLY, DUCK!" Madalena screamed over the crowds. The scent that she had caught earlier had become almost nonexistent to her senses right now, allowing her to focus fully back on the game. She had done a major oopsie by letting herself get distracted like that and lose the ball, so now was the time to to make a comeback.

Hoping Helly would listen on time, Madalena's hands quickly spun around themselves as she formed her dark orb, her Kinetite. If Helly moved and Voph did not, it would hit him square in the chest and hopefully be enough to send him away from Helly.

As the orb flew through the air, Madalena quickly re-positioned herself, ready to catch the Hutball this time should it be tossed back at her.

"Oh, Miss Destat is just having a little fun at the ball game, Miss Fleischer. I'm sure she doesn't mean anything bad by it..." Vera said smoothly, though it was all she could do internally not to tear out her hair. [member="Karlie Lynn Destat"] was right fething next to her, so tantalizingly close...and Vera was just barely keeping control, not wanting to mess up like she had the last time with Karlie aboard the Morpheus and Vera had...malfunctioned...after tasting Karlie's blood. Nine had to erase what happened next from Karlie's memory. It was the first time Vera had ever begged her mother for anything.

It suddenly occured to her...if she died again...no more Karlie to be flustered by.

Vera had been so in love with her slaughter that only now had that fact come up. If she died, there would be no more talking to Karlie. No more Karlie, no more slaughter. No more fun. No more Karlie.

No more Karlie...

Vera didn't like that. Didn't like the idea of never salivating over her again, surreptitiously looking her up through castle spies. It hit her that she would have to be much more careful.

Karlie tactlessly announced her need to use the restroom and Vera seized the opportunity to get away from Veronika and her suspicion, which seemed to have lessened but was by no means gone.

"I should be delighted to send you a sample however..." Vera said to [member="Veronika Fleischer"], then seizing her chance.

"Miss Destat, you could get lost in your state. I really should accompany you..." Vera offered helpfully. It was a new thing, interacting with organics beyond killing them or ruining them or protecting them in court. Given how stressed her processors were, she found herself wanting to feed suddenly. Besides, Mother had upgraded her processors...this was invaluable learning experience.

Vera, now that she was back to a relative normal, tried to recall the sensation she had gotten when her processor had been turned off, and Karlie's face and scrunched against hers. She did not understand it, how it made her heart pound a million times faster. She still didn't understand what had caused her malfunction aboard the Morpheus...but she would control herself around Karlie until she did.

One taste. One taste. One taste...

Vera swallowed a bit at the thought of another drop of midi-free blood...and that divine little smile on the blond...

Interacting with: Vera Mina and some rude touchy feely blonde [member="Veronika Fleischer"]...Ooh-lala, not impressed. She could only wish she had a pretty nose like mine. Ha!

"Huh?... wha-
...what am I supposed to see, silly....more blurries?...hehe.." yes, it were funny, as the other blonde turned Karlie's head in the direction of..of the HEADS?..er toilets....no, no... what the frak they call them again?... Ah, the refreshers, yes.

Still, getting pointed to the blurr up the row of VIP seats was a good start. Karlie went on to get up and figured that scaling over the seats in the direction the blond blur (Veronika) had pointed her head toward, was a no brainer... a straight line... that would equate in karlie's head to be the shortest distance between girl and her porcelain. Brilliant! Karlie could do this.

But on another note; nope, sorry to say but the force slap didn't work or act like it were expected on Karlie. It were nothing more than say, uhm....a soft whispered kiss, blown teasingly to her cheek hair follicles. Unbeknown to the witch (that would be Veronika again) Karlie had no midicloreans in her blood or body to respond/obey the force witch's command of the force. Karlie did however feel the whisper, like a gentle breeze..only it were more hot air..excited air as a result of eddy current force acting upon the surface of her skin/hair that should of otherwise been the flesh of her skin/bone.
If the witch figured that out, she would more use the force to compress the air close to Karlie's face and snap/pop it to act like a force snap would. But influencing Karlie internally or by normal means in a direct way were for the most part futile.

So no, the girl only felt a soft warm blow of a kiss...if she could even feel it in her state. Which...sigh...which she didn't.

"Oh!..." She then looked to whom had grabbed hold of her hand and stopped her from scaling the seat s to get to the blurrs that Veronika kindly pointed her to.
It were Vera.
"Yea?... you'll come with me?..." Karlie was so happy that she wouldn't have to find her own means of getting to the blurr. "You're always there for me, Vera.... always there, looking out for me..."

