Brayden's silver-green gaze remained focused on Alessandra as she responded to his words. There was scarcely a reason to be nervous about meeting any relations of Faye. In the end of the day, he could and often did tolerate a variety of individuals simply for whom they were. The only person that he truly needed to love and care for, was Faye herself. In fact, the simple thought instinctively caused Brayden to press his body just a little tighter against her own.

Before her brother could respond and around the time that Alessandra acknowledged the young girl, Brayden's datapad beeped softly. With his free hand, the Sith Lord fished it out of his pocket and quickly skimmed the message while Adron and Alessandra were focused on Allya. Though the message wasn't necessarily problematic, it did spurn a sense of urgency in the Endelaan Prince. No sooner had Brayden slipped the device back into his pocket than he sensed the approach of two familiar individuals.

Clad in formal robes of black and silver, the two Endelaan Warriors blended it...relatively well with the throngs of upper-class visitors. The only differences were the stern expressions they wore and rigid postures they maintained as they walked side-by-side towards the less-than-unsuspecting Prince of Endelaan.

Brayden attempted to break from the conversation before the arrival, glancing at Faye with an apologetic expression before returning his gaze to Adron and Alessandra. "I'm sorry to interrupt but...Faye and I should probably g---"

The Prince didn't even have time to finish before the Lieutenant cut in, speaking heavily accented Basic. "Your Highness, it is urgent." The Lieutenant, as a matter of consequence, knew of what the Prince was attempting to do, and that he valued it above everything just shy of the now ever-present woman standing next to him.

Brayden cast a stern gaze in the man's direction which quickly silenced any further comment from either of the warriors. While he understood the urgency and that they were simply doing as they'd been told, he would have preferred they wait at least a short while before interrupting. It was a matter that Brayden would have to take up with the Captain back on Endelaan. A man that, technically, only listened to Brayden out of respect for his father and the reality that he may one day answer to Brayden or Scherezade. Turning his attention back to Adron and Alessandra once more, Brayden smiled politely. "It was a pleasure meeting you both. Enjoy your celebration."

Falling silent, Brayden allowed Faye the opportunity to say her goodbyes before they both turned and departed in the company of the two warriors. Apparently suitable facilities for growing the Embryo had been identified, and Eve had advised Brayden things could proceed as soon as he arrived to authorize the action and select an embryo. Naturally, Brayden was very interested in taking the next steps in preparing for the separation of [member="Scherezade deWinter"] and Madalena.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay breathed in an inward sigh of relief. No longer in an uncomfortable conversation, both [member="Veiere Arenais"] and herself were on their own again. Fortunately their Force Bond allowed them to communicate with eachother easily enough and in such a subtle way that others couldn't pick up on it.

She tilted her head towards him as he spoke to her softly. Her response was also under her own breath. "Not always. But in crowds such as these where we are only known through gossip and holo-news, it's a lot more common.
Adron should be around here somewhere."
No doubt their host [member="Adron Malvern"] was busy taking care of matters. Would they get to catch up on eachother's lives today? Probably not. But the possibility was still there.

"Shall we get a drink, my dear?" Kay was quite fond of tea as most knew. Whether or not there was any available was yet to be seen. Veuere no doubt would be picking something a little more stiffer.

Alwine fat? The petite blinked, grinning. She could fit into an air conductor if she so wished. On Coruscant, her shops to shop at were the ones that catered to children. There were many things that could be said about Alwine's physique, but words like big or fat were not part of the lexicon.

"What are the Dauntless Commandos?" she found herself asking with genuine interest. Alwine knew little of the Confederacy at large; even among the Knights Obsidian, which she was part of, she knew very little. Perhaps… That was an oversight on her part. She had joined only because of her brother, and had explored very little beyond personal training.

Aiden had just placed the tumbler back on top of the bar when he sensed movement from Naedira towards his own person. As she never really reached out to him in a loving manner before, the Sith Lord’s body didn’t exactly tense, but it prepared to react defensively. The playful smile that had lingered on his lips dissipated almost immediately as silver-green eyes shot to Naedira’s own hand resting softly in his own.