In fact, her very own Vera, whom Karlie was now convinced in her current state was her guardian angel, guided her across the seat isle, making sure she didn't trip, out to the stair risers... and then up to where the blurs actually started to look like.......like....
"Gasp!.." She reached the REFRESHERS!!!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

20 minutes later...

Karlie finally came out of the refresher, finding her Vera waiting for her outside.
"Oh, Vera..." She were surprised but nevertheless happy to see her again. It had popped into her noggin (head) that maybe she had overdone it with the champagne. It were difficult for her since she purged herself of midis to handle alcohol..even in bubbly form. The mere fact that she had surfaced a dormant condition that existed within her family genes/DNA as a result of that purge made her susceptible to alcohol poisoning...or to put it plainly, low alcohol tolerance.
Her family genes seemed to have a primal genetic disorder that the midis seemed to be able to control and keep dormant. But no midis, no control or dormancy. She had a sugar problem and alcohol was not something she should be at all consuming.
But-
But she had her wrist cron that kept her sugar levels up to norm and...and...and it did what it could to help her process alcohol too. Only it took longer for it to do so. So, the girl got drunk fast and on a dime...cheaply.

"I thought you'd-..." No.
No she had thought wrong. Vera hadn't left her. Vera never seemed to leave her when she needed her most.
Still, while in the refresher, karlie came to some sense and reason as to her being plastered as such and possibly blowing it with Vera. She then lost track of time awhile while trying to sober up.

"Thanks for waiting..." She stepped aside for another woman to enter the refresher. Wow..Vera actually waited and didn't diss her!

"I nearly put my head under in the wash sink..hehe.
Uhm... actually my face really..... after I managed to plug up the drain with-" She stopped mid sentence realizing something she had forgotten to do.
At that very moment the same woman who she had stepped aside for, came out of the refresher with quite an irate look on her face.
"Some freakin joker thought it funny to plug up the sink and leave the water running..." She said, storming on over to the bar while muttering.. "frakin trash, they are letting in up here...frakin trash..."

"Shoot.
You up for a hot-dog?" Karlie then tried to change the subject and find a means out of the VIP lounge.
"I remember passing some stands down below... my treat." She offered Vera.

True, the more typical common fast foods below to the commoners were such processed foods. Not cheap by any standard for crap food that could be questionable as far as consumable. But GOD they tasted good..with fixings and all.
Besides, she best get herself out of the VIP lounge before that woman ratted on her for-

"Oh crap..." Karlie found herself stepping on an expanding puddle of water creeping out of the refresher, and it were soon to reach her Vera.
"I think we best...gulp....get elsewhere..."
Karlie, pretty much sober somewhat, put her arm around Vera's and ushered her away from the refresher and the puddle of water expanding out of the room. The very same puddle that now found the risers and started to cascade down the first step...then of course the following ones..like a series of waterfalls.

Karlie looked down to where the other blonde was, and gave her the tongue.
Ha!
She were the one walking out of the VIP box suite with the godess Vera, not the other blonde Veronika!

Time was beginning to run out, that much was evident as Xobos heard the announcer speak over the intercom. Her useless eyes flickered over to the man toward her front, gripping his knives in a defensive formation. Grip tightening on the spear, she weighed her options of whether to attack the man to her north, or make a move toward the ball and try and help her team.

Xobos growled as she knew what needed to be done, and it didn’t involve engaging with the man in front of her. Turning to her right, the Miraluka leaped onto the platform, seeing a fight going on for the ball. Quickly she began to move in that direction, stopping close behind Voph to be able to give him backup for when he inevitably won the ball for their team.

Khyros saw as his quarry moved away from the fight he had been hoping to start. His quarry was moving to take the ball, apparently focused on the game more than fighting.

Khyros almost pouted, but instead he only turned and mirrored his opponent toward the ball. He was still not entirely focused on the game, just looking to keep his opponent, Xobos, from gaining the ball.

"Face me!" He yelled to Xobos, his eyes boring into the side of his opponents face. He took an experimental swing, though he knew at best he could only hope for a cut along an extremity, but he was trying to start a fight here.

The Confederacy of Independent Systems' people were known for a great many things. They were known for their refusal to let innocent suffer. They were known for not suffering another Empire to live. They were even known for the wonderful muffins made by their exarch [member="Srina Talon"].

In many ways, it was probably a good thing that he Azterri had already concluded their paperwork with the Confederacy in order to join their territory and enjoy their protection. Because if this game of Huttball would have been theirs to judge prior to signing documents, the Confederacy would have never been able to add Azterri to its Systems.

The game continued on and on, and with the ball never actually making it out of the center, and the fights between the opposing teams being pretty much lackluster, one thing was obvious.

The Confederacy had won another Most thing to add to their list after all that time had passed and not a single point was scored.

Most boring game of Huttball ever.

The leaders of the Atzerri government sat in their VIP booths and laughed. One thing was for certain – the Confederates would only be invited to watch games in the future, and never participate in them again.

BJonGz.png
The decision by the Atzerri government is final. However, you are more than welcome to continue your story, keep on playing, or keep on watching!

“You’re biased.”, Alessandra turned the compliment away with a dismissive wave of her hand. She knew that he was being sincere but the Minister could be a little vain about her appearance. It was one of the reasons she had never wanted to carry a child, and, one of the reasons she took such good care of any scars she had been left with when they crashed into Illyria. “Fat.”

“If it weren’t for the fact that your child likes to eat I would look into a cleanse.”

When he turned her cheeks pink, against her will, she focused on the game of Hutt Ball that was going on. So far no one seemed to have scored a point but there were plenty of close calls with someone nearly getting nailed in the face. That, at least, filled her with a dark sense of amusement. The raven-haired Creed nibbled on the popcorn gingerly. In truth, she was starving, but they’d only just eaten right before the game. She was self-conscious enough, especially in front of Adron, that she often waited until the very last second she could stand it when it came to having second breakfast, second lunch, and second dinner. The Exarch…He had a way of speaking that always made her feel…Different.

It was good. The way he said “mine” simply always caused her ears to melt.

Mercifully—the topic changed to the codification of the seat of power on Illyria. This was something she knew well. Rather, she knew Adron’s desire to have what he wanted. The reaction that he’d had around Life Day when she’d temporarily rejected his marriage proposal had been evidence enough that the Sith was used to getting what he wanted. “If you need assistance with the initial costs…I can help. I have a trust from my parents, not to mention, my own savings.”

It was no small amount in either case. He pulled her chin toward him when she uttered the royal title with a touch of sarcasm. A smirk fluttered over her lips when he released her and then began to discuss the new apprentices he had taken on. The raven-haired beauty nodded her head, slowly, and continued to nibble delicately. “So…More children to deal with. One was not enough?”

“Alden Akaran will learn when it matters most. The darkside is superior.”

Her words were spoken with a fair amount of experience. The light side was restrictive and easily countered. The darkside had a price; but it got the job done. Hearing that the second apprentice was unstable caused her to frown. That was hazardous. “Do you even know how to deal with a mentally disturbed creature with super powers?”

A typical schizophrenic was a danger to themselves and others if left unmedicated and unchecked. Adron did not seem to share her concerns, however, and instead looked rather pleased with himself. As a Minister she was required to defer to the wishes of an Exarch, unless, it harmed the national treasury or placed them in a position that would disrupt the Confederacy as a whole. As his future wife, and the mother of his child, she could raise all the hell she wanted. “How do you plan to control Xobos Yakieer if things get out of hand?

Control. It seemed like such a harsh tone. But, it was a necessity. What would he do if the apprentice snapped and turned on his Master and fellow student? Surely, he’d thought about it.

The Minister looked down at the game that seemed to be coming to a close. Xobos, the apprentice in question, seemed to be on one of the teams. Overall the Confederacy didn’t seem to be doing very well at this sport but it was obvious to see the effort put forth. When the game of Hutt Ball wound down she could hear Atzerri officials erupt into raucous laughter. She supposed it soothed them to know that the nation they belonged to, surprisingly, weren’t experts at everything. It made the CIS appear less terrifying, and much less, like the war machine is had become.

“…You should not shy from what must be done, Adron. My child will have a father. I will have my husband. Don’t kark it up.”

Vera didn't have any trouble with guiding [member="Karlie Lynn Destat"] to the restroom. That was the easy part.

The hard part was the twenty minute wait. Unaccustomed to the mundane nature of simply waiting for someone to finish with personal matters, Vera found herself going slightly stir crazy without something important to do, like killing something. Or lawyering someone into insanity. Or simply destroying a reputation by planting a few illegal drugs--

The image of a drop of Karlie's blood falling on her tongue wiped all other considerations from the android vampire's mind. Her fingers twitched, much like that of her own mother, as her processors warmed at the idea.

Her own enhanced vision allowed her to spot her hated younger sister Magnus in the huttball stands, who was using her own enhanced vision to stick her tongue out at Vera. Wretched little thing! It had been her who had shut off the processor!

Vera stiffened in something akin to fear when Magnus playfully held up the transmitter that allowed her to do it. Vera dreaded the idea of feeling guilt and restraint again. Guilt and restraint would have kept the biot a hundred kilometers away from Karlie. Lack of it however...