In that moment, a tidal wave of emotions crashed around the spited of his conscious mind. There were blocks there, walls of impossible height designed to keep such emotions from spilling into the vulnerable areas of his mind. Up to this point, they been threatened perhaps on occasion but remained resolute in their sacred duty.

As Naedira raised his hand to her cheek, the Sith Lord felt the first waves of emotions rolling over the top of said barriers. In all of their many interactions, there had always been something there, but they both seemed to do a good job remaining detached, unaffected.

Or so they thought...

Aiden had personally managed to tell himself it was a simple effect of lust and respect for professional competency. The large Sith had avoided the game of his family purposefully. It was not his purpose to fall in love, to ascend to any throne to the jubilant cheers of a large party. His was an existence of consequence; a course correction that any family or societal entity would ultimately require.

As Naedira began to nuzzle her face into his palm, Aiden could no longer hold back the tidal wave. Emotions spilled into his mind, triggering a release into the warmth of his body, his presence in the Force bolstering and wrapping around Naedira like a warm, protective barrier against all the galaxy. For the most part, his facial expression remained neutral, determined, but his gaze burned brighter than she would ever have seen before. No matter how hard he tried, it seemed that Naedira’s existence, her heart never permitted him to actually step away for long, to lose her.

A slow exhale escape Aiden’s lips as he held Naedira’s chestnut gaze. ”Duty, family...” The Sith Lord paused only long enough for his thumb to gently caress the side of the Naboo native’s face. With a single step, Aiden closed the distance between them. The very scent of the woman before him filled his nostrils while his own scent, reminescent of a fragrant winter morning in a heavily wooded forest, faded from his mind.

While his voice remained as deep as always, it seemed...softer now, almost taking on the sensation of smooth molasses. ”Will still be here tomorrow and the day after.” The Viceroy’s free hand snaked around Naedira’s waist, pulling her body tightly against his own. Dragging his soft lips lightly against the cheek he was not holding, Aiden allowed then to come to rest on her ear as he whispered. ”Tonight, this moment is finite, but I intend for it to last for as long as possible.”

Gently, Aiden nipped Naedira’s ear before recoiling just enough to redirect his lips to her own. The soft, passionate kiss initiated harmless enough, but the emotions radiating throughout Aiden’s body quickly transferred through his lips, causing the kiss to deepen immensely. Allowing his hands to drop, the Viceroy firmly grasped the Executor’s buttocks, hoisting Naedira’s waist just above his own.

Allowing her legs to wrap around his mid-section, a mist of blue-white energy seemed to radiate around the pair as the atmosphere around then seemed to fold and bend in on itself. A single, muscular arm forced its attached hand up the outside of Naedira’s exposed thigh. Just as it began to disappear beneath the folds of fabric, the two Sith snapped out of existence with an audible pop.

In their wake, they left a rush of blue-white energy before the space-time in the area returned to normal.

Lirka let out a hardy chuckle, and shrugged.

“Hell if I know, was just told I’d work good in them. Got tired of having to “worry” about Droids turning on me.”

Lirka wasn’t actually worried about the treason, of course, more just absolutely livid about it. She had lost one of her Honor Guard to those metal bastards. And can’t exactly go and forgive the metal heads for that, not yet at least: they’d pay in time. But the Sephi quickly jumped from the topic of the Commandos.

“Though on the topic of fat...”

Lirka grunted, popping off some of her arm plates. That slow and far too long process of at least getting the skin of her arm showing.

“See it and weep Jhorti Kas”

Seems someone had a good diet, the part of her arm showed was just rippling muscle, just a brick of a woman.

She did not know either? The Lupine blinked, looking at the gargantuan woman with surprise. Why join a group you knew absolutely nothing about? Was her time that free to waste? "What do you mean having droids turn on you?" she asked, even more confused than she had been a moment before then.

Alwine looked and rolled her eyes as the Sephi took much longer than needed to strip the plates off her arms and show the muscles. She looked those arms up and down once they were exposed. The muscles were big, and taunt beneath the skin. The Shield Maidens of Stewjon would have been proud to have Lirka among their ranks.