Vera spotted some people who looked annoying enough to her to track and kill later but Karlie kept her anchored to one spot in a way only one other organic could. Vera was not sure what it was about Karlie...beyond being the first, the very first organic that had ever fooled her ability to read emotions as well as being the very first non combatant that had ever challenged her, they were quite different.

But being needed by someone beyond monetary or business purposes was something that was completely outside her frame of reference. Even her mother did not 'socialize' in the traditional sense, mainly because her mother knew Vera was a sociopath by design, and tried to stick to her intended purpose. Vera even got the sense her mother was (rightly) afraid of her own creation. (Which begged the question of why bother creating something you fear could destroy you.)

Vera did not know how to describe the sensation still, being around Karlie. There was no legal term or assassination technique associated with it. It was just there--

Karlie came out, looking much better than when she had left, though Vera noted Karlie had done some sort of unintentional sabotage inside and calmly stepped back from the water. These shoes were expensive. Karlie then offered to get them out of here and buy a hot dog. Vera had to scramble for a lie. She had read the technical schematics on this new body she was in quite thoroughly...she could not eat food naturally. Only blood or biot nutrient.

Vera decided to go for the old digestive track excuse...that wasn't her term, that was literally how her creator Nine Lives had written it in the database.

"I'm afraid my digestive system is too sensitive for this sort of food. If I ate it I would...regret it...I have a very specific diet I'm afraid..." Vera lied expertly--or told the truth expertly, depending on how such an answer could be viewed in light of her nature, though she gave a reassuring smile to her regardless.

The water accident seemed to grow worse and Karlie wanted to leave. Vera agreed. There were plenty of finer places to treat Karlie and Vera had already become filthy rich on her cases. Not just the regular kind of filthy rich either. The kind of rich that would have allowed Vera to possess a banality and decadence that would have threatened to cross into horror film extremes had she less self control. Things like eating pancake-wrapped roasted nerf in a bathtub full of maple syrup while shaved wookiees gyrate for her amusement while some random Sith in full fetish gear butchers a clown right next to the gyrating wookiees. That's the sort of money she had.

Vera however, decided to play at some shameless flirting, remembering how hungry she had been on the Morpheus. "However, I won't mind watching you go all carnivorous...its honestly rather cute..." Vera replied in a low voice, giving a playful little half smile. The cheers and confetti and bright colors made that moment, staring at Karlie's face, all the more memorable. Especially when she stuck out her tongue at [member="Veronika Fleischer"]. Vera was polite enough to refrain from laughing, not wanting to draw the celebrity's suspicion any more than she already had, and certainly not her ire...a spiteful celebrity could be a deadly foe. Especially when said celebrity was also force sensitive, giving how her body kept pumping out pheremones to continuously convince Veronika she was human.

"Let's go Karlie...you'll need sustainance after all the questionable alcohol they were serving..." Vera suggested, walking out the lounge with Karlie, and hopefully out of range of the transmitter and Veronika's suspicion. She was intrigued to observe Karlie in a domestic setting, unhindered by trauma or threat of death. She hoped the Morpheus memory never came back...most of the memories Nine ate did not but there had been exceptions.

She didn't like to recall Karlie backing away in horror at the truth...it brought her as close as she could get in her normal state to being depressed...

Interacting with: Vera Mina and some rude touchy feely blonde Veronika Fleischer who was left all by her lonesome deserving self. Ha!

It were on her way out of the VIP lounge that she took notice of the score board. It were in holographic form right over the field in view of all the spectators. 0 - 0
It almost made her break out in a fit of laughter, for the double zeros seemingly were visually right over [member="Veronika Fleischer"] 's irate form, when Karlie gave her the tongue.

'Double zero for double looser..' she thought.
It certainly fit the snobby blonde below. Sure, Karlie had been plastered, but not forgetful of how the blonde came on to her. Then again, Karlie did have some good clean neural pathways that had once held horrid memories, soaking up new experiences. So yea, a bit sober now, she remembered the blonde well enough to stick it to her.
'Pft...to think that she was trying to smooch her way in getting to Vera with her fancy-smancy designer dress sock she came struttin in...pft...' No way Karlie were letting that fly...no sir!

"Get out!...you too?..." Karlie replied when Vera mentioned her strict diet, giving her a teasing 'huh-hum' eye over. Sure, tummy problems...nicely put she let slip a little smirk.
Who was Vera trying to kid? Karlie knew it were Vera's way in not only watching her 'to die for' figure, but keeping it in the manner that- there was a moment of hesitation as near erotic thoughts churned in her head.
...well, such thoughts were strange even to her, the attraction she had with Vera. The woman was just-... 'sigh... oh good lord', the woman was just so woman!
The age difference was also playing a major factor in the attraction. Vera evoked experience, confidence, domination...heightened sexuality...shiet, she just smelled awesome!
Karlie didn't know what exactly she wanted of Vera...just that she wanted her.

"Well, I hadn't given it much thought in grabbing a quick run of junk food. But yea...as good as they are, dogs...hot dogs rather, just don't like me either..." Yes, Karlie were still on the track that Vera was meaning in watching her figure. Karlie hadn't though on the fact that holding such a figure may not come so naturally. Still, it were one upon which even the goddesses would envy of a mortal.

"But i think you're right though. I ..I mean 'we' should see about hitting a good eatery somewhere...uhm, you know...where we can talk." Yea, right... talk.
Her eyes kept meeting Vera's, each time getting a small involuntary muscle contraction... oh my god.
'No, no!.. sigh...' Damn, she had to pee again.

"Some game huh?...don't blame you two..." an usher made some kind of comment that was pretty much over Karlie's head.
He were meaning how the game bombed big time...a disappointment...couldn't blame the two for leaving.

Nevertheless, she took to look over to the scoreboard again...double zero, like before. So when was this game going to start? There had been an endless scream of fans and scores of announcements, but not even a point?
maybe this was some kind of skirmish, an exhibition game of sort. Still, she had no clue as to what or how this Hutt Ball was played. Ball games weren't her bag.
One thing was certain, it had all just been background noise.
She shrugged her shoulders, giving Vera a 'whatever', to the usher's comment on the game as they left the stands.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

It weren't difficult at all to secure a good table at a local restaurant surrounding the stadium. It were all commercialized for the fans. fans who were still yelping and hollering like bamshees. Even curbside, the roar and scream of the fans could be heard resonating.
The restaurant wasn't too far a walk. hell, karlie would have walked a few kilometers as long as it were besides her Vera. only that she had to go in the worst way.
"Oh..this one looks...awesome..." She said, coming up to the very first eatery. hell, she would have jumped at going to a McDurttle, if they had a refresher...

"Come on, looks like we're beating the crowd." And with that they entered 'Pits and Ball' a fine sports bar and grill.

Getting immediate attention and a favorable table...if they had a choice. But Karlie accepted the first good table without a fuss and got to see Vera sit before she announced the fact that nature was calling again.
"Be right back this time...promise." She said, lightly stamming her foot holding it best she could. Sure, she could of rushed off, but she didn't want Vera to think that's all she wanted to do or why she had ushered her in.

"Ok Ok...be right back. You can order for me if you like. I don't mind having what you're having...." A moment of hesitation as she tried to read if Vera was alright with it..with her. She seemed good with it...seemingly not mind being out with Karlie. This definitely was important to Karlie, as she didn't want to seem too pushy and eager. But all seemed to be going OK.
"Grr...Ok, got to go. I'll be back..." and with that she scurried off to the ladies refresher.

4 minutes later...
...and with a happy go lucky smile, she sat herself across from Vera.
"Coffee.... oh great idea..." Karlie got herself busy with the light creamer and artificial sweetener, that Vera had seemed to order for them.
"Wow...you seemed to have needed it just as bad..." Karlie commented on the empty coffee cup in front of her Vera...light traces of coffee left, along with a used spoon settled next to the cup.

Karlei's offer to fill Vera's cup with the carafe left on their table, was met with 'one cup a day was all she could handle...without her climbing walls' kind of reply from Vera.

"...listen.." So Karlie began...

"I was kinda not all myself back there... on the Morpheus, I mean.
I don't know, but later after IAN came to pick me up i had a lot of time to sort things out.
well, sort out what i could....shoot, seems i must of blocked out a lot of stuff.
But I know I didn't block you out." oh how to scathe what was really going through her mind and tightly crossed legs.

"You... you were nice to me. You made things go a lot better than they would have, i think.
No.
No I know that you did. I just didn't get a chance to say or thank you for your help..." her eyes lowered, as her features started to blush again.

It were hard to talk to Vera like that...thinking of her and how Vera had taken care of her on the Morpheus and proving her innocence and all that and not feeling the euphoria she were experiencing. It all had become something more in Karlie's mind. After all, she were human as humans could get..or were at one time in this galaxy. And for the most part, they had been vulnerable. That is until the midi's came to pass and affected them like everyone and everything in this galaxy. only now, Karlie had reverted herself to those first humans...before they succumbed to the midis.

It were not difficult to pick up that Karlie definitely enjoyed sitting around shooting the hay, talking up a storm...just enjoying the woman's company...