But Alwine was not a Shield Maiden.

"That's it?" She asked, her tone obviously mocking the drunk one.

“Talia mae oraesori, broken quite a lot of little ones like you with this arm.”

Lirka let out another drunken laugh, even she couldn’t deny how stupid it was. But what better was there to show off how much of a living weapon she had become? Not too much else, unless it was gloating about the old days as a pit fighter.

“On that one rock, Seltos, Droids decided to flick those blasters on us. Ever punched a droid into scrap?”

A rather stupid grin had grown across her face, the fighting on Seltos had obliterated Lirka: one of the only times she had been taken down for just sheer pain and damage, but she did get a punch Droids.

To her surprise—Aiden didn’t pull away.

She kept her cheek to his palm and her eyes fell closed. It wasn’t the whiskey. Naedira hadn’t imbibed nearly enough liquor to have become impaired. There was just something about the evening that made her want to feel his skin, his warmth, even if it was against her better judgment. Feathery lashes dusted against rose-hued cheeks for a moment before her dusky orbs flickered open to meet his. They were mesmerizing, like nothing she had ever seen, but it had never been her place to think it. Nor to comment.

The usual ebb and flow of his presence seemed to swell. Naedira felt it like a crack of thunder when the metaphysical dam broke. Her expression became confused, startled, but his gaze bought her silence. Silvery green and bright in a way she couldn’t fathom. Her lips parted to ask him what happened, what had changed, but she could only shake her head and keep his hand close while she tried to navigate the deluge that followed.

Unbridled emotion triggered an ache in her soul she had tried to bury. Sensations that she had long forgotten rocked the steady reality that she had forcibly gotten used to. The auburn-haired woman could feel how much he had either been ignoring or, had otherwise been keeping from her. How had she not noticed? Was she truly so unobservant or were they both this oblivious?

When he spoke, her ears melted, though she remained perfectly still. She was afraid to move, afraid to breathe, lest the moment changed and the spell broke. His caress to her face caused lavender lids to drop over cinnamon-flecked eyes again. It felt good. Better than it should have considering they were still very much in public. It was strange that the smallest display of affection from either one of them seemed to speak louder than something more obvious. The sound of him lulled her and although she heard the words, she scarcely understood, until they were suddenly physically much closer than they had been. Her pulse filled her ears and deafened the rest of the festival.

Naedira couldn’t hear, or feel, anything but him. She inhaled sharply when he nipped at her ear and slender fingers tightened around his. “Are you—“, her words were blotted out by his lips covering her own, swallowing her uncertainties, eating her fears. Her moments of weakness continued. The deeply hidden desire to not feel so very alone had been dredged from the darkness. His passion quelled it, erased it, and she found herself responding as if it might be the last kiss they would ever have.

As Aiden lifted her up and she lay her palms on either side of his face in a sweet caress. The Knight would have been surprised by the sudden movement if she actually had time to think about it. As it stood, she didn’t care, save for the fact that the Sith Lord brought her closer. Her right hand slid back, threading through his hair, before her fingers curled in it. Aiden had somehow invaded her every thought, every beat of her heart. The fact that they fit together like unmarked puzzle pieces only added more to a silent truth.

Careful lips brushed against his, over, and over until all caution fled with the wind. She was drowning in him, disappearing, but she refused to come up for air. There was nothing innocent about it, no teasing, but he would find it almost scorching, passionate, and very nearly demanding. Aiden would learn what it was like to hold on to fire. She couldn’t save him from that. Didn’t want to.

Naedira didn’t notice the field of Force energy that surrounded them. How could she? He was all she was capable of focusing on as the world fell away. The mist that began to conceal their actions was nothing but the haze of a dream. When they were gone? That was it. They were gone.

The only thing to remain would be two finished glasses of whiskey.

Alwine rolled her eyes for the millionth time that morning. The giant of a woman kept insisting on showing of her physical brute strength time and time again, but there was no joy in this. There was no challenge in this.

“Do you have any other goals in your life other than growing ugly muscles that can be popped with the touch of a pin?” the Lupine asked, “or is brute strength all you have learned to manage to offer in your over a hundred years’ worth of a life?”

"I have done 127 years of nothing, Jhorti Kas. Whatever chance I did have I have squandered."

Seems she hit a nerve, though plucking a string seemed far more applicable: no anger pierced through her accented voice. Maybe a hint of longing, regret even, carefully hidden under the many layers of a carefully well kept wall of cold brutality. Lirka had made many many mistakes in her life, and even she could admit it.

"But my old lines of work required brute strength, that ruthless brutality. It's what made me excel at my art. I have learned other things though, the arts, how to hold booze, among other things."

Expect the unexpected.

Karking, bleeding, hell.
Alessandra could feel her polite smile fall as a strange call came in through her comm. It was from an unknown sector, requesting permission, but voice recognition picked up the distressed vocals of her sibling. Not her brother. No, Gunther Jr. would never, ever, try and contact her this way. Her father’s son would arrive in her backyard with a fleet so large the Confederacy would think they were being invaded. Why? He would likely think it humorous to watch the droid-nation panic. And, to watch his sister fume, of course. “I accept.”, she told the recording coldly, and the rapid-fire explanation filled her head.

No, this was her elder half-sister. The Creed woman could feel her chest tighten just a little bit at the distress call that echoed in her earpiece. It wasn’t the sound of Mishel, no, it was the sound of blaster-fire far too close to the microphone. Which meant it was way too close to her head.

Alessandra placed her hand on the small piece in her ear and turned her head away to keep her conversation relatively private. Adron’s shoulder was as a good a sound barrier as any at a noisy event like this and he would always provide her cover.

“Wait, Mishel—What’s happening?”

The line disconnected. Her jaw tightened. How was she—

Why was she—

Alessandra took a deep breath and forced a dazzling smile to her features as [member="Brayden Antares"] and [member="Faye Malvern"] took their leave. The interruption of a pair of men, referring to the tall man as ‘Your Highness’, caused the dark-haired woman to raise a brow. So, there was far more to the story, than what the paramour of the littlest Malvern had alluded to. [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"] had yet to respond to her previous inquiry, but, the Minister of Commerce made sure to let her know how she could get to the surface if needed.

Adron. She turned to him, apologetic, but she couldn’t let her sister come to harm. She was supposed to enjoying the evening festivities of Ropagi. “I have to go. I know you wanted me to meet the King and Queen of Commenor but—“, she paused, before leaning up to kiss him soundly. He would know. Family always won out. More than duty, more than money, more than anything else.

Blood was blood.

The statuesque woman pulled away from the Exarch and departed the balcony swiftly. Her duties had been met. A quick trip to her shuttle later found her headed to the last place Mishel had sent her the coordinates for.

Now, she would find whomever was shooting at her sister, and deal with them accordingly.

Permanently.

Whatever chance she'd had, she'd squandered. Alwine turned silent, for the first moment now being able to see the woman in front of her as more than just a senseless mass of muscles. The sense of squandered opportunities was not a stranger to Alwine, though her circumstances were probably vastly different, simply due to the differences in upbringing she could easily guess there were between her and Lirka.

"I am sorry for the losses you have endured," Alwine said, her voice full of empathy. Perhaps… Perhaps she had misjudged this unit of a woman. For half a moment, she considered putting a hand over hers, but then thought it better not to, not knowing how the big woman would respond to physical touch, even if its intent was to merely comfort.

"What would you have done differently, given the opportunity?" she asked then, curiosity getting the better of her.

There was always more to Lirka than that all consuming rage, and the unending bloodlust that came with it. She had teachings in the arts, politics, successful careers, and many many wasted decades chasing after meaningless pleasures.

“Os shys eisi aestia eil cylyrn, your words are nicer than most.”

That was very much not what she said, but it seemed far nicer to play the card of at least being moderately pleasant. No reason to fight the girl, the empathy was amusing though. It was a foreign concept to Lirka now, coming in sporadic and violent bursts and little else: you do not feel empathy for your opponent, and you did not feel empathy for your bounty. And those two careers had consumed much of her life.

“Stay home, continue with politics till the Mandalorians scum tore it all down. Never abandon Choah and continue a more comfortable career there: until something finally killed me. Become an artisan maybe. Find something that would matter: I chose instead to chase bloodlust and little else, I became a meaningless dot in the vast span of the Underworld.”

Was she regretful? Of course. That was why her hatred for Mandalorians burned so bright, but she was a cold woman in times like this. Never show weakness. Never.

Alwine said nothing at first. Her words had been accepted as kindness, which they were meant to be. The Lupine remained quiet as she listened to the Sephi's tale of her life, the things she would have done otherwise if she was given the chance.

There was little of it in there that she could understand. Alwine knew preciously nothing about the Mandalorians, the name Choah was new to her, and how things operated in the underworld were also beyond her knowledge. But she could hear the longing there, the longing for a life lived differently, for choices being other than what they had been. And connecting it all, that thin thread of regret that was so brutal even when so artistically covered.

"You are not meaningless, jatha'la rewt uss," she said at last, "you do not seem too old to decide what to do with what remains of your life. If you wish to be less of a brute and do other things, you still may. There were many bad things on the world from which I am from, but there was one thing that had always seemed so dear to me – a Warrior's true spirit was never limited to the blade. Arts, storytelling, even brewery. A Warrior was a weapon, yes, but never a weapon only."

There went the payphone.

Mishel stared blankly at where the device once stood and was now a smoldering pile of nothing. She dropped the reciever, turned on her heel and booked it for the alley. The woman's shoes hit the pavement kicking up water in the process. She force leaped for the nearest building and began to scale it. More blaster bolts continued to fire most of them missed thankfully. All of this for one measily crystal, blaster vest over her shirt with a pair of Corellian flight pants and boots. Landing on the roof of another building Mishel took a look behind her. More droids, she waited until they got a little closer before hitting them with a telekinetic blast. Looking around it was time to find another exit until then - keep running.

The crystal remained in her blaster vest pocket as she slid down the fabric of an awning and landed back on the ground. Boots hit the dirt, muddy prints were left behind as she sped around to a busy sidewalk and took hold of a hoverbike. "Here, sorry." She handed the guy a credit stick and took off on the hoverbike. The sound of droids speaking in binary were a distant thing now while the hoverbike cruised down the streets of a Roldalnan city. The crystal she had, had been one she dug up on Tatooine but had it stolen away from her the same time they impounded her ship. She had no idea who these guys were but being in the same sector as Ropagi had its benefits. Namely, hoping her sister could come and get her boat at the least. For now, Mishel seemed to be okay heading out along the dirt paths to Darodeon, a nearby settlement.

Cardinal led the way outside and the moment they hit the streets it was like a sensory overload. The Dominus Prime had suffered from this when he first left his hotel, but it seemed as the night went on the party was only growing. They began to squeeze through the crowd that had taken over the front of the night club. Most of them were intoxicated or actively seeking that end. As Cardinal moved he could feel the alcohol in his system. It made him feel slower, even a bit sluggish. He hated the feeling and knew that he had enough to drink. Taking Madalena’s hand he guided her through, though it was actually much harder for him to move around considering how large he was. Even on this planet the people were significantly smaller than him, which made it easier for him to get jarred in the crowd. Once they broke through the initial mass, Cardinal released Madalena’s hand and looked back at what they had just gone through.

Well, that wasn’t too bad.” An alleyway led them into a parallel street that was filled with vendors, set in front of an already large selection of shops and markets. This street was a bit more contained and the total level of mass intoxication was a bit lower. More Cardinal’s speed. He arched a brow down to Madalena when she asked his favorite plant. No one had ever asked him his favorite plant before. Most people did not even comment on his little hobby at all.

Well I’m not really sure. Actually I don’t even know the names of all my plants.” Cardinal kept walking as he considered his plants, namely the ones that were in his office. There was only one that he kept in every office he had throughout The Confederacy. “The Lycandis. It’s a small red and green fern that I keep on my bookshelf at my main office. I have a few of them and they have a smell I really like. It’s actually from my homeworld. Well it can be found on my homeworld.” He explained to her. The plant let off a scent that reminded Cardinal of the jungle, the chase, the hunt. Normally he did not enjoy many things that triggered memories of his younger days. For some reason he always he enjoyed recollecting things via scent. Now when it came to Cardinal’s favorite planet? That was not a difficult answer.

Kashyyyk. I’ve never actually been. I know this sounds a bit weird but I’ve always wanted to go and meet the Wookie clans. I have always enjoyed Wookies and they make some of the best coffee you’d ever have.” It was interesting that out of all the worlds Cardinal had seen it was one of the many he had not that drew his attention most.

He turned the woman's question back on her with an interested expression. "What about you? What planet do you like the most?" Cardinal was beginning to wonder what hobbies Madalena may have? He knew she spent a good deal of time in training and on missions, but even he was able to devote time to his plants. After she answered, the two would make their way to a very unique vendor. He had an array of plants and animals, some of which were difficult to tell apart. Cardinal looked over the plants closely, with a sage-like expression on his face as he took in the ones he did not recognize. "You found out my hobby. Do you have any?"

Somehow, the arm had turned into a hand. Madalena found herself smiling as she and Cardinal resumed their walk. Usually, she was a hot spot for conversation, knowing how to make dialogue flow. It was rare that she was in close proximity to people and silence reigned outside of relevant missions, yet in those few moments, she found the silence comforting, almost caressing both her and the man by her side. The crowds around them almost did not exist to her.

And then he let her hand go.

Madalena blinked in surprise, but said nothing. It was probably more… Proper, this way. Walking by Cardinal's side, it was he who eventually broke the silence, answering questions she had forgotten she'd even asked.

Lycandis. The name sounded familiar, and Madalena tried to rack her brain over all the biology lessons she'd ever received on Coruscant to try to remember where that plant was from, but nothing came up. She committed the name to memory, deciding to look for where it could found later on, when she could sit down and search the holoweb.

"You have never been to Kashyyk?" she asked with wonder, "Perhaps we could remedy that. I find myself there as often. When I am not on Knights Obsidian duty, I am a liaison between the Confederacy and the Silvers. I aid their missions often, the Grandmaster is a personal friend of mine, and the Rest is located on that planet. The Wookies are usually friendly and the jungles are a sight to behold."

Pausing a moment, a smile came to her face. "Perhaps we could go there and cultivate some of the plants for you. Maybe kill a giant spider or two while we're there as well."

The two arrived at a… Plant vendor? Madalena smiled, noting what Cardinal was looking at while they were there, trying to sniff out what his choices would be. "Well," she answered as he asked her about her own hobbies, "Meat preservation. The kitchen on my ship is full of my experiments, and I can make really mean air dried sausages. I've also started messing around with cheese, but that's proving to be a little more difficult since that requires much more attention, at least during the first few days." Meat and cheese. The two, alongside eggs, made pretty much her entire diet. "I also paint," she continued with enthusiasm, "I have entire murals that I painted on my ship. It's also amazing for sleepless nights."

Sunburnt eyes danced from one plant to another. He was not quite a boy on lifeday morning, but it was probably as close as Cardinal would get. Different plants from different worlds, these vendors could be found quite often in celebrations like this. Parties where people all over the galaxy decided to attend, perfect venue for foreign fauna. Of course the number of people to value this was a bit lower than some other vice, say alcohol, but Cardinal enjoyed it nevertheless.

When Madalena offered to take Cardinal to Kashyyyk his initial feeling was to accept, of course there was no assurance he would have time for such a venture. He was only even enjoying this day off because it was all but ordered. He nodded at Madalena, but let out an uneasy response. “I’m not sure I’ll ever have enough time. But if I do, we’ll do it.” He assured her, before leaning down to inhale the scent of a strange black and cyan flower. It had a sweet smell which Cardinal could have done without, but the flower itself was appealing. Digging a hand in his pocket, he aimed a finger at the flower. “Do you have the seed?” He would ask the vendor.

Producing a small metallic credit chit, Cardinal would pay for a sack of the odd plants seeds. The vendor would give him a small bag of seeds and he would turn to Madalena with an interested expression. “Experiments? I’d love to give them a try.” Cardinal was a mountain of a man, who could understandably eat enough for any three men. So the idea of fresh meats prepped and readied was almost a vision sent by The Force. “I never took you for the type who liked that kind of thing? Well, honestly I don’t know what type I could take you for. I’m not really a people person so...I guess I’m not good at reading people.

Turning away from the vendor, Cardinal looked to Madalena with a questioning arch of a brow. “You paint? You should show me one day. I’m sure you’re very skilled.

Madalena looked at Cardinal, noting the enjoyment he was getting out of seeing the plants, and smiled. She loved watching other people have fun – more so when she was having fun with them as well. While a plant vendor was hardly on her priority list, she was far from suffering or having a bad time, her own eyes occasionally glancing over some of the flowers, putting their pedestals to her memory. She could recreate those colors if she had the right tools.

"Time is made, Cardinal, not waited for," she said with a soft smile. Her own records showed just how many missions she regularly took on. And still, in between the plethora of V's she could mark on her check list of things done with the Knights Obsidian, she often made sure to take down time. Down time to go see friends, to go to parties, or just go swimming somewhere. Somewhere with shallow waters since she couldn't actually swim, but still.

When Cardinal said he would love to taste her experiments and see her paintings, her smile widened and she outright beamed, the glow of her eyes strengthening for just a moment. Madalena had many friends, but few of them had actually expressed interest in either of those things. "We can do it after you select your plants," she offered, "my ship is docking nearby."

It would be a friendly visit, no more than that. But she could show him. She could show him her experiments, explain her art. People had patience for such things so very rarely. The mere idea of someone expressing even mild interest was enough to send her into excitement mode. But the plants would come first.

When Madalena said time was made, not waited for it actually caused The Dominus to chuckle a bit. “Yes, I suppose you’re right.” He agreed with what she said. Perhaps he did just need to force himself a bit harder to make more time for his own ventures. Of course, that would mean his precious order would suffer in his stead. The mere thought of this put a slight frown on his face, though it was quickly replaced with a content expression. Cardinal tucked the small bag of seeds into his pocket, before arching a brow at Madalena. “Nearby? Well…” Cardinal glanced down to a small black watch that was on his wrist. The device told that it was still fairly early, so they could probably take a quick trip to her ship. Plus it would get him the hell out of this giant party.

It’s probably not as loud as it is here, so sure.” He said, turning back to the crowds behind them. Again they would have to maneuver through the crowd and the large man took Madalena’s hand. He kept her close as they moved, speaking to her a bit more as they moved through the streets. “When The Vicelord first brought me to The Confederacy he tried to take me to a club on some core world. It was a disaster.” He chuckled out. It seemed Cardinal was actually opening up a bit, rather than remain stoic and silent as he usually was.

I suppose he thought I was ready to be around people for social reasons.” Cardinal said, before biting the inside of his bottom lip. “I uhm…threw a spear through a holoemitter and bit a guy. That was also the last time I had anything to drink.” Cardinal could vaguely remember that day. It had been a rather long night which ended in a less than enjoyable scolding from his elder brother. Though the memory was not his favorite, as it was one that was from when the man was still a savage at heart, he did not frown this time. They parted through the crowd and found themselves in another section of the street that was manageable. This time Cardinal’s hand did not abandon Madalena’s. Whether he knew or not was yet to be seen but the large man did not bring it up.

Now, where is that spaceport?” He asked, arching a brow. Cardinal’s mind was considering their actions. Knight’s Obsidians were forbidden from fraternizing when on duty. Of course, they were not on active orders so there was really no reason for this to be considered anything other than a friendly visit. In the end he pushed the thoughts away and looked back down to the woman beside him. “Honestly, if it wasn’t for The Vicelord there is no telling what I’d be right now.
